I brought my car here after hearing a strange noise coming from the engine. I don t know anything about cars so I was worried that I may be taken advantage of. Thankfully, that was the opposite of what happened. I dropped my car off on Wednesday afternoon and they called me the same day to tell me what was wrong with it. They said it would take two days to fix. Sure enough by Friday midday my car was ready! The workers were kind and the work was efficient. I would highly recommend this place especially for single people with little knowledge who want to be treated fairly!

I had my transmission fluid and filter changed. Although they could not schedule me for same day, they did take me in the next morning and completed the work as they estimated for time and cost. It is nice to see a business that provides accurate estimates and meets customer expectationsService: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was without a car for almost 4 months due to the negligence of another shop. However I had zero issues with AAMCO! They diagnosed the issue and had it fixed in no time. Quick, professional, thorough. This will be my go to shop in the future!

This is a dishonest, unprofessional, and poor business. I brought in a 2018 Honda with transmission issues. They misdiagnosed the problem and then lied to me about their warranty. Not only will they not fix your vehicle, they will tell you whatever you want to hear to take your vehicle (and your money). You may think you re receiving a cheaper alternative by using their service, but in all actuality, you re just paying them to fiddle their tools around and not fix your problem.

Went to get a component on my transmission fixed. Failed to fixed the problem initially upon pick up of vehicle as it did not start. Misdiagnosed the issue and finally after 2 weeks found the issue. From there it took another week and a half to install a wiring connector which take 45 minutes. Every time I called I got the answer of oh the guy is under it working on it now only to find out they were not in fact working on it at all. I finally came around in person as I was sick of getting the run around, only to find workers just sitting around looking at facebook and other apps on their phones. Come to find out that even though they ve had the correct parts, time, and personnel, they had yet to even start. So instead of telling me this, they kept lying by saying every day for 10 days that they are working on it, should be about 4 hours Services: Transmission, Electrical

"You don't get what You pay for"To all whom it may concern,I went in for a transmission evaluation. I ended up needing a transmission. My warranty covered a majority of the cost, was suppose to of been Rebuilt.I received a used transmission with 179k miles on it with a fake 6months/6k mile warranty.I say a "Fake Warranty", because the transmission was junk along with the warranty. After 5 return visits, they finally admitted that the transmission needed to be replaced. No problem, WRONG!I received a phone call stating that they will not honor their warranty unless I PAID an additional $300.With my back against the wall.Me needing my car, I allowed them to ROB me without a gun.Wrapping this horrible dissatisfying experience up. I ended up returning with issues with this 113k mile transmission.Well, they fixed that issue. Now, I'm praying that this is the end of our relationship.Service: Transmission

Just got my car fixed by them there was a few issues with the parts they ordered at first, but they were able to get my car running again after situating that the same day. They re very friendly and determined. Also took a 7 hour drive back home and didn t have an issue. So far everything is goodService: TransmissionService: Transmission

I trusted Mr. Erwin to work on my Porsche Cheyenne truck. This was a mistake. He kept my vehicle for 4 months and still didn't fix the issue. The vehicle was driven to his shop. After paying him $2300.00, my vehicle had to be towed away from his business by my insurance in a worse condition than it was when I dropped it off. My lawyer has advised me on how to move forward.Service: Transmission

The employee's did two test runs on the vehicle . The first one at 28 miles and the second one at 24 miles which total 52 miles. I called Mr. Erwin about issues this morning. He was rude, loud and deceptive about his employee's behavior. I sent the photos I took before I left my vehicles in their care. I was disappointed with his attitudeServices: Transmission, Brakes

The technician who rebuilt the transmission on our ride was nice and seemed to be a veteran tech. I feel the company wasn't flexible enough on the prices as they charge over 50% mark up on all the parts. The only reason I went with them is because of the nation wide warranty with AAmco. I am still waiting for the transmission to settle down as it really shifts ruff going back down into 1st gear and some times hesitates to go from 1st. The tech said the computer has to re-learn all this, why? Well see!Services: Transmission, Oil change

It was horrible as soon as I got there a guy comes out and I tell him what I been hearing in my truck, he says let s drive we get in he drives bout a half mile not even that and says yeah your transmission needs a rebuild, with out even putting it on the machine to officially test it, then told me it will be around 2500 to 3000 to fix. I went to get a second opinion from a great shop called express, where they actually put it on the machine to officially test and told me my transmission was just fine so basically am I tried to scam me.

They put in a engine, some put oil all over flood mat back and front. The engine they put in had leaves under my truck. Some went in the glove department and stole tools in their also under the back seat. Broke one umbrella took the other. Took my air pressure for my tire. No my truck make a noise when you turn to the left. They didn t put spark plugs or wires and black oil inside and out of my truck

This is a very shady business. In the past, I let them replace my transmission, big mistake. The car never ran the same. I took it back recently on Saturday morning to have them check it. They said that they could not tell me what was wrong with it. I picked the car back up the following Friday and the radio was gone. There was no broken glass or anything that made it appear that someone had broken into the car. So, therefore, a staff member took it. I spoke with Erwin, the manager, and he said that he wasn't going to replace it. At first, he said that he probably knew which staff member took it but then he decided not to replace it. I will be filing a report. Stop hiring all these druggies to work on people cars and get some professional help. This is the worst business that I ever had to deal with. If you need transmission work, go to Generic. This place is pure hell.

Great work, but always busy unfortunatley. They are very knowledgable and have a very experience transmission builder who has been rebuilding transmissions for over 30 years. They also do basic maintenance and replace engine and everything in between.

Unfortunately, this rating system doesn't allow for any less stars! Horrible work! Did a horrible job! They "repaired" my transmission by replacing it with, what appears to be, a transmission they pulled out of a junk yard. This transmission has never even been cracked open... which means they did NO work to it, before installing it in my vehicle! And, they "replaced" my power steering hose by patching the same one with duct tape and zip ties! My transmission is leaking everywhere! My power steering hose is not fixed, and still leaking! In fact, this is how they fixed it.... and said that it came like this from the factory.... Erwin (store owner) said his people wouldn't have done that. Ha! What a load of BS! Because they did. I saw this hose with my owe two eyes before I dropped it off there... and it didn't look like this until I got it back. It had to have been them! Not to mention, I have things missing from the inside of my vehicle, and I have other problems with my car now, because I took it here.

I would give them less stars of I could! They took more than 40 days to fix my transmission, because, despite being a transmission place, only have one guy doing a ton of work! And, when I finally got my car back, it still wasn't fixed. They didn't even properly re-secure the front end of the car. And, I had missing parts! Now, I took it back, and had them replace the missing parts, and properly secure the front end, but it should have never left out of their garage that way! Let alone allow me to drive off with it like that. And, I'm still having problems with the transmission! I had them check it... and they say it's fine! But, it's definitely not! It's great that I have a warranty, but it's crap in my hand if I can't use it, because I don't want to take my car back somewhere that: A) says everything is fine, when it clearly isn't, and B) is going to take another 40+ days to fix (what they say they already fixed), if they decide something is actually wrong with it. What am I suppose to do? I feel like I'm standing here with crap in my hand.... don't go to this location! But, keep in mind, not all locations are like this one. The one in Fort Walton Beach, FL was great! That's why we went to this one (my husband is in the service, and we moved because his duty station changed). I just didn't realize they don't keep the same standards at each location... but, I now know. Just wish I had figured it out sooner.

Do not take your car here, no integrity! Horrible service, tried to rip me off. Supposed to have been diagnosing my car, took my transmission out without my permission. Then attempted to charge me $800 for labor I didn't authorize. When he told me the service would cost $3100, I stated that I did not want the service and would have it towed to dealership. Tried to talk me out of it and said that I would have labor charges at $110 an hour. When asked how long it took to get the transmission out of my GMC Acadia without my permission he said it took about 3 hours. Do the math! Then decided that he would not release my truck until the $800 was paid. Taking them to court.

This AAmco is a truly honest, professional, knowledgeable transmission shop dedicated to serving their customersThey spent time diagnosing my F-250 truck and determined the problem was NOT the transmission but within the exhaust system.Honesty and serving their customers.I recommend this transmission shop to all.

Battery Jacked! !!I left my car there to get repairs for the second time because they didn't fix it right the first time. When I came to pick up my car my doors were unlocked and my car didn't start. l lifted the hood and my BATTERY GOT STOLEN! They didn't know how to explain themselves nor even give me a new battery. I got no military discount what so ever. I recommend anything besides AAMCO. Terrible service.

I give it one star because you can't give it zero. Thought I was getting a good deal but after the fact missing dust cover that was on transmission before and over 2 qts low on transmission fluid after new torque converter. Then try getting a spark plug change which was over priced to begin with. Dropped off on a Tuesday tech was scared he may beak a plug so he stopped. Was promised it would be done the next day and the next. After 3 days and still not a wrench turned picked up the truck took it to ford and 4 hours later plugs changed good to go. And none broke! If you care about your car don't go here.

I took my truck there in 2012 to get the transmission serviced and brakes put on. They charged me for resurfacing my rotors and we paid for the lifetime warranty for the brakes. When we left there the brakes were making a scrubbing noise and we took the truck back straight away. They checked it again and could find nothing wrong. Waited abt 3 months took it back because vehicle still making the noise. Could supposedly find nothing wrong. Took it back again... On this trip the mechanics took my vehicle for a 45 minute ride, and again told me nothing was wrong. Then a few days later my son asks me what I hit with my bumper that was white. I had not hit anything, and I am the only one that drives my vehicle, except for when the mechanics were gone in the vehicle for 45 minutes. So I take it to a different Aamco... in Macon. He tells me I need New rotors because the brakes have warn grooves into the rotor. Tells me I should have heard a noise warning me of problems with the brakes. Well, How can I hear a noise if there is a brake problem, when the brakes have been making sounds ever since they were first put on. He has no answers for that. Told me I needed back rotors on both sides, and brakes. Wanted to charge me $100/rotor, plus labor, and then of course the brake pads would be free.. although I am sure they would charge me for the labor for that as well...I am very particular about my truck, she is my baby!!! So.. will not ever take her back to this company ever again..PERIOD! Hubby researched and got me 4 rotors and 2 sets of brakes for front and back for less than he wanted to charge me for just the rotors. $136.57. Then my son and hubby put the back ones on. For some reason they could not get the front rotors off.... which means the Columbus Aamco charged me for resurfacing rotors that they never even took off the vehicle... RIPOFF big time!!

I'll never use this business again. They've had my car since August 11th to fix my turbo and still no car as of August 21st. This is ridiculous! Give me car. Update: It's now October 7th and still no car

I really didn't want to go to Aamco after the experience my friend had with the company. I had no choice because my transmission needed to be replace and this the only company my car dealership deals with. They did fix my car in a timely manner but once I got my car back all of a sudden my car have a whistling noise. My car never made this noise befor . I was told to bring my car back but I didn't. Only because this place is a scam to me. They will tell me something needs to be replace when I know it doesn't if you have someone else to being your vehicle please do and not to Aamco. They really need new mechanics. .

First of all.. Avoid drive time. If you did buy from them I hope you got warranty . Silver rock contracts with this shady AAMCO. They swapped out my engine because of a blown head gasket. I got it back Friday. It sat I'm the yard all weekend. Monday I drove it to ATL and it was blowing oil. So I called them. I was told to take it to The store in douglasville.. That he would call and tell him I'm on my way. Nope no call. I called earnest and let him know I was there, I'll call them now. Nope still no call. They had an engine tech check it out, he refilled my oil. I called again.. He was telling me to tell them this and that. I said YOU CALL so I don't have to relay. Nope.. So 2 days later they pick up my car from my house. Wednesday evening.. I get a call yesterday to come pick it up. I get up there today and uhem.. My car isn't ready.. I was going to have them rebuild an engine and a transmission on our vw. No way in hell.. Stay away. There's also scratches that I don't know where they came from.
