I generally choose Marriott when traveling because I appreciate their standards and I know what to expect, however I didn t have the option in the charming southern city of Bainbridge, GA. Hampton Inn was one of my closest options, so I gave them a try. I appreciated the generous King sized room. It made sharing the space with another person while changing and shifting around the room a breeze and kept us less stressed and anxious. The staff had the Southern Hospitality down to a science. It was obviously not an act, just good-mannered and amazing people. We had a couple small requests that were met with smiles. So beautiful to encounter when used to living in the city.I started with 4 stars because it is simply not a 5 star hotel. Although I generally loved my stay and the staff, I had to dock a star for the lingering fresh paint smell in the room. Unfortunately, I am hypersensitive and it gave me a migraine. Management was both understanding and accommodating. If you re considering a stay here, you can t go wrong. Besides, the paint should be dry by now.

Owners should be having management check room quality regularly. There was black mold on the ceiling all around the shower area, presumably because the sliding door does not stay open and there is no exhaust fan in the room. Room smelled very musty as well. Otherwise the cleaning staff are very thorough with their jobs and friendly as well. Front desk staff was friendly too. No complaints about breakfast. We stayed for 3 days and the hot portion of breakfast was different every day, good variety. Would be nice to have diabetic options for the coffee additives though. The towels could use a swap out- the ones we were given were pretty stained.

We checked in for the weekend for a fishing tournament and no room keys in the entire hotel are working not even digital keys,l. The front desk lady is having to physically let everyone in and out of their rooms. Only one elevator works and no TV remote to be found in our room. Also had a roach in our room. When we contacted Hilton customer support they said we have to speak with a manager. There is no manager on-site. Definitely not what we expected or paid for.

Roaches!!! Roaches! Roaches! My sister and I was sitting in the bed talking and here come a roach down the curtains. The floors are not clean. Breakfast the oatmeal was runny and the rest of the food was cold. We went to the front lobby for coffee and it was cold. We informed the hotel clerk at the desk the coffee and water was cold, she told us to warm up our coffee in the staff microwave. Lazy staff, terrible food and roaches. RUN with the quickness.Rooms: Roaches

After arriving and going to Holiday Inn across the street where there was no front desk person to receive us, I stood in their lobby and made a reservation here at Hampton. By the time we got here, the night desk lady was standing at the door waiting for us. We checked in and got to our room. It is clean and quiet and has good shades to sleep. Grateful as we were quite exhausted.Rooms: Clean and well

The rooms are very nice but the thermometer only goes to 75. It was cold when I stayed there and I didn't appreciate waking up to a cold room. I had to buy a heater from Walmart. I asked if they had a portable heater and was told no. Service was terrible. The girls at the front desk are argumentative.Food & drinks: Chick-fil-A and zazbys are walking distance

Tried one last time to give the Hampton Inn in Bainbridge a chance as I traveled from Tallahassee and got sleepy. I was there when it opened and it once was a very nice property! I will say that the location was a very good choice as it is on Tallahassee Hwy and will attract Honors members. However, it is now lacking in customer service and cleanliness (which didn't happen overnight, the process has been slow and steady). Save your money, either travel South to Tallahassee to avoid the roaches and dirt or a little East to Thomasville to a much nicer Hampton property or even Dothan where the properties are newer and people there know how to treat you. The carpets are filthy and the roaches are their most frequent visitors. Just gross.

Heater would not heat room higher than 65f on cold winter night, motion sensor light in bathroom clicks off at 60 seconds so you end up waving every min on the toilet.Bed lumpy and awful, broken mirror light in bathroom buzzed and didn't work, light fixture between beds falling off and right lamp not working.I'm a professional traveler, and this is almost the worst Hampton Inn I've come across so far. Options are limited in Bainbridge, so find a nearby town instead.Staff was very nice and offered a discount on room.

I'm not sure how this place thinks they can charge $150 per night. And then they scam you and say they are booked are will charge you $287 per night, yet the parking lot is empty??? This place is a 3 star hotel at best trying to charge 4 star and 5 star rates. The desk must be scamming or something to try and boost their sales. Broken doors that don't shut all the way, mold in the bathrooms, definitely not a $150/night or more establishment. I feel like they scammed me out of a couple hundred dollars. Unfortunately choices are limited for stays out there and Hilton won't help remedy.

Drove in last night Oct 29, 2023 to arrange to stay for one night. Meaning we would be leaving by 11:00 am on the 30th . And the reservation specialist wanted to charge us $230.00 for the night because of a fishing tournament that starts on the 1st of November. I explained I just saw it online for $122.00 on my Farm bureau site but it was too late to book with my discount of 20%off. 20% off of the rate she quoted us would have been $184.00. As soon as we left I went on my Expedia app and the rate was $169.00 So we kindly left and we went to the Holiday Inn Express for $154.00 right down the street and was greeted so kindly and they were reasonable in the rate, their hotel was so clean and they included a breakfast that was out of this world. When leaving this morning. The parking lot at Holiday Inn Express was full and the Hampton Inn was empty. Go figure that.

Spent 1 night in a Hilton property due to lack of Marriotts and ended up with a 1st floor room with see-through shades next to my bed with trucks parked right outside that could see in. Requested to be moved to the 2nd or 3rd floor since I am a solo female traveler and apparently there are none available. Note to self and everyone: just stay in a Marriott in Tallahassee and do the 50 minute drive. You ll be much happier.Safety: Did not feel safe.

Update: This hotel has gone downhill since Stacey McMillan left! I returned to this area for my second visit, and it was a terrible experience. There was a roach crawling on the floor, the room was filthy and the fridge was frozen and I ended up moving to another room which had the dirtiest carpet I've ever seen. I recorded a video to show how dirty the floor was from just walking barefoot on the carpet, but it was too long to post. See pics. Not all Hamptons are equal! This one goes above and beyond my expectations.Although a little early on arrival, my digital key was ready before I got there and actually worked!I was greeted by Stacey McMillan at the front desk. She is an amazing lady and had empathy for my back issues. She went out of her way to ensure I was comfortable! Other hotels could use her as an example of how customers should be treated. She is simply amazing! My stay was quiet, and I had everything I needed. The rooms were clean and all the staff were just wonderful! The breakfast cook Dawn Josey is the best cook ever! The food was so good and beautifully displayed. She also has a great personality, and it shows how much she cares for her guests!Beef O'Bradys and A- Town wings also have amazing food nearby! If you're in the area, I highly recommend this hotel!

Hello my name is Katie Martin and I am a former employee of this establishment. This hotel is BEYOND repair. Not only physically but also internally with management. Sandie is by far the worse manager i ve ever encountered in my years working. She makes her employees CRY AT WORK. She brings all of her personal life into the hotel and then is upset when her business starts going around. She will call other employees and ask them to clock her in early then she will proceed to not show up for about 2hrs, she ll get to the hotel, stay about 30-40mins and then leave again WITHOUT clocking out, basically getting paid for not even being there and then wonders why she has so much to do. The housekeeping has also told me themselves that this hotel has ROACHES, BEDBUGS, AND FLEAS!!! I ve asked for the owners information to try and file a complaint but she refuses to give it to me considering that customer service only handles customer complaints and not employees. Sandie will also come into work extremely high off of her painkillers and at times i would worry that she was going to pass out. She s made me and other staff cry while at work. Also about the bringing personal life into work, she constantly brings up her exs and current sexual relationships. I am at WORK, not the club. I had to BEG HER to let me leave work while my grandfather was in the hospital. I shouldn t have had to beg to go see my FAMILY. My grandfather was suffering from heart failure at the time and she showed absolutely no concern. I tried my best to tolerate her outlandish behavior while I could but once she wanted me to come into work at 3am because SHE decided to fire someone, I knew I was done. She should have to cover the mistakes she made. The person she fired was one of the best people at the hotel and she felt that her position as GM was being threatened so she fired her. Many people also called the hotel saying that she owed them a check and she was REFUSING to give former employees their checks because she had a personal dilemma with them. You cannot hold someone s money that THEY WORKED FOR from them. She basically making every way for herself and not standing up to Hilton standards. I would not have taken the time out of my day to write this review if I didn t care about others. I want everyone who sees this to know that Sandie Wallace is one of the worst people I ve ever worked for and her management skills simply just do not exist. I m sorry for anyone who still works for her and I m praying that they will have her replaced soon so I can return back to my job. The hotel itself is beautiful but it needs new management ASAP. Once again, I would love to contact the owner himself to tell him all of this but she s refusing to give out his information because SHE KNOWS that her job is in jeopardy!!! This is all from a FORMER EMPLOYEE so while you ve read though this please know that every bit of this information came from a person who experienced it first hand. The hotel is understaffed and overworked and she is the reason.

So we stay at Hilton Hotels quite often. My family and I were traveling to Bainbridge for a wedding. Originally my family booked rooms with the quality inn down the road. However after looking at the reviews I was able to get all of my family to switch to Hampton Inn. 4 rooms for 2 nights, and 1 room for 1 night. So a total of 5 rooms. I paid extra for the king suite. Upon checking in, the room was rather disgusting. The carpet felt dirty, the shower had hair in the drain. The mini fridge was in the middle of the entry way and the wallpaper and baseboard were peeling off in the vanity area. I'm pretty disappointed in Hilton for letting this hotel get to this condition. The whole reason we paid more to switch to this hotel is because we trust Hilton. This trust was tested this weekend. I can say the staff was amazing, Felicia was very attentive to the issues, and was able to adjust the room rates.

We were there during a storm and the power was out for two days. The staff did their best to accommodate us. After being there for 4 days, we requested the room be cleaned. They finally showed up late afternoon. Cleaning halls did not seem to be done on the regular nor emptying the overflowing trash cans. The breakfast ladies were the highlight of our stay. They were very sweet and did a great job. Minor repairs were not being done and no emergency lights in the stairwell was concerning.

Tried to put room darkening shade up - only goes 6 inches. Wash hands - faucet handle falls off the wall. Light above mirror does not work. Taking shower - auto light in bathroom turns off - pitch black. Tub floor unsafe - very slick! 1 bar of soap to share at sink and shower. General manager was reprimanding an employee in the breakfast area - so unprofessional. We got a whole $20 discount on our room - we'll see if we do in fact get it! My opinion - the staff also think the general manager has an attitude. I asked to speak with her - she was on the phone conveniently and then promptly left the hotel!Contacted Hampton as they requested - funny thing - no one has bothered to contact me!

Remember this manager: You can treat us poorly while we are a captive audience at your property but we will remember that the next time we make reservations. As other reviews point out - this is not your typical Hampton Inn experience. I tried to check in at 1PM knowing I was a little earlier than 3PM check in but also knowing that over 200 rooms don't get serviced all at once. They had clean rooms available but refused to allow me in one. I asked if I could cancel the reservation and was told no and then the manager, who was sitting in the lobby, curtly asked why I wanted to cancel. I told her I would like early check in and she rudely told me that 3 PM was check in time and refused a refund. I didn't argue as she had the power over my spent money then but now that I need to make a new reservation for the coming weeks I have the power over my spend back and it wont be spent at this Hampton ever again. I also am a decision maker for my company and will have direct reports and suppliers wanting to stay at the hotel I am staying at and it will not be this Hampton Inn.

We had stayed at this Hampton once before and it was ok. But this time we were very disappointed! We reported to the front desk that the room was not finished. We walked in and it was dark and pillows were on the chair. The bed had not been completely made, just a quilted looking thing, I took photos of it. She came down and looked she said. Well, it was clean, they just didn't finish. Never offered to give us another room. Debated about switching hotels. But because we'd made the reservation online through the Hilton member's website, and it was late in the afternoon, we just felt we would go ahead and stay. When i unncovered the bed, there was no mattress liner on the bed, there was only plastic sheet and then the regular bed sheet, so of course, you can imagine the crinkling all night! We accidentally locked our keycard in the room. I asked her for our other card since they were 2 of us and she said oh I don't have any extras. She decoded the key in the room and gave us a new key card(?) and told me to bring the old key card up to the desk? At this point we gave up expecting anything from the front desk! We had a very lousy night sleep because the sheet kept coming off of the bed. I did report it to the desk clerk the next morning. She said she would report it to the manager never heard anything. I did also report this incident to Hilton's customer service, told me it was being looked at. Been 10 days and nothing. Paid $155 not counting fees and taxes for nothing. Will not be staying there again!!!

Room tv remotes non functional. Booked a two night stay the morning after the first night an alarm two rooms down started and continued for several hours only to return during sleeping hours making sleep difficult. During breakfast (which ends at 10 am) at 920 am was out of scrambled eggs and kitchen staff all but resided to make more without threat of a report to management. Only thing pleasant about this stay was the staff at the front desk. Will not be returning to this establishment. You would expect this brand hotel to do better.Noteworthy details: Nonfunctional tv remotes, uncooperative/rude kitchen staff faulty alarm systems constantly sounding off (hours)

I was completely disappointed in the cleanliness of their rooms and beds. I pull back the covers to see sheets with pubic hair and other bodily secretions on them. I asked for new sheets so I could change the nasty bedding out which they gladly got for me but did not offer any room discount or even extra Hilton points for the lack of clean room. Disappointed with this Hampton Inn.Rooms: Nasty

After reading the reviews, I was a little nervous about my stay. BUT this was a GREAT stay. The staff was exceptional! Everyone was welcoming, friendly and made me feel valued at a Hilton Honors member. They have recently undergone renovations, so the lobby, breakfast area, and room were all modern and beautifully decorated. Only two very minor issues with the room [1] light above bathroom mirror didn't work: [2] sliding door to bathroom/ closet was a little dirty. Nothing major enough to remove a star. Great options for breakfast, including the famous Belgian waffle! I would stay again if in the area.

Upon arrival to our room, it appeared as if the room was broken into. The door was open and we were only able to lock it from the inside. The floor was not cleaned, as there was hair on the floor, and it appeared as if the floor had not been cleaned. The kitchenette sink was dirty at the bottom. It was not cleaned and we could tell who ever cleaned this room did a rush job. The shower look dirty as well. We ask for another room and was told all the rooms was booked. That morning I mentioned again the condition of the room and we was sent to another room. But the new room we was sent to was not much cleaner. Of all the Hampton Inn's I have stayed out, I had never been to a Hampton with poorly cleaned rooms. I would not recommend staying here. BTW I had to give one star because there was no option for zero.SignedThe owners needs to step up
