AVOID!!!! Took my van in for repair, called and said it was ready quoted me a price , when I went to pick it up it was double then they called to refund me part of the money that they misdiagnosed it, drove it home and even more damage, then when I took it back the next day they charged me even more money to fix their mess up. And claimed that it was something else they misdiagnosed. Total scammers not trustworthy at all. And they don t call to tell you what the problem is, they just do the work then tell you it s a crazy price. Bad bad business.

Absolutely the worst place to take your vehicle say they misdiagnosed my issue refunded part of my money, but ended up messing up more of my vehicle that they charged me $700 more dollars to fix. Then claimed it was something else they misdiagnosed. And they just do over priced work and don t call you to tell you what the cost will be to fix it. Worst place in habersham to take your vehicle. Avoid at all cost. DO NOT TAKE your vehicle to this place. Having to get an attorney just to get this mess sorted out.

Very fair, fast, and friendly. My brakes metal on metal, got me in and out the same day for a fair price. Felt like I was dealing with a family member. Did what needed to be done, without trying to do anything more just to be able to charge more.

My wife and myself were visiting from North Carolina, and the starter went out in our vehicle. Called and talked to Lawrence and within a day and a half the vehicle was fixed at a reasonable price. I am appalled at the kind of treatment I was given by Cap'n Auto Service. First, he wasn't certain what the problem was but he narrowed it down to two different parts. He said that he wasn't going to order the parts but WE had to and then he would replace them. After the truck sat in his lot for almost two weeks someone stole the catalytic converter out of it. Once we were finally able to get the part to him he said it wouldn't fit and he couldn't fix it. When we went to pick up our vehicle he demanded we pay him for it! He had not done anything to it but waste our time. On top of that he wasn't even apologetic but rather rude and demanding, as though we had wasted his time. He is a shoddy mechanic and poor businessman. There are plenty of other auto mechanics in the area, I would not recommend him to anyone for anything.Service: Brakes

Can I post 0 stars? I have never had a worse experience at an auto shop.I brought my truck in asking them to fix the brakes. They said they couldn't figure out what was wrong with the brakes, and told me that they didn't have time to order parts, so if I wanted them fixed, I'd have to order my own parts. I order the parts I was told to order, and then they still couldn't fix the brakes. When I came to pick the truck up, they tried to charge me a bogus diagnostic fee, even though they hadn't done any work. Total crooks!Service: Brakes

We took our van into this place to have the alternator checked. It was close to the end of the day, so they couldn't check the alternator until the following day. At the time, the gentleman at the counter said that it would be checked first thing in the morning and that it could be replaced by the end of the next day. We made it clear that we wanted the alternator checked - nothing more and nothing less. We have a mechanic that we trust and we were only using this place because the car had died and wouldn't move without being charged. We still hadn't heard anything around lunch time the following day, so we called to check on the progress of the repair. They still hadn't checked the alternator. This was something that could have been done in a matter of minutes if we had been at the nearbye autozone. I understand that this place does it differently, but it was frustrating that they didn't attempt to follow the timeframe that they gave us. When we called, we were told that they would check the alternator immediately after they finished eating lunch. They finally called sometime between 1:00 and 2:00.I won't go into all of the details, but we had them complete the repair - something that I could have done myself but didn't because I needed the van to be working and I didn't have time to fix it. I won't go into all of the details, but they gave several time lines and each one passed without any work being done. We had to call a few times and each time we were told they would get to it in a few minutes. We basically had to beg for a realistic timeline so that we could figure out how to get our kids where they needed to go without our van. It was only after that that they finally removed the alternator so that we could exchange it under the autozone warranty. The entire process made us miss working with our normal mechanic who always provides fairly accurate timelines and communicated promptly about unforseseen issues. If it had just been the poor communication, we probably wouldn't have bothered leaving this review. The frustrating part came when we were charged for a repair that we hadn't authorized. We took the car into the shop to have the alternator checked and replaced. Without asking, they replaced the terminal end of the positive battery cable. We had just replaced the part ourselves with a part that was functional. They replaced it because it was "too small." We hadn't had a single issue with the terminal that we had installed, so it was very frustrating that they replaced it without asking. We were charged $30 (plus the cost of the part) for the replacement. We had already done the difficult part of stripping the wires, so we could have replaced the terminal end ourselves in less than 5 minutes. To charge us $30 for five or so minutes of unauthorized work was absurd and unforgivable. I've never taken a vehicle into a mechanic and been charged for work that I didn't request before, so I was so frustrated about the entire situation. The van also smelled like cigarette smoke for quite a while after we picked it up. We had to leave things open for a while to air it out.I gave two stars because the repair that we requested seems to have been done correctly. The communication issues/fixing something that we didn't ask to have fixed keep me from rating this place any higher.

I can't brag enough on Cap'n Auto. Lawrence had a truck here in less than 30 minutes to pick up our car that sat in the yard for 5 months without running. Communication was great! He called to update us and let us know what needed to be done and within 2 days, we were up and running like a top! Reliable, honest folks. I don't think you could do better.

My husband and I have always taken our vehicles to Cap'n Auto for everything. They are an Awesome group of Christian guy's that know what they are doing. Very Professional and they even take time to show me exactly what they did and explain it in detail so I will understand. Being a female, that goes a LONG way. They never overcharge either, they are there to make a honest living and to treat their customers with respect and just like family. Lawrence, the Owner is a Great asset to this community. We need more honest businessmen like him for people to count on. He took over the business from his Father and still continues today with Honesty, Intergy and putting God First. By doing this, his employers and customers receive the very best. !!!! I would recommend him and his mechanics to anyone for any job, little or big !!! Sincerely, Linda and Bill Johnson

Great folks to let work on your vehicle! The mechanic that worked on my car stayed late, on a Friday, to finish it up, after we had to wait on an extra part to get there. An extra thank you to Jamie (The Mechanic)!!

This is a very honest reasonable priced auto shop. They do great work in timely matter. Would definitely recommend them especially to women as they don't try to take advantage of you about what is wrong with your vehicle.

Took my car there on a Tuesday and told them what's wrong and that I need to have it fixed by the end of the week. Not heard back from them till when I called them on Friday. They told me they hadn't had a chance to look at it, but will do it today (Friday). Got a call on MONDAY that they cannot fix it til the end of the day. They have NO motivation of doing anything. Would not bring any of my 5 cars EVER there again. Would not recommend them to anybody.

Terrible business. I left my truck there for weeks waiting on a call that my problem had been fixed. Instead I got a call from the sheriff that the catalytic converter had been stolen off of my truck. Apparently Capn can't even keep your truck safe while he's not fixing it for weeks at a time.

Don't think one can find a more high-integrity, honest, and fairly-priced repair place than this. I highly recommend. Shop around, get quotes, then compare. Cap'n Auto's the best. Fast turn around. Nice guys. What more does one want?!?

These guys probably got over 100 years of experience between two of em and it shows. They were straight up with me. Even took me to the shop to show the problems I had. Thank God it was just the tires. I thought I needed over a grand of work done. Shoot they got those tires on and down the dusty trail I went.
