We had the BEST time at The Mountain Top Lodge! The staff was wonderful and extremely accommodating. My entire family and wedding party stayed at the lodge for our wedding nearby and we had the rehearsal dinner at the lodge. Everyone had an amazing time throughout the weekend. Their coffee and food was delightful. We will be back for our anniversaries!

This is actually on a mountain top that is for ever expanding. The rooms are very nice but what sets this apart from the rest, Customer service, Elle and Bella These two are above a 10 on any scale and ensure to interact and be part of what your part of of Great place to stay and relax,Rooms: Rustic and the owl photo on the wall, gotta have that, lol,Nearby activities: Wine and wine and wine, great place to stay for wine tasting events and weddingsFood & drinks: The espresso is the best around,

We cannot say enough great things about this gem. It exceeded expectations! The decor and attention to detail is bar none - the art, canses, chairs, throws, etc. The bar served smokin cocktails (pun intended) and the breakfast was beyond delicious and generous. We enjoyed sitting in the living/public spaces indoors and outdoors alike. Lots of nooks to have private chats, while enjoying the quaint and warm ambiance. Beautiful views with trees all around. Easy to get to. The staff was uber attentive and hospitable. Ideal for a couple getting away or planning a group of friends to stay for a weekend. I can t wait to return!

The staff were all top notch from the girls at check in to the chef to the owners and everyone else we met. Super friendly and helpful with recommendations and anything else we needed.This place is literally on top of the mountain so there are no bad views. It is less than 10 minutes from 52 West Brewery and downtown Dahlonega so the location couldn't be better! The common room with "Bertha" the coffee machine that makes anything and everything coffee and quiet reading areas (with books to choose from) is awesome for a mental break from electronics and social media and anything else cluttering the mind.The rooms are all well decorated with thought and are cozy. The bed in The Wild Life was super comfy.The breakfast was freshly made each morning so it was 10X better than anything you'll get at a hotel breakfast.We got to experience a first hand taste of the restaurant soon to come and to say the food was amazing is an understatement! The chef and his assistant they have on staff are really good at the creative cooking thing haha.Overall, this place is a 10 out of 10 perfect getaway for any reason you're looking to getaway.We will be back and if you're debating, go, you wont be disappointed!

Found this on a whim and after reading the reviews booked it a few days before we visited. An amazing place for sure - location is perfect- close to town and also close to trails that you don t want to miss! The breakfast was hands down one of the best I ve had. We dined with a few other patrons and met some nice couples over the charcuterie and wine hour. Such nice touches have been added and the little details make this place a rare find. We will definitely come back in the fall to see the leaves change! All the rooms are nice but many were open when we arrived so we got to tour them all and change our selection. The staff are all kind and very attentive and personable.Rooms: Very clean and cozy. I just stayed at The Mountain Top Lodge for a Business Retreat. The lodging and detail in the furniture and cleanliness is impeccable. Our meals were unique and delicious from gravy and biscuits to Brussel sprouts and rib eye - fantastic! The staff however truly stole the show! Ally is the absolute BEST! I highly recommend you check this incredible place out for your next get away, retreat or escape. Thank you Tommy and Heather Breedlove for your hospitality!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at The Mountain Top Lodge! Looking for a long weekend getaway, I initially looked at Airbnb s, but Airbnb is alienating themselves with their exorbitant fees. Okay, time to pivot, I thought. After a little Googling, I find this place! Without much preparation, I decided to bite the bullet and book our stay. We stayed in room 10 (The Wild Life). Everything about our room was relaxing and everything we were looking for. From the fireplace, comfortable bed, modern yet rustic feel, and beautiful views, our room was amazing.The lodge itself was also great. The decor and furniture were inviting and cozy. The staff were extremely friendly and responsive. Both breakfasts during our stay were PHENOMENAL! You don t get that with an Airbnb.Overall, this place has everything. It feels remote yet it s only a few minutes from town. The living spaces are clean and very comfortable. The service is excellent. The food is scrumptious. I would highly recommend booking your next getaway the The Mountain Top Lodge. My wife and I plan to stay here again next time we re looking to get away.

One week ago today, (November 11, 2023) The Mountain Top Lodge hosted our granddaughter s wedding. Heather, Sean, and the entire staff made her wedding a magical occasion that will always be remembered! It was a beautiful setting, wonderful accommodations, and incredible food! What a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our room with vaulted ceilings, beams, a fireplace and wonderful balcony view overlooking the forest, it was such a relaxing, peaceful place to spend a weekend. The service was warm & hospitable - loved wine down hour and our great conversations with the hosts, breakfasts were the best we had the entire 10 days trip in Georgia. We ll be back!

Wow! This place really outdid itself. We came for one night as we were attending a wedding nearby at the Vezalay. Everything was superior from check in to check out. The lodge itself was recently renovated and is premium quality throughout: fresh baked cookies, wine and charcuterie upon arrival coupled with the most hospitable hosts made us feel so welcome! We stayed in the New Dawn room (the one with a balcony on the first floor) and the bed was exceptionally comfortable! In the morning, we enjoyed a most delicious breakfast that left us feeling full, happy, and grateful to have found this gem of a spot. Very romantic, clean, and trendy decor was a surprising treat for a lodge located seemingly in the middle of nowhere. We would certainly return and recommend to all of our friends anytime we re in the area again! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

From reserving my room, to checking in, to even taking me to the AT trail head I wanted to go this place was awesome! Ally and Sean made you feel special and were so kind. Everything was so clean, neat and orderly. You could tell the owners take pride in every detail. I will definitely be coming back just to stay before I go on my next leg of the AT!

Had a wonderful time at the Mountain Top Lodge. The Oh Deer room was beautiful, it's great to be in the middle of the woods and still have all the comforts.We loved all the details that made our staying special: the hot chocolate bar, the daily homemade chocolate in the post box, the welcoming charcuterie, the tailor made breakfast.You can feel they put a lot of thoughts and love into designing the best experience for the guests.We will be back!

Everyone here is extremely nice and accommodating!! We had rented an electric car and we're having trouble charging it up indahlonega, but the staff went above and beyond to make sure I could get a charge! They provided me with an extension cord and also moved the company car so that I could get closer to an outlet, all at around 8pm when we had a late check in.The lodge itself is also very beautiful and clean, and I would highly recommend this place as I would come back in a heartbeat!

My wife and I had an amazing weekend at The Mountain Top Lodge. We went to Dahlonaga to celebrate our wedding anniversary. From the first minute we arrived it was nothing but 1st class service. The lodge is relaxing but refined, classy but cozy. Ally and Amanda were awesome and attentive and gave us some great suggestions on activities in the area. We did some hiking and visted several local wineries. This will be a new tradition for us every year. Cant wait to go back.

We were so lucky to find Mountain Top Lodge! My husband and I planned our wedding over two months we knew we wanted soothing small (20 people) and looked everywhere for a place to host our post-wedding dinner with family. We finally found Mountain Top, and they were the perfect place for our event. We and all of our guests stayed at the lodge, and we hosted the dinner in their downstairs dining space. They provided the table chairs and full set up and even decorated the tables with lovely candles! We also were able to do a drink package for our guests as well. Unfortunately, their kitchen at the time was not ready to be used for dinner service �but they allowed us to bring in our own caterer, and they went out of their way to work with our caterer and ensure everything was set up beautifully. All of our guests loved the lodge; it was truly the perfect place for our guests to stay and hang out and was a perfect space for a 20-person private dinner! Everyone at the lodge was friendly and helpful, and they went out of their way to make our few days they're absolutely perfect. Sean, the GM of the lodge, was so responsive �even during the busy holiday season �and was just a joy to work with. He went above and beyond in so many ways to ensure our wedding events at Mountain Top went perfectly.

My wife, granddaughter and I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend it was awesome. Stayed in Breedlove cabin, beautiful interior, comfy beds, full kitchen and washer and dryer. The staff, Allie and Amanda are great, cooked us breakfast very good. Wine/beer and Chacuterie every day at 5, and Amanda s homemade cookies are yummy. Great place to stay!Rooms: Rooms are great, look newly furnished and beds and pillows are very comfortable.Nearby activities: Very close to downtown Dahlonega about 3 miles drive.

Definitely one of the most unique places you can stay in Dahlonega. The owners and staff are nothing short of top notch people. Love the design aesthetic, wonderful taste. Blends heavy rustic with clean modern accents. And the name is quite literal, right on top of a mountain amongst the Appalachian foot hills. You cannot go wrong with this booking.Nearby activities: Good jumping off point for a wine tourSafety: Nice quiet area

My company held our annual leaders retreat here and had a fantastic time.The friendly staff are amazing, the rooms very clean and comfortable, and the food is wonderful. The little extras they provide, like homemade chocolate, really make you feel special.Sean and his team really went above and beyond.You can't go wrong staying here.

The site is beautiful to spend days in the mountains with your partner or friends. We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary and the attention of Sean the general manager from the beginning was great! the welcome was with a tray of cheeses and charcuterie. The decoration of the place made by the owner Heather is beautiful, no detail escaped her and you can see the love and dedication that she put into the decoration so that her guests feel comfortable. The breakfast made by Amanda who is super friendly was delicious. We will definitely be back and it is 100% recommended. In addition, there are beautiful places to visit nearby such as vineyards, hiking trails and visit the town of Dalhonega.

Mountain Top Lodge at Dahlonega is top notch! I would highly recommend it! My husband and I had a wonderful time over our long weekend there in early October 2021. The hospitality was fantastic. Paige's cooking was splendid! Thankfully, we walked it off doing wine tours and shopping in the adorable town square. Awaiting us each evening was a wonderful "happy hour" where we could share with other guests what we'd done that day and just get to know each other. Our room was clean and the bed super comfortable!
