We traded up to a newer car and had the best experience at Prater Ford! This is the second vehicle we've bought from Brian Law and I can't recommend him highly enough. At no time in the process did we feel pressured and they treated us with integrity. Highly recommend.

From buying the car to scheduled maintenance Prater Fords staff has been honest and very helpful. Any time I have questions about the computer settings they take the time to show me or talk me through it, I appreciate that very much. Based on my experiences I highly recommend this dealership and service department.

I purchased a $78k Ford F250 Tremor from Prater Ford. Shortly after, the vehicle leaked water, the gps stopped working, 911 assist stopped working, and the Ford Pass application would not communicate with the truck. They worked on my Truck 4 different times for a total of 182 days and did not repair a single issue. My floor mats were stolen, they reimburse me for new ones. I still have all the original issues with the vehicle. They broke a trim piece and had to removed the back window to repair it. I was patent and understanding throughout the process. Ford reimburse me for 1 payment. Their only solution is for me to continue to pay $1,180 a month and let them continue working on it. Ford Corporate told me not to take the truck back there because it is obvious they don't know how to repair it. It's not like there is one problem they struggle with... they can not fix anything on the truck. Jim Prater himself promised me that he would fix my truck. He failed and will not take care of me as a customer of Prater Ford. I asked him what he would offer me for the truck and he told me that he didn't work in that department. What a cop out! They ONLY thing good about this dealership is Roberta Grub. She is professional and understanding.... If only she could work on Trucks! I don't recommend buying a vehicle here. Jim Prater lied to me and will not stand behind the vehicles he sells. They told me my truck was repaired. I got in it, started it up, and it immediately told me 911 assist doesn't work, take you vehicle to the dealer for service, the gps didn't work and the floor board was wet. Horrible quality... anyone could have got in the truck and seen that it wasn't repaired (see photos). Waisted my time. I reached out to Prater prior to writing this review. I am a unhappy/frustrated customer.

Had a 1:00 appointment. Dropped the truck at 12:20. Went to pick it up at 5 and the truck hadn't moved! They tried to take it in after I'd been there 20 minutes, but I said NO. Won't be back. No call to explain why. No apology, no NOTHING. I've used Prater Ford, where I purchased my truck, for 45+ years, but NO more. Looking elsewhere.

Service was great and got my vehicle back in a timely manner. I just wish they would have told me that they did not fix the issue. I told them whenever I backed up, my car made a bad squeaking noise. They said they fixed it, but it still makes that noise.

I couldn't have asked for better treatment than what I received at Prater Ford. From my car breaking down in their parking lot, to being helped by Greg in the Service Dept. He was knowledgeable, understanding and compassionate with me. It was hard to give up my Escape after caring for it for over 8 years.I will definitely go to and recommend Prater Ford in the future

Just recently purchased a 2022 Ford Explorer from Prater Ford. Dealership was wonderful to work with and made the process of purchasing easy and understandable. Great bunch of people to purchase your new or used vehicle from. Go by the dealership and see for yourself, you won't be disappointed!

This review is ONLY for the Service department because that was who I dealt with. I purchased an expedition at a different dealership and needed someone to look at something with the transmission so I needed to bring it to Prater since they had a Ford transmission tech per our warranty. I made an appointment for them to look at the transmission and a step bar issue. We discussed on the phone that the appointment was for them to look at the vehicle (1-2 hrs), see what needed to be done, order the parts, and then I can schedule to bring it back. I go to my appointment and they say I need to leave it for 3 days or so. I explained what I was told on the phone and they said that they offer a courtesy ride if it s within 20 miles. Of course I live over 20 miles. They look at the issue and make an adjustment to the transmission and don t do anything for the step bar. They say I m in a monitoring phase and to let them know if it happens again. Well shocker it still is acting up intermittently. I make ANOTHER appointment to bring my car up (40 min one way and have to arrange child care) and they say they cleaned some debris out and lubricated it. I get home and it immediately acts up again. When I call back they say they can look at it again but not sure what the actual problem is and there is nothing on the tech forum board online. They said if they start replacing parts that are deemed good Ford will back charge them. Sooooo I ve paid my deductible on my warranty and I m still left with an automatic step bar that works when it wants. I wouldn t recommend using their service department. I had to fight to get answers and was made to feel like I was an inconvenience when I went to them for help.

Prater Ford has done a great job in servicing my vehicle. They have also replaced a part that was under warranty. They do a good job of scheduling my appointments and being ready for my car when I arrive. My experience with Prater Ford at this time has been very good.

My sister in-law and I were traveling to Florida from Illinois and did not plan on having any issues with our vehicle along the way, but we noticed a strange sound coming from the rear tires/brakes when we stopped in Calhoun GA for breakfast. Looked up the nearest Ford dealership and Prater Ford was less than a mile away. We were greeted with three employees in the service department who said that they would take a look at it and let us know what the issue was. Within 10 minutes they told us that our rear brakes were metal on metal and that they would not recommend us leaving without new ones. They said that they could get it fixed right away and have us back on the road before noon. They did exactly what they said they would do and got us back on the road before noon!!! God lead us to the right place at the right time and we made it to our destination safely!! Thank you Prator Ford for the excellent service and taking such good care of us as we were traveling through. May God bless you all for your kindness and expertise!!

I have reviewed Prater Ford positively in the past, but I admit that recently I was less than satisfied with their service. So, I left a very negative review after that.It took them a while to get their act together, but in the end they completed the service to my F150 and I'm happy now.

My wife and I are planning on adding another EV and stopped by Prater Ford to test drive the Mach-E. Collin greeted us and was excellent. He allowed us to take an extended test drive with no pressure to buy and we liked him immediately. We are still test driving other EV makes, but if we decide on the Ford, there isn't a better place to buy one.

The best Ford dealer in NW GA. They do a great job in the service department. Talked to Greg and scheduled an appointment for a recall on my car. Let them know I had another appointment this afternoon that I needed to be at. Appointment scheduled for 2 pm. Arrived at 1:55 pm and waited for it to be completed. He assured me it wouldn't take that long and true to his word I was out by 3:10. Plenty of time to make my other commitments. Thanks for always doing a great job. Thanks Greg.

PRATER FORD IS THE BEST! I tried for 4 1/2 years with a warranty to get work done from Mt. View they were horrible. Prater Ford took my truck had it a few days and fixed everything the first time. They listen and do not take advantage of people. PRATER FORD IS AWESOME!!!!!

So my son was driving through Calhoun on his way to Florida. His van quit on him, so we tow it to Prater Ford, not knowing what to expect.Let me just say, Greg, Jade and the entire service staff were amazing to deal with and got my boy back on the road at a very reasonable price. We couldn't be more thankful to Prater and the fine people that work there.An amazing experience and we highly recommend Prater Ford...Thanks again!

Flew several hours to buy a car that was supposedly clean tittle, when I got there it had been clear that the car had been in some sort of accident and that it was being covered up. The headlights had hot glue on them and the bumper was popping out. When I spoke to them about it they offered me a voucher for $100 when in reality there was a few thousand dollars worth of damage to this vehicle. Then the older gentleman offered to cut me a check for the cost of the headlights and went inside only to come out and say he couldn't do it because they were to expensive. This left me stranded thousands of miles away from home with no way of getting back and they did not even offer to pay for a flight home after trying to scam me. I do not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Small town vibe. Service seems busy and that s okay. I enjoy the selection in the lot, they always seem to have a few mustangs to look at.The owner and his son are always there.

Prater Ford went above and beyond for me recently. I was traveling through headed to Florida when my F150 Raptor broke down. What could have been a vacation stopper ended up just being a few hour delay. Grateful for the folks at Prater Ford!

Well it is time to give my latest review of my service visit. I posted three reviews in the past that reflected excellent service of this establishment. Please be mindful that Prater Ford is still awesome thus why I still gave it 5 stars but, I will elaborate on my experience further. When I brought in my 2011 Ranger I was approached by a representative named Trey. I explained the situation of what was wrong and he wrote up the ticket and I also explained that this would fall under my extended warranty. This is when things went out of control. The first thing was the way he wrote the problem up the technician only assumed part of the problem even though I made very sure that I covered all the information that was needed. Then came the warranty situation he stating I had no such warranty. This when I had to get Greg and Jim involved. They took it upon themselves to rectify what Trey could not remotely recover from. Again please let remind you that this has nothing to do with the service department. In closing as I mentioned Greg and Jim took care of everything and all was resolved and a great repair was done on my vehicle. I will continue to bring my truck by expecting the impeccable service that Prater Ford provides. I just need to bypass Trey and go straight to Greg! Again thanks Prater Ford service department.

Outstanding service team! An appointment can almost always be scheduled sooner than at other dealerships. Customers are interacted with in a respectful manner, and an honest assessment of parts and labor is the norm. I've been told that I do NOT need to service or replace a part, if there's really no need for the work to be done this place does not "push" unnecessary expenses at all. And, they have even been able to address virtually every service issue on a vehicle other than Ford. Five stars!

Went by Prater ford just to look at the options on the 2020 F-250 comparing them to the Ram and Chevrolet just to see what all options where available. Was greeted by Mr Prater in the parking lot and told him I was just looking. So he sent Mr Nelson out to assist me and we discussed everything and went in his office to do paperwork. Everyone was very nice at the dealership and made sure I was taken care of. Needless to say they put me in a new truck within 30 minutes of me being there. I would recommend them to anyone. Very fast and courteous people to work with. They went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with everything.

I bought my first car here and am so happy with it. They were very helpful in explaining everything which was great since it was all new to me. They have a great sales team. I absolutely recommend this place if your a first time buyer!Also, ask for Brian when you go. I told him what I wanted and could afford every month and he even stayed past closing time on a holiday to find the perfect car. No pressure or sales tactics either

I wouldn t recommend this place to anybody. I had a car accident in early march and hit a dear. With our insurance company that sent us to this place for repairs. It was a few weeks before we heard anything and then once got a call that it was fixed I didn t even make it out of the parking lot with out it stalling on me. My husband opened the hood and there was still deer hair all in the engine. Cosmetically it looked good but service wise no. Then we had to leave it with them again. We ll two more weeks gone by and they didn t have my car it was dropped off at a different facility with out us knowing. We had to call towning company s to find out where it was sent. My car was dropped off with keys with no information about the vehicle at a place in Rome. Was very disappointed with this place.

My wife and I purchased our Bronco Sport from Prater Ford! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish, Charles and the team at Prater Ford do a great job and will get you the best deal! I recommend all my family and friends go here!
