Where do I start? DO NOT take your automobile here - find another shop! This shop had my truck for damn near 7 weeks only to overcharge me and give me truck back in worse shape than before. I have 3 witness that can attest to the fact my truck was running better before than now. They are trying to downplay the fact they didn t do anything wrong fine I do know my truck was idling and driving smoothly when I dropped it off- draw your own conclusion. Not only is my service engine light on, the light is blinking!! All they are doing is giving me the run around. Stay away from Frank s Automotive - you been warned! If you do drop you car off here take a video of the car running prior to dropping It off so there are no discrepancies. I m reaching out to investigative reporter to hopefully bring some light to these tactics/consider other legal actions to recoupe my funds + damages. Horrible service/experience. The owner promised to make this right two and failed to do so. Stay away from this business!

So this is the second time here. First time was nice professional and accommodating. One day out of the week I m free to get all the run arounds done. To My surprise I was told they had no time to patch a tire. With only two people being serviced in which I was one.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This place lacks organization and communication! And they over charge for poor poor service! They have had my boyfriends truck for a whole week now and everytime he calls to check on the car they either aren t answering the phone or we re given a false time estimate of when the truck will be ready. He s always just about to put the part on and we re having to give them another hour or so which has always turned into another day! We will not be returning!

Do not bring your (luxury car here). I ve brought my Audi A4 2011 here on, November 6,2023 and 30 minutes after receiving my car back it was on fire, once I drove on the expressway. Me, my daughter and my unborn son at the time, was in this vehicle. In total Ive spent 900 dollars on trying to get my vehicle repaired properly.The first time I arrived here at Franks they power washed the oil from underneath my vehicle, because the problem was an oil leak. They charged me 100 dollars that day. The front desk clerk explained to me, that I need to drive the car for two days and bring it back because they can t tell where the oil was leaking from. Drove the car brought it back, they then explained they need to do a diagnostic for the vehicle which was 75 dollars. After the actual repair the receipt was for a total of 723 dollars. This shop doesn t have the proper equipment to scan luxury vehicles exact problem.I ve asked for my money back and the front desk clerk told me no they don t do refunds. I m at a total lost for this vehicle. My safety for me and my family was at risk. Please find a better mechanic shop that will service you for the price you ve paid.

I needed Rotors horribly bad, so Frank s Automotive & Transmission was there for me once again, also installed new brake pads to add to my safety. As usual it s always a for me. Great job Kevin!

Oil change for a mini Cooper.So mid price filter and 5 quarts synthetic.Was told it had a very bad oil leak around some seal or other.It's been several days since I was told that. I've driven the h3ll out of it.Oil level is at maximum still.So they lied.Not all women are stupid about vehicles.

I had an outstanding experience at Franks Automotive Center, all thanks to Kevin. My car wouldn't start, and Kevin went above and beyond to investigate the issue. He quickly identified that the problem stemmed from a faulty battery I had purchased less than a year ago from Mavis. Kevin's thorough explanation and expertise put my mind at ease. He promptly replaced the battery and even conducted a comprehensive check to ensure no other issues were lurking. Kevin's help, kindness, and patience were truly commendable. I am extremely grateful for his exceptional service. Thank you, Franks Automotive Center and Kevin, for turning a frustrating situation into a positive one!

Beware if you're seeking a diagnostic service from this mechanic. Frank's negligence has cost me $5,000.I received a diagnostic about a week ago due to acceleration issues & a check engine light.The mechanic let me know that everything in the car was fine, but it needed an oil change, which they performed. What a relief that was! Unfortunately, that relief was short lived.Three days after the oil change, my car broke down on the side of the road, pouring oil and smoking. I had to get my car towed to my home because I was unsure about trusting this mechanic again. Eventually, I got another diagnostic from a separate shop to learn exactly what happened.While Frank's Automotive Center told me they did a full diagnostic, they missed a critical piece that could have saved my engine from completely failing. It was a connection rod for the oil pan (something like that--I'm not a mechanic myself) that was completely visible when doing an oil change. The rod was about to fail when they did the change, and that would have been obvious.Due to Frank Automotive Center's negligence, I now need $5,000 for a new engine on a car I purchased less than a year ago.I will never go to Frank's Automotive Center again. It's obvious that weren't trying to do the best for me or fully investigate issues with my car.

This was ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE EVER HAD! I took my 2005 BMW 325i in because it was smoking. Oringially I was given a quote of 1700 for seals and gaskets + labor. Every other week I was called with an updated price on updated services that they were unaware of at an additional $500 each call - (2) within a month time frame. When I communicated how frustrating it was to continually have the price increased; I was told by the woman who works the front desk that it was asking a lot of them to fix the car I brought in (in it s condition), though the car had no engine or Transmission damage. It took them a total of 2 MONTHS (8 weeks) to finish the car. When I arrived to pick the car up I was told to pay the balance of now $2700 and that they d drive the car around front. When the mechanic drove the car up, the back driver window of was busted out and the radio was stolen, they re was oil all in the carpets and on the dash and door. I was told there was nothing that they could do because they didn t know how it happen and that the oil could wash out. I then asked them how they felt no need to take responsibility when they had the my car in their possession and they told me not to get upset and if I did I d have to leave. So I threatened to call the police and as I did so the OWNER PULLED A GUN AND ASKED ME TO LEAVE. So I patiently waited for the police across the street. I now have an ongoing case against them. PLEASE DONT ADD TO THE HEADACHE OF HAVING TO FIX YOUR CAR BY BRINGING IT TO THESE UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. This business needs to be CLOSED! They CANNOT BE TRUSTED!Services: Transmission, Air conditioning, Oil change

I was having doubts at first reading the reviews but I definitely had a wonderful experience. Found my new mechanic shop. The lady that worked the desk was super nice got to give her her props and Mr. Rich who worked on my car went above and beyond and also made sure I was good before I left so I will definitely be back for any and everything else when it comes to my car thank you guys so much

I would recommend Franks to my Family & friends always as a Certified Mechanic referred him to me last year for a check engine light problem. Diagnosed the issue with a diagnostic test. Turned out it wasn't the problem that it was thought to be. The problem was resolved in a couple of days. The price was reasonable & well worth it to get my car on the road again. Fast forward. Had a problem with our vehicle not starting. A different vehicle mind you. Had alternator, battery & starter checked out. They were all working properly. Went back to Franks he checked it out pin pointed the problem, 30 minutes later low & behold our 04 Jeep was fixed & we had confidence it wouldn't give us that problem again. Oh & the receptionist is phenomenal. Franks get a 10 out of for me!!!

I had issues with my checkengine light on. Frank looked it over and immediately knew what was wrong with it. He even showed me. I didn't know where to take my car I just moved and my old guy wasn't calling me back. they fixed it quickly and we're reasonable. it drives so well now. I would recommend this place to anyone. They really did an amazing job! My car now has a new place to go. Thank you guys!!! Frank, Terrie and Latosha were so nice and helpful. This place stays busy.

Called in concerning throttle body screw couldn't get out. Carlise said I could bring it in to check if they could get screw out. Got up there guy Jay was able to get screw out in about 7 minutes. Price was a lil high but I do appreciate them being able to get it done

The front desk chick would have you thinking she owns the place. Didn't get service here. She stated my car could not get worked on unless I get a diagnostic.. I already knew what was wrong. Why are you forcing something that is not needed. Then said the parts I had she will not put on my car. Lol. I been having my car for 7 years. Been going to auto advance to get it. Please don't tell me what is good and not for my vehicle. I know my baby like the back of my hand.

Excellent Service. Had to get power steering and belt replaced. Purchased part but dealership earliest schedule was three weeks. MIDAS referred me to FRANKS AUTOMOTIVE down the street. They told me to come in. They did the repair and spotted a problem after installing the part and fixed it too instead of letting it leave the shop. The steering is now better than when I bought it. I will be back.

Had to get my car towed there, they checked it out, and it was a minor problem that they told me how to resolve. They saved me from spending hundreds of dollars unnecessarily. This is a good and honest place.

I dropped off my BMW to have transmission fluid added. They called me and told me that I needed an oil change, transmission service. I told them those services were recently done and that is why I needed fluid added. They told me if I'm not going to have the services done, then I need to come pick up my car. When I got there I asked Frank if they were going to add the fluid, he said it doesn't make sense toand claimed that a diagnosis was done and 4th gear was gone, it needed exhaust & intake VVT Solenoids. He didn't provide the print out of this diagnosis.Service: Transmission

I had a good experience here when my check engine light went on while visiting from out of town. He was able to confirm I could get back to Knoxville without any damage to my car without having to spend time in the shop getting the repair done. He then noticed that my break pads were almost completely gone, when he showed them to me they were about 1 mm thick! He saved me from having to replace my roters and gave me a ton of helpful advice relating to my check engine light problem, which was a mass air flow sensor problem. Frank is great!

I literally brought my car in at 8:30 a.m. with the belief that someone would look at it, give me a call to tell me what s going on & from there forward I can decide if I wanted them to work on it or not. When it was about 1 p.m. and I still haven t received a call , I called the shop and was told they still haven t looked at it, there s about 6 or 7 more cars ahead of me. At 4:30 I decided to just go pick my car up because I still hadn t received a call and low and behold when I went my car was still in the same spot I dropped it off at. The receptionist was so blunt and not sympathetic at al. Just told me to bring it again early Monday & hopefully they can fix it then. Gee thanks for caring.

My brother has been going to Frank's due to location for the last 4 years. I have relocated to the Atlanta in the last two months and he had his car's(3) of them there and always seem to be in need of bringing them back due to lack of knowledge on the first issue. I find it amazing reading all of these great review's and not receiving great service. I get it, everyone has different issues with their car's but i will be paying for a different shop regardless of the close location.

They lied to me and told me I need a new engine and tried to charge me twelve thousand for a used engine and labor. When all I needed was a new cam lobe gear and a new cam idle. The parts were two hundred dollars. Big difference in fixing the problem and pricing.

Young receptionist talking with eyes closed and air of arrogance contradicting what Frank said was wrong. They charged me over 400 and had me come for car and it was STILL DOING THE SAME THING.. then after having the wrong part sent and returned was told I'd have to pay another 157. Had to call them to check on car was told it was driven and ready..but once I get there it clearly wasn't checked. They put it BACK ON SCANNER and young mechanic admitted that when he drove it earlier it was STILL SHAKING!! THEY DID NOTHING. Frank kept talking over me and calling me "honey"! I wanted to rip off his other arm!!! THIEVES!!! LIARS!!!Service: Engine repair

I AM THE LADY, CARLESE THAT WORKS IN THE FRONT OFFICE AT FRANKS AUTOMOTIVE AND TYPICALLY DON'T GET INTO THE HYPE OF GOOGLE REVIEWS AS, SOMETIMES REVIEWS ARE EXTREMELY MADE UP. AND READING SOME OF THESE REVIEWS I'D JUST LIKE TO TAKE A SMALL STAND ON THE PLATFORM OF NEGATIVE ALLEGATIONS AS IT;S ALWAYS 2 SIDES TO A STORY. AS FAR AS THE BMW GUYS, FIRST, ITS A BMW, WHAT DID YOU EXPECT, SECONDLY, WE DID EVERYTHING IN OUR POWER TO GET THAT CAR UP AND RUNNING IN THE CONDITIONS THAT I AM SURE THEY ARE NOW ABLE TO DRIVE, BECAUSE IT WAS NOT IN DRIVING CONDITIONS WHEN IT CAME IN, AND THIRDLY, AFTER THEM LEAVING IT FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER REPAIRS WERE DONE, THAT'S KIND OF STRETCHING THE TIME FRAME THAT WE NEEDED TO FIX THE VEHICLE. I NEVER GIVE TURN AROUND TIMES, ESPECIALLY ON VEHICLES WITH EXTENSIVE DAMAGE. LASTLY, I DEFINITELY WAS NOT ABLE TO TELL WHEN A WINDOW WAS BUSTED OUT ON OUR PROPERTY, AND THERE WAS NO GLASS IN OR AROUND THIS CUSTOMERS VEHICLE TO IDENTIFY THAT THE VEHICLE'S WINDOW WAS BUSTED OUT ON OUR PROPERTY. AND IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO OUR SHOP BEFORE, YOU KNOW THAT OUR PARKING LOT HAS THREE DIFFERENT BUSINESSES IN IT, THEY NEVER BEEN HERE BEFORE SO THEY WOULD NOT HAVE KNOWN THAT. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT AROUND IN FRONT OF CDH ENTERPRISE WHERE THE OWNER OF THAT BUILDING ASKED THEM TO MOVE AND INSTEAD OF DOING SO, HE CONTINUED TO BE HYPER WITH HIM AS HE WAS WITH US, THREATENED TO HIT HIM WITH HIS CAR AND THAT IS WHEN THE OWNER OF THAT BUILDING PULLED HIS FIREARM ON HIM. SO AGAIN, I AM NOT USUALLY BIG ON THE HYPE, BUT I AM VERY BIG ON WHAT THIS COMPANY STANDS FOR AND I WILL NOT SIT BACK AND HAVE OR REPUTATION SLANDERED BY NO MEANS. The BEST!!! I am now editing a post that I posted over 1 year ago. When I tell you Mr. Frank is good at what he do... Whatever problem you are having with your vehicle, Mr. Frank will get you back on the road in no time. Mr. Frank entire team is awesome. I love these people as if they were my own family. Oh yea, I cannot forget about my girl Tosha at the front desk, she makes it happen. She is so pleasant and helpful. THANK YOU SO MUCH MR. FRANK AND HIS TEAM!!!
