Do not bring your vehicle here to be worked on. My truck has sat here since December 2022 with no resolution to getting my engine reinstalled after having paid for having the engine fixed. Several of my parts of my vehicle have been sitting out in the rain since December as well. They re unprofessional and are unwilling to do anything to resolve this matter. I have gotten a lawyer involved and have reported them to the BBB.

Please be sure to check your engine oil upon pick up of your vehicle at this establishment. It is necessary to drain the engine oil (yes) in order to replace a transmission. However, if not replenished upon repair You will have a locked ENGINE if you do not realize the oil has not been replenished from the drainage that was done to complete the TRANSMISSION repairs. Thank you

Please do not take your car here. I had a transmission put in and my car went back up there 3 times. Now my warranty is over and my transmission is still acting up. I wasted 2,800$ and my car is still not fixed. Go anywhere else beside there

Robbie was INCREDIBLY a lot of things came up with my car the left me pretty frustrated but Robbie was kind and patient and in the end gave me car back in better shape than it was when I first bought it ! Thank you Robbie!

SHOUT OUT to the team at AAmco Douglasville! Robbie, Marcus and Jay thank you all for going Above and Beyond to fix my Jeep. She was being a beast, stumped the dealership, but thanks to you for saving me thousands of dollars the dealer wanted to charge for something that wasn't even the problem.I am a customer for life and so very grateful for you all!

When I first looked up this place, I saw a lot of bad reviews and comments about John. All I can say is that he treated me with nothing but kindness, honesty, and professionalism. He even told me about an online coupon so I could get a discount on my inspection! The only negative in my whole experience was that they closed a few minutes early the day I came to pick up my vehicle, so I had to wait until the next day to get it. But that was mostly on me for showing up so close to the time they closed. Otherwise, everything was perfect! They told me that my transmission was shot, and the cost of the repair would have been more than the car was worth. They could have made some serious money off of me, but they chose honesty. A few days later, I brought a used car to them for an inspection, which helped me make the decision to purchase it. Both interactions with them were wonderful, and John took great care of me. Between both visits, I spent less than $25. I couldn't recommend them more! And I am truly thankful for the service John provided. Don't always trust what the reviews say, especially since most people who take the time to write a review are the unhappy ones, as satisfied people don't have a bone to pick. Stay away from this establishment if you can! This indeed is the worst car repair facility that I ve ever dealt with in more than 30+ years! John the service manager has the most poorest customer service skills of any individual in the capacity that he sits in out of all the shops that I ve visited over the years! If I did not call every day or every other day to check the status on my vehicle, John would say he s going to call me by 34 or before he closes and I never ever ever once receive a call back from John I mean ever! I will also contact the Better Business Bureau and lots of formal complaint against his business as well. As I said earlier if you can avoid this business by all means please please please stay away and find another establishment as they are not capable of running in establishment of this magnitude in my opinion!

On 4/13/2022, I had my vehicle towed to AAMCO in Douglasville to repair the transmission. I had to rent a vehicle to use while the shop kept my truck from 4/13 to 4/29/2022 when it was finally repaired and ready for pick up. On 5/13/2022, I called back in to AAMCO in Douglasville to report that the transmission was malfunctioning again and brought it to the shop to get it checked out. The mechanics stated to me that my catalytic converter was clogged and causing incorrect signals to be communicated to the trans which had caused a malfunction. They replaced both catalytic converters on the truck totaling $1,158.97 and stated that would fix the trans issues. The very next day 5/14/2022, I had to get the truck back over to the shop as the previous repair to the catalytic converters did not resolve the transmission issues. This caused me to have to rent another vehicle, this time for a bit over a week as AAMCO had to repair the transmission again. I returned that rental on 5/23/2022. Today is 6/28/2022, a month later and the transmission has gone out AGAIN. This, of course will result in me having to go get another rental and be without my truck for a significant amount of time yet again. This is possibly the worst experience I've ever had with any automotive repair company. I would like to be fully refunded for the transmission service in the amount of $2,749.80 and additionally refunded for the $1,158.97 that I was charged for the repair on the catalytic converters that were never a fix for the transmission service.Service: Transmission

I took my car to AAMCO in Douglasville,GA to have my car looked at. The original price I was charged was $350. The day before it was time for me to pick my car up I received a call from John explaining to me that they found another problem and the new price was $651. Once I got to AAMCO to pick my vehicle up, I literally pulled out of the parking lot , made it to the light and my car wouldn't change gears. My car begin to jerk and slow down. I immediately pulled the car back into AAMCO and told John. John's mannerism about the situation was very nonchalant and unbothered. I was very unpleased about the situation. After that day my car stayed there for about a week. The day my car was picked up I realized one of my hub caps were missing as well as my emergency brake cover. Instead of John being more apologetic about the situation , John begin to argue with the situation. He is very unpleasant and shouldn't be in customer service. I will not be returning yo this establishment and I hope you will reconsider your options. The horrible customer service and lack of diligence is beyond annoying. This place is very unprofessional!!! They lost some of my things from my vehicle. When I inquired about the missing things it turned into a situation. I was questioned about if the missing items were in my vehicle to begin with. John was extremely rude to me and provided horrible customer service. Instead of John attempting to resolve the situation he escalated it. John shouldn't be dealing with customer directly. He is rude and not attentive. My car was there for more than a week and I still had problems after I picked up my car.Service: Transmission

Mr John is very unprofessional and hangs up on customers when he gets irritated. I dropped my car off to this place several times and was told it would be ready. Was told two to three days. I have called several times and still excuses was given it is now two weeks car still sitting there. The owner does not return emails. DO NOT USE THIS SHOP. believe the other bad reviews I didn t at first and now my car is not fixed.Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic

This is the WORST place to take your car to, John is very rude and disrespectful. AAMCO has had my car 4 times in the last 3 months with 2 replaced transmissions and my car still has the same problem that I brought it in for. When I asked for complete paperwork on the services and parts ordered I was refused and told that he doesn t not have to provide me with that information after a week of me asking and proceeded to get upset and said he wouldn t give me my keys. $3200 for a transmission with no diagnostic received and after 3 months I was finally given a code & I was told it was a transmission speed sensor. Complete waste of money DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE.Service: Transmission

I can see why this place has terrible reviews, I dropped my vehicle here to be checked payed for services and still needed my vehicle to be towed to my home. Three days I set up for towing and each time he refused to move the vehicle in front of mine and the tow company couldn t tow it away, each time I called and spoke with John he had a nasty attitude and would hang up on me as if it was my fault that the tow company couldn t remove my vehicle. I even gave plenty of heads up to let him know the towing company was on the way and still he refused to make sure my vehicle wasn t blocked for the tow company. I would never recommend anyone take their vehicle to this location. Extremely unprofessional!!

This place has awful communication and customer service! My husband took his car here to it serviced and was told one price at the beginning of the process. We understand things pop up however if a person says they cannot afford something then worked should be stopped until a decision is reached by the customer.. They said the car would be ready that afternoon for the discussed price . Needless to say they kept the car for a few days and have a list of other issues that they would like to address. They never once called with a price on these repairs, and discouraged my husband from sitting up at the shop while they finished the job. We are on a fixed income due to my husband's cancer and could not afford any other repairs at this time. That is ALL we approved being repaired at this time. Anything else should have been discussed! People are not made of money!!! We have been unable to get our daughter to school, and my husband has been unable to get to school due to not having this car. Please research other places or locations.

Customer beware!!! I was quoted one price over the telephone and when I received the final bill the price was astronomically higher without my authorization. I attempted to work this out with the manger of the shop John, but to no avail. He told me that he needed to speak with the owner to resolve my inquiry and would call me back by 5:00PM.Guess what, it's been over 3 weeks and he hasn't called me back. However, I contacted him on several occasions and each time he told me that the owner would call me back to resolve my issue by 5:30PM. Five different calls on five different occasions and no resolution.It has become clear to me that Aamco transmissions does not value it's customers and the customer service has been horrible. Lord forbid if I have an issue with my transmission within the 3yr/36k warranty range. Would they repair the issue or just blow me off?Litigation to resolve this issue seems proper at this time. If I could give a 3rd of a star that would be appropriate.

I had the worst experience at this location. I paid $360.40 for a clutch actuator installment on my vehicle just got my vehicle to still have the same issue. I will be reporting this establishment to the better business bureaus. DO NOT GET SERVICED HERE!!

Please do not take your car or get service there.Mr. John is a rip off. He didn't let me no that my car still didn't have air. He took my $402. dollars and informed me afterwards. That wasn't right and I had to put out more money for a rental to go out of town and lay my sister to.rest. I do believe he should give me back half of my money back. When people is greedy over money and love it. They will not Prosper. IMy car still don't have A C. I.will have my warranty person to contact the Owner. and let him know what he did. Horrible Service , Not Professional and a Rip off

I purchased a 2005 Trailblazer from this place March 2016. The owner was a fair person in the beginning. I mean went out his way to provide excellent customer service!!!! When I purchased this truck it wasnt 3 weeks before the transmission went out!!! But John and the owner said we had a warranty, so they took the truck back to repair it. That took 42 days!!!!! I have 5 kids I needed to get around! John had every excuse in the world on why it was taking so long. They even ordered the wrong transmission once. Finally, after calling a 100 times to get our vehicle back, it was ready. Also, let me add that when I first got the truck they kept saying that the milage was wrong and they just replaced the cluster blah blah blah .. I BELIEVED THEM... First and last mistake! The car was reading 220,000 but they swore it was only 130,000. At the end of the day this truck gave up on me a month ago August 26, 2016. So I'm out 4,000!!! The transmission they put in wasn't any good and the engine was tired!!!! I wouldn't recommend anyone to this place. I'm looking for a new vehicle still!!!!

Terrible customer service! They had no interest in being helpful and basically made us feel unwelcome. I've dealt with other Aamco locations in the past that were more willing to be upfront about pricing and services offered.

This place is very unprofessional, 0/5 stars DO NOT COME HERE!! We called repeatedly about my car after dropping it off and the owners lied and said they were working on it but when we came to see it, it hadn t moved from it s original spot and nothing had changed. They had my car for multiple weeks with zero progress. We had to come collect our car and take it elsewhere. Again, this place is NOT worth the trouble. I took my car here for brakes. I took them somewhere else 6 months ago and had them replaced and a year ago had the rotors replaced. The mechanic, Stan, was very nice and looked at my car right away. They changed my brakes and rotors and I have a guarantee with them as well. Its nice to know that just because I'm a woman doesnt mean I will get ripped off by someone. Stan made sure that my brakes were safe for me and my children. He said that he wouldn't want his wife and kids to drive around with brakes like that and wanted to make sure my car was sage as well. Its nice to know that some people are still there to help you and not just get your money. I will defiantely take my car back there!!

GIVING AMOCO A BAD NAME! This place is the worst! The problem is shop is having starts with the manager. I had a desperate situation and they tripled the price on the parts. Then when I told them I could not afford it, they took the refrigerant charge out of my air conditioning system! I went to another place and had my air conditioning system checked and they said that there was nothing wrong with it but it didn't have refrigerant in it. When I arrived at Amoco my air conditioning was working and when I left it wasn't working.The state of Georgia needs to conduct an investigation into this business and it needs to be shut down!

This is the worst experience I have ever had in any sort of buisness dealings. This shop has had my truck for over 3 weeks with empty promises. I was told that my truck would be ready on February 8th. Never got a call until I called on Monday Feb 11th. I was then told that my car would be ready on Feb 13th. WHen I called on the 13th I was told that my new tranmission was damaged during shipping and that another unit had been ordered and would be there on the 15th, since my transmission was already pulled out of the truck, it would only be a 3 hour job. I call on the 15th and they say my unit was ordered that day and would be in on Monday and My truck would be ready on feb 18th. I called on the 18th and guess what it was going to be ready on Friday the 22nd. I call on the 22nd and they say it will be ready on the 25th. GUess what I call on 25th and they say it will be ready today. I call today at noon, they say the tranmission was being installed and would be ready this evening. Guess what I called back and all of a sudden I need a crank sensor, so they are getting one delivered and will call me when my truck is done. I yet to receive a call from this shop. If I didn't call I would never speak to anybody. I've lost wages and had to rent trucks for 3 weeks. This shop is and embarrasment to the brand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Retracting previous 5 STAR review. Stay FAR FAR away from this place!!! Probably best to stay FAR FAR away from all AAMCO as they operate along the same lines. 2 days after repairs I had the same exact problems. Took it to the dealer and it IS the transmission that is the problem...to the tune of a new transmission need. John, over at AAMCO in douglasville on Fairburn Road, said it was a build up in the throttle system and required a thorough clean out. Trusted him, did exactly that. John insisted that the transmission and change case (they replaced the change case 20 months ago) were in perfect condition. Dealer said the transmission fluid was black and had bits of metal particles in it. I Called John and he claimed to have checked the transmission fluid and that it was dark, but not black and did not contain metal bits. I saw the fluid from my transmission at the dealer and it was black with tiny darker pieces throughout. John never suggested to change the transmission fluid, only to clear out the throttle body with cleaning, a 3 step process. Not at all blaming AAMCO for my problem transmission. But, definitely blaming AAMCO for not correctly diagnosing the problem. The money I paid for the suggested repairs done by AAMCO were unnecessary and could have gone directly towards a new transmission. I blew money for a rental car for 2 days and on unecessary repairs. I thought I found a trustworthy mechanic but I was suckered. But YOU have the opportunity to be smarter. I know the dealer is more expensive, but at least thay will diagnose the problem correctly the first time. With that, you will have the choice to have the dealer, or someone else, make the repairs. And whatever you choose, you will have the right diagnosis to get the problem fixed. Good Luck and stay AWAY from AAMCO!!!

This place I wouldn t Recommend poor customer service from Corporate to the in house. I bought a Alternator last year march 2020 it went out this year in October, I paid over a thousand dollar in parts and labor. I also call Corporate office and Mike P didn t do anything but blame me for this issue. Neve never will I go back to Aamco again and whoever do I feel for you!!!!

Update: contacted their corporate office, needless to say same kind of sorry/no customer service provided! They did not try to solve the problem and acted as if they did not care. Lesson learned - STAY AWAY FROM AAMCO any of them!0 RATING!!!NO STARS! DO NOT take your business to Aamco Transmission on Fairburn Road in Douglasville, GA ever. Worst customer service ever! Paid them $660 on $2122. Due to health issues I decided to sell said vehicle Aamco has refused thus far to refund my money. THEY NEVER FIXED ANYTHING JUST TOOK MY MONEY ILLEGALLY! I will never go back there for anything..under any circumstance! I ended up filing a police report because someone stole something important to me out of my vehicle. My advice ...DON'T DO IT!
