Would recommend G&S for any repair. They worked on both my 1984 chevy and my 2004 lancer. Very knowledgeable and honest

I had my truck in for a leaking rear differential and they were quick to get me taken care of.Taylor and James were very friendly and helpful every time I called with a question or when I showed up minutes before closing time.Finding a good mechanic can be difficult nowadays, but it's even harder to find an honest one. The people here at G & S are awesome!

They told us to bring our car in on a Thursday and didn t bother to look at it until Tuesday when my husband called asking about it. First time here to service my daughters jeep from my neighbors recommendation. The staff was super nice/honest and didn t even charge me for a minor repair which they could ve taken advantage of. I will definitely be making this my go to shop for not only my daughters jeep, but for the rest of the vehicles in our household.

Best place in Canton by far. Maybe in the state of Georgia.. They are so fair and do such good work whenever they have to add something additional I don't even have him bother call me I just tell him to go ahead and do it because I know I'm gonna get the best price and the best service from James. If you go anywhere else you deserve the price you get.

This company is great! They staff is Amazing, they will go above and beyond to help you. I m a single professional and they looked out for me when I wasn t sure if my car was okay from another company. They doubled checked everything with no problem. Mark is a Angel he welcomes you with open arms. The owners are unmatched they are professional sweet and give good advice and knowledgeable about the service e they provide. I hate doing this. I had over 1600$ in car repair bills at G and S in Canton last week. Both times I left the lot the same problem happened immediately. I would STRONGLY advice against these guys. Literally hwy robbery. 1600 is a ton of money to have spent and still have the check engine light on along with the same issues when you leave. Asked for any type of refund and was told best I can do is maybe tale off the labor when we do figure out what s wrong .Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Finding a quality and honest Mechanic Service anywhere is tough but I have found it. Finally at age 54. These guys are the only place I recommend in all of Cherokee County. They don't waste time and are straight forward on what is needed and the costs involved. Not only saved some money but saved a ton of aggravation.Service: Air conditioningService: Air conditioning

This is the most honest mechanic I have ever been to. This was my second time using them and once again it was a great experience. They are 100% reasonably priced compared to everyone else. My first experience they were $200 cheaper than a competitor. This time $100. They lived up to all their promises both times and had my vehicle ready on time. They exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them.

TEMPORARY FIX In 2018, the check engine light came on in my 2006 Tacoma. Took it to Toyota and was priced >$3k for a new catalytic converter. This shop came HIGHLY recommended through a family member that worked at a dealership, which recommends this shop to their costumers for muffler work. Price was fair for the fix, check engine light was off.One month later, check engine light is back on. Again a trip to Toyota where I was told the aftermarket converter put on from G&S had a leaking weld. Called their shop to organize a fix. Being understanding that these things happen, I was met with the owners daughter that continued to belittle my claims of their poor work needing attention. She continued to say that the dealership was wrong, their work is great and refuted my claims. I went to G&S and had the weld fixed, to my face I was told I was wrong. Slightly different tone when I picked it up, but not apologetic.Now, in 2020, my truck has a gargling noise with check engine light. Took it to Toyota priced >$3k to replace the catalytic converter G&S put on. Broken weld. Took it to another muffler shop this time, where I am getting charged $750 to fix this weld. But get this, G&S had neglected to use a flange, welding everything together instead. Which is where this weld failed. This shop is installing the required flange and fixing the work G&S failed at two years ago, twice.Overall, these other reviews must be from people as they leave the shop. In the next coming months or years they will likely be disappointed in G&S. They will likely face an arrogant shop that is over confident in their mediocre work.

These guys always get us in pretty quick and can take care of almost everything. Their pricing is on point and competitive with other shops. Cheaper on many things as well.

You rarely find honest people like these. I went there to get the check-engine light fixed (it sarted glowing) for my Ford. They said there is no problem in the car, and didn't even charge me. When my manager said these are some really genuine people, I didn't really believe him. After visiting them, my opinion completely changed. I can only show my gratitude by recommending them to others who have issues with their cars new or old.

Just got a x pipe and free flow cats put on my 1997 mustang GT. James was excellent to work with and has a great staff to get things done quick. Now my girlfriend is getting a full break job done in her suv at G&S automotive. I drove from Louisiana to Canton to visit a friend and after I arrived my car started overheating driving around town. I took it into G & S to have them look at it and let me know what was going on. They got to it extremely quickly and told me that they couldn't find any issues with the car and told me older cars like mine after a long trip tend to act up sometimes. I was very wary about bringing it to a shop I was not familiar with but Don (the mechanic who looked at my car) was very honest and helpful. They could have easily told me something was wrong with the car even though there wasn't. It is rare to find honest mechanics these days and when you do it's really nice and refreshing. They did not even charge me for looking at the car which is unheard of these days. I HIGHLY recommend this shop to anyone who needs auto work done. These guys are great and do a five star job!!

Don is the most honest stand up mechanic I have ever had work on my car. He advised me that I did not, in fact need new front brakes as I had another 20k miles on them. The dealership told me my brakes were dangerous and I needed to let them replace them right away. As a single mom Don always advises the most cost effective or temp solution. Would def recommend to anyone!

I am so pleased with G & S. I was told to use them about 4 or 5 years ago. I did and they were fair and honest with me then and since then. I moved to Acworth and went somewhere else recently, that place did NOT treat me fair, over charged me and then another place near G & S gave me an astronomical price on repairs needed. Went back to G & S they not only let me know some of the repairs were not absolutely needed right away and they repaired what needed to be reasonably! I will always bring my business to them and I appreciate their being a honest reputable company in a world of many that are not. Great folks there!DWF raising teens on a very tight budget thanks you tremendously!

I had a list of items for my 20 year old truck I wanted fixed. They got it all done in a week but the driver heated seat but that was because I didn't want to pay what it would have cost (plus my wife is the one who wants her side to work). They even replaced, free of charge, my front dash cover when clips broke when trying to remove it and didn't give me any trouble or excuse about it being so old. This isn't the shop it once was unfortunately. Brought a truck in twice: once, to repair leaks, and another time, to fix a stall when warm issue. After nearly $2K, the truck still leaks and it still stalls when warm. A lot of other things done, and the truck does run a little better, but the presenting issues were not repaired. Time to find another shop.

Went in this morning for a quote on a flowmaster, ended up leaving my truck there. Got it back a few hours later and I m very happy with the way it sounds and looks. Glad I took their advice!!!Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust
