Brought a friend vehicle there & explained to them that it wouldn t start without being jumped. They told her it was the starter. They charged her $350. i drive her to go get the vehicle and when we picked it up (after hours) it still wouldn t start! Again I had to jump her off. Very unprofessional owner. After explaining this to the owner he told me we ll bring it back and I ll take the starter off. Without refunding any of the money. Very rude and unprofessional. No resolution to our problem. $350 wasted.I strongly advise you to avoid Pittmans and go somewhere else.

They love working on older cars. If you don't mind the wait, you will get a great, fair price. Quality service. They only fix what needs to be fixed and what you want fixed. Awesome friendly owned family business.

I love these guys! My Dad was a mechanic when I was growing up and Pittmans takes me back! They are always reasonable, helpful and trustworthy!! No matter where I move I will continue to use them!

If I Could rate 0 stars I WOULD. This place is terrible.. First of all the manufacturer they buy parts from says he over charges for parts, and he s very sketchy, we paid $400 to get the alternator fixed and we brought it back because the engine light was on, we left it there and he ASSURED us when we came back that it was safe to drive from GEORGIA to NORTH CAROLINA. He lied, we broke down not even 50 miles away. Stranded in Lavonia Georgia, in the POURING RAIN my mother, sister, and I were forced to stay at the nearest hotel for the night. We ended up having to call another mechanic and he was AMAZING. S&S mobile mechanic came and saved the day, and he did not over charge for anything and he fixed our broken down car ON THE SPOT. I would most definitely recommend you DO NOT let pittman automotive fix your car. Very sketchy establishment.

ABSOLUTE CROOKS. I went to them and started having so many issues. I ended up going to the Toyota dealership. Pittman did my oil change, come to find out, they never put oil back in my car. They changed my brakes and rotors with USED BRAKES. They changed 2 belts which were so loose that my car began making screeching noises a few days after leaving pittman. I am a single working mother. You should be ashamed of doing ANYONE like this, let alone a mother with young children. I rely on my car so much. These good reviews absolutely have to be fake. I m disgusted with how they have done business. Deplorable.

We have used Pittman Automotive for over 3 decades with multiple vehicles. It has always been a great experience. Pittman has always stood behind their work and honest about the work they perform. It's hard to find a good honest mechanic but Pittman has always been a rock star for our family and our vehicles.

Great group of guys! They do honest and great work!Update: I had a flat and brought it in. They changed it really quick and got me back on the road! Just in time to get another flat. When AAA came out to put the spare on, we realized it wasn't put back on. Howard came out to my house with my spare, put it on and took the flat tire with him. He even offered to bring the new tire back and put it on as soon as they got it in that afternoon! I love these guys! They are just so great and super sweet! Wouldn't go anywhere else!

Great auto repair shop. A couple older men experienced with mechanical repairs. Very down to earth and good pricing. Don't come here for electrical component repairs. PLUS awesome back yard.

Highly recommend, this was my first experience with Pittman automotive. They did a great job on my son's car. They are fair honest and had the work completed in a reasonable amount of time. This is my new mechanic shop!

If you re reading this, go with them. I went to the express oil change in Buford to replace a brake booster, and they wanted to charge me 1400. These guys charged me 400 to do it, they did it correctly and saved me money by showing me how to fix a sensor that other places were trying to charge 400 plus to fix. So they could have charged me since i asked, but instead showed me how to easily change it for $20. They re honest unlike every other place in Buford. You want honest people like this fixing your car. All the other mechanics in Buford are snakes and over charge.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes

Very unprofessional. Shade tree mechanics at best. Don't trust these people. They're crooks. I asked Cody to replace a specific part before left town for a new job. The passenger control arm. Had my truck diagnosed already by Firestone. He said he wanted to evaluate it himself. They kept my truck for 2 days. Changed the wrong control arm. Tried to charge me almost double their quote. Refused to change the right control arm. They didn't complete the other work I requested either. Rotate tires, tighten E brake, nor do the alignment. I paid $400 for a part that didn't need to be changed because of their incompetence. My suspension still knocks with every turn. I myself am an aircraft mechanic and could have changed the part myself, but didn't have time. I am very disappointed every time my truck makes the same noise. Neither I nor my family will ever do business with them again.

Started using Pittman Automotive over a year ago. Went there to have some work done another shop said I needed done. Pittman looked and said I didn t need all of the work done and saved us over $800. These guys are GREAT!! Howard, Brian and Cody do an honest job, with great quality and good price. They just turned my rotors, worked the drums, replaced a wheel bearing and 2 CV joints. took (me) a couple trips but they got on it as fast and completed the work while i waited. Highly recommend taking your car here if you want a good job at fair price.

Extremely honest mechanics! While visiting family from out of town I took my car in because I thought my breaks needed to be done after hearing some noise while stopping. I was very surprised when they called to tell me that I only had a bit of rust around my rotors but my breakers still looked new! They confirmed that my rotors were mechanically fine. They wouldn t have even had to lie to me to take my money but were honest anyway!

I love my mechanic. It saddens me to think Howard May retire one day and I will have to find another one. He has literally worked on every vehicle I ve owned for 20 years and has always been honest fair and timely. If he doesn t think he can fix it he tells you up front. If you are crazy and think something is wrong with your car, he doesn t take advantage of you and break the bank, he literally will tell fly there is nothing wrong even after him and the other guys have all checked it out.

My hubbys mechanic for over 15 yearsAffordable and honest!! We drive 20 miles to get our cars fixed here.. Update 2022: they are still the best!!!!!!! Just picked up one of out trucks .... Excellent experience !

Pittman Automotive has always been good to my family's automotive needs. They try to be fair and honest to their customers. The employees do not take advantage of you and will make sure you know if something is really wrong with your car. I couldn't recommend them enough!

These are the most honest people you'll ever have work on your car.Everytime I've had work done it's been great and cost less than what they said it would 95% of the time.I'll never go anywhere else for car service.

The most honest, fairly priced mechanic I've ever used. I'd recommend them to anyone without question. We've used them for going on 20 years now and never once been dissatisfied.

Always fair and reasonable. Will take all of my automobiles there from here on out. They are always cheaper than the chain/dealer shops and I feel like they actually looked at the problem. Highly recommend giving them a shot.

Pittman automotive are the most honest and best mechanics in the state of Georgia. Dwfinitely take your cars and trucks there for great service, but be patient as they are extremely busy these days.
