DO NOT GO HERE! I would rate 0 stars if it would let me. My son took his truck up there a week and half ago and finally got an estimate that was more than the truck is worth, not to mention on problems that weren t even there. He told them he would get back to them, but when he went to pick the truck up they had already done the work even though he never said to proceed. We had to get another mechanic to pick the truck up the next day and it was literally a $40 part. However, when the mechanic changed the part out it would crank but not move. When he checked to see what was happening he found wires that had been moved to incorrect spots and others that were no longer connected. WHO WOULD DO THIS! I have dealt with pricey mechanics before but I have never had someone to literally sabotage your vehicle. If I would not have had another mechanic physically go up there we would be in a horrible position right now. Thank goodness for caring and honest people. They are out there but NOT AT NEALS!

Over priced! You can do better at other mechanics, like Grayson Automotive. Maybe a bit further but they will check out your car for free unlike this place who will charge you $100 just to look at your car and not deduct that service charge if you choose to get work done. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.

I've never had a problem with their repairs or prices until now. I spent almost 2,700.00 and it didn't last one day. They didn't even repair their mistake from before which, I think, caused the 2,700.00 problem. I'm now without a vehicle and no money to get even a used one. I'm on disability and can't afford it.

Neil had my Saleen mustang for 1 month to correct the paint he improperly applied the first time, and started peeling off after a month because it was applied to smooth plastic without scuffing or applying a paint primer. While Neil had my car he thought it was ok to drive it around until it was nearly out of gas! One of my pastors kids remarked how fast the car was when he saw it at church, stating Neil took him on a fast ride while at his shop! He then charged $200 to REDO the paint that wasn't done right the first time, and pull & recaulk 2 small side windows. My car sat for 3 weeks before it was started on, and he had it for over a month for minor work! This is the last time we will use Neil's Auto!Update 4-15-17: After only 7mths one of the window louvers fell off exposing the HORRIBLE work they did pulling & recaulking the window! The urethane sealant was allowed to squirt out around the window showing they used the urethane instead of 3m tape to apply the louvre which is why it fell off per a window guy I spoke to recently. To get this fixed right: The windows will have to be pulled (AGAIN), seals & panels sanded to get urethane gasket sealant off, and quater panels repainted per another body shop! After his treatment the last 2 times, I wouldn't let him touch my car again!Update 11-11-23: I sent Neil a message 2 weeks ago offering to let him have a professional body shop fix my windows & repaint the area that his poor side window repair destroyed the surrounding area in return for an updated review. As expected, no response from the so called Christian business owner!

THESE PEOPLE WILL ROB YOU! if you have no knowledge on your vehicle avoid this place they will over charge you and create more problems so they can get into your pockets. they are thieves and liars.

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM! THEY WILL WRITE U AND INSANE ESTIMATE FOR THINGS THAT ARE NOT EVEN WRONG WITH YOUR VEHICLE! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE YOUR BETTER OFF YOUTUBING IT AND DOING IT YOURSELF! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!

I've been going to this shop off and on for bout 4 years. They're always professional, greet you with a smile. Very competitive prices. Also they have the best mechanics.

I was driving to Athens and all of a sudden my tires starting making a weird noise and I knew something wasn't right. I happened to stop near Neil's and I could not have asked for a better auto shop. The lady at the front desk was extremely welcoming and understanding. The lobby was very clean and had inspirational quotes all over. It immediately put me at ease. The staff was about to go on lunch break and even though I was a walk-in, they still made room for me. They looked at my car, free of charge, and helped me get on my way. Overall, I had a very positive experience at Neil's and I would go back in a heart beat. I recommend this company to anyone!

Was doing lawn care for the owner. Very nice looking business, seemed to be a busy place. Neil was very friendly, knowledgeable and sociable businessman.

As always, Neil's did an excellent job repairing the AC in our truck! The work was done in the time they said and the cost was slightly less than what was quoted. Neil & his group of mechanic have worked our vehicles for years and we have always had a great experience and had no issues with the work they've done.

These guys are fantastic. Both Niel and Neal are so knowledgeable about any and all automotive issues. I wouldn't ever take my car anywhere else. They have done numerous mechanic repairs for me and my wife as well as body repairs through an insurance claim and I have never been disappointed in their work

I can't recommend Neil's Auto Repairs. What was supposed to be an easy fix turn out to a disaster and costs me several hundred dollars to get fixed. I went in because I had water in my car coming in from a blocked drain hose from the sunroof. They fixed it (that's what I thought) and I paid $140. The water kept coming in on the driver side, so I went back. They said they had to take out the seat, carpet and all because they suspected the water coming in from somewhere else. I said I'd rather take it to Nissan and let them have a look. What neither them nor I noticed at that time was a high pitch whistling noise coming from the front speaker. When I introduced the car to Nissan they noticed it right away and after telling them the history, they kept the car to check it out. Needless to say I got another car for the entire time, free of charge. So it turned out that Neil's Auto Repairs didn't connect the drain hose to the firewall drain plug. Which allowed water to get into the system which started all kinds of malfunctions like the noise from the speaker. Nissan fixed it, no more water in the car without taking out seats etc. but I'm out of several hundred dollars which could have been avoided if they did their job right in the first place.

They really helped me in a pinch and offered a great price compared to others! Very kind and helpful! Even offered to stay and wait with me when I was dropping off my car waiting on someone to pick me up. They will be my permanent mechanic from here on out!

Great Christian Family Business. They will diagnose any problem with your vehicle with a meticulous eye! Neil and Jr fixed my 1987 Ford 250 that 4 previous mechanics could not. Lee kept me informed throughout the whoIe process. If you are a parent with a student who makes the 316 drive between the Atlanta area and Athens, you need to know Neil's Auto Repair. On a recent trip back to Atlanta, my daughter experienced engine trouble. With the help of local Law Enforcement (who made sure my daughter was safe) and a local resident, we took the car to Neil's. Everyone we spoke with there was friendly and helpful. Repairs took less than 24 hours and the cost was more than reasonable! Neil even took the time to do a little added work at no charge! I will not hesitate to use Neil's Auto Repair in the future!!

I was parked in a shopping center and someone had damaged the rear door on my brand new 2016 Ford truck. My truck has tri-coat finish, which means it has the base color, the pearl finish and clear coat, so it is very difficult to make it come out looking like the original paint. So, I took it to Neil's Auto for repairs. The dents were removed perfectly as if they were performed by Ford factory itself. The paint was matched up so flawlessly that unless you knew where the damage was, you would not be able to tell at all. I would wholeheartedly recommend this shop to anyone needing any type of auto repair. They are friendly, courteous and extremely professional.

Not a good place to take your vehicle if you want to keep your vehicle in running condition. I took mine there got it back about a month later for what should have been a simple fix for a minor issue which didn't affect the performance of the engine. They destroyed all power and engine performance. Drove it to town when I got it back from them over $1100 paid and my engine caught fire and burnt my car up due to their mechanical negligence reported by fire investigator.

No parking available to customers, wait times are really long due to the fact that the whole shop only has 2 automotive technician available, depending on who runs the front expect some attitude when they are over busy especially when 1 tech took time off. The other thing that bothers me, which is just my personal preference, if I pay more with you for services versus other auto shops, using carquest parts is a big NO for me.
