Big D Automotive has the friendliest and caring staff you will meet! They are honest and truly just want to help. They aren't out to get all your money PLUS Donald is literally the best mechanic around. Great prices and gets the job done! I definitely recommend 100% !!

Probably the best experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Big D Automotive was prompt, incredibly communicative, and super affordable. They were finished working on my car exactly when they said they would be, and it was so easy bringing in my car and explaining what was wrong/what needed to be done. And both guys I interacted with that worked there were very friendly. I strongly recommend them for your car needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Spent 2600.00 for a front rebuild and nearly crossed center line twice into oncoming traffic. Alignment be damned this truck is a mess. No sway bay upon return. Told it was no big deal. Just break it in without factory safety equipment. Come drive it. You may not survive

About a month ago, I took my car to "Big Chain X" for some repairs. They did a good job, treated me respectfully, etc., but it was pricey - as I'm used to so no surprise. Early last week, my car had a separate issue so I took it back to "Big Chain X." They charged me a diagnostic fee of $135 and determined that it was a valve/gasket issue. They quoted me a price of $860 to do the job. My son jumped in for me this time and said no way. He did some research and found Big D Automotive. They did the job - the exact same repair that "Big Chain X" would have done - for $249. Today, I had another issue looked at (my car is old, y'all, and it needs lots of things). My car has been misfiring and hesitating off and on for a while, so they looked at it, identified the problem, and replaced the offending part - all for $130 in under an hour. So, totaling up the diagnostic fee at "Big Chain X" and the two repairs done at Big D, my total came to $514 for everything - that's $350 LESS than what one repair would have cost at "Big Chain X." I also know that this would have been the case at any big chain auto repair - not just "Big Chain X." It's just the way things are.Big D has all my business from now on. They are family owned and have been in Forsyth County for many years. They are seriously the MOST honest auto repair folks I've ever encountered. It's not fancy, they don't have wifi, free coffee or snack machines. What they do have is GREAT service.Service: General repairs & maintenance
