These guys were actually my third choice, as my favorite shops were backed up. It took much longer to repair my car than anticipated, by weeks. They never once had the courtesy to call and update me on the repair progress, I had to literally CALL THEM every week, which is unprofessional in itself. My car was returned filthy and covered with leaves even though they own a car was right in front of the repair center. And sadly, after returning home from vacation I then noticed the paint mismatch. It was cloudy the day I picked it up, but now in the sunlight the difference is significant. I left them 2 messages about it but never got a return call. Go elsewhere, very unsatisfactory.

Matt and the team have performed a number of body shop repairs for our family. Recently replaced a bumper on my truck after struck in rear. Painted bumper look as good as new! Truck was washed, waxed and even inside windows cleaned !! Hope we don t need body shop work - if we do we will be going straight to Matt and crew at Kong s Body Shop.

Called in beforehand to get an estimate to change a tail light, already had the part just needed to pay for labor. Was told under 100 dollars, when dropping off the car, was quoted 150. That s over a 50% price markup from what I called in. They said they had to take off the bumper.Bought to tools myself to do it and completed it in under an hour with 0 experience. Anyone with better tools and actual car experience could probably complete this in 15 minutes. Seriously a joke that they tried to charge me 150 dollars for 15-30 minutes of labor. If the pricing discrepancy is this high before I even dropped off the car, who know what they would have tacked on afterwards. Would not take your car here.

I've been going to Kong's for more than 25 years and referring everyone I know to go there for body work. Not one person has complained about the timing or quality of their work. Everyone who I've sent there refers them too. Great peeps. Heading in today for yet another oopsie!

They gave me a lighting fast online rough estimate from pictures of the damage to my car. Turned out the car was a total loss, but I appreciate the quick response.

Overall, I do not recommend you go here, unless you really have to. Even then, watch what you are signing up for, they will charge you for storage.

They do a great job but it's customer service not the same as years past.I have been there 3 times in the last 15 or so years when the owner was the face of the business, this time is someone else, and it's not the same.

Kong s Car Wash and Body shop, Cheshire Bridge area, Atlanta. After a fender bender in a small collision pushed in my new car fender, I had been very reluctant to drive here as the wheel scraped against a secondary radiator (for transmission fluid). The insurance approved body shop was backed up and not willing to consider a date before May 25! I needed to have the radiator moved back into its original place so the wheel would move freely. Kong s who I contacted just yesterday, had me come in today, fixed the problem and even adjusted the fender, so I can drive w/o worry about further damage back to SD where I ll get it repaired.The icing on the cake is that the owner refused to accept any money for the work, despite my insistence. No wonder the place is highly recommended and the car wash busy. Quality work is great but a genuinely nice human is exceptional. Peace Ram

HORRRIBLE BODY SHOP!!!!!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE ! They will give you back your car worse than you gave it and they are super unprofessional and curse a whole lot when you question their poor labor. They are con artists, especially the owner! Please save yourself the time and headache and DO NOT GO HERE !!!!!

UnprofessionalHorrible qualityOverpromisingRecently I had damage to my truck I figured I would take my truck back since I ve used them in the past with no problem. Before I dropped off the truck I asked if they could have parts ordered so that I wouldn t have to be driving around a rental. They assured me they would get the parts and the work would be done within a week. Well over a month in which the insurance company stopped paying for the rental my truck is still not ready. I kept being promised a completion date that kept getting pushed back over and over. Finally after being told the truck is ready, and going to take delivery I noticed the tail light was still damaged. Not only did they order the wrong light they also thought they could install the light without being recalibrated. Also quick note I was told my truck was being worked on I showed up to pick up some things from inside the truck only to find out that it hadn t been touched.Service: Body & Trim

My first Google review and for the sole purpose of waring folks to be careful with this company. Two episodes of leaving my car to be fixed. Unbroken certified parts replaced with after market parts and the issue was never fixed. Regular mechanic found and fixed the issue. Now, I get to spend more to replace grey market parts on my Lease. Spent over $2k. Lesson learned. Never again at this place. If I could give a 0 star rating, I would.

I went to several body shops before coming to Kong's and they all gave me a hard time or told me they had no availability for weeks. When I came by he said he would work with my insurance and to bring it in whenever I get a chance. The repairs were completed quickly with no fuss.My car was came out perfectly and very clean. I will definitely come back here if needed!Note: They accept credit and debit but with around a 3% fee, but they also accept cash and check. They let me know before I headed into the shop to make sure I brought the payment I wanted.

After Mavis tire messed up my car, they sent me here to have it fixed. Matt lied continuously throughout the process with me and had my car for over a month. Fast forward to several months later and the paint is chipping off (only where they repaired), I never got my tag for the front of my car back, some of the clips for the bumpers is missing.Service: Body & Trim

I had a great experience at Kong's thanks to Matt! It is very intimidating to go to body shop as woman, but Matt took great car of my '17 Honda Civic. Appropriately priced and superior work left my car looking good as new! The car wash afterwards was an added plus, and my car never looked better!Thanks so much Matt!!!UPDATE 06/20/18:Still amazing and fast service! I went this week for glass replacement. Matt treated me so well. It took less than 30 min to put in the glass and any broken glass was removed. My car looks as if nothing happened. Thank You Kong's for turning an unfortunate situation into a pleasant one !!!

Kong's went above and beyond with the body work that they did on my car. When they found additional damage that the insurance company did not quote, they contacted my insurance company and the additional repairs were approved without me having to do any more paper work.They went one day over the quoted time they gave me when I dropped the car off. Can't complain about an additional day when you receive quality work.I would not hesitate to return or send friends to this shop.

It's really difficult to tell if Matt is remarkably dumb, or just incapable of telling the truth. The truth is likely somewhere in the middle, but after five and a half months of being lied to over and over by Matt, there's no reason that anyone should be wasting their time with this shop. It's hard to believe that Matt can order the wrong parts so many times, or fit them incorrectly repeatedly. But after nearly half a year of waiting and Kong doing more damage to the car than they've repaired, there is no reason to take your business to this dumpster fire. Take it to a reputable shop with someone who knows what they're doing and is actually capable of telling the truth, because Matt will lie through his teeth with every sentence just to get you to go away. PLEASE give your business to someone that deserves it, not someone like Matt that has zero integrity.Service: Body & Trim

Just got my car back. Matt was great setting expectations and giving me a very reasonable price. The price for the quality of work is the best I've seen in Atlanta, and delivered my car to me like new ahead of schedule. What's more, a lifetime warranty. I'd recommend to anyone.

I had a minor fender bender and I couldn't drive more than 40 mph without my bumper flapping in the wind. I drove up to the shop Friday morning, had a quote done immediately and within 10 minutes, was able to leave the car. I got the work done for cheaper than other shops quoted me AND they finished the work by Saturday afternoon so that I didn't have to rent a car to get to work. Great service, friendly people and quality work on the vehicle.

Great experience! I went in with minor damage and told them I needed my truck back quickly because I was going out of town. They were done in three days. They forgot to price and order a small trim piece, he fixed that piece for free and paid for a car wash for my trouble. I will always recommend these guys.

The job was done in okay quality. However, you should NOT send your vehicle to this shop if you have to tow your car, because this shop outsources the mechanical work to other shops. This means - nobody will plan on the mechanical repair until your body is done. This will inevitably delay your repair time for at least two weeks. And it's not fun. You risk your own time and money when you choose a under-qualified shop.

Summary:1) Don't expect to receive a call updating you on whether your car will be ready to be picked up2) Don't expect your car to be ready on the day they promised3) Don't expect your car to be in the same condition you left it (make sure to inspect your entire car before you get off the lot)4) Don't expect to be able to voice your frustration without confrontation5) Don't expect ethical business practicesDetails:Left my car to get my bumper fixed on Wednesday and was told it would be fixed by the following Monday. No loaner vehicle was offered nor reimbursement for transportation to get around. Well great. Expecting to have my car on Monday, I scheduled some appointments for the following Tuesday morning. Monday rolls around and I don't receive a call about whether my car will be ready. So I call, and I'm told my car will be ready on Tuesday late afternoon, meaning I have to cancel all of my Tuesday morning appointments or keep spending money on uber. They offer $100 discount for my troubles, but only if I pay in cash (shady tax evasion intents). I go on Tuesday to pick up my car, and they're washing it, which at first I thought was a great gesture. However, they bring my car out, and I see red circle stains at various spots across my hood, my doors, and the top of my trunk. The stains were not coming off, so I ask them to clean it off for me. They weren't coming off, so they brought out some chemicals to help get them off, which it does (thank God). What was the point of washing my car in the first place? Why didn't they use the chemicals in the first place?I go back inside to express my frustration to the Asian guy that's always wearing a hat and his tone and body language become confrontational. I get the sense that he's not the most patient person and he'd be willing to get in a fist fight with a customer. Rather than escalate it further, I get in my car and drive away without any plans to ever return.

I hate leaving bad reviews but I have to leave honest reviews to help others. The lack of communication about the progress of your car is concerning. I had to reach out mutiple times to even know when my vehicle was completed. The main issues I spoke with them about wasn't addressed at all. I got my jeep back and realized that the main issue had not been fixed only to be told that they won't fix it through insurance. Also missing some pieces of my interior that shouldn't of had anything to do with the repairs that were done here so make sure you check your vehicle thoroughly after picking it up. This experience was a hard lesson learned.

I was in a front end accident, and this place was recommended to me, by my boss, by his mechanic. They had my car for a WEEK, all while I was trying to get ahold of them, and didn t actually have contact with them until after they answered my boss s call. So it sat there for a week, without anything being done to it. After we found out what needed to be fixed, it was still hard to get ahold of them, they not answering phone calls and such. 3 weeks later, I finally get my car back, and about 3 days after that, I realized my windshield fluid sprayers were not working. Ok, not a HUGE deal, but still a safety issue that SHOULD have been fixed while they had the car, and was part of what should have been fixed from the accident. NOW, a week after that, they STILL don t have the parts to fix that, and the biggest kicker? My car BROKE AGAIN AND ITS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOOKED AT AND FIXED FROM THE ACCIDENT. And it s a driveable issue. My car is not driveable right now.NEVER AGAIN WILL I TAKE MY CAR TO THIS PLACE. And I m letting everyone I know, to never take their car there again.

So happy I decided to take my car here! I love supporting local businesses and I will definitely be back! Very professional and knowledgable staff. They were also very patient with me in waiting to receive payment from my insurance company. Not to mention, my car looks brand new again!

I have used Kong's body shop twice. I started going here getting my car washed and cleaned and we decided to use them for an accident that we encountered. We had an excellent result with a great price and service. So the next time we had an accident (wooops two in a year) we used them again. Again, excellent service and communications.

We have been going to Kong s for 12 years for all of our auto body repairs. Kong s has done a total of 7 repairs on 5 cars for us. They always make sure to get the work done right and quickly, they deal directly with our insurance company, and their work has held up as well or better than the factory paint.

The towel used to dry the outside of my car and rims was used to wipe the interior! I had to walk over and stop them. They tried to deny it but I advised them that I was watching the entire time because the last time they skipped the windows. They skipped the windows again this time.The staff simply doesn't not care.

Went to get an estimate and Kong was very cocky and rude and refused to write one for me..... Very unhappy experience.... If I wanted someone's business the way he is doing things is definitely not it....
