This was my second time getting work done here and I really had a great experience! Lisa was an amazing customer service rep and very knowledgeable! Thank you to the mechanic s for finding the problem and fixing it in such a timely manor!!

Tuesday 10/24/23 I took a 2015 Altima with only 70k miles into A Carb Auto Care. At random times white smoke comes from the exhaust and it depletes oil every 2 months. I worked with the owner, and mentioned to him the dealership said there is a lot of slug and it needs a complete engine flush and possible head gasket replacement. A Carb Auto did that job for much less than the dealership and confirmed no head gasket issue and was quick and courteous. I would highly recommend folks to take their car to this establishment for their auto care needs.

I had been referred to this auto shop by an Uber driver, and let me tell you, he was right! They got my car up and running the same day! And they recommend a tow company who is just as quick and low priced. You will get quality work done for your money.

I took my 1967 GMC C15 here around a year ago. After explaining to Mr. Jimmy what I had done to it, he quickly brought the vehicle in (that day). After running diagnostics for two days and pulling the engine (Chevy 350 carbureted) to see what was wrong with it. He noticed a pin hole in the engine block and several other issues wrong with the engine. This is the only shop in Columbus that's truly honest owner and honest mechanics. I have went to 5 other mechanic shops that only made things worse and I would have to take in my truck several times to the issues fixed. If you want your antique/classic/new car needs fixed in a timely and professional manner. Take your vehicle here. I will not go anywhere else in Columbus for my vehicle needs. I sincerely appreciate the efforts, professionalism, hard work, and grit of the employees there. They take their time and make sure it is done correct the first time. I have a lot of confidence that A Carb is being honest with me. I think everyone can agree that s very important in choosing a mechanic. Price for service is reasonable. Will not take my cars anywhere else to get diagnosed or repaired. I've been going here for roughly 4/5 years and the quality, honesty and integrity behind the work they have done for us is something we value.Jimmy and his staff quote accurate timelines and prices. The customer service experienced over the phone is great!!Absolutely recommend this place to everyone that has an issue with their car/truck/jeep

I stopped by to see if I could have a piece hanging from under my car repaired. I told Jimmy that it happened after I used the under car rinse option at a carwash. He explained the damage to me and said I would have to visit the dealership for a permanent fix but he bolted it up for me temporarily. I was very appreciative! He also gave me suggestions for my headlights & I will definitely be returning to get them fixed!

Honesty and Quality!! Jimmy and his crew replaced my son's exhaust manifolds and upgraded his exhaust. Never tried to upsale anything and kept us updated throughout the entire process! They have earned my return business!! I highly recommend!! Thank you Jimmy and Phillip!

Jimmy and the team were some of the best / most helpful and knowledgeable shops I've worked with. I brought in my classic car for a total engine eval and replacement. Jimmy helped me resource, ship and install a new engine and get it running better than before. Will return for future work and would highly recommend.

The company is 100 % awesome! Mr. Jimmy was a great man. He was very honest with us about what was wrong with our truck he came and picked it up and had it fixed with in 24 hours. He is about his business and i highly recommend anyone take your vehicle to him for anything. We will stick with him for now on. I just want to say im so thankful for this place.

I took My 1984 Buick Lesabre Limited there to get duals exhaust done on it and well it was hitting on the rear control arm because they ran both pipes thru the right side above the axle! they also gave me a muffler with two outlets instead of two independent mufflers for a true dual exhaust! I took it back I guess that when they cut the slot into my trailing arm to try and prevent it from hitting as I went down the road! I called them again because I couldn't drive the car because it was hitting on hard on the car ! they told me to bring it in and leave it but when I got there they ask if I expected it back that same day and I said yes well they said I couldn't get it back that day I had to leave it, so why bring it in if they wont get to it that day! they charged me 350 dollars for this mess and didn't have change for the 360 i had either! They told me I couldn't have duals because of the cross over pipes coming from my exhaust manifold too!Well 320.00 dollars later I went to another shop who did it true duals ran so clean it looked factory and got it back that same day they said I couldn't get it from them until tomorrow! I went a whole month not being able to drive my car because they just threw something under my car! then refused to fix it!Service: Exhaust

I took my 1967 GMC C15 here to upgrade my current engine. The owner (Mr.Jimmy) called me 3 days later stating the engine had a crack in it. I appreciated the call and I came to verify the crack as well as a lifter collapsing, the cam lobe almost destroyed and a bent push rod. I gotta hold of jasper engines while we waited for the answer for them to pick up. He is the most knowledgeable mechanic when it comes to antiques. I would 100 percent bring my vehicle back for any other repairs. He is a good guy as well as his employees. All of his employees I trusted working on my truck. They all had oil stained hands and each one of them love their job from the other two personnel of whom I talked to. I hope Mr. Jimmy sees this and gets a smile on his face from a very appreciative customer.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Muffler fell down. Welded back on, for a reasonable price. Great customer service, very friendly. Job done in 30mins. Definitely recommend this business. I'm taking my car back for brake service.

I brought my Camaro in because the muffler was loud and I thought it needed to be welded. Turned out to be just some loose bolts. They tightened them and charged a very reasonable price. The car sounds great. Loved the excellent and friendly service. The location is pretty convenient as well on Veteran's Parkway close to the airport.

My first visit to A1 on recommendation of a friend was over 10 years ago. The repaired my car and when I came to pick it up, the charge was actually lower than their pre-repair estimate. Excellent mechanics and knowledgeable about the entire car. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you, Jimmy!!

This has to be the worst exhaust shop in Columbus, Ga. I brought my vehicle in to have a custom exhaust put on it. What I got was pure butchery. The welds were not complete so the exhaust leaked everywhere it was connected, the bends were not that great and sat below the frame. The exhaust rattled from day one and was rubbing on the transmission, frame, and shock. I do not recommend using this shop at all. You think your getting a great deal when you aren't.

This review is long overdue. I have two vehicles and they've both had maintenance/repair services through A-Carburetor. Our relationship started a little over a year ago (Yes- I said relationship). Jimmy and his staff have demonstrated great service, great value, and solid knowledge when it comes to vehicle preventive maintenance and/or major repairs- so Yeah, this is a relationship forged through trust and hard work. Jimmy is not just a mechanic he's a Specialized Technician in Automotive Repairs (S.T.A.R.)!Services: Transmission, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Air conditioning, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Bryan, the guy that does the exhaust is the definition of perfection. Both exhaust, front to rear, are level (an actual level was used).They sound great and they look great.I also had a driveshaft installed and brake pads put on, all of which were done THE RIGHT way.Would highly recommend. Ask for him by name if you want your work done the right way. Also, very cost efficient. Much less than everywhere else. That's a fact.

Best and most honest mechanics I've met in Columbus. I've been with them for years after a friend suggested them and I've never regretted it. I've never felt scammed or ripped off by them, and service has always been great and friendly. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic.

This place is awesome! I was recommended A-carburetor by a tow truck driver that came to pick up my car that wouldn t start. They don t try to up sell you and tell you what you really need. They work quickly and have great prices; I ll definitely be back for all my automotive needs.

Ran out of gas just at their shop. Woman alone with dog.105 degrees with no power steering and not from Columbus. Gentleman at shop honorably stepped up and helped push truck into a parking spot, let me borrow a gas can and the when I got back with gas, offered to help put it in and offered both me and my dog cold water. Good people! Thank you!

This is a real deal honest mechanic. I took my truck over at the advice of PTAP when they couldn't fit me in their schedule. They found the problem and were able to get it fixed in a few hours.
