For Me, their cost per hour to execute simple auto audio installations (about $200 an hour) is too expensive. There is NO Military discount. The Owner sets the non negotiable prices. When I visited the Techs wanted to work as they had no current Customers on site but I declined the project as the Owner set a price of $350 for my minor radio installation (all I required was a Wire harness to connect my speakers to my radio...all the 12V power installation I had already completed). So I took my own time, read the speaker installation instructions and installed the new radio myself. It took me 2 hours of my own time with a multimeter and some common tools to trace and identify the 4 individual OEM speaker wires. Shame they turn away Customers for their high prices when it seems the Techs wanted to work. Regrettable experience.

Avoid this place like the plague!!!! (BOTH LOCATIONS.) Does not stand by their return policy even with the receipt. Less than two weeks of purchase. Communication is poor only want you to spend your money after that it s on you. As someone who has spent thousands with this company , they may want to look into new management. They have lost a customer permanently and I will go out of my way to recommend somewhere else . Very disrespectful and was told to have fun with giving a bad review when mentioned. Will never recommend again. Next stop better business bureau!

Way way overpriced For EVERYTHING. Orientals own this place and true to the nature, they don't care as long as they get your money. Pro Audio is so much better. Sorry Lawson, good advertising just ain't enough

Brought my 23 year old truck in to upgrade system to include touch screen bluetooth unit, Apple CarPlay, back up camera, hands free calling. Brought vehicle in per appointment, in and out in about 90 minutes. Everything works as it should, reasonably priced, fast service! Thanks Lawson's Audio!!

Called in advance to check availability of audio equipment. Provided part numbers of parts needed as well product info and told they stock it. Then drive there to find out they don't. Then to be told they are 99% positive the other location stocks the connectors I'm looking for. To find out they don't ever stock the connectors I was looking for.

Highly recommend Lawson's Car Audio; they have a huge selection of speakers and audio equipment! They are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and assisted me with all my speaker/installation questions.

This place is awesome, conveniently located off of Gordon Highway this place carries everything for your car audio needs and more. Everything from speakers, head units, amps, speaker boxes, lighting, alarms and cell phone accessories. Lawson's has more inventory then major competitors in stock and ready to go if you need professional installation they can handle that as well. This place has the audio game on lock in the Augusta area. Hands down the best in Augusta if you're looking for any audio for your car this is the place!

Came in to Lawson's on Gordon Hwy spoke to Morgan and he was awesome. Came out to my vehicle to address my audio issue and made great suggestions on improving my audio system. Ended upgrading my system based on his advice and experience. Made sure he tried to save me money and get me what I needed versus up charging me for things I didn't need. Great experience!!!

Lawsons are crooks They put a system in my suv and asked e to sign off one it before it was ready . It was pathetic and not what I wanted or even payed for . I turned to the owner and said this was not what we talked about and has no sound. I asked him to let me return the off brand knock off speakers and amp. They informed me that I signed the paper and it s too late . Do not sign off until you hear it play . They also improperly wire the speakers so you will spend more money trying to get the sound you want . Do not support this business . They are con artist .

Exceptional service at Lawson's! They were very helpful getting my stereo system situated, with fair and reasonable prices. My salesman Demetris was also very solid! Top tier sales and service Thank you guys

They deserve 0 stars. If you value your vehicle do not trust Lawson's. They do not stand behind their work, and they do not value their customers. Took my brand new vehicle for a speaker install. Their teck broke several fuses under my hood which caused my interior cluster panel lights to not turn off. Of course they did not except responsibility nor did I receive a refund. The 2 ladies behind the counter treated me like it was my fault when I paid good money for them to provide a service. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Lawsons are hit or miss. Good for buying basics like speakers, boxes, wire harnesses, etc. However, DO NOT purchase an amp or radio or you will get screwed. They'll sell you faulty equipment and wont stand behind it. They even shorted out my back up camera in a radio I got elsewhere that was working when I got there and declined to accept responsibility. When you bring a problem to their attention they act as if you're bothering them.

UPDATE: Owner did return my call as advised. He answered my questions thoroughly and I accepted his explanations. I also visited the store today as we thought we had an issue with the cam we purchased not recording properly - issue was resolved immediately. I am satisfied and thereby updated my rating from 1 to 4.BUYER BEWARE: I purchased dual car cameras (front/rear). I asked very pointed questions before my purchase. The salesman provided 3 specific and crucial points which led to my purchase (1) access to mobile app to control the camera (2) SD card for storage (3) automatic recording if in an accident. I decided to purchase and over the weekend decided to help my son setup the mobile app.Issue 1: we were sold the Acumen XR10 (retails $199), mobile app and wifi connectivity are tied to the Acumen XR10 PLUS (retails $300). Guess how much I paid for my camera - $300. So, either I was sold & subsequently installed the incorrect camera or Lawson's Audio marks up their products significantly. Either way, it is not ok so BUYER's make sure you do your research before you purchase. I did some however I am not technical and unfortunately had to rely on who I assumed the experts were. Either way, I as a single parent looking to give my child a nice Christmas feel as if I was taken advantage of by this company. Which leads to...Issue 2: I called Lawson's today to speak with someone. This company has 2 locations owned by the same person. The Washington Rd location (where I made my purchase) was closed today. The Gordon Hwy store was open so I called and asked to speak with the owner. The lady who answered explained the 2 stores are owned by the same person BUT they do things differently at each store. I needed to call my store tomorrow. I explained the locations are irrelevant if the owner owns them both. We went back and forth for a bit, I then asked -"are you saying I cannot speak to the owner of Lawson's?"The lady took my name/number. I directly stated I wanted to speak with someone today. We will see if that actually happens. I will update once I speak with someone.Signed - Bene Turner

My experience was great! They installed a new system into my vehicle very quickly and it sounded excellent. They even hooked me up by helping me plug in with my laptop so that I didn t miss a beat at work. They were very cool friendly and knowledgeable. Would definitely see them again!!

From the moment I arrived I was greeted with exemplary customer service from everyone. I had a busted headlight and had been to numerous places before being referred. The guy who fixed it for me was wonderful. He was professional and didn t stop until he got the job done. Will definitely be back in the future.

Great selection of equipment, great selection of accessories and necessities for all you car audio. Easy selection of a Sony receiver and rear camera, quick and efficient installation. All at a fair price. Give them a call or stop by, they know their stuff.

The people are very respectful and want to assist you with ensuring you get exactly what you need/want. I didn't feel any pressure to purchase a higher end model and received some great advice when I was asking questions. The service was fast, professional and showed me how to use the new stereo. I'm planning on bringing my other vehicle to this place again. Thanks Lawson's Car Audio for the great job!

The most irritating process over a two week process a failure. I initially went to them on 03/26/2022 to get mine radio fix it was no sound coming out so got the parts but of course one of the key parts was missing out the brand new package(in their inventory) instead of trying to accommodate for that on their part I wound up having to pay for it completely separate on top of the other original package which they said would be specifically compatible with mine back up camera. So they finished the job only to tell me the sound work but mine back up camera. Than instead of trying to fix the problem then I stated to come back the following Saturday 04/02/2022 and quote me a set price. So with mine expectations set set I came back only to get greeted with as if no previous agreement was met, than tried to give a entire different price. I would not have mind paying for it but as mine third time returning I m very unsatisfied with their service. As a single mother with really no knowledge of radio stuff feel as if taken advantage of a d waist of money and time. I definitely would never recommend this place to anyone!!!

Lawson's is the place to go! They have a great selection of inventory. They have great prices and they give you options of what to buy instead of just taking your money. They do a great job installing too. I highly recommend coming to Lawson's. You won't be disappointed!

I chose Lawson's based on word of mouth and positive online reviews. From A to Z they did an excellent job! Morgan and his sales team gave recommendations and explained why. I was not just being sold stuff, it was was educational. The cost came within my proposed budget and the sound is amazing! Darrel did a great job with the install, very clean work.

I've always had a love for bass. So I married a guy that has a love for bass as well. Over the years of our marriage we have always bought everything needed for a jam up system and we have always gone to Lawson's to buy our speakers, amps, mids, tweeters etc. but have always built the box and installed ourselves. This time we decided to let Lawson's handle everything and boy did they do an amazing job. I am absolutely on cloud nine with their work. It was great to feel welcomed every time we walked in the door. It's not everyday you can walk into a store and feel like you are one of the crew. They always greeted us with smiles and the knowledge inside those walls is just out of this world. I highly recommend Lawson's to anyone and everyone, whether it be just to get some information, advice or a custom install like we did. Trust me, you won't regret it.

I have mixed feelings about Lawson's on one hand they have never steered me wrong and they've always set me up with really good quality audio systems. On the other hand about every other time I go in there it feels like I'm being a nuisance asking basic questions about the best subwoofers or system for whatever truck I happen to be in. In the end I'll always go there they have some of the best prices locally & their installers do an excellent job and they have never steered me wrong for the most part their staff is obviously very knowledgeable about what they do as well. I've been extremely happy with every system they ever hooked me up with which is somewhere around 15 of them at this point.

I've been coming to Lawson's for all of my gear for 10 years and they have never let me down! The whole crew treated us like family over the last 5 weeks that we spent doing this latest build. We will be bringing our SSR in soon for some work and every other vehicle we ever own. If you want the best then Lawson's is it. Period.

Went to Lawsons on Tuesday morning got a quote to install wires for a sub. Was told they were booked and to come back Wednesday morning they open at 9 am and it s first come first serve. I returned on Wednesday morning got there about 8:20 am waited had 2 people in front of me. They opened at 9am I went in explained what I needed and explained I was told to come back on that day. The tech along with the lady there said they had prepaid jobs they need to do and they were booked so I need to wait around in hope they will get to me or return another day. I don t know what they think but people do have jobs and other obligations they need to work on their booking system or if it s first come first serve then stick to it. I won t be returning nor will I spend money there anymore.

Excellent experience with knowledgeable and friendly staff. Purchased a radio and roof-mounted DVD player and had them installed. Prices for components were slightly above "big-box" stores, but reasonable. Competitively priced labor. All told, the cost was about half of what I was getting quoted from other local audio places, but the installation was of a high quality. Would go there again and will recommend to any for car audio needs.
