Dishonesty at its finest.I made two mistakes and I paid for it.My 07 Pontiac Vibe had to be towed. Wouldn t start. I changed the battery but to no avail.It was a Saturday afternoon and almost no auto shop was open. Precision was the only one I could find for my insurance company to send the tow truck to, so I figured, Hey, they have great reviews. Should be good. Mistake #1.I get a call from the mechanic telling me that my starter was the problem and that it would take $619.00 to fix. That seemed really high, but I knew nothing about starters, needed my car workable asap, and I couldn t get my car towed somewhere else so I said go ahead. Mistake #2.Later that day, I tell my coworkers and family what I was quoted for the starter repair. They tell me it s highly inflated; $300-$400 is the most I should be paying, apparently.Thus, I call up other auto shops in Augusta (Christian Automotive and C&C) for a quote on a starter installation for my 07 Vibe : $449.68 and $472.75. Both seem high, but were a far cry from $600+.I go to retrieve my car from Precision and talk with the head mechanic before paying for my car. I show him how much a starter for an 07 Vibe costs. Go ahead type in 07 vibe starter on Google and see what you find. The prices are $70-$219.Yet, I m charged $335.03. I ask him about the cost and he simply replies that he only uses the best. The other listed costs:Non Start Diagnosis: $125Labor: $87.50My car did not need a diagnostic; the mechanic found the most expensive starter imaginable.It s completely my fault for not questioning him when he called with the quote a few days earlier. I was naive enough to believe that I was dealing with honest human beings.Nope. They re dishonest. Please stay away.Oh, and to top it all off, apparently there s an extra charge for using a credit card.Total: $634.59.Dishonest.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Precision Tune on Wrightsboro Rd. did an exceptional job fixing my car after another location in another city couldn t fix it properly. They were able to fix my broken wheel bearing within a couple days without delay. They also kept in contact and gave me updates in a timely manner unlike the previous location I went to. I will be using more of their services at this location in the future.Service: Brake service & repair

Took my car there twice first experience was good. They got me a lower price than anyone in town. Second time my car had died and I had it towed there. I told them I was pretty sure my alternator was dead. They called me said all I needed was a new battery. Two days later my car died again I asked them if they ran the diagnosis to which they gave me a yes and a no then finally when I asked if they could send me it they said they couldn't run it bc the battery was dead, though they charged me for it. When I got my car back the motor cover was gone as well. The owner I am assuming it was is very rude and curt. Two times when I was in there he was berating his employees. Would not recommend.

Excellent service awesome mechanics the most honest place in Augusta Georgia to go to with your car. Don't overcharge think about the customer first before they think about themselves. I've been going here for years and I always take both of my vehicles here no where else.

If I could give Precision 6 stars I would. IT is rare in this day and age to find a business, locally owned, that you find the same friendly faces time after time. They literally go that extra mile to make the customer not just happy, but appreciated and taken care of. I never feel like I am being taken advantage of either; try that at the big box shops. And you get what you pay for; quality service at a fair price. I know that should a repair go bad they will stand behind it.I have never, ever been treated anything but respectfully at Butler Automotive. Eddie, Jeff and crew are always on the ball. They know HOW to diagnose and repair anything and everything. If I break down on the road, I just pick up the phone and its taken care of. That's real peace of mind for our little fleet :)

I took my truck to Precision Tune on a Saturday to have my shock absorber repaired. They ended up keeping my truck the whole weekend because they kept ordering the wrong size part they did eventually get the right part in just before closing on Saturday, but did not have time to install it. So I was without a vehicle all weekend. I received a call the following Monday and was informed that my truck was ready. After being told the cost would be almost $1000, I asked if they offered a six months interest-free program. I was told that they did. I got there just before closing on Monday (I had to work that day) and signed the paperwork for the financing and was told that I would have to put $39 down for the loan. I agreed to do this and was told that the terms would be emailed to me.After I got home and read the email, I discovered that they had signed me up for a three month term loan with a leasing company. In addition, I learned that the $39 was a fee rather than a down payment. First of all, I would not have knowingly thrown away $39 for no reason this is the equivalent of over 15% APR. I would have just gotten the money out of my savings account. Secondly, I was told that I was signing up for a 6-month loan. This was not extremely problematic for me, but for someone on a tight budget the double-payment could be catastrophic. The bottom line is that I was misled.A couple of weeks later I was walking up to my truck in a parking lot and I noticed that the rod for my shock absorber had come loose again. So not only did they incompetently keep ordering the wrong part while they had it, they apparently did not fix it correctly after they got the correct part. So I had to be without my vehicle for another Saturday. And of course it took them all day to fix it. I work during the week and use my Saturdays to run errands and take care of business. Needless to say, I again got nothing done because of their indifference and incompetence.Due to the inconvenience that I suffered and the bait and switch that I was subjected to regarding the loan, I will definitely not subject myself to dealing with this company again. I would STRONGLY suggest that consumers be very wary of this predatory and incompetent establishment. NEVER AGAIN!!!

I went there today and this place wanted $90 to do an estimate and they would not contribute any of that towards the repair (play in the steering). Next door does an inspection for less then $20

If you need anything done to your car, GO TO THIS BUSINESS!! The customer service is AMAZING and they did a great job on our car. We had a throttle issue and once they diagnosed the problem, they had it replaced and programmed in no time. They were so sweet and friendly to our kiddos and they were nice enough to gift us a card and a tin of cookies (bc it's pretty close to Christmas). I wish I would have found them sooner, but I'm happy I found them when I did! Thank you so much, Precision Tune!

I Love this place they fixed my car and told me exactly what the problem was and how much that it would cost. Angela the receptionist is so polite and has great customer service and the mechanic Gary is so awesome I will not take my car any where else ever again period.

I called around and got several quotes for an A/C repair. This shop gave me the best price. They fit me in on the same day even though they were busy. They also drove me home so I wouldn't have to wait in the shop. The job was done well (as far as I can tell) and they even offered to look at it again for free in a week to make sure it doesn't have any more leaks. Excellent shop!

I have been coming to this location for 15 years until today. I tried to call to make an appointment they said they no longer took appointments I came in the morning they said it was 3 hr wait however, I can make an appointment online. I made an appointment online to be told I had to wait and I waited. Not even 5 minutes later of me getting my car back I m tire indicator came on Wrightsboro Road I tried to pump air into the tire to only find out it was slit. Because it was Saturday and they where closed I called them on Monday to tell them I had to replace a tire and was told I would get a call back after cameras where viewed 3 days later no call I came in to ask what was found to be told they say nothing and it was Richmond Counties fault for not cleaning roads properly. A $55 dollar oil change costed me $100 tire and the fact that they everyone was so nonchalant is beyond me. I told them the lost me as customer as of today because it was definitely happened at the shop.Service: Oil change

Always friendly, always respectful, and always take care of me. They pushed to get me in the next day when I had an emergency issue with my brakes. Had a lot of work done with these guys and I've always been satisfied.

Brought a new 2005 Subaru Outback with sticky brake. Since brakes are such an crucial issue for cars, I decided to take my chances and brought it in here (i just moved into town). When they did the inspection they told me that the calipers and brake hoses need replacing and there are rust on them. They worked with my on the prices and got it down to $1450. The next day I got a call from the in the morning. And apparently, once they started working on it, my piston and calipers were able to move. So they only charged me $30 for the inspection. Like wow, that is integrity right there. They quoted me on the price and I was busy calling home for the money to get it done, but when they realized that no work need to be done, they honestly just told me to take the car back. What else can you ask for from a car repair shop?

I wouldn t recommend this place to nobody i took my car there on 4/29/2020 for a diagnostic test because my engine light was on . Before i got there my car was driveable and by the time the test was done and over with my car wouldn t start at all. Which is crazy the mechanic name GARY was only supposed to run a diagnostic test and tell me what was the problem with my car and why my check engine light was on and he told me that i had a broken fuse which could have set something off so my car wouldnt start .This is very unprofessional because i had to get my car towed home and its still not starting at all . But overall the lady at the front desk was very friendly helpful.

Won't go there any more. Got an oil change, charge extra to top off fluids, didn't tell me about dirty air filter. Saw it on receipt when I got home after I had stopped and bought coolant to top off my well for radiator. Charge for tire rotation but didn't do it because tires were worn!? And needed to be balanced. Better deal at midas and other places. 29.99 ended up costing me much more by the end of the day.

Ill put zero stars if I could. They'll try to make you pay for services you don't need.I took my car a 2016 Nissan Altima in, they did a diagnostic and told me I have to change my transmission. I asked if they could only change the part with a problem because I have a code reader and it says a sensor was defective. I didn't have several thousands of dollars for a new transmission so I went to a mobile mechanic and he took a look at my car then he also told me to check my warranty paperwork so my car could still be under warranty. Checked and good graciously I had an active warranty so I took my car to Nissan and they fixed the sensor problem without needing to change the whole transmission and now my car is back running like never before.

They were courteous and downright good at their craft. The mechanic said that I had an oil leak and I didn't believe jhim, because I had not seen any oil in my driveway; he went and took a picture of the leak under. my car and sent it to my phone. Got home and oil was in my driveway! Had it fixed. Thanks Precision!!!

Horrible experience! Was not on time! I was told my car would be ready on Sat, that was changed to "First thing Monday morning I will start working on it!" So, I call Monday 12noon to hear, "The guy who was working on your vehicle had an emergency soooo it may not be ready until tomorrow!" Further along the conversation I hear, "If I can get off the phone then I probably can get to your car!" Basically, I don't want to talk anymore! Let's talk about pricing, $500 for an alternate that auto zone quoted me $200! And on top of that their labor fees $50! It's like they are hiding their labor cost within their car parts quote! I can go on and on... But lastly I drive for like twenty miles and my car's belt comes off! The belt that they had to take off to change the alternater! I call them and basically I hear, I can't get to it today and most likely it won't be covered! So choose wisely....

Took my car to them for services on my battery and oil change. Staff left my key fob in my vehicle, it was stolen and they called me lying saying they needed both key fobs to update them due to the battery service. They then called a locksmith to come and create a new key fob, but they went home in the mean time. The thief then came and stole my car and totaled it! Police statements show their negligence by admission and they took NO responsibility claiming it was an act of God. God would have you make whole your customers. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE ESPECIALLY WHEN THEY CLAIM TO NEED TO KEEP IT OVER NIGHT!Service: Oil change

They are creeps. Complete Scam -Jan 2016 I had a 2006 trailblazer with a headlight recall. They charged me $700.00 and didn't fix the issue at all. When I left their venue my headlights didn't work at all. Both managers were contacted and neither fixed the issue nor reimbursed me for the recall.

Very nice and friendly staff. Had to get an oil change and my car checked out because it ran hot the day before. Brought my car in without appointment on a Saturday, and they change my oil and had it checked out and ready for me within 2 hours

Most of the times I went they misdiagnosed the issue. If it is a simple issue (that you already diagnosed) they do a fairly good job. But if any digging is required, I would rather bring my rather old car to the dealership to make sure I'm not spending on things I don't need.

Ofcourse they found tons of things wrong. Which sadly is typical when you are a woman and take your vehicle to be serviced.Lady who answered their phone was just super unfriendly. No patience and when asked if they were working on the vehicle she just avoided answering.I wish I would of gone elsewhere.
