Absolutely love this shop! The owners are the salt of the earth. Susan is wonderful. She keeps you updated with your vehicle. And Joe explains what is going on with your vehicle. They do what they say and they say what they mean. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I wouldn't take my truck anywhere else.

Greetings to you all. I feel that it is important to let reputable companies know that their company does a great job with upholding integrity and outstanding customer service with its customers. The staff over at TBJ are awesome and deserve to be recognized for this. I appreciate your honesty and value you expertise in what you all do. Sometimes the price can get ugly, but you alls attitudes and knowledge as well as guarantee makes it worth doing business with you all. Thanks for such a great experience. I must say you have earned my business 100%_ the white mustang!!!! Oh and you keep responding to these reviews the truth must be heard!!! Have a great day!!!!

We had our transmission rebuild done here in October (Buick Lacrosse) Despite all of the issues with getting parts (thank you UAW) they were super honest, kind, and very thorough. The price was wayyyy less than the dealer as well. Sarah was lovely to deal with in answering our questions. Do not hesitate to take your car here.

Already had it diagnosed by another mechanic shop but the price here was cheaper but my car Had MORE issues once I brought it here I wouldn t recommend this place to anyone. This place will stress you out and your car will come back with a LIST of issues go somewhere else.

I shopped and called around for literally 3 months to find a reputable shop to rebuild my transmission. It is becoming rare to find quality skilled and honest mechanical specialists. Joe and his team have taken care of my 59 Fairlane and she is rocking!!! Don t think twice about leveraging Joe and his team. I drove a little over an hour to get to his shop and I have no regrets. Thanks again Joe and team!!!

I went to Joe's after 3 mobile mechanics FAILED to properly repair my wife's BMW. First when you tell people you own a BMW it's like a boat:" Breakout another thousand " or we are unable to work on it (Thank you Aamaco). Anyway, Joe not only did the job correctly he did it at 1/3 the cost and gave me a military discount. Anyone that says Joe and Sue over charge should get their head examined! In my opinion Joe should be Canonized! Thank You Joe, Sue,and Sarah and especially the rest of the guys who worked on my car. I know it wasn't much but I hope you enjoyed lunch on me. May the Lord watch over you ALL and protect you.

This shop was recommended by my mechanic for transmission issues. Dropped off with shop with light on and in limp home mode. Joe looked at it did what he could, moved something and it works. Recommended I take it to dealership for CAN bus network diagnostic. Once the issue comes back I will but this shop was great. Definitely come back if I have transmission issues.Service: Transmission

Took my daughter's car there because her check engine light was on and the code was coming back as a transmission issue. Transmissions By Joe located the issue and fixed it as quickly as they could. Price was excellent and I will definitely be using them from now on. They are close, quick, very professional and easy on my wallet.

What nice people to work with. They repaired our older vehicle and did it professionally. Although the fix was pricey, we understood because they had to drop the transmission to get to the parts that needed to be fixed. Susan was so kind and really has compassion for we "older" folks. All in all, they've certainly earned our trust and when it comes to car repairs, that's hard to do. I'd recommend them to anyone. They are a full service auto repair, not just transmissions.

I took my truck to Joe s and they moved it from parking place to place in back of his shop for 3 months or more. Finally got it back and it is not repaired it still does same as it did when I took it up there I now need someone that can do what I want in a timely manner. I have taken multiple cars to Joe and he has always been more than honest with me. I will continue to take my vehicles to his shop because it is very hard to find a shop that DOES NOT try to take advantage of you. If he says something needs repaired, he will show you the damaged part prior to repair if you ask him.

I will do my best to make a long story short. My a/c went out on my Mazda tribute and Jim Ellis WAS going to charge me $1800.00 saying I needed a new compressor and other things to make it right. I figured I should check around before making that decision. Lo and behold my transmission went out a couple of weeks later. After checking around I found Transmissions By Joe here in Dallas Ga. My transmission shifts perfect and better than before, honestly. My extended warranty paid for the repair and Mr. Joe found and fixed my a/c problem. Only had a valve leaking. Part, labor & freon, $50.00. Mr. Joe saved me $1750.00 that Jim Ellis Mazda was gonna rip me off. Any work that I need from now on will be done by Transmissions By Joe.

Joe replaced my transmission on my 2008 Mercury Mountaineer, originally i chose them based on price and reviews. However after dealing with them I have found that they are business that stands behind there work 150% and go above and beyond to make it right. Joe and Suzan are good people and i highly recommend them, but not just for transmission work, they do it all.

Wonderful service and the staff are knowledgeable. I initially chose this business because of the great reviews and the fact that it is local. I thought my transmission was going out since it seemed to be slipping gears when downshifting; however it turned out to be an issue with low fluid level. After having the transmission serviced there the car has been running beautifully since. The bonus that has won over my future business was that they identified what was causing a sloshing sound behind my dashboard that has occurred every fall/winter since I bought the car new from the dealer. After re-pressuring my cooling system I haven't heard anything since. Great experience there all around.

I had two of my vehicles worked on by them, one was for transmission work that surpassed my expectations on my Ford Truck and the other was a service done on my Scion XB, which was done with expertise, care and courteouness to me as a customer. Received my car back each time in minimal time and affordable cost and have not had a problem since.He is always truthful and polite when explaining what needs to done and to make it all right. I would recommend them to anyone, because I trust them.

I had a very unexpected leak without warning. After looking at my SUV Joe found a pin hole leak in my transmission line. Needless to say he fixed the problem for a very reasonable price.

Great business!! I was in a position where I could have really been taken advantage of with a bad transmission. Joe and his crew went above and beyond to take care of me and my vehicle. Don t go here! I took a car to this shop a couple years ago that was shuttering on downshifts. They told me I had coolant in my transmission and wanted to charge me to rebuild the transmission and replace the entire cooling system. I said give me my keys and went to a mechanic I trust who found out there was nothing more wrong with the car than needing new motor mounts. Crooks, like almost every transmission shop. Could be a $100 fix and they ll try to charge you thousands.

I just called to get an idea of what I needed for my transmission, Joe took the time to explain to me what he would like to see on my old trans and where it failed. He explained a common issue with my transmission type. All of this without the promise of me becoming a customer. Because of Joe taking time out of his day I will be bringing all my transmission business to him.
