We were on the road, 4 hours from home, and our van overheated. Parts needed replacing. Douglas City Auto Care completed repairs the same day for us. Saving us from having to obtain a hotel room and missing prior scheduled family events. We were unable to find, and obtain, a rental vehicle to continue our travels. I am thankful for their kindness and prompt service.

My truck broke down on I-20 on December 30, 2023. I had my vehicle towed to Douglas County Auto Care and rented a car to get home. I called them when they opened back up on January 2 and they had my truck fixed the next day. I can t say enough about their communication and professionalism.

Bob did a great job of getting me through with a full lot of cars (I got the last spot). I came when they opened and I left in 2 hours. Just had a simple oil change that I couldn t do as it is tricky but they did it efficiently. They noticed my battery was old and was slow to start (I concurred as I noticed it as well, they were not trying to fish me for money) and did it for me and was less expensive than the battery at the store. I just went to ask questions about my vehicle. There were two men and one female at the three service desks. I spoke to the female, and she was very helpful in answering my questions about what I would need when I told her what I thought the problem was, and I think it is the emission evap cannister behind the gas tank on my 2001 Tahoe. All three individuals were very professional and polite.

Just spoke with someone to get a quote for a 20 minute job, and they do not take parts from the customer either. A 20 minute job for $343 is not worth it, sorry Adding to this since the owner has kindly responded. I finished changing the thermostat myself, including draining the coolant out and topping it off again myself. I do respect people's businesses, but $343 is overreaching on costs.

Let me start by saying I have been a loyal customer of this shop since moving in the area in 2017. This is literally the only shop my car has been in for the past almost 5 years. I find the employees to be professional and honest and the prices are competitive. This is a great shop and stays busy with work for a reason... because they are good. However, I dropped my car off before 11am this morning for an oil change and alignment and was told I'd receive a call when the car was finished. Never received a call so I took a taxi to pick up vehicle just before closing time (6pm) and was told it wouldn't be ready until tomorrow. Absolutely unacceptable. I was never advised at the time of dropping off my vehicle that it wouldn't be ready until the next day. If that were the case, I would have brought it back and left it overnight (as I've done several times in the past) instead of losing an entire day without my vehicle. I hope the owner can get back with me and make it right because it's hard to find a reliable mechanic.

While I haven't been there for service, I did stop in to use ask for some air in my tires. A super friendly fella came out and filled my tires. When I tried to tip him he told me that, "This is just what we do ... Take care of our neighbors." That experience alone will ensure my business goes there. Friendly, helpful, and good neighbors... 10/10

This place is amazing. They truly help you. Prices are reasonable. I forgot who Me and my husband had, I just remember him being bald and in the middle check in desk, he worked on my 2012 Honda Civic. He was super helpful, kind, respectful and truly made sure we left with everything handled. Being able to leave your car here is such a great option as well. Also, I went to another place to get my rotors fixed, they wanted to charge me $600+ which I knew was absurd but I came to Douglas County AutoCare and they charged me less than 300!!!!!!! They will always have my business. Thanks to Corey s Cars for sending us. I live in Fayetteville and will make a hour drive for anything that needs fixing with my car. Super happy to have my rotors fixed .

Straight forward and gets the job done.I've been here a few times now and they're pretty consistent with their work and their customer service. I've never encountered anything I would categorize ad bad customer service, I just think that most of the time it's really busy in the shop and they just don't have time for small talk. In my opinion the staff has always been courteous, professional and transparent about wait time and needed services to your car.I do believe that some at the front are less engaging than others so I can see some people may think that's off-putting....however I'm not looking to have a long conversation with someone at a place of business knowing that might be keeping them from doing their job.The one thing I didn't like was the fact that they will be closed for a whole week (4th of July week). I wonder if this business is privately owned, if so I just will have to make due and find somewhere to get the service done I need. At least the gentleman told me this ahead of time

I've been coming here for years and have always trusted there services. Had a service done that had to be corrected and they honored it above and beyond. Great service I left this review two years ago. My dad takes his truck here. A very sweet man who works on his truck Darin is the best. My daddy will not take his truck to anywhere else. He has been taking his truck to him for years. He said he had spoken with the worker on a few occasions and he is a very hard worker and very nice. He said he is more than comfortable with Darin working on his truck. Thank you Darin because my dad never really has an opinion but has stated how happy he is with your work with your work that I thought I should edit my review. Thank you so much.

Wouldn t look at the nail in my tire and didn t offer an appointment the following day.Edit: My initial review should ve mentioned the lack of interest the employee had and the overall unwelcoming environment of the location. I was told no, but nothing else. I wouldn t have known the business didn t take appointments because the employee did not communicate anything else to me. This is poor communication and customer service. If you ve read the company s response below, you can see they clearly do not respect potential clients. It is unfortunate that a company thinks professionalism should be eliminated just because they have no availability. I wouldn t have left a review if I felt respected regardless of the outcome. I will never recommend this business to anyone.

Brought my car here thinking that something was significantly wrong with it. It ended up being something very minor. They were honest and did not try to find something to repair just to make money off of me. That is a rarity in this business! I find them to be very trustworthy and do very good work. I will always bring my business to them.

I went for an emissions test an hr before they closed. Good customer service. Service was fast. They were not busy at that time but I ve gone before and they are normally busy.

Seems to be are good place had my own parts which it was just are oil change but places like grease monkey want to charge 45-50 bucks with your own partspure greed this place only charge 25 bucks which is reasonable.

We have now been using Douglas County Auto Care for several years for our 3 cars and have had nothing but good experiences with this company, so I am rewarding our great experiences with an equally great review.My son is an automotive tech with a Mercedes dealership and I've told him that if ever he opens his own shop I want it to be like Douglas County Auto Care.The place is always immaculate inside, outside on the grounds, and in the shop itself.The techs and front office staff dress and behave professionally and are always helpful and polite.They are good about giving estimates and then staying well within the prices quoted. They are also excellent about working with you for alternative fixes if your budget is strained.They've also been on the ball with getting the jobs done in a timely fashion.We HIGHLY recommend this business (we drive a long way out of the way to use them; that's how much we trust them).My husband is a gear head and has always done our automotive work himself. This is the first place he has ever trusted to take our cars, and the first place he hasn't minded forking over the money to do our repairs and maintenance. That alone says a lot about them.It is getting to the point where an ethically run business that treats people well and does what they are supposed to do is a rarity--it feels good to reward good behavior!Always on the lookout for 5 star businesses.

This place is amazing! We had a last minute change of plans and now had to take my car out of town for Thanksgiving. But this wasn't known until the day before Thanksgiving. I knew my rotors need to be resurfaced on the front before we took the car. Im a firm believer that my failure in planning does not make it your urgency. I called and got a price and was told if i got it there but 1200 they could get me in. I headed straight over dropped it off and called for a ride. I knew the car had to be fitted in around other appointments and expected it to be a while. My car was ready for pick up within 2 hours of dropping it off.My experience was amazing and the employees were upfront with setting my expectations.I'll be returning for future services.

This place is impossible to reach by phone. I used to use them regularly and was very happy with their service. I cave called several times over the period of a week and have not been able to get anyone to talk to me. Twice last week and once this week I have called and let my phone ring. Once last week and once this week the phone rang and I was hung up on. I thought something had gone wrong with the call the first time, but sure enough, my phone showed that I had a several second phone call. One time I called this place and after ringing I received the internet phone noise. Did they forward me to a fax number? The phone number currently on their web site worked in the past. I have it saved in my phone from when I was having them work on my wife's Expedition previously. If they are so busy that they cant take a phone call and ask me to wait while they finish up a task, they must be too busy for my business.

Update: after this review the owner reached out and we were able to talk through the issue. It was a misunderstanding on both ends. We have resolved the issue.Original review:I can not deny the fact they do good work. Been taking my cars there for about 2 years. The work is very reliable and the workers are kind. Although my complaint is the owner. He can be rude at times and he says side comments that I think are very rude. For example I recommend a friend to have some work done on his truck. We went to pick up his truck today which he paid over $1000 in repairs with no problem. We are making small talk with the employee checking us out. The owner comes over and asks the employee could you ask your homeboys to move their truck so we can do some actual mechanic work around here. HOMEBOYS!!! I m a paying customer, not anyone's homeboy! I have no issues moving my vehicle if it s in the way, that s an easy and simple task. And if you asked me I would have simply done so. But to not even acknowledge me and talk as if I m not even standing right in front of you appalled me. We have to do better. It's 2022, a new year. Let's start it moving forward, not backwards.

I've used this location several times for regular maintenance on my vehicle. The guys really take care of you. Call you and let you know what's going on as they're working on your car and keep you posted. When it comes to maintenance and repairs these are my go to guys. I don't let anyone else in all of Douglasville touch my Chevy. These guys do GREAT work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

Took there for an over heating issue and a roaring noise. Brett told us the truck had not run hot with they left it running and drove it. No way they drove this truck or they would have had the same issue. Also said the noise was more than likely the front end. Brett told me that needed to be addressed first and for most. Picked up truck took to other shop. Went from fairburn rd to hwy 5 temp was at 222 and radiator was busted when we got to New shop but yet Brett told me truck was not running hot. The noise was the rear end not the front end. Will never go here again nor recommend anyone to go there. This is why it's hard to find someone you trust to work on your car.

I love coming here. I know that i am getting good, professional service. Ill never go anywhere else now! Prices are good! Half the price of the dealership! I've had the simplest of emissions test done here, to brakes and tires! Trey and Bob are great!

Mechanics were courteous and straight forward. Brett took the time to explain the issue my car was having and what it would take to repair. I noticed that they treated every customer with the same amount of patience and respect regardless of how very busy they were the day I visited the shop. If you need repairs from them on Monday or Fri, their busiest days, it is likely you will need to leave your car with them.

Worst customer service I ve ever seen. They had my mom s car and caused more damage than when the car was brought in. They offered to fix it, and then when they realized they couldn t, they refused to fix it. The owner was extremely rude, and even though he gave my mother a refund, he screamed at her and told her he was done working on her car. It s unfortunate that you can t rely on a reputable business in your town to at least stand by their 24 month warranty. Horrible outfit. This place has gone way down hill. Don t waste your time or money at this dump.

Brought my 1996 Chevy Impala SS in for a full tune up. Not only did the guys do the job I brought my vehicle in for, they also took time out to call me as they were working on my vehicle to inform me on other minor things that were going on with my vehicle that I was completely in aware off. Bob was great! He called to ask did I want to get certain things replaced while they already had parts off to make it easier. I was very satisfied with their service and I will definitely be taking my vehicles to them for any major or minor repair that I cannot handle myself.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine tuning

The guy at the counter was amazingly pleasant. This was my first visit to this establishment and I am so glad I choose to visit. I needed my car serviced and prepared for a long road trip. I felt so at ease when told that my care was in excellent condition and road worthy. They even reduced the amount of the service fee. They gave me an estimate of $45 and I only ended up paying $25. I will be returning when I'm in the area. I recommend this place for your next car service.
