I was I produced to TatesAuto! And spoken to the heads man, Mike. He was very professional! I brought my car to him..He was very informitive!! And was done with my car in a day in a half! I highly recommend anyone to let Tates Auto service their vehicle! You want be disappointed!

My family and I have had our cars serviced at Tate s several times. They have fixed my power steering pump and general maintenance. I recently went to them for a brake check since they had recently been replaced elsewhere and were grinding. They cleaned them off as best as they could and did not recommend other work as anyone else would have. Thanks Mark!For my grandmother, she came in after having her car checked at the Nissan dealership with a quote of nearly 6k for a transmission replacement. After having the vehicle checked at Tate s, they resolved the issue with a replacement of a bearing or something of the sort. She ended up paying a couple hundred instead. She was very happy with the service she received and her car is running perfectly.

Only gas station I could find with all three grades 87, 89, 93 with no ethanol I even done a test with my test kit and I confirmed that they are selling non ethanol fuel, perfect for classic cars two cycle engines or anything that sits for a long time.

Tate's quality real gasoline has been my go-to for years. My aging car runs the best on their no ethanol regular. The tire pressure light came on last week, so I pulled up to the Full Service pump.The excitement and smiles from the employees seeing me at the full instead of self-serve was heartwarming. I am always well taken care of at Tate's.

Great place for all your automotive repairs and service. They also have ethanol free gas, which may cost you more, but you will get better milage, plus your engine will run cleaner. I am a believer in ethanol free gas.

Me and my family had broken down on the way back from vacation. Call first thing in the morning talk to a gentleman named Donnie. He got us in right away and had our vehicle back on the road within a few hours. Everyone I spoke with was very helpful very friendly and even gave me a ride to and from my hotel to drop off and pick up my vehicle. Cannot have a nice enough nice things to say about this place! Thank you to everyone at Tate's Automotive and God bless

I cannot say enough great things about Tate's staff. I deal mostly with Donnie and he always thoroughly explains what is going on with my vehicle and answers my many questions. They are also super fair on price and very prompt in repairs. When moving to a new town, it is hard to find new places you trust and I am glad I found Tate's to be the place I can take my vehicle knowing I'm going to have great work done at a fair price!Services: Electrical repair, Auto engine diagnostic, Brake service & repair, Oil change

I am here temporarily for work. My truck s condenser went out and had to be dye tested and replaced. They fit me up to their busy week and were able to get me back on the road in only 2 days. They also kept me updated during the process. The price was EXTREMELY fair. I 110% recommend Tate s!Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

Amazing experience. Car started having trouble and broke down on our way to Atlanta. Bob s tow truck service suggested these guys but said it may be couple weeks before they could fix it as they are usually backed up. Gave Tate s a call and updated them on the issues - they said they d be happy to take a look and if it seemed like a quick fix they d get to it as soon as we got there. That s exactly what they did. Switched out our old radiator and took the car for a quick spin to ensure that was the issue. We were back on the road shortly after. Everyone was very kind and pleasant. Trustworthy and 10/10 would recommend to others.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Star was pretty busy but the customer service was great even though they couldn't get my headlight bulbs installed yesterday or today. They told me to try again tomorrow.

I highly recommend these guys (Richard!!!) My daughter and I were in downtown Dalton yesterday when my car battery died. A lady suggested that I call Tates Automotive, and I m so glad I did!!!! They were located right around the corner from where my car was parked. Richard came to where my car was, brought the new battery I bought from them (on which I got a great deal), and I was up and running within 15 minutes!!!! I cannot thank Richard enough. Richard s kind, caring and compassionate gesture represented what customer service should always be - no matter where you do business. Thanks to him, my young daughter and I weren't stuck in downtown Dalton after dark. THANK YOU!!!!!!Service: Battery

If you are 'from away' and need an honest car repair company, do not hesitate to call or visit Tate's. The owner Donnie and his manager Doug were most helpful and knowledgeable---and genuinely nice, too. The mechanics and other staff were great. Diagnosis was quick and accurate without overcharging. What more could you ask for? We are thankful to have met them and know on our next visit to Dalton we will consider them our friendly 'go-to' station and repair shop. Convenient to downtown. Thank you so much!

Friendly and accommodating staff. They were the only Auto repair shop that accepted my vehicle to be repaired. Everywhere else I was told is backed up till September-October. Thank you so much for accepting my business.

I have always had a good experience at Tates! Best place I know to take your vehicle. You can trust Donnie to yell you the truth. They won't do unnecessary repairs! I recommend them to everybody.

Tate's provides courteous, reasonably priced services on a prompt basis. They are respectful to their customers and explain why and what they do.The most outstanding feature is their willingness to tell you what you DON'T need. There have been instances where they could have easily convinced me to buy something I really didn't need, but I really wouldn't know the difference. Tate's is one of the last of the really honest businesses left in the auto repair category.

My 77 year old mom who has and old 90s dodge van has been having A/C problems. Been ongoing she keeps getting stuff fixed but then it works for a few days. She went to TATES because she was told by a lady on MONDAY to bring it FRIDAY and they will drive it and see what's wrong. She goes in on Friday 10am. Everyone was clueless. She asked for Donnie, explained everything and he says "we don't have time to drive up and down the interstate".First of all you shouldn't have to get on the interstate, 2nd of all she disabled and driving around with no A/C. Her granddaughter is getting married in a few weeks in SC and if it's not fixed she won't go. Nice way to treat elderly, disabled people DONNY. and she only gets $876. From SS every month.NICE JOB.

These guys are top notch. Had an emergency water pump replacement done after my engine overheated while on a road trip. Chris was so helpful and was able to squeeze me in first thing in the morning after I broke down on the interstate the night before. I was traveling theough Dalton and ran into an automotive issue, I googled 'Auto Mechanic near me' and found Tate's. Open before others and glowing reviews, I chose them. Very honest place, quick and courteous. They were more than fair on price as well. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

These guys are on point. I was searchin for a spot to handle a repair on my car and discovered this shop. They were both professional and friendly. And affordable. They live up to their 5 star rating. I will definitely use them again, if needed. Thanks.

Great service. Friendly, professional, and honest. I wouldn't necessarily say I'll use them again bc I was traveling out of town for work BUT if you're in the Dalton area, I'd recommend

I have been using Tate's Automotive since I moved to Dalton 28 years ago. Donnie and Doug have always provided great service, and even though maintaining an automobile can be expensive, I feel like their prices have been very competitive.

Eric was extremely helpful. My daughters car broke down and we live out of state and thankfully found Tates Automotive in Dalton, Ga. Great job and most of all, honest.

All 3 grades of gas are ethanol free. Pump first then pay; people are friendly and mechanics are wonderful on car repairs.
