Today I got to have my first experience with Jake Johnson after frantically calling this morning to get a quick appointment and Johnny was extremely helpful and got me in first thing in the morning. My car needed some pricey work done but they made me feel confident in the fix and they got it done with a quick turn around. To take it one step further; they offered to drive me home while I had to wait for my car. And the owner himself drove my home safely while boasting about his kids and family who are all a part of the business. They were kind and overall made a stressful situation as smooth as it could have been. My husband and his family have used them for years, I am now a loyal customer as well as I can see why they have been in business over 100 years.Thank you!

Brought my truck in. Was there for a week and half and no one would communicate with me on the progress. I was the one who had to keep calling to get information. I ended up having to buy 2 new batteries and they charge me over 100$ just to put them in the truck and connect them to the truck. As well as on the invoice they said they did a full walk through but when I got the truck I had to pull over on the side of the road and saw there was no coolant in the tank. Just really upset that they charge me over 100 to just ppick up the batteries and set them in the truck. Then to say that they did a full walk through and I found out I had no coolant when I pulled over

Truly disappointing, this isn t the garage as it used to be!!!!! 100% dissatisfied!!!! Too many issues to put in comments! All the way from how things were done/not done. Pricing kept changing. Got vehicle back, still have issues! Do not use them!!!!

I've had nothing but good experience from these people. The service representative Johnny is very respectful and trustworthy. I have met the Johnson family And I know for a fact that they treat their customers like family and will not do them wrong. I will always bring my vehicles here.

I was worried about coming in today because I had an accident a while ago that I had to do some of my own repairs for. I didn't know what I was doing but I got the car running and have been driving with it for a year since the accident. For me the only issue I really had was my AC was out.I took the car in for an oil change and for them to check the AC. They did a courtesy check on the car which gave me some insight that was much needed and more in depth than other places that I have been. On top of that they were able to see one of the biggest problems with my AC.Now I just have to decide what I will do with my car and all the information I have. I will definitely come back!*edit*Have now come back a few times, they have been completely outstanding in their customer service and work on my car!

I took my car to this garage because they offered teacher pick up at the school I work at. They were prompt, helpful, and reasonably priced. They picked up my car, assessed in a timely manner, and completed all of the work. Their prices were fair. Their customers service was top notch. The car is driving like a dream again. Getting work done on a car is always a hassle and a pain. However, this shop has always made the process as easy as possible. I am a single grandmother and found this place out of desperation, and they were fantastic. They took care of my 2002 Ford Explorer. And Now that I am having issues with my new to me vehicle I called them and set up an appointment, the service is great, and prices are reasanoble. I trust their judgement. Jake Johnson's garage was able to solve a problem another local garage could not. They also did it for slightly less than the estimated price (water pump replacement).Johnnie was helpful, professional, and courteous. Overall a good experience. Jake Johnson's has been servicing my 2001 Toyota 4Runner with 237,000 miles on it, since I moved to this area about three years ago. I have always found them to be fair, honest, and reputable. They take appointments, and I typically wait with my vehicle, or you can leave it, and they will give you a ride back to your place within their area.

I just want to say thank you for your honesty. I had my engine blow up and they recommended to take my car to the dealership to see if there was an extended factory warranty. Thank god because there was and instead of thousands of dollars out I was only a couple hundred thanks to Jake Johnson s garage. They could have just put a new engine in and not said a word. Believe me they will have our lifetime business and will be recommended to everyone I know. Thank you guys for being honest.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

These People are the Best! Very Friendly & Caring towards their Customers. My first time ever going there, I had low tire pressure on one of the rear tires on my Diesel Truck, they went above & beyond for me, Jeff went around inspecting each tire & checked the pressure, including my spare tire, I ll definitely be back.

Needed some work done and I live a mile away so I tried to support a local shop.Apparently they're busy and couldn't see me for four or five days.Could be they do good work, but if you need help any time soon look elsewhere.I won't trouble them again.

Super Courteous Folks at Jake Johnson's GarageI went to these guys in 09 after I first moved here and they treated us so well that had I not purchased a new vehicle shortly thereafter where I received free service under the warranty I would've continued having my vehicle serviced there. The price of oil changes vary depending on the vehicle and while they aren't $14.99, they are reasonably priced and conveniently close by for those of us in the Sugar Hill/Suwanee area.Additionally, these guys were extremely helpful when I needed my emissions done quickly and safely during covid19. I'm very high risk and didn't want to go thru a drive-thru testing center. I was supposed to drop the vehicles off before they opened to avoid unnecessary direct contact, but I arrived late and although they didn't have masks on initially, they were conscientious when it came to wiping down the inside of our vehicles and put masks on while we were in the parking lot waiting on the cashier to call us. If covid precautions are important to you I'm guessing they wear masks the majority of the time and will certainly work with any requests you might have to ensure you feel comfortable. We did go back for an oil change on another morning without calling ahead and everyone was wearing a mask. They do get booked up during the week, so I would recommend calling a few days or a week ahead to schedule an appointment if possible.

All s well that ends well. Had a headlight promptly replaced for my 2012 VW Passat for a fair price along with upcoming service recommendations. All garages point out needed services beyond what you originally went in for, but the staff was not pushy, provided good explanation for what they assessed, and supplied printed quotes for each recommended service. Will be returning for additional work.

Not the level of service I am used to receiving from them. I was charged almost 200.00 for normal maintenance which was an inspection, oil change, and wiper blade replacement. I also asked for the tires to be rotated and balanced, however this maintenance was not performed although the rear tires have plenty of tread on them (hence my reason for wanting them rotated while I considered replacement tires). I also wasn't advised on a repair which needed to scheduled in the future. Overall, very unhappy with a garage that shares a name :( (Edited. The owner reached out to me regarding my experience and after a very pleasant discussion I have decided to change my review. Jeff was considerate, polite and explained the charges to the account and even offered a partial refund based on his findings. I will be bringing in the Prius to get the additional work done. Thanks Jeff for taking the time to call and discuss my concerns.

I'm new to the area and didn't know any mechanics around here. Took my truck to Jake Johnson's Garage after reading the good reviews about them. They were very nice and kept me updated on what was going on with my truck. Will definitely be using them going forward.

Dropped my car off to see why I had five different codes pop up and just wanted to know what was wrong with it. I didn t want them to fix it, I just wanted them to look at it. So I dropped the car off at 10:30am. I was told I d hear back from them in an hour maybe two. I call back at 1:15pm (over two hours later and haven t heard a thing) to be told my car is the first on the line but he just went on a lunch break. I called back at 3:30pm (it s been five hours now and still nothing) to get the exact same response my car is the first on the line but he was still on a lunch break. Well, that s one heck of a lunch break! I finally went in at 4:30pm (it s now been six hours) to just pick up my car. No one called me saying my car was ready I just wanted my car back cause none of this seemed okay. I went in and was told I had problems with my cars oil and that I was losing a lot of oil and that the oil was too dark. I was also told I only had one code on my car and not five even though I have picture proof of the five. My cars oil has been recently changed, I had someone look at the oil yesterday and they said it was perfect and that my car was full. My car hasn t been leaking oil either. I don t appreciate being lied to about my vehicle. I m never coming back here and can t recommend it to anyone.

Not the level of service I'm used to receiving from them. Went there this Monday 06/04/2018 to have AC diagnosed. The front desk lady told me that they are busy and cannot do it. Scheduled an appointment for 06/06/2018. So I go there on Wednesday and they are like you need to come back on Thursday or Friday maybe... Who in the world would want to go 3rd time just to someone have a look at it? Jeff I'm sorry to say but this place is losing the goodwill you built over the years.Been there today for oil change.. it was usual good experience that I'm used to. So changed my rating. Thanks Jake and Courtney!

Very happy with these guys. I did have a small issue with my brakes squeaking but they were proactive, they reached out to me and fixed the issue. I'd recommend these guys to anyone. They do car truck and marine. They have been in business for a good while, and seem like they have a good system going.

I was very pleased with my first experience at Jake Johnson s Garage (JJG). I had my car towed to the JJG lot at the recommendation of a good friend after it cut off on Buford Hwy late one Friday evening. The staff promptly called me the following morning (Saturday) after having fully reviewed my complaint/request and offered me different levels of diagnostic help with very clear price ranges. They listened to my concerns and ruled out my thought of an alternator issue. They offered a simple and thorough explanation for the true nature of my car s trouble and a conservative estimate. They did not rush me to get the car off the lot versus paying for all of the work, but offered to do partial work now and complete the work later if that was more financially feasible for me. In the end, after calling around, I did end up using JJG to complete all of my car s repairs which totaled around $1500, nearly $150 less than their estimate with parts and labor!!Overall, great experience, knowledgeable staff, quick and quality service, good people.2 weeks in my car now... good as new!2006 VW JETTA TDI

I just got back from my first experience at Jake Johnson's garage, and I'm absolutely going to be back. My car had a rubber protector on the underside of the front bumper get loose. It's probably an easy fix, but I'm not a technical person. However, it needed to get fixed else it would drag on the ground and potentially fall off. I brought it over to JJ's on A SATURDAY MORNING (they have Saturday hours - that's HUGE!!!). I explained to Jeff what was wrong and without a word, he brought it into the garage, spent 25 minutes on it (and mind you, he spent time to thoroughly inspect it, put in the right fasteners, and , working with his arms over his head. He pulled my car back out and returned it to me. I asked how much I owed and he just said to come back when I needed more work done. I would have gladly paid for the work, but he just smiled.So, let's review:- Extremely professional and thorough- SATURDAY HOURS- Thoughtfulness and graciousness- Local business that needs your love and supportFive Stars - No Question - I'm sold

Had an 8am appointment to have a problem diagnosed. By 1330 they still have not even moved my vehicle to just look at it. When I went inside to talk with someone I noticed their schedule board. They had two appointments that were after me already crossed off!!! And the manager had nothing to say about it but some dumb, smart ass remark. "I'm sorry we couldn't get to it fast enough for you".

I had a great experience they got me in to do the work much faster than some other garages in the area they were expensive but the work was professional and I had forgot that I left like $50 cash in the center console and every bit of it was there these guys are very professional
