I needed to get my truck s emissions inspection and went to Herbert Automotive for the chore. They ve been fast and efficient in the past. Unfortunately, on this day, a lot of people had the same idea. I really needed the inspection so I stayed in the long line. Once I finally got my turn, the anxiety went away. The inspector was friendly, fast and thorough. She finished up in about five to ten minutes and I was done. Poor lady; it was about 40 degrees, super windy, and she d not had a break all day (and it was 1:00 when I got in line). Good job to all.

Steven is the manager at the 369 location. We have an awesome relationship as we are Red's Restorations, so we take all our vehicles there for alignment and service we don't provide. Steven, put my customers vehicle before others yesterday as she had to wait at the shop. They are always, friendly, polite and best of all so proficient in repairs. We highly recommend them always.

Terrible customer service. After they completed my emissions test in the system they told me I couldn't pay with a card because their machines were down. I asked if I could pay with a check they said yes then no because it wasn't a business check. Then the guy says look your going to have to go somewhere and get cash and come back. Wow. Not somewhere I could recommend

When my wife and my car had an issue pop up the day that we were to drive 700 miles back home, Kelsey, the manager at this location, got us in instantly and got us back on the road in no time! The service that we received, and the work that they did on our car, was top notch. They took a stressful situation and made it like it never happened. Thank you!

The manager and the staff were excellent. They were able to save us a significant amount of money by not up selling us. We thought we needed new brakes, rotors and we told the calipers, but they were able to save the calipers and could've just said they were not salvageable. Their honesty is appreciated, especially in these economic times that are hard for everyone. Thanks all!

With one exception, the staff was very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, my vehicle needed more service than they could do and I understand this. One of there techs said "You're still going to have to pay your bill." TWICE! I wasn't trying to get out of my paying my bill. His statement and implication that I was trying to get out of paying my bill pissed me off. I won't be getting my vehicles serviced there again courtesy of his comments.Service: Auto water leak repair

I ve been taking my cars here for a few years now. They ve always been up front and honest with me and taken very good care of all my vehicles. Steven is exceptional! There s no other auto shop that I trust to work on my cars.

I highly recommend Herbert Automotive on Browns Bridge. Every time I bring in my car, they are quick and helpful! They always do a great job and I m a many time repeat customer! Went in for my oil change mile down the road loud screeching pull over while skid plate is dragging call them oh we will come take it of get you a new one! Two weeks later still on car call them oh we haven t done that yet nope! We will be out today ok! 3 months later hey you get my skid plate oh my Regionalmgr has to get it. 10 months later hey checking in got my plate yet it s ordered! 14 MONTHS LATER I call the Herbert on Kieth Bridge next day fixed will never go here again!

The once trusted part of our community is no longer! We have taken our cars to Herbert for over 20 years. They were a source for honest work when we needed the basics done. We had hoped that they would be able to continue serving the area with the same level of customer service after being purchased by a larger company. Unfortunately that is not the case. After an oil change on our daughters care - the check engine light came on. She brought it back to Herbert and they said it needed new ignition coils and spark plugs. They ended up charging her over $900. They marked up the spark plugs to $50 each - the same ones that would cost you about $19 each over the counter. The ignition coils would run under $200 retail and the labor was only 1.5 hours. We believe in business's making a profit but taking advantage of customers and moving margins that high crazy. There are other honest shops out there -- unfortunately Herbert is no longer one of them .Upon posting this review - an auto generated response was given. We followed up per their request - lets hope they remedy this. OH and the car's check engine light is on again and its doing the same thing. So they either mis-diagnosed or didnt do what they said -- either way we paid over $900 for nothing !

I can't say enough good things about this place. I've done a few oil changes here and repairs. They are always responsive and go above and beyond expectations. I have maxcare through CarMax on one of my vehicles but I can't get an appointment in less than 3 weeks whenever I try, but Herbert automotive always gets me in and has worked with CarMax warranty on my behalf even though they aren't officially a CarMax repair facility.

I was about to never visit a Herbert Automotive again due to the workers at a nearby shop (workers coming in late and talking about how wasted they were the night before). Like I would ever want someone like that doing high priced work on my car.However, I am so grateful I used the Herbert Automotive on Browns Bridge Road. They were all great there, but one worker in particular, Steve, really stood out and went above and beyond for my wife and I. He was very gracious in our need to have things overexplained and they went above and beyond which, while we did not expect, certainly gaurenteed that we are now loyal customers to this shop and will always bring our car to them first. I never got the feeling that I was being overcharged like I get at other shops and I feel very confident in the work they did.Steve really showed that good customer service is not dead and my family and I will be loyal customers because of it.

The oil change service was very slow and chaotic.They did check the tire pressure but they over-inflated (38 psi) the passenger side and left the driver's side at 33 psi. 33 is actually the correct inflation amount so I guess they were have right...Lastly, the driver's side carpet was loaded with grease and oil tracks from the tech's shoes (they apparently used no protective paper or plastic).The guys were generally friendly and apologetic but for a simple oil change, I'll be going elsewhere.Edit: I discovered afterwards that the oil change reminder hadn't been reset. No big deal, but still. Then, as icing on the cake, my credit card was charged twice and 24 hours after asking them to correct it, it's still on my account.I'm sure this wasn't their best effort...

My car was making a weird noise. Called Herbert Automotive. They got me in right away, diagnosed the problem and fixed my issue the same day. Highly recommend!!
