Robb rebuilt the transmission in my 2001 Ram 2500 CTD about a year ago. It has worked absolutely flawlessly every since. I use this truck primarily for towing, and it has some performance upgrades, so I knew I needed some upgrades to the transmission as well. Robb went the extra mile with an upgraded Torque Converter, shift kit and valve body, and it works better than brand new. He even went so far as to promise me that it would hold up to any amount of horsepower I could throw at it, and If it didn't, he would build it again. He is a man of his word, and he does great work at a fair price. He truly is a Top Notch Guy, building Top Notch Transmissions.

My husband had his truck towed to Top Notch for a transmission rebuild. After doing some research and price checking locally, we decided this was the place to go. We are not disappointed! Very friendly and professional. I first spoke with Rob about 6 months ago when my Explorer first started exhibiting transmission issues and he gave me a quote to re-engineer my transmission. I couldn t afford it at the time but finally last week I was able to pay for it to go into the shop and he gave me the exact quote and even remembered me from our first meeting. We dropped it off on Friday morning and by the following Thursday he had it up and running like a dream. Rob is a one man show and highly dedicated to his work so if you ever need transmission work done I definitely recommend going to see him. Thanks again Rob!

Rob did a great job on rebuilding my transmission in my dodge. Everyone else was trying to get me to pay way to much to do what I wanted done. Rob and I spoke about it and got a plan together, I took it to him the next day. Started ordering parts and with his reasonable prices and work the truck drives and shifts great (Top Knotch) again. He sent pictures and videos of everything that was broken and needed replaced throughout the whole rebuild. Thanks.Service: Transmission

Top Notch is exactly that!!!! Rob was very honest and very helpful about the repair to my vehicle. He has a customer for life!!! THANKS**UPDATE ** 5 days after getting my car back, my car was acting up. Long story short, I paid $1,550.00 cash to change my torque converter, took it back to Rob to check my car because my transmission was surging. He drove my car (with my husband ) for 30 minutes. Rob said that he didn't feel anything (my husband felt it)and he checked my fluid which was black...he told us it wasn't my transmission. He broke a part under my hood and said it was already broke. I took it to a different mechanic and he said it was definitely my transmission. Rob will NEVER work on my vehicle again. DO NOT HAVE ROB WORK ON YOUR VEHICLE. Robert is the absolute best mechanic I have worked with. He is honest, fair, reliable and meticulous about his work. Finding a mechanic that is a perfectionist is rare he wants it right down to last screw! I won t let any one else touch my transmission after he repaired the first vehicle years later I needed to reach out to him for another vehicle and he didn t disappoint per usual! I took my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 to Rob Knowing the Transmission had Issues, he assessed it Immediately and gave me a quote. The Bill was exactly what the quote was, The Rear main seal he put in was leaking, which after doing some research I found is a common issue when when you replace them on these diesel. I called Rob and took him the truck he pulled the transmission out and replaced the rear main seal again and had my truck to me the next day. I can not say enough about his honesty and punctuality. The truck is running great the transmission is doing great also. I will take all my Transmission to Rob, I highly recommend him and his work.

Great service, honest business! Rob is a professional, trustworthy guy. Had my van towed from my house, never met the guy a day in my life. Had a good vibe from him and glad I followed through! Rob did a great job on my Silverado. Transmission needed rebuilding and Rob definitely took care of it. He told me why it failed and even was honest about the transmission being swapped that I didn t even know about because the junk yard id number for it was inside the bell housing and wouldn t know it s there unless the transmission was dropped. He kept me updated with pictures. Brought it on a Monday night and picked it up on a Thursday night the same week. Definitely will use him again if I ever need transmission work done on any vehicle I have. Highly recommend Top notch Transmissions!Service: Transmission

Rob is the man. I called him about my 2006 hummer H3 he knew right Of the bat on what transmission was in it I asked him if he would rebuild it. He went into detail about what he was gonna do. He s very knowledgeable and he even informed me on upgrades which I did and it runs better than ever before. All my transmission and gearing work will go to him. His pricing is awesome for what you get you would be crazy to go anywhere else and he even will send you progress pics of your old parts to the new parts. He give a great warranty as well. Thanks for the great work. I recommend him to anyone having transmission problem or gearing problems. He s got you covered.

My husband called Robert about our transmission. He was able to get us in and out FAST and gave us the best price around. He is a very honest and told us everything that was wrong up front so there were no "hidden" costs charged to us. If you need your transmission fixed I would highly recommend him to do the job.

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Top Notch. We have a 2010 Chevy Impala that needed a new transmission , we contacted Robert he had it done in a timely manner at a price we could afford. Top Notch was honest with us my car runs like new. I've never had a better experience with a mechanic before , I will definitely recommend Top Notch to anyone having transmission problems .

Awesome service! I have had Rob rebuild two transmissions for me and neither had any issues at all. Rob stands behind his work 100% I am now having him build me a custom 4l80e to be behind a 5.9 Cummins diesel. I could have went with house brands but reading reviews you just don't know. I know Rob will deliver on this newest project and know that when completed the transmission will be perfect and operate without issues for years to come! I will not use anyone else for my projects.

Had Rob do a clutch in one my trucks. Not only did he give me an awesome price, but had it finished in 3 days. I would and do recommend Rob to any one wanting any type of transmission and drive train work done. He does the job right the first time so that you don t have to worry down the road.

Just like the name says...this guy is TOP NOTCH no doubt! One man show knows his stuff about transmissions. He rebuilt mine in a 2008 f150 fast turn around. Shifts nice firm and smooth. I'm satisfied with his work and professional personality. Excellent transmission man. Thanks Rob for you help!

Rob does a wonderful job. We have a handicap van the transmission went out and he rebuilt it and had us back on the road fast.We also had Rob rebuild and transmission for our Rat Rod and it s awesome.He has great prices and uses the best parts.If you ever need transmission work please stop by and see Rob.

Rob is absolutely fabulous, he took very good care of my car. He understood that my car was sentimental to me and made sure that everything on that was running right before he sent it back to me, he even went the extra mile to call me and tell me that my car was unsafe due to needing brakes and rotors all the way around. And he fix that too great job great price great person.

Robert was quick to diagnose my car. We had the torque converter replaced. He had our car back to us in a few days. Very friendly and honest. Also, fair prices. I would definitely use him again if needed.

I m a college student in Georgia from Maryland and my car broke down and I had no idea what to do. Rob just so happened to be like me of the few people I called but seemed to be the only one who was able to diagnose what was wrong w my car just by what I described over the phone. He was super helpful, kind, and funny! My dad is a mechanic and works on my cars back home, but rob was way more efficient, helpful, timely and all at a good price. Robert Perez is a fantastic guy, and this shop deserves more attention at every level of vehicle. He was more than willing to help me in a pinch and had just the part I needed. He was willing to help diagnose and test my solenoids, and any other problems that were wrong with the parts in my transmission. I was more than thuroughly impressed, and thankful, by his efficiency, kindness, and knowing his stuff. He's got a great shop, and I will definitely come there again in the future if anything is wrong with my transmission, let alone refer anyone else to this establishment!

rob is the man!! Best transmission builder in the south. Hands down !! a buddy of mine went to a place in Jefferson 3 times they pulled and built his transmission in 4 months. I told him it only took once with rob!! Just remember cheap transmissions you get what you pay for. After having one built from a guy in Winder and then my buddy having one built in Jefferson we both will never ever use anybody but rob again that boy is a mater transmission builder!Service: Transmission

Excellent service! When we were passing by Georgia while heading to D.C., our car broke down in Commerce, GA. So, we came to Robert and his company, and they took care of us really well. Other repair shops were telling us to change our speed sensors, but Robert made it easier for us and fixed it for a reasonable price, too. Him and his team were very happy to take care of us. They respect all of their customers and have great personalities. Within a few days, we were on our way and satisfied with the fix. Robert even called us after we left to ask if the car was alright. Had my car towed to him after check engine light was showing several transmission codes and it wouldnt shift above 1st gear one day. He was very upfront and gave me a very reasonable price for a rebuild, but said he was confident it didn't need to be rebuilt. The very next day he had looked over it and called me and told me my transmission was perfectly fine and it was the TCM causing all the codes and issues. He didn't charge me anything. This man could have 100% charged me $2k and said he rebuilt the transmission but he didn't. Super upfront and super honest. Unheard of in today's society. Would 100% recommend him to anyone.

Took my 96 F250 Powerstroke to Rob after it suddenly dumped all the transmission fluid out the front seal. He pulled it apart and found sub standard work had been done on a prior rebuild. After a full overhaul and some upgrades to fix some factory issues, it shifts better than it ever has. I use this truck in my business and could not afford to have it down for very long and Rob didn't let me down, he went above and beyond to get me back up and going. He will have all my future transmission business as well as any referrals I can send his way.Thanks Rob

I wanted to give Robert a review before I even had my truck brought to his shop. He was able to get me hooked up with a wrecker at a fair price and he quoted me about 1000$ cheaper than the aamco and replaced my rear main seal at no extra price. I would definitely give him a call before going to the other guys . My truck runs better than it has ever had and I know if I called him right now he would answer the phone and have my back. To say that Rob knows transmissions would be an understatement. He has fixed two vehicles for me and I haven t had a single issue since. His prices are more than fair for the expertise you are getting. I wouldn t suggest anywhere else other than Top notch for transmission issues.
