I recently moved to the area and my vehicle needed to be serviced. My neighbor recommended Bowyer Built Auto so I gave them a call and they were able to give me an appointment with a few days. Once I arrived for my appointment I was greeted by Michael and he promptly diagnosed the needs of my vehicle and ordered the parts. He fixed everything the same day and even stayed late ensuring the job was done right! We will definitely be going back to Bowyer Built Auto for our auto needs. My van broke down and as busy as they were they worked me in same day. Very courteous and knowledgeable. I don t see how they stay in business with their low prices. Yesterday, I took my car in for repairs to Bowyer Built Automotive. The service I received there was exceptional! Michael, the owner, is truly outstanding and you can trust him. He has been my go-to mechanic since 2018. Michael always take the time to diagnose any issues and clearly explain what needs to be done. I highly recommend Michael and his team! I can t even tell you how great this shop was for me when my catalytic converter went out. Michael worked me in, and told me it would be 2 weeks till he could do it for sure but would work on it as he could. The problem was big, and I wasn t worried because I had a backup car available.I got a call today and it was ready nearly 9 days earlier than I was expecting. It was a true blessing, and I have never been more pleased with the service I was provided!Mind blowing business owner, business performance, and overall experience.If you need your car repaired he is by far the best choice!

I would highly recommend Michael, and his team to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy service. The staff are friendly and helpful, and they take the time to explain things to you in a way that you can understand. They have never tried to upsell me on unnecessary repairs, and they have always been honest with me about the condition of my cars.

Absolutely best shop and owner this side of the Mississippi and beyond. No need to take your vechile anywhere else just call Bowyer and set up an appointment and have trust that your ride will thank you when it done.

I would not recommend this business. I requested an estimate for an exhaust leak. I brought the vehicle to the shop on a Saturday and left it for them to assess. I was given an explanation of the problem and an estimate. Another appointment was made. The car was dropped off before business hours. I received a call later in the day that said the problem was different than what i was told and the estimate went up $300+. Unless you have time to waste and money to burn, i would avoid this shop. Lesson learned - get it in writing because the owner acted like he had no memory of our previous face to face discussion.Service: Auto exhaust system replacement

Bowyer Built has consistently been my wife and I's go to auto shop for preventative maintenance and any issues with our cars. Michael the owner is excellent in his work, professionalism, and integrity. Took my vehicle in to verify and replace a bad wheel bearing. They quickly test drove my car and had it in the shop. Called me a couple hours later with the job complete. Michael and his team did an amazing job at replacing bearings, brakes and a sensor on my truck. If I could give Mike and his staff 10 stars I would! Not once, but twice Mike went out of his way to assist me with the battery trouble I was having bc two stores were unable to diagnose the battery problem correctly. Mike was patient, kind, and educational during each encounter. He was customer service centric and cares about doing what's right by the customer; Not what will get him a quick sale. Bowyer Built Auto has gained a life long customer out of me and my family simply by their character and heart of service. I had an noticeably great experience with Bowyer Built Auto and more specifically Michael and Brittany. We are a military family, have experience getting auto repair in many different locations in the country, but have not lived in this area that long. Bowyer Built was recommended by word-of-mouth to us and I cannot vouch more for an auto repair shop and the manner they dealt with suspension complications on my son's vehicle. They were communicative, timely, and their honesty and integrity was very evident. I intend to use their services again when the need arises as long as we live here.Thank you both.S.D.P.S. Not sure where that 1-star review below is coming from regarding a 2020 Honda Accord, but certain it is a shot at the business for letting her go. Take that with a grain of salt. I went to bowyer built to get my oil changed and my brakes changed. He did not try to cheat me and told me my brakes didn t need to be changed and were at 40%. Most mechanics would have just changed them and and found something else wrong with my car too. I will be returning to get my brakes done when the actually need to be. This is the only place I will take any of my vehicles to be worked on. I can always count on them to be honest and knowledgeable. Once you find someone with integrity that works on your vehicles, you keep them. Ive never had a repeat problem, or something else come up after having repairs done. I have a 2002 F150 that has had general maintenance and repairs done, and the quality is outstanding. The prices can t be beat either. You know up front what you re getting and the work is the upmost professional. I also have a Jeep Wrangler that hasn t needed any repairs, but they ve helped install some upgrades to it. I have had family come here and have repairs done, and they have raved that the folks here are second to none. Thank you guys for your honesty, professionalism, and outstanding work. We took my husbands truck to Bowyer Built to see if it was worth it to fix it or trade it in. Luckily they were able to fix his truck for a reasonable price and helped us save money from buying a new vehicle. He was quick to communicate if any additional problems occurred and if it would delay the time it took for the truck to be ready. I would highly recommend them to anyone that's looking for a trust worthy mechanic.

While traveling from another state I ran over something on the interstate. It punctured our oil pan. We were so lucky to get connected to Michael. He worked with our roadside assistance company to have our car towed. He did a great job replacing and fixing the oil pan in a fast and efficient manor. The cost was significantly lower than the original shop quoted. His honesty, integrity, professionalism and kindness where impressive and much appreciated during a difficult time.

My daughter is a college student in Augusta and had a problem with her keep. I live in Atlanta and needed a mechanic that was honest and reasonable. After making a few calls in Atlanta I was directed to Auto Zone in Augusta who highly recommend Bowyer Automotive. Michael answered when I called and reassured me that he would be honest and fair with the repairs. He was a man of his word and I will definitely recommend Michael and Bowyer Automotive.

Michael and his team are professional, courteous, and quick. We regularly drop off our fleet of vehicles for all kinds of service. Michael takes care of everything big or small and does it quick with good quality. I never feel worried that I m paying for things that don t need to be done. 5 stars.

Michael and his tech replaced a wheel bearing on my new 2020 Honda Accord and it was installed wrong and Michael knew so. I ve asked for it to be fixed and now Michael is telling me to take my business elsewhere bc I no longer work there. He knows just as well as the tech that is still there that the wheel bearing is messed up. Poor way to do business. I used to work there and basically ran Michael s shop while he came in with hang overs and done what he wanted to do. I went from receptionist to service advisor to service manager to office manager, getting his lunch daily running his errands etc all for $14 a hour and I was under paid so I left his business.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Can't say enough good things about Bowyer Built Auto, Inc. Brooke (the young lady who runs the place) and Michael (the mechanic who worked on the van), are just plain old good people. Had a check engine light. Tacoma was running very roughly. AutoZone scan pinpointed cylinder 3 was missing. Took to Bowyer after changing spark plug and ignition coil. I was informed that the compression on cylinder 3 was 30 psi, the engine was blown and I would need a re-built engine for $4300 plus $1580 installation. I begged Bowyers to pull the valve cover and check if a valve was sticking open. "No, we don't do that. The compression shows that the engine is blown". I took the 4 cylinder Tacoma to master mechanic that knew what they were doing. Cylinder 3 had lower compression compared to the other 3. The mechanic scoped the cylinder...no scarring and valves looked good. Next, he used a fuel injection pulse tester on all injectors. Guess what, cylinder 3 was not firing. Replaced with OEM for $180. Works great. Lot cheaper than $6000 for re-built engine. Like I said to Bowyers, if the window in my house is broken, I don't buy a new house. Get the diagnostics correct before recommending a new engine or junking the vehicle.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had some work done on my Nissan truck. They went out of their way to provide the service and recommended a fix to another issue found. The service was excellent, and the price was very affordable.
