We had a great experience at Pro Motors!!After having a terrible experience at a different shop, we brought it here to get a second opinion and that's when he turned our frown, upside down!! It didn't take long to figure out, Pro Motors is honest and reliable and they will do you right! 5 experience!!

Took a set of wheels and tires there to be mounted/balanced. The staff/owner was super helpful and they nocked it out by end of the day. I was a little nervous at first as these were brand new wheels where most other shops always nick/damage the finish. Not here! The wheels are still perfect and there was no evidence they had even been mounted, lol (i.e. no soap, smudges, grease, etc.) - they were as clean coming out as they went in. It's this level of detail that makes return customers!

What's keeping me from giving them 1 star is they did get tires and an alignment done before the weekend when no one else would, and they were relatively polite.I've dealt with these guys a couple times, the first being a tire that needed patching. "It's too worn to patch." Yes the wear bars are gone, but there's no plies showing and I'm willing to sign a waiver, I've already got tires on the way, I just need to get to work for the next day or two. "Sorry, but we can get you new tires on by tomorrow if you'd like." Evidently the guys hard of hearing. Went to Pep Boys on Whittlesey and they patched it no problem, no waiver, and like $20.The second time the tires come in a couple days later, I figure what the heck, maybe I was just being a jerk. I bring in a brand new set of BFGs mfr'd roughly a month prior. "We don't install tires we don't sell, as other vendors sell seconds or B-grade." Again, I tell them I'll sign a waiver (as BFG doesn't sell seconds or B-Grade under their own name) or whatever, I just need them put on and the shops close to work. Still no dice. Went to Mavis on Schomburg, they had them on in 2 hours and gave me a printout from the Hunter machines for about $130.The third time was recently, about a year and a half later, and this one drove me to leave a review. "I've got a 2WD Super Duty with leveling spacers that needs new tires and an alignment. I'd like to keep 2 of the used tires for spares, and I've got adjustable camber bushings from MOOG to account for the spacers. The spindles will be loose, as once you tighten them down the bushings can't be adjusted. And if it's not too much trouble, please print out the report from the Hunter machines for my records." They tell me no problem, and I assume since it's a professional shop with maintenance contracts that surely this is within their scope. They set me up with some Iron Mans (which are factory seconds by the way, and were mfr'd about a year prior to installation) and I wait the next couple days to hear back.I hear back about 2 days later with the 'alignment guy' about all the bolts in the front end being loose. I tell him it's on purpose, it was all just redone, I just don't have an alignment machine. I ask if there's any problems with the camber bushings. He says no, and I pick it up the next day.Long story short, all the tires were disposed of, I was charged for $20 worth of wheel weights (did I use every one they had?), and an additional $65 to "tighten all the bolts that were left loose from ball joints". The bushings were only adjusted to factory spec and tightened down, not past factory spec to account for the spacers, which left them severely toe'ed out and defeated the point of using them. I then asked for the printouts from the Hunters, and as I'd expected, "We don't print those out usually, they mounted up nice though." I can tell, judging from the $20 worth of wheel weights you used.Icing on the cake though, was when I was driving the load that required these new tires from Tennessee to South Carolina in the middle of the night, a brake caliper bolt and a nut to one of my outer tie rod ends came loose and flew off. Luckily it made a loud THUD and I was on a back road at low speed, so I pulled over, hitched a ride from a very generous stranger into town, got a hotel room, went to autozone, got a taxi back to the truck, fixed it and was on my way. Point being, I payed $65 for the pleasure and ruined a bunch of my new parts since I didn't have the foresight of going back over work I was just charged for, but I (and I'd think many of you) figured $65 was too steep to charge for just two bolts. Which upon fixing it all roadside, was found to be the case. No witness marks, cotter pins, or thread locker anywhere to be seen.TL;DR: If you need an oil change I'm sure they're fine, but if you need anything more than that I'd sooner take it almost anywhere else. They're polite, but more shade-tree mechanics than professional technicians, and will charge you for whatever they can get away with.

Good, reliable service. Conveniently located, pleasant staff, and, in my experience, a trustworthy mechanic. (hard to find!) that I have used for years.I recently woke up to a flat tire, having run over a small piece of metal. Took it to the nearest shop and asked for it to be patched, not plugged. The guy said he could not patch it because of where the hole was located (very common load of BS designed to get you to buy a new tire instead of patching the tire you already have). Though it was a little further for me to go, Chris at Pro Motors patched it up and had me back on the road in no time. It's been a few weeks and the tire is fine. Precisely the reason I have been, and will continue to be, a repeat customer.

Best place in town to take your car! Everytime I ve went into pro motors no matter the severity of the circumstances I always leave feeling my car is in the best hands possible. The building is always nice and the employees are never less than awesome every time. Chris is always awesome and treats every customer with respect!

Took my vehicle there on a friend s recommendation. Check in was efficient, for a first time customer. They fixed the problem for a fair price in a reasonable period of time. The facility is relatively new, has limited customer parking and appears well-staffed with mechanics. It s a family business, so expect a homey atmosphere at the customer reception side.

I am so grateful that I found Pro! Years ago, my Toyota dealership told me that my 2011 Highlander's transfer case was going bad and needed to be replaced at a cost of $5200. I couldn't manage the cost then and the roar inside the cabin just got worse. My company started using Pro for their vehicles, so I brought mine in. Pro told me that I had a misdiagnosis from the dealership and that there is nothing wrong with my transfer case. My bearings were bad in my rear wheels. So, for a cost of $1001, I had both wheels done and an oil change. That is a savings of $4200! Thank you Pro! You've got my business for all of our vehicles in the family, and I will spread the word...Honesty, integrity and knowledge is all we ask for in a mechanic!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Oil change

I've been going to Pro Motors for the last 5-6 years after they were recommended by a friend. In total they have probably worked on my cars approx 8-10 times and not once have I had a bad experience. Chris, Laurie, and the Pro Motors staff are always more than helpful, professional, and courteous. After years of searching for an honest and reliable local automotive shop I found one in Pro Motors. Highly recommend.Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine tuning, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning

I would recommend Chris at Pro Motors to anyone. His integrity and honesty are rare qualities you won't find with another mechanic. I am temporarily stationed here in Columbus and Chris worked on both of my vehicles. Lori was very polite and Chris resolved the issues with my Mazda fast and affordably. Take your car to Pro Motors. They won't take advantage of you and you can expect professionalism.

I cannot recommend Pro Motors enough! My 2016 Duramax dropped all oil pressure and pipe blew off my turbo. I just bought this truck, so I was pretty upset thinking the worst. After asking people I trust around town, nearly everyone told me to take it to Chris at Pro Motors. Not only did Chris get my truck going, but it was faster and much more affordable than I expected. They followed up with me and explained everything very professionally. We all need an honest, straight forward mechanic that knows what they are doing. I m telling you that Chris is my guy and should be yours too!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Chris was very honest and straigt forward in regards to our little red mazda. His work was affordable and I appreciate that very much especially since we gave him little notice that we were coming. He was very professional and got the job done in a timely manner. His wife was very sweet and we loved his two dogs which greeted us at the counter. We highly recommend them and will take our car to them for future repairs.

These days the most important thing you need in a mechanic is honesty. Chris and his guys are the only mechanics I will let touch my vehicles because I trust them. I absolutely recommend them if you need a good mechanic. They're fast too. I dropped off my sister-in-laws SUV thinking I would hear from them in a day or two (which seems to be the norm around here). But to my surprise, I heard from him within the hour. Vehicle was fixed and back on the road by the next morning. What more could you want in a shop?? Chris and Mark - thanks for all that you do. You guys deserve an excellent review.

Would not recommend. Called for a quote and the secretary informed me that they don't give quotes over the phone. In 2020, who does that? Just a way for them to entice you to their location, but that's fine. I then informed her that I had some parts I would like to install and wanted labor only, but she gave me the run around on why it's better to use theirs. The work they do is probably solid, but I would never recommend this business based on some of their principles.

These guys were referred to me by a friend and the first time i took my car there i was treated well, and was allowed to come into the workspace so they could show me what work they were doing. Chris always answers my calls and texts when i have questions or concerns. He is very patient, and fair. Prices are reasonable (you get what you pay for). I have been getting work done on my old lady for a few years now and will take Her to him as long as he is in business and not on vacation! They work on all makes and models, so thats a plus.

I have used several mechanics since the Army Stationed me in Columbus. Pro Motors has never failed me and provides professional and affordable service while getting you back into your vehicle in the minimal amount of time needed. I have always had all of my questions answered and explained about anything that needs to be done. I highly recommend Pro Motors to anyone needing quality and affordable repairs.

These guys are honest and only want to fix what is wrong with your car. I took my car to a Mavis tire and they told me I needed new brake pads and rotors and struts and shocks. I then took it to Pro Motors and they said not only did I not need any of those repairs but that I had at least 10,000 more miles to go on my brakes. And they didn't charge me for taking a look at the vehicle. I went from thinking I need to spend $1,400 to spending $0. They have earned my business from here on out. Thank you so much.

The van was checked for cooling system leaks and was told the water pump needed replacing. After the mechanic replaced the water pump Chris called me and said the radiator was cracked and water was pouring out. I had looked for leaks and had been nursing the van for about a week at about a half a gallon a day and never noticed that the radiator was leaking. Seems like he should have noticed that during the first pressure test! Chris changed out the radiator and charged me an extra $162 dollars which is approximately 1.75 hours work. Since I have replaced the radiator many times I know that when you replace the water pump the only thing you have to do at that point to remove the radiator is to remove two water hose connections, the two transmission lines connections, the lower shroud and remove the radiator fluid bottle. Maybe about twenty minutes, 30 max. and another 20 - 30 minutes to reinstall. I asked him about it and he said he had to remove equipment but he had already removed to do the water pump. Seems like he lied, I am considering disputing the extra charge and extra radiator with my credit card company. Will never use him again!

The worst place I've ever been to. I drove 30 minutes out of alabama just to go there. The people there are very rude, prejudice, and unprofessional. I wanted to ask the mechanics brief questions but I was always told by them that I couldn't talk to them. I had to call the number on the sign. And the crazy part is when I called the number on the sign, I could literally hear the lady from where I was standing at, and could hear everything she was discussing with the mechanic about my questions. I'm standing right here man, answer my questions directly.. and they also refused to give me service due to me being upset about the whole nonsense they had going on. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go there.

One of the mechanics was assisting me when another vehicle drove up,and he proceeded to leave my vehicle. He greeted that gentleman with a smile, and told him that he sent him a friend request. They proceeded to chat while I was left waiting. I have two small children, and this heat is not something I am going to prolong their exposure to. If he wants to chat up his buddies he needs to stay at home. My time is valuable, and he wasted it. He was a rude, and quite frankly my children have better manners, dispositions.

my rear axle was having issues. brakes locked up and they fixed front brakes and rotors. i recall i took the car to another shop before bring my car to them and they told me what was wrong with my car before taking to another shop. so this shop is a bunch of mess. over charging me and not doing the work that was needed to be done. It had nothing to do with my front end at all. sometimes you just need have a man at home to fix a car instead going place that they dry you out all your money. they say they try to help me where??? i almost killed myself picking up my car from their shop after hours. thanks alot! wish i can give 0 stars

I was with a friend whom was trying to get them to take a look at their truck and the owner was very rude to my friend. He said that he is the best diesel mechanic and the only one around here. Very unprofessional of him and I won t refer this company to anyone. Please find another mechanic.
