I stopped taking my cars there a few years ago and will never go back again.Even though I had taken three vehicles to him for various services over a period of about five years and felt, that as a professional with an 850-credit rating and a history of paying on the spot for repairs, I should be trusted to write a check rather than having to produce a credit card for every repair/service even for modest expenses like oil changes.On one occasion, he insisted that I needed new wheel bearings and tried to show me the play in my front wheels even though I could not detect any play. Because of his insistence, I agreed to allow him to perform the work, though, in retrospect, I should have gotten a second opinion.The deal breaker was a result of some work that left the steering on a C-class pulling violently to center whenever I would turn right or left. I complained a few times, but he insisted that there was no defect. I asked him to take a test drive with me and even then he asserted that the strong pull to center was normal. I knew it was not. Finally, I took the vehicle to another repair shop, they determined that the rack and pinion toe-in was the source of the problem and missing tie-rod ends. After the repair by the other shop (which accepted my check on my first visit) the steering worked fine.When I reported to Julian what the other shop had determined about the steering, he had the nerve to say to me that one of the reasons he had not acknowledged the problem was because I had always expressed a desire to keep repair costs to a minimum! I was grossly insulted. What customer doesn t try to negotiate the lowest fair price for auto repair expenses?One of the vehicles he had worked on for me was a 96 SL 320. On one occasion, when I picked up the SL from him, the driver s side door panel pulled away from the door when I attempted to close it. When I mentioned it to Julian, he said that he had done nothing to the door that would have caused it. In spite of his denial, he and I both know that when I brought the vehicle in to him the door panel was not loose.At one point, I had lost a special screw that held the oil pan cover underneath the SL, and he asked me to leave the remaining screw with him and he would attempt to find a match. When I complained of the steering in the C-Class a year or so later, and got the problem fixed at another shop, he realized I was probably never going to return to his shop, and when I asked him to return the one screw. He told me he had used it on another vehicle. I was incredulous! Not only had he not found a matching screw, but he had also given away the one screw that held up the other end of the protective baffle. As I was about to leave the shop in disgust, he handed me a handful of plastic clips and said they go somewhere at the top of a liner ??? I took the clips and went home and have been unable to find a place where they might belong (I suspect the missing clips was a case of a mix-up involving someone else s vehicle as in the case of my screw). I should have told him to hold on to the clips and I would bring the vehicle in and let him insert them wherever he thought they were supposed to go. I was, however, so frustrated over his attempt to convince me that there was nothing wrong with the steering on the C-Class and his assertion that I had expressed a desire to keep expenses as low as possible, as his lame excuse for having been dishonest with me about it, that I just left in disgust.I have refrained from writing a review up to now even though it made my blood boil whenever I thought about my experience with J&C Auto. I kept it bottled up for years. I could contain it no longer. Hopefully, it will help others who might have considered the shop for repair work. Very trustworthy, very smart. Brought my Audi here with problems and they were the only ones that were able to figure out the problem. I highly recommend them! Diagnostic can be a little expensive but its worth it with the service they offer! Im a satisfied customer!! Thank you Julian!

I stopped by to discuss what was going on with my car. Mr. Julian was very detailed and very patient with informing me me step by step with the job he would half to do before we could get to the root of my car problems. He detailed the expenses as well. I am very confident in him and I am well informed to make a good choice with J & C Auto services. I left feeling like I was at the best ER for cars and this Dr. Mechanic will get her running superb again. Thank you MR. Julian for being that great person and businessman.

I have used J and C mechanics for about a year for all type of mechanical works. Mr. Julian not only fixed my brakes right, but also offered me discount on my next service. I have even been promised free oil change as a courtesy. The mechanics there always go beyond to make sure their customers are 100% satisfied. My 2015 Volkswagen was displaying a check engine notification. I googled auto mechanics that can fix VWs and was led to J&C Auto Service. I didn't want to take my car directly to VW as I know it would be a lot more expensive and difficult to get an appointment. I also didn't want to drive the car and make things worse. I called Mr. Julian and he was very professional and caring. He even recommended a towing company to get my car to his business. Once my car was there, he was able to diagnose the issues in a timely, efficient manner. He called and broke down step-by-step his recommendation for fixing my car. I felt compelled to utilize Mr. Julian, sight unseen based on his demeanor over the phone. He was able to fix my car a day earlier than I expected and got me back on the road. His longevity in this industry is a rarity nowadays. Julian is very knowledgeable about cars and was able to fix my screen problem in less than a week. This was my second time seeing him and the service was still great. It also came with a warranty and free oil change. Please check them out!

My 2014 Audi Q5 was serviced for water pump replacement. J&C was a big help in a time of need. Julian was very thorough and kept me updated the entire time. I appreciated his honesty, transparency and experienced opinion throughout the repair process. I will suggest J&C to everyone I know in need of car servicing needs. Thank you for your professionalism and integrity. This character in modern American business is absent most of the time. My only regret is not coming here sooner. Thank you Julian!

Check engine light was on ...did diagnostic and proceeded to work on my car on a trial and error basis....fix one thingng...light came back on....try another thing...light comes back on...after 5 times and over $650 (excluding the 135 or so money for diagnostic which seems to be a reoccurringthem from some of the other bad reviews) over a 3 month period of time...and they wanted me to bring it back for more exploitative service. ENOUGH WAS ENOUGH!!! I Took it to Douglasville car care on Fairburn road and the guy did diagnostic and had it fixed in 2 hrs for $160 but they stated that there were hoses left off and and if I wanted the put back on (over the gas tank) the would charge $60 to ensure everything was properly fixed...so $245 and the care is running perfectly since....these guys are liars and cheats. If you choose to do business with them....I will pray for you. We are in current talk with cc company to dispute the charges...if nothing happens we will take them to court where they can't lie under oath.

Went to J&C auto for check engine light. Diagnostic was performed. They went so far as to show me a video of my problem first time for that. Honest, very knowledgeable, and work was done in a timely manner. Would recommend to anyone.

Will only quote most expensive parts and discourages owners from buying their own. Invoices/work orders are very confusing and not detailed enough for the amount of money they're asking for.Update and response to the owner. Nothing I have said above is incorrect and I never said anything about you doing people wrong yet you want to accuse me of poor maintenance when most of my car's problems were caused by a really bad blowout that could've killed my husband last year. So don't assume you know my car maintenance pattern because you don't know me. My car also has 200k+ miles on it so who in their right mind would put the most expensive replacement parts on it?? A family of five, especially with three children under 10, cannot afford to give a mechanic $1000+ every time something is wrong with their vehicle. Did he work with us previously to give us more time to pay? Yes, he did. While we were appreciative of this, it does not negate what I said before. If you're gonna charge somebody $145 per engine mount (he said I need 5 of them), give them a detailed invoice listing every charge and what its for. Write clearly and legibly so the customer can understand...not over other ink on the paper. Every mechanic I showed your invoice to, including my father who has worked on cars my whole life, thinks you're trying to get over on people because of how confusing it is. So again, your invoice should be more detailed including ALL prices. If you want to only use new parts, fine. That's your business. But don't judge your customers or make them feel cheap because they're trying to save money. Thanks for explaining what's wrong with my car so I can go elsewhere. Have a better day.

We take all of our car/truck concerns to this shop. The owner/mechanic is very knowledgeable and can (if you ask) explain your vehicle problem to you, even if you don't know anything about automobiles. He, his wife are salt of the earth people, and hard working Christians. We appreciate the fact that we can call the owner ahead of time, and ask about availability to schedule our auto for service before dropping one off over night. We have also called and received same day service. The owner has completely rebuilt the transmission in our Diesel Jeep Liberty. He has also worked on our other owned vehicles such as Toyota Tundra, Dodge Ram 2500, Volkswagen Jetta, and Mazda Miata. I can't say enough great things about this place. Brought my car in because my axel went bad, he took his time and made sure that everything else was still in working condition and there weren't any other problems. Very professional, kept me updated as I waited in the lobby and even gave me a discount for waiting a few hours. Not only that but he wasn't afraid to work on my volkswagen unlike the 5 other places I contacted before finding j & c. It doesn't get better than this place around here!

Great experience with J&C! Took car in with engine light on...diagnostics were run and everything was explained to me as to what needed to be done and replaced. I definitely appreciated him showing me what he was going to replace and explaining all of the diagnostics to me as well. I will be back for service in the future.

Took My BMW 325i one time and had no problems. The job was to replace the starter and a full tune up. Though a little pricey, they used good quality original parts for my car and not just some trash made in China. My experience is good and I recommend him to everyone.

I ve been servicing two of my cars at J&C Auto for a long time and I m very happy with quality of work they do at a fair price. If for any reason you re not happy they will go out of their way to make things right. Definitely coming back here.

Went with check engine light on. There were 3 things wrong. He said he'd fix the one that caused it and I could come back for the other two. With Christmas 2 days away that was really all I had money for. I cried. He told me he had a wife 2 daughters and 2 sisters. Said he wouldn't want them cheated so he wouldn't ever do that to one. Knowing this has happened before I was so happy to feel safe taking my car here.

I received excellent service from this mechanic. They are very knowledgeable about automobiles and if they can do something they will let you know and if they can t do something they will let you know before you pay. They also have a great time management skills so you will not be waiting for your vehicle for ever. I would recommend JC auto to anybody who is looking for a good honest mechanic.

On all That is Holy.. Never Take your car to this Place.. They will waste your time and your money!Called on a Saturday, and asked how much to replace CV axel, was told about $700, and was told oh yeah sure bring your car in, but we cant work on it until Monday. Had my BMW Towed there on Monday, and was told they could not work on the car until they rec'd a written authorization to work on the car. Since I was out of town, I email them authorization only for the CV Axel. Called Tues, I was told they were buzy, Called Wednesday, I was told the would, call me back on Thursday. Called on the End of Day on Thursday, They told me they are working on 14 - 15 cars at a time, and to be patient, they will call me.So I back off, This is my only transportation, I'm currently working out of town, and getting upset with this guy is only going to make things worst, because he has my vehicle. I called back the next week, because of no response from this Guy, and I tell him that I'm having my car picked up, and taken to another shop. He then tells me that he called me twice, and got no answer( which is a bold face lie), I had no miss calls, or voicemails. I asked why didn't he leave a VM, and he said he was too buzy to leave a VM (REALLY???)He then tells me I need a complete differential replacement $1500 - $1600. At this point, I don't trust this guy to even change my oil, I tell him would rather take it somewhere else for the repair. He then tells me I owe him a full diagnostic fee of $100, because he check the error codes on my Dash. I told him that, I didn't ask or authorized error code diagnostic, and he stated that I could not pick up my car without paying him. I was so angry could not even form sentences, and I hung up. If I continued to talk to this P.O.S Repair Guy, things would only get worst, So I had my wife call just to pay him his money.I then had my car towed to another shop, and it was fixed in 2 days, the problem was exactly was I asked this place to fix, for less.This place tried to get me for $1600, for something that should have cost $600, and then because, I declined to get the work done, Out Of No Where, he charges me a $100 diagnostic fee, which I'm sure he lied about checking.I don't know this guy, I have no reason to spend my time typing all of this if it was not true. I just hope to save somebody else the time, money, headache, and frustration. This Guy is Dishonest, and Deceitful, and God help anyone who takes their car there.

Was charged $350 to inspect the vehicle to tell me what I already told them was wrong. Granted they were able to put together a much larger estimate for repairs, another company repaired it for a fraction.

Paid for a service that i was told will take 3 hours to complete just to have them tell me exactly what i told them was wrong with the car. They also did not notify me that they were preparing to leave for the day, i had to call and find that out myself. Asked for a refund due to a job that wasn t done but was fully paid for and the owner drove off with his son. TAKE YOUR BUISNESS ELSEWHERE SAVE THE MONEY THAT YOU WILL WASTE HERE.

Worst experience ever. Took my BMW 323I here and he told us we needed a part. He charged us over $200.00 and says he replaced it and he didn't change the part. Took it to the dealer and they said the part had never been changed and didn't need to be changed. BEWARE.

DO NOT USED THIS SHOP. HE IS A RIP-OFF.HE WILL TELL YOU ONE PRICE AND BEFORE YOU GET YOUR CAR BACK IT WILL BE ANOTHER PRICE. I HAD TO GET DOUGLASVILLE POLICE TO MEET ME THERE TO GET MY CAR AND IT STILL WASN'T FIXED
