Outstanding work on my Dodge Charger R/T!! Been coming to this shop for years and I am highly pleased with the quality of work and performance improvements done to my Charger. The car runs incredibly smooth especially at over 100 MPH and with the X-Pipe and the other mods my R/T screams. Safe to say my money has been well spent and Mr. Reese, Will and the rest of the MTI crew have done an incredible job and provided the best customer service. I really appreciate the insight and knowledge the shop has given me over the course of my build and throughout the stages I have gone through so I really appreciate them putting me in the right direction. All I can say is dont sleep on MTI they really are an engineering powerhouse. Can t wait to come back for the Whipple Supercharger

Fantastic service, professionalism, and completely customer focused. I used one LS Tuner in the area and they were a flop. I spent just over $18,000 in last 4 years with them. I could not get any problem solutions from them because "they" could not duplicate the problems. MTI, "Will", just asked for the problems. MTI identified the root causes and solved the problems; no duplication actions on my part required. MTI solves the problems. I had them re-tune my very, rare 2009 Pontiac G8 GXP; it is faster, perfectly reliable, screams at 620 hp and no problems!!!!!!

Amazing customer service, work and people! I have been to a few other well known shops in the area and always left those shops disappointed in the service. At MTI, I received multiple updates on my vehicle each week while it was there without asking for it. Always very honest and transparent with what is happening to the car. You can tell MTI works to form a lasting relationship and not try and over sell you to make a few extra dollars. Highly recommended!

Was dealing with an exhaust issue that was throwing a check engine light. Went to the dealership who not only misdiagnosed the issue, but also wanted 3x for their "fix" compared to what the crew at MTI did it for. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly crew, would recommend and will be back for future services.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Will and the MTI "gang" will positively improve your car's performance with superb mechanical knowledge and professionalism. Another "tuner" in Woodstock, Georgia originally put a Magnuson supercharger on my Pontiac G8 GXP. Their follow ups on my problems with the "tune" and performance of the vehicle were less than satisfactory. MTI Racing completely turned those problems into great solutions. Try out MTI Racing before you decide on another "tuner". You won't be disappointed.

I only had them do a small machining job but they did it perfectly and in a very timely manner. I had a steering wheel for an old Ford I wanted repurposed for my bmw 2002. I would highly recommend them!

Very cool place. Tons of proformance parts for your Vette. My son purchased a Six Shooter for my C5 Z06. Easy install & Great shifting characteristics. I love mine. They also do proformance upgrades as well as field basically from what I understand to be a 6 Corvette race team.. How cool is that!

This company is not professional at all. They keep your vehicle for weeks at a time then call and say your price is more than what they stated in the beginning. They have had the law called on them plenty of times from customers. They said that we couldn t pay with a credit card after paying plenty of times with one. Made us get cash and after paying with cash refused to give us our change. I would never bring a vehicle here ever again and I highly recommend no one to do business with this company.

Stay clear from this shop. The quoted me a 2 week turnaround then had my car for a month and a half. My car has been sitting for a month just waiting to be tuned. The constantly say they will call to give updates but never do. When you email, call or text them on instagram for updates either they dont respond or respond with an attitude. Continue to make excuses on why your car isn t ready. First it was Reese (the owner/tuner) car kids got in a wreck (don t get me wrong family comes first) but he took the whole week off. The following week he magically gets sick and takes the whole week off. Its just excuse after excuse on why the work isn t getting done. Went up to the shop multiple times to figure out what s going on and the car was sitting in the same spot every time untouched.Came to pick up my car and they expect you to pay for work that they didnt complete. Didn t want to give me the specs to the cam that I PAID FOR. Put my car at a different shop they fixed what MTI messed up and tuned the car. Had the car back to me within 2 days.

Over the last 10 or so years MTI built my c5 corvette, c6 corvette, and now my 2021 hellcat. I can say that their Dodge work met all my expectations based on the work they had done to my corvettes in the past. I started with their hellcat stage 1 package and custom exhaust. Now I get to bully all the corvettes and hellcats! Only performance shop I go to.

I had a quick question about my 5.7 Charger. They were super knowledgeable and I was most impressed by their enthusiasm. They don t upsell and they will cater to your needs no matter your budget. Their work speaks for itself.

Great service and people! They ported my ls1 throttle body, and did a stellar job. Extremely fast turn around. Will definitely use them again.

I had two totally different experiences with MTI. The rear diff swap went well and was priced fair. The tuning however required a follow up visit as the car would not shift into 3rd during full throttle. Then a year later a found out my computer was locked and had to purchase another computer and have programmed as I did not feel comfortable returning for another tune after I had a cam install performed at another shop. I do not recommend at this time. I will update if things change.

Very disappointed with this company. They dropped the ball on giving proper documentation and pricing. This company kept my son's car for almost 2 weeks then called and changed the price by a $1,000 then had the nerve to call the next day and bump it up another $6,000. When told not to do the work which had never been started all of a sudden they won t give back the deposit. No documentation was given and it was not stated on the website about no returns on deposits. What a joke! The Better Business is investigating but they are too scared to respond. Very poor business ethics!!

MTI has done many upgrades to my 2006 Base Corvette. Suspension upgrades, several engine upgrades, and regular maintenance. The latest two upgrades, ported and polished cylinder heads with larger and stronger valves, FAST Intake Manifold with LS3 fuel rails, added 55 horsepower. Every upgrade has been a significant improvement. They are busy, so it may take a week or two, or three, to get to you, but they always do great work. Sometimes they get backed up, so you have to be patient. But your patience will pay off. Their new location up in Dawsonville is fantastic, with their own engine building shop, and a terrific CNC machining facility. Their engine dyno in Dawsonville is amazing, and Reese, and his guys, really know how to get the most, safely, out of your car and any upgrades you may do.Highly recommend ! But you have to be patient. They seem to always have 6 to 12 cars their working on.Services: Exhaust, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Wheel alignment, Transmission repair, Brakes, Air conditioning

Absolutely awful customer service experience. The only person who knows what is going on is Reese, and he is nearly impossible to get a hold of. The point of contact at the front desk is a poor communicator (to put it very nicely), and I was not updated throughout my repair process. I had to reach out first for updates.I went in with one problem and left with the same problem as well as a bunch of throttle body codes and a car that does not always start and goes into limp home mode. Even if I was offered a free repair, I would turn it down as I would much rather pay a shop I trust than to ever let MTI near my car again. It is also worth noting that MTI spoke very negatively about other shops starting with my first phone call with them. Save the trouble - take your car elsewhere. There are plenty of competent LS guys in ATL that know how to actually run a shop.

I had a lot of work to my C6Z done at MTI. I always appreciated MTI's extra insight and attention to detail for road racing applications (track day guy). Additionally, all of the in-house developed and manufactured products from MTI were top notch quality. It's rare to find companies that invest heavily in R&D but MTI does. If you want to go fast but also be able to turn and stop MTI is your place!

Dear future customers,Save your time and run from this company! MTI racing will say they will do your car for a certain price and then they keep the car "two weeks" supposedly to start the work. Then we get a phone call basically saying "We need almost 6,000 MORE DOLLARS after they were saying they will perform the work for that price. This is a very unprofessional company to work with because once you want to talk to a representative they will hang up the phone on you. I hope future customers read these reviews so they don't get in the same situation we are in. This company needs to learn how to do business the right way and act like adults instead of a bunch of children asking for more money. If this company cares about their customers they will return this money and conduct business the correct way. Again, please do not do business with this company unless you want your car gone for a month and lose all of your money. One more thing I want google to update their program so there is an option for no stars!!

Excellent work and service by Reese and his team at MTI. Reese has been working on my C5 for almost 15 years doing Performance Upgrades, Maintenance and Repair. Most recent work included long tube headers, high flow cats, MSD Atomic air force intake with ported throttle body and dyno tune and a number of other improvements and maintenance items. This car now screams! And I can't describe how great the handling is with the Big Red Sway bars he installed last year. When I bought this C5 new, I intended to keep it forever. It runs better than the day it was new. Reese and team is the only shop I let touch my C5. My next daily driver will also have a LS engine in it because of MTI, and it will go to Reese also. Thanks MTI!

Best shop in metro Atlanta for racing upgrades to your Corvette! I had MTI complete stage one upgrade on my C-5 Corvette and it was well worth it. Will be having them complete additional work! Their shop is one of a kind, the fabricating and custom parts designed at MTI Really something to see. Ask for a tour!

Shout out here for MTI's customer service. I called over 2 years after buying one of their seat rail kits with a question about mounting it. Nick was immediately helpful, and sent me some replacement parts free of charge. And this is after two years! Very grateful for the easy, friendly, customer service experience. Thanks guys!

Took my 2019 Dodge Charger to get some engine work done to it. They did a good job putting the cam in and all but didn t tune it right. I took their three times to adjust the tune and still had problems with it.

Stay clear of this shop. The business practices are shiesty, the work isn't quality, they don't take ownership of their mistakes, they overcharge, they change the price once the vehicle is completed. Will the so called GM is very unprofessional. Everyone please stay away.

Horrible customer service. They put a slave cylinder in my car and ever seance they touched my vehicle I've had nothing but hydrolic issues. I went back to them to get them to fix it and the told me it was my transmission. I got exactly 1,500 miles out of my slave cylinder before I had to replace it after paying them. I had another mechanic look at it and he said it was leaking all down the bell housing . MTI said to me after complaining about it the third time it was probably my master cylinder. I personally have had the worse customer service out of them I've ever seen.

I've had my ZL1 1LE back to MTI a number of times, as its transformer has evolved. Reese has quite the background in Motorsports and he really is a qualified race engineer. Knows most every detail to build this generation of cars to the utmost. All the guys are very attentive and the passion for delivering top performing cars is very clear.

If I could leave a 0 star I would have. The easier answer is what was done right vs. what was done wrong. On top of his terrible work, not standing behind his work, and trying to sneak in extra charges on a large build, Reese is quite the liar. I knew the work that had been done to my car was bad, but I did not realize how bad it was until I took it to a more reputable shop in the area for a redo because it was tuned so poorly (BTW, Reece's locked tunes are not locked because they such a great trade secret, they are locked to prevent others from seeing how bad they are). At that point MTI was lucky I did not hire a lawyer as an entire laundry list of problems were found, but since I was an out of state customer I would have had to hire a lawyer in GA that I did not know. My advice to anyone still wanting to have work done here - Record all your phone conversations, get all of your estimates itemized with GOOD descriptions of the parts they are using, ask for invoices from when/where they got your parts to avoid cheap substitutions, and get a signed copy of the parts that come off the car you ask to keep otherwise they will claim them for theirs to re-sell or throw away. I learned my lesson the hard way, and hopefully this will keep someone else from making that same mistake.

My 2013 Corvette ZR1 was tuned by a couple other speed shops, the first shop did something to the tune that made the car buck hard, the second shop in Houston tried to tune it twice and never fixed the problem (first shop never called me back). Someone at the Barber Motorsports track recommended Reese Cox from MTI Racing in Atlanta so I googled Reese s name and his race history was very impressive which included crew chief for a couple of race teams. He didn t want to take my car at first because others had stumbled through the tune. I totally understand how a shop can get married to a project after the vehicle has had poor workmanship from other shops. After Reese and I talked he agreed to take the vehicle, which I m glad he did. Reese recommended I replace the computer before bringing it to him in case the previous tunes corrupted the data. MTI Racing stays very busy (which says something for their work), and when he did evaluate my car, he recommended a few things before starting the tune, which I agreed. Like plugs, wires, etc It took a few days on the dyno but he systematically worked out the problem, and got about 85 more horsepower from the tune than the others. No more tune problems and the car runs strong. Since then, I had Reese Cox install a methanol kit to help with cooling. The work they do is very professional and had no problems with any of their installs. For tune and race applications, Reese Cox is the real deal. Very knowledgeable (should be, his job as crew chief is to make cars go fast and last). When you call MTI Racing, Nick will answer the phone. If you want more informative answers, you must talk to Reese Cox. He s busy, but he is worth the wait.

Ordered parts for my husbands c5 corvette for a Christmas present. They were really helpful on Facebook with pointing me in the right direction as to what I should get. (I don't know much about cars) We recently got them installed and he is very happy. Thank you so much!

Where do I start? Communication has been poor, in their defense the service writer that took my vehicle in was no longer there when it was handed back but I'm waiting over a week for a call back after multiple inquiries for Reese to resolve issues with an ECU tune. I have a tuners nightmare with a donor engine in a completely different chassis, however they assured me they could handle ANY LS platform and were willing to take the job on. It took a few days for them to even start programming/tuning as they were not equipped for this particular ECU. Once that hurdle was crossed they assured me it had been ran on a dyno and provided test sheets. I had dropped the vehicle off with Check Engine Lights and in Limp mode (30% power) and had a horrible misfire on a 2007 LS2 with 57k miles. I requested trouble shooting and then replacement of tune up items (plugs, wires and even coils if necessary) for a baseline before dyno tuning. I was told they got it running properly and no need to waste any money at this time on tune up items. I picked the vehicle up and not even 100' from their parking lot it was running identical to when I dropped it off,....exceptionally poor, almost dangerous to drive in traffic. They shook their heads, took it back in and had it for over 10 days. They told me it must be a wiring issue. I take it back in my possession (no refund of $1450 for tuning/trouble shooting) and trouble shoot the MAP sensor they claim isn't working properly. Within 20 minutes I verify that the MAP sensor and wiring harness is indeed working correctly. I then discover 2 of the spark plug wires aren't even connected with one completely dangling off of the block. How the hell do you dyno tune a V8 with 6 cylinders running??? I then discover that while the horrible misfire is now resolved, the engine is still operating in LIMP mode with only 30% power and less than 4k RPMs,...this is a tuning issue and the majority of the reason the vehicle was brought to MTIRacing was to set the ECU up for the new configuration. I have managed to trick the ECU into releasing LIMP mode, but must do so every time I operate the vehicle. I've had calls into Reese via his office since last Thursday, it's now Wednesday and no return calls with my last call being yesterday/Tuesday. I understand this isn't a run of the mill every day procedure and there is a learning curve, however charging me $1450 and walking away when the job isn't done is not acceptable let alone the competency in question with such an easy diagnosis by a non-professional hobby tuner,....me who happens to run a successful motorcycle service business for 15 years.
