Quick service . They got my odd tire size in in 12 hours. Their allignment was down, but they offered in writing to replace my tires if they wore before they got it in... they got us in the next morning. Several hundred cheaper than other local shops. As someone who goes through a set a year minumum we will be back!

04/15/24 Tow took my car to Fred s this morning and they called and told me the car was good and ready for pick up. My 17 year old son is driving down the interstate and my damn car caught fire with him in it. Somebody better have a good damn excuse and I want a refund ASAP. After calling 911 the firemen came to put out the fire (all on video) and stated that oil got on the exhaust that caused the fire. My son then told them he had just picked the car up from the shop that got serviced and one thing that was done was the oil being changed (have receipt to prove). One of the guys advised him that something either wasn t done properly or someone wasn t paying attention when changing the oil, and to call the shop. This could ended badly and my son was terrified seeing all that smoke. I ve always either took my car to Nissan or Fred s (when Wayne (one of the owners) was there .better yet when ALL the good technicians were there) and only ever had two issues which this is the LAST time they will ever touch my vehicle. There is no coming back from putting my child s life in danger for something so careless. Hire better people that know exactly what they re doing.04/16/24 Called Fred s and was advised that the General Manager Brian Fisher would give me a call by end of business today (they close at 6pm) and if he doesn t give me a call the front desk reception would call me back. Well it s 7:41 pm and no call.

Brian and David were so kind and so helpful through the entire process! I purchased 4 brand new tires, and I got a free oil change and alignment. There's multiple pricing options, and a ton of free add ons if you buy 4 tires. Plus a "road hazard" insurance where they offer to replace your tire for free up to 5,000 miles. I wish I could give them 6 stars!

I absolutely messed up my tires. My inexperience allowed them to go completely bald because I didn't check them.I cannot express how kind, patient, and understanding they were. Zero judgement, and incredibly fair pricing. They will work with you every step of the way, including payment plans if necessary.Shout out to David, especially, who was incredibly nice to me over the phone and explained every step of the way regarding what I needed and why.They have my business from now on. I will never go anywhere else!!!

Was skipped over in service, waited over 2 hours to get one tire changed. Ppl came in after me, were service before me. And they expensive af. So disappointed & upset I wasted my hard earned money on such horrible service. Won't be back.

My 2007 Nissan Pathfinder was overheating so I had it towed to Fred's for repair. Brian called me and said that my vehicle was ready. I went to pick it up and paid them $881. Before I even got home it overheated again. I talked to Brian again and he arranged for it to be towed back to them Through several phone calls Brian agreed that they did not fix the problem and should get a refund. He tried to get me a refund and we thought I would get one. But then his upper management decided that they would only allow me store credit for less than half of what I paid them. I can't use store credit because I don't need tires or anything else they can do. They have had my car for several months now because they don't have a mechanic able to fix the problem. I am now looking for an attorney to file a suit in small claims court.

I usually go here for my maintenance, but today I walked in and was NOT greeted by the employees. I stood that the counter patiently waiting for someone to assist me. They acted as if I was invisible. No How can I help you? We will be with you soon? Nothing!! And I highly value customer services of any lower prices . I gladly walked away to take my car somewhere else.

My morning started terrifically with a relaxing yoga class. I was leaving my studio, and less than half a mile drove thru the railroad tracks. And I heard a massive explosion. I was terrified and kept going; I knew I had a tire low. I googled tire place near me.. blessed me! Fred s tires were 150 ft away. I did a U-turn, scared. I would even make it there, and everyone immediately jumped to help me. A giant bolt destroyed not only the tire but my entire rim. They were so lovely and understanding they did not even charge me for installing my spare tire. I am forever grateful for this place, and I recommend it 10/10.Thank you Fred s tire, for making my day a little brighter after that scare.

I highly recommend Fred s Tire Center! When I was alerted by another driver on the road that my tire appeared to be wobbling, I immediately called Fred s and asked if they could squeeze me in that day. They were so accommodating and had me come in right away! I was going on a long road trip the next day and I was really worried about the safety of the tire. They checked the car over immediately and gave me peace of mind. They are also very military friendly and genuinely nice people. I recommend Fred s for any auto needs!

Needed tires and an allignment. They beat the price of mavis and firestone by several hundred plus threw in an allignment and oil change. Their machine was down but they honored it later and they also said if the tires wore funny before they could align it they would replace my tires at no charge. 10/10 will be back. They were short staffed and the process took a little longer than usual but that is just how it is now with staffing issues all over.

I went in about a radiator leak on my truck. Waited 10 mins behind an empty desk before being told whoever was in charge was on a 'conference call' like that's supposed to excuse the complete emptiness of the place. No one was there to help anyone with anything. Two people had already left the store behind me in line after waiting so long. I told the guy the conference call was not my problem. This literal mouth-breather with the Forrest gump-iest eyes begins to stare at me. He follows me and my dad out of the store to stare at me some more. Then the owner or manager or whoever the next clown was comes red-as-a-beet screaming and yelling at me incoherently with threats and his little lackey-guy comes and puts his hands on my dad's car before we leave. This was the most unpleasant experience I've ever managed to have at a business in my entire life. It used to be owned by a guy named Fred, and run by his family. I've been going my whole life, and so has my dad. It was recently sold. It shows. Place used to be packed, it was dead empty when I went in- very clearly a reason for that. Never going back. Do not go give this place your business.

I highly recommend Fed's tires. Prices are competitive but their customer service is what truly sets them apart. Brian Fisher and staff far exceeded my expectations.

Where do I start? I come here and tell them specifically what I needed done. I needed a Tire Alignment, Tire balance and Rotation and simply asked for it to be done right after lunch and Mr David said No problem he looked at my tires before hand and said he would have it done. I get back at 2:00pm and they have not done anything yet because he claimed I needed new tires. If I wanted new tires then I would have told you to put new ones on there, just a way of wasting someone s time and he lied because he told me they already did the balance and rotation when after I declined the tires he said they haven t done either of those yet and I would have to wait through my now rushed alignment service because I have a appointment I have to be at by 3:00pm. I ve never seen a tire rotation, tire balance and allignment done in 25 minutes but they supposedly did it. Do not waste your time telling these people what you want done because they will not do the job. Without trying to sell you tires you don t need. I asked him if I had life left in my current tires and he said yes. What happened to customer service these days? It s definitely not the old Fred s tire that it used to be that s for sure. No wonder employees have left to go work somewhere else.

I arrived late in the afternoon with a screw in my tire. The whole crew was very accommodating and personable. They had me on my way in less than 30 minutes. Professionalism at it best!!!

I don't often do reviews like I should, but I've dealt with Freds for the last 20 years and even under new people this place never disappoints with customer satisfaction, quality work and honest, good people! I just laugh at these people that give 1 star reviews after reading their issues. If you would have understanding and patience that all people are not perfect, you'll live longer!

My tires unexpectedly went flat, and I stumbled upon Fred's Tires. David and his team did an amazing job of swiftly getting me back on the road. Their top-notch service and Southern hospitality were greatly appreciated. I highly recommend Fred's Tires!

Got some new Michelin tires for my wife s Hyundai Palisade today. Not only did they beat everyone else s prices substantially, but had my tires in stock! Not to mention they support the troops! Definitely recommend this shop, and will be back.Wasn t a fluke, came back for service on my daughter s vehicle and had another personable, small town experience. Phenomenal staff and shop.

I was told by Mavis during an oil change recently that I needed new tires and that the one I had with a nail in it was not repairable . Also that I needed new struts on a 35k mile vehicle. So of course I wanted a second opinion and since I ve purchased 2 sets of tires from Fred s in the past I took it there. Jackson was absolutely professional and candid while answering all of my questions. He repaired the not repairable tire, told me that I still had plenty of tread on all of them and assured me that the struts were fine. I went prepared to buy a set of tires so I would have been an easy sale if that s the type of place they were but nope that would be Mavis. Fred s will definitely continue to get my business.

Got a flat and thought I needed to replace the wheel. Turns out they could just patch the hole instead. Fred saved me hundreds of dollars by making a simple repair. I love and appreciate their honesty and professional service. Did the whole thing in under an hour right before closing too! I m coming back to Freds when I need new tires for sure!

If I could rate my experience at this location it would be minus - 0 stars. I was visiting from Maryland and took my 2011Hyundia Genesis to Fred's Tire Discounters (Kelly's) Columbus, GA on October 16, 2023 for what I thought would be routine front & rear brake pads replacement. To my surprise, I ended up replacing the front calibers which I knew wasn't damaged prior to being in their possession. They then gave me a quote to replace the calibers but a few hours later informed me that NO ONE (their distributors) had them in stock. What? (my reaction). So I actually had to locate and order them on my own. Once they were received and installed, I spoke with Jackson. And at this time he informed me that my car still wasn't correct.After several days while still in Fred's possession, their supposedly expert technicians could not figure out the problem. So finally It was suggested from the manager Brian that I have my car diagnosed by the Hyundai Dealer. Although I was frustrated at this point, I agreed and on October 23, 2023, had my vehicle towed to Hyundai dealer at Auto Nation, Columbus, GA.The following day October 24th, I was informed by Hyundai that my electronic parking brakes were frozen in which they concluded stemmed from improper installation of the brakes. I immediately reached out to Fred's manager (Brian) to inform him of their diagnosis and cost of repairs. Shortly thereafter, we merged with a conference conversation between myself, the Hyundai Service Advisor Justin and Brian (Fred's). Ultimately Brian disagreed with the dealership's diagnosis and cost of repairs and therefore refused to authorized their services.I returned to Fred's a few days later to speak with the General Manger (Jackson) but he again deferred me to Brian. Attempting once again to resolve this issue. He (Brian) still refuse to accept responsibly that Fred's technicians damaged my vehicle. So I'm truly feed up at this point and voiced my honest opinion. This lead to unpleasant exchange of words between the two of us. After the brief verbal altercation, Brain basically told me to vacate the premises and threaten to call the police.Mind you I never threatened him. But I did let him know I was highly pissed and had ran out of patients! I then followed up and ask him if I need to contact my attorney. He replied and I quote: " I don't care, call your attorney. Just get out of here with that noise"! Needless to say, I was shocked! I simply could not believe this was coming from a manager of such well known establishment. So I left the premises baffled and in disbelief.Fast forward, I did in fact contact my attorney. And on November 10th a letter was sent to Fred's Tire Discounters, Columbus, GA and received on November 14, 2023. My attorney is strongly urging them to resolve this issue by requesting a copy of their Certificate of Liability Insurance (COI) to file a claim. This is the first effort to resolve the issue. But as of today, November 28, 2023, there has been no response for a resolution on behalf of Fred's Tires.Final Take:As a result of Fred's Tire Discounters negligence, my vehicle is still at the Hyundai Dealership awaiting confirmation for repair. As of today, I've spent over 40 days without the services of my car. In the meantime, I've had to seek alternative transportation (vehicle rental, ride share, etc.) for my daily commute.So my advise to everyone is DO NOT have your vehicle serviced at Fred's Tire Discounters. In particular electronic brake repairs. It is obvious they do not have qualified technicians to service such vehicles. In addition, it's apparent that management does not hold them accountable for their miscues. It's sad that in 2023 a reputable establishment is not up to par with technology when it comes to modern vehicles. Even though my car is a 2011. Unbelievable!!!

We had a cold snap and three of my tires were extremely low. I stopped at a gas station and tried to pump the tires with no luck. The pump was broken. I drove down to Fred s tires and they took care of me right away. So friendly and kind.

I went to Fred s for a slow leak in one of my tires. Ended up having a screw in my tire which they pulled out and patched. Such great service. They were all very nice and helpful, especially Jackson! Would go there again for any future troubles.

Just had a master cylinder put in my 2007 Toyota at Fred's. From the minute I called to get an estimate until I picked my car up they were kind, helpful, efficient and professional. Jackson was awesome! Wish all auto repair shops were like this one. Will definitely be taking my car back for other services.

Poor communication, very very slow, i brought in one wheel just for them to mount and balance one tire that should have taken 20 min since that's what i was told on the phone, considering the tire was not attached to a vehicle so 20 minutes max and hour and 40mins later still sitting waiting for a tire to be mounted . Took the other tire to the Mexican shop down the street and was in and out in 14 minutes I would have at least given 2 stars if they would have loaded it for me but I waited for 10 minutes and had to load it myself

Let me say this. Fred R. is one of the best. I have known him since I was a child. I used to visit him with my Dad when I was a boy. He is one of the most honest men I have ever known. You will never be cheated by Fred. My family has bought so many tires from him there is no way to count them all. If you want a fair priced job then go there and see how good it can be to have someone you can trust work on your car. Jim Hill.
