We used to rely on Richard's Automotive Repair for our cars maintenance needs. However, my last experience with them was very disappointing. My daughter brought her car in for a noise from the front of the car. She was informed she needed all four wheels brake pads replaced as well as the rotors worked on, to the tune of several hundreds of dollars. Fortunately, it took them all day to give us an estimate, so they ran out of time. The next day we took her car to Cherokee Tire, and they diagnosed it as ONLY needing front brake pads. This resulted in saving us several hundreds, and needless to say we learned allot about the new operators of Richard's Automotive. I would say they behaved less than honest in this case. I give them two stars and that is probably one to many.As a brief follow up, and as a response, I can confidently say we question your integrity. Furthermore, this proposed repair was only a few months ago, not a year as you re suggesting. You are correct, we have a choice in where to get service, and your place is not one we will use.

Richard's Automotive have been my mechanic for over a year. From oil change, brakes, tires, radiator and few other items. They are efficient, price conscious and a friendly, family business of the community.I highly recommend using Richard's for all your automotive needs!

I took my shop in there for fixing up a oil leak. Two weeks later I got my truck back and after two days of driving it was leaking oil still and that is what I put it in there for.

Jim and Megan were so helpful and friendly. They went the extra mile for me.They took care of a problem with my oil pan gasket that day because I was going out of town and needed it done before then.I went to them because I wanted a family owned company and someone who gave you awarranty. . I saw reviews and everyone said how well they were treated and the price they quoted me was very reasonable. I would tell anyone with car problems to check them out.

Many Thanks to Bob Brandsma for directing me to Richard s Automotive, as I needed to replace all 4 tires on my vehicle. Jim Godwin, the manager, was very accommodating re: fitting me into his busy schedule. Thanks as well to Jim s wife, Megan, who gave me a short ride until my vehicle was serviced. Additionally, the mechanic worked efficiently and promptly and mounted all 4 tires just at the 5pm closing time. Many Thanks to the entire Richard s Automotive Team ! Richard's Auto Repair has been my trusted "go to" shop for many of my vehicles preventive maintenance or repair needs since moving to the area in 2015. They are trustworthy, courteous and very fairly priced. I can typically get my car in for service within a day or two of calling...sometimes the same day. I highly recommend them!

When I moved to the area, I saw Richard's and we decided to give him a chance as I had no recommendation for anyone. I got good service at good rates. I've taken my car in to fix a specific item, after test drive or diagnosis, he will call me and tell me that what I wanted fixed wasn't broken but a sensor was off or what I assumed was broken, wasn't broken but another piece was screwy. I always get a phone call and a quote before any work begins. Very professional, very respectful.

I was very very pleased with my experience. Went in fully expecting a alternator belt replacement and power steering pump replacement. Rather than selling me on what I thought was the issue, they quickly resolved it with a bolt on my alternator being tightened, and didn't try to upcharge me for the full replacement and repair I expected. That level of honesty to fix the issue like that without any attempt to upcharge will make me a long term customer here for sure.

My husband and I were looking to buy a minivan for our family of 5. We decided to take it to Richard's because it's what a family member recommended after their car was in an accident. Our last minivan was always breaking down after we bought it so we wanted to be safe and get it looked at by a professional before we bought another one. We were told that there was a serpentine belt that needed replaced, there was a SIZABLE leak in the transmission line, the front bumper had been replaced, alone with a few other things. We were quoted these things and the seller agreed to lower the price so we would get these things fixed. Not even a day later the check engine light came on. We took it to autozone. The code that popped up had nothing to do with any of the things they mentioned. We took it somewhere else because they missed that problem and we are not trusting these guys. Spark plugs needed to be replaced, a sensor, and the radiator needed to be flushed. It was full of sludge. We never mentioned any of the other problems until they had her fixed. They looked at the "problems" and they were puzzled. None of these things needed fixed and the transmission fluid wasn't leaking AT ALL! My family can't afford to just throw away money. We ended up paying them $100 to LIE to us! I'm curious if they even looked at it all all because they missed the things that NEEDED to be fixed. I'm FURIOUS! I don't trust these guy's at all.

I got a recommendation on Nextdoor for this auto repair shop. The reviews were excellent.Quick sevice, fair prices and exceptional customer service! They are honest and give you all your cost before they begin the work...no surprises at the end. The owner even gave me a ride home...now that's service! Will definitely use them going forward.Great job to the team!

Little over a year ago I took my Nissna Murano in to get a valve cover leak repaired I took it not once but twice after the repairs it kept leaking oil the bill was over 600 dollars I live 45 mins North so scheduling it to come back again was hard. Today the new 30 plus year mechanic working on it came in to tell me the Valve covers were never replaced. The warranty is up on Richards work so now I am having to pay for the work to be done again for it was not done or not done properly. Richard is a great man always kind but the guy under him at the time had a integrity problem.

Went in for diagnostics and they discovered the issue with my vehicle like the professionals they are and They gave me sound advice. Im a DIY kind of person but i wouldnt hesitate to take my vehicles to this shop again!

I have three cars that have been serviced and repaired by Richard's since we moved to Canton, one of the cars needed a new transmission of which they replaced with a older transmission for about $1,700.00 it came with a 6 month 6K mile warranty, of course it needed repair after 8 months, this is not my reason for the not so positive review, my gripe is that the new repair was quoted over the phone for $458.00, I told them to move forward with the repair and we would pick it up later that evening, when we turned up we were given a bill for $571.00, when we asked why the difference we were told to pay it and that we would get a phone call from Richard's sister, the lady that called me back said she forgot to add transmission fluid and the gasket to the original quote and would not budge on the bill, sorry but a quote is a quote, so for just over $100 you just lost a regular customer, disappointing service

Caught my truck on fire tryed hiding it when i confronted him he said he dident thank it was that bad took my $4000.0 00 before i found out very dishonest got a bid to fix damage $8000.00 to $10.000.00 to fix burned wireing and burned n melted parts stay away
