The people that work here are horrible & I mean HORRIBLE. I m beyond confused how any of these men acquired a mechanical license. By far the worst in town & not the best like they claim. Do not bring your car in for any service, not even an oil change because you will be robbed!! I would give this business 0 stars if I could. Very disappointed.

These guys are amazing. They fixed my transmission. It messed up again they fixed it and something else happened and they took care of it. I highly recommend these guys. Very reasonable pricing. Thank you for helping me out.

I give three stars because I understand people are busy and there are other vehicles to be fixed and my vehicle is weird and is difficult to find parts for, however it's been in there for months with no updates. Just that they haven't even started on fixing it yet. The vehicle belonged to my grandfather who was a veteran before he died due to complications of a disability he got from being in the military, and the truck was passed down to me. It's the only piece of him I have and it's been in the shop for almost a year. In May it will be a year.

At first look, the place looks like a hole in the wall and I was hesitant. They do good work, and are fast. They took my transmission out, rebuilt and put it back in, in just under two days. They called me with a quote before they did the work. Quote was reasonable.I will recommend them to my friends

October 23, 2015, I took my vehicle to a transmission shop that I was told "was the best n the area."After much patience, four weeks later, and $2,700, I received it back with a one-year warranty.January 19, 2016, less than 2,950 babied miles later (read: zero off-road use), and within 30 yards of the first breakdown, the transmission went out a second time. Being under warranty, back to the shop it went. When I called for an update three weeks ago, the owner told me the parts had been ordered and would be in on Monday. The next three times I called, no one bothered to return my call. One week ago (four weeks in), while talking to a worker rather than the owner, I found that my vehicle was to be put on the rack that Monday to find out what was wrong...(I thought the parts were already ordered?). He assured me it should be complete Tuesday - Wednesday at the latest.Today, Friday, almost five weeks later, I was able to take it home.I don't know about most of you, but I don't have four-to-five weeks at a time that I can be without a vehicle.I really like this vehicle, but this entire ordeal has made me skeptical of its reliability, or how long their work will hold up before I have to spend this amount of time without a way of going again. If you find yourself in need of a transmission repair in the near future, please think twice before calling on Transmissions Unlimited.

I was having problems with my transmission(Nissan Pathfinder) my uncle, who knows a lot about cars, told me to go see them; great service!, Honest and clear with quality work, the owner has helped me a couple of times with different small issues in my car. Never a bad experience, everyone is very nice, I always recommend them!!!

I also got hooked by the "Best In Town" crap. I took my truck in for repair just before Memorial day in 2016. After talking with the owner I was instructed to bring the truck to the shop and park it in the lot on the evening of Memorial day, they were to do the repairs the next day. After not hearing from them by Tuesday afternoon I called them Wednesday afternoon. It was then that the owner asked where is the truck? I replied that it was where he told me to park it with the keys where he said to put them. I had initially told him that I absolutely had to have it back by the Friday following Memorial day due to family plans for that weekend. He said they would get started immediately. I called the next day, Thursday, around 1:00 and was told they were just getting started! I told them I had to have the truck the next morning. They called me at 5:00 and said the truck was ready, by the time I got there at 6:00 they had locked the gate with my truck inside. My families weekend was ruined. To top it all off, he didn't do any of the repairs that we had discussed, he only replaced a part that partially fixed the problem. For $500. Now several months later my transmission leaks oil profusely and shifts erratically. I refuse to ever take my vehicle back there and warn others to find another shop. This guy is a thief.

Horrible service !! Extremely rude!! My dad took my truck to get fixed here and the one time I went with him to check up on it (keep in mind it had already been over a month) they made a rude comment about me going with him ?? Totally unnecessary! Took way to long and they wouldn t even call to give updates. When we would call they would only say it wasn t ready yet and that s all the information they could give about it!

Total scam artist- will not fix your car correctly or timely.Had to sue them and they still don't pay their bills. I am not even sure it's an accredited business at all. I would recommend that you stay far away from this place.

To the three reviews that are negative, here is what really happened to these customers... Plumley had a 98 Dodge 1500, needing a gov pressure solenoid and transducer, that's what they wanted us to do, and when we called "him" to come pick up his truck, he said I will be there in ten minutes. 45 minutes later and an hour after closing time I decided that my family plans where falling apart so I closed the gate to go home.. Monday morning they show up mad about it.. also the cost they mention is much higher than they actually paid... Two electrical parts on a vehicle with well over 200,000 miles= no warranty.. you want cheap and fast instead of good...Mr Gribble, very nice gentleman and I remember his Jeep, initially broke the planetary set which put a ton of metal through his transmission, after the rebuild all seemed to be fine but a few months later he drove it back in with a similar noise as before and we had to do the repairs again of course for free per the warranty.. as far as the time goes, we are a very busy shop and are limited on space, time, and personnel.. our apologies for how long it takes sometimes to rebuild half your drivetrain along with the others that are also here getting repairs.. price mentioned is also more than the actual..Mrs Long had a PT cruiser sent to us stuck in fail safe mode and would not communicate with any scanner we tried (4)( bad computer). The vehicle had a limited production run for the computer for the year it was and locating a replacement computer was a very timely. Also, it has to be programmed (flashed) to operate in the new vehicle but still retains some of its original factory numbers. It took weeks to locate said computer. In the meantime, we received multiple calls from Mrs Long demanding that the owner return her calls, yelling at us over the phone and just being very rude (in my opinion). When her car was finally finished, and picked up on a Friday, we come in on Monday and receive a lawsuit for four times what the repairs cost which is also more than the vehicle was worth considering it's condition and the amount of beer bottle caps all over the inside. Maybe they collect them, I don't know.
