I cannot say enough good things about this AAMCO location! I wish I could give more than five stars and they didn't even fix our vehicle! We brought our vehicle to them and learned it needed a new transmission. Due to the vehicle's age we decided not to have it repaired, and at the same time we were dealing with some family issues. AAMCO allowed us to leave our vehicle there for way longer than any reasonable person would expect. AAMCO showed compassion, empathy, and patience towards our situation. They could have easily told us, "We don't care what's going on in your life, get your piece of junk out of here." Instead, they showed they truly care about other human beings whether they are customers or not.Honesty is another important trait to look for in a mechanic. AAMCO had every opportunity to take advantage of our situation, but they didn't. They have proven to me they are a business of integrity.While I'm not looking forward to when my new vehicle needs repairs, I know exactly where I am going to take it. This AAMCO location has more than proved to me that they are worthy of my business.

I took my car to them to figure out my problem and the totally ignored what symptoms I told them I was having and under what conditions I was having them in. I told them my car shifted fine on a cold start but when it reached normal operating temperature the car had a really, really hard shift in first and second gear. Their owner said the tech drove it down the street and could not duplicate the problem. When I asked them to drive it further or I would come in to show them the problem, he acted like it would be too much trouble. It's obvious they have too much business to be messing with it. I recommend if you need somewhere that will give you good service, go somewhere else. This shop isn't it.

Had a great experience at AAMCO transmission. We brought our SUV in with a bunch of lights lit up on the dashboard related to transmission. We thought it would be some thing really expensive. However, we received that after resetting the sensors and doing vigorous testing, they could not find anything obvious wrong with the transmission. We were able to drive it off, and it s still working well could ve cost us a fortune. We are so thankful for honest people like Richard and James! Thanks for restoring our confidence in the automotive world.

I have been using this shop for over 10 years. All my vehicles and those that belong to my friends have been repaired by the team at AAMCO. They are a small business but big on quality. Took my 2005 Ford F150 for a botched job from a local transmission fluid change servicer - it was leaking very badly. They fixed everything right as rain.and didn't overcharge. Excellent work.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I've had work done at other AAMCOs around the country in the the past, but this one greatly exceeded all of my expectation. My alternator very unexpectedly went out while leaving work one day right before fourth of July weekend. Their shop was packed, and it was late in the afternoon, but as soon as they heard about my situation they quickly squeezed me in. They got the car back to me in record time (way earlier than they originally promised), worked with me above and beyond on payment, and even stayed after hours for me to be able to wait for my roommate to get off work and be able to take me out there to pick up my car. As a woman that has worked in the car industry before, I know what to look for to know I'm being yanked around by a shop and cheated on prices because we often don't know any better, but I never once felt that here.They are friendly, compassionate and professional, and I can't say better things about Richard and the rest of the team. Highly recommend their service!

It's hard to be excited about and even harder to pay for a transmission rebuild but these guys are legit. Brought it in under quoted price. Only gripe was the amount of time it took but these days all of the good shops are backed up. Will definitely work with them again

I had a great experience with Richard and the others here just last week. They quoted me a price upfront and stuck to it. I thought my son's car was destined for the junkyard after being quoted $3500 to install a rebuilt transmission and labor. Richard brought the fix down to a more manageable price and the car runs perfect. They also helped me narrow down a wheel bearing issue while test driving it. I recommend this shop as a great shop for transmission work. The dealership I bought the car at and my regular mechanic could not recommend any transmission shops within 45 miles of me, but after finding this shop and my experience, I told them both and they may be making new recommendations now. Thanks for the great service!

Everyone here was incredibly nice and repaired my jeep very fast. After being quoted a much higher price at the jeep dealership I reached out to this establishment on the phone and they let me know what their prices were for labor and the part needed. Very glad that I gave them a call and saved a bunch of money. I will definitely be coming back for any future repairs and servicing! Thanks James!

James and his employee's are reliable and honest. They do great work on all aspects of automotive repair and stand behind their work. I have going to them for all types of maintenance and repairs on our families cars, including my Corvette, for over 4 years. Never have I be concerned or disappointed. Thanks to Richard, I can always get my vehicle in for service when it is needed and depend on his follow up.

I've used several mechanics in the Cumming/Alpharetta area for 14 years. I buy older vehicles and keep them well maintained. Had never used this shop until recently, when I had a serious transmission problem on an older SUV.AAMCO diagnosed the problem for me at no cost. Russell and James gave me advice on fix, repair or replace and estimates for each. I went to three other places and got the run-around and even had a "diagnosis fee" of $500 from one shop just to tell me what was wrong. NO THANKS!I ended up selling the "mechanic special" vehicle and bought a vehicle that this AAMCO had recently replaced the transmission- so I felt comfortable purchasing it. Our "new" vehicle runs great.What I also didn't realize was that this AAMCO does all types of repairs, not just transmissions. They are fair and honest and they will be my new mechanic for all of my cars from now on!Anyone know an honest mechanic?? Yes, go see Russell or James at AAMCO in Cumming!

I have been going to them for over 2 years now, and they have definitely earned this 5 star review. I've had to have major engine work done and a lot of other companies were declining to do the work when Aamco was ready to go. It is a company that does it's best to do quality service, and I will continue to use them in the future.

Very good experience. The work was quality and honest. Richard at the front was friendly and cautious. The work was done timely. There maybe other places for transmission work but this location is definitely thumbs up for me. It is difficult to find auto shop these days that are trustworthy. Highly recommend.

My experience here was to fix my brother in law s car. He came from out of town and had some bad noise. AAMCO pretty much diagnosed it for free and referred us to someone else who had the bandwidth to work on the car in the near term. That shows a lot of integrity.

Great Transmission shop. There is nothing worse than knowing you need a new transmission. They did a fantastic job with the swap and my Buick Enclave AWD runs great again. Not cheap but you get what you pay for but at least I know I got a great transmission with the beat nationwide warranty in the business Thanks Richard!

David, Russell and the rest of their team were awesome! They understood our predicament needing to have the work on our transmission done quickly so we could return to Florida as soon as possible and completed the job a day earlier than first anticipated. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone needing transmission or other work done on their vehicles.

People have a preconceived notion sometimes. This Aamco location was genuinely knowledgeable, helpful and half the price of a reputable automotive shop. Ask for James. You won't be sorry!

First time doing business with AAMCO and I was very satisfied. Not only did they fix my cars engine/transmission mounts but they did it sooner then the expected date, topped my transmission fluid and fixed a loosened starter cable that was preventing the car from starting all the time and they did all this on top of the busy schedule they had. Will be coming back with future car repair needs.

Store manager Richard quickly diagnosed the problem I was having with my 2001 Toyota Tacoma. The price quote was more than fair and they repaired the vehicle the next day. The transmission is working far better now then ever. I would recommend them to my friends without reservation.

I've had both a clutch and a transmission replaced at this AAMCO. They've done great work and saved me lots of money as compared to the dealership or other shops. I've found them to be honest and they get their work done on time and on budget.

James was great! He could have taken advantage of me, but instead was extremely fair. It was not the typical upsell repair shop. I highly recommend him for not only transmission service, but general repairs and service.

had a great experience all they did was check and top off my transmission fluid. they use lubegard which is the best snake oil out there for transmissions and I had a bottle of that added. all they charged me for was the bottle of Lubegard and that was it. Definitely will be back. Manager appears to be a very straight shooter

Honest, friendly and helpful. I can't review their prices because they were honest enough to tell me that my problem wasn't the transmission! I would definitely recommend them!

They're always busy, which is good! Fair prices, AAA recommends them, I like to work on my own car, but if I want it done right and have the time, I'll always take my cars here!
