This location's service is HORRIBLE. I've tried coming to this location because it's within walking distance from my home but never again. I've had two back to back incidents here.The latest incident occurred this past Friday 4/5/24. I dropped my car off at 11:55a to get an alignment. The HELPFUL woman at the front told me there were only 2 cars ahead of me but it may take them a little while to get to me. I ended up leaving my keys with them and walked home to finish working while they worked on my car. After a few hours passed, I gave them a call to check on the status of my vehicle and I was informed they will start working on it soon -- this was around 3:00pm. At this time, it is now 5:00pm and I decided to walk back up there since I had finished my workday. I also needed to be somewhere by 6:00pm that evening. When I arrived at Firestone, I was BEYOND SHOCKED to find my vehicle sitting in the same spot I left it. When I asked the man upfront what was the reason, he couldn't give me one. MIND YOU, everyone that came in after I dropped my car off was already done with their car so I was pissed. I ended up having to take my car without the alignment.DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS LOCATION. You will be disappointed.

Avoid this place. Went in for a simple oil change and left with engine light on. They overfilled the oil, causing the engine, light and overfill of oil light to come on. Never had this happen before.The arrogance of the staff members nonchalantly didn t care about my time to get this fixed. Their response was oh just drop it off.How does fire stone mess up a oil change? This is ridiculous.

I came to get 2 tires installed, rotated, and since I paid for lifetime alignment I got that service performed also. I dropped truck off at 9:39am and didn't get it back until after 4pm. I drove on the intestate and at a fast speed the entire truck started shaking to the point I slowed down below the flow of traffic. I called firestone and they told me to bring it back. At the same time I informed them that the air pressure sensor were not working on any of the tires. I arrive and they told me the shaking was due to only 2 tires being balanced. They told me to come back Monday because it was 5:45 and they were closing. Later on that evening as I was detailing my truck I saw that I was missing a lug nut and the rest were loose on 2 tires. Does anyone check the work performed on the vehicles? I want to stay loyal but the front office has negative attitude and then the work was shotty..

I brought my Jeep Wrangler in for brake/shock work and Ray Martin and his team were down multiple staff members. They stayed after hours to get the job done and worked with me to find and apply any coupons/discounts that may be available for the service. He was knowledgeable, good humored, and provided excellent service even though he was short staffed. I am grateful!

I recently popped a tire and needed to replace all 4 tires. I went to Firestone (Howell Mill), as they were the only ones open. I spoke with Ray and the tires I needed were at another store. Instead of making me wait for the Courier, Ray went and picked up the tires himself and brought them back. That is what I call high level customer service. I found the prices to be reasonable and they have a lifetime alignment you can get for just an extra $100. Overall, I m very appreciative of the efforts Ray and his team made. Great job!

Corporate needs to audit this location more often.Today 1/26/24, I was here for tire alignment and rotation at 11:20am, was told it takes 1-1.5 hours, called at 1:20pm, was told that the car is ready and I can come to pick up. Arrived at 1:30pm and still have to wait for an hour. Left at 2:30pm, and instantly heard thumping sound. Drove back to Firestone to find out that they rotate my front and back tires - they were different size and should not be rotate front and back, but sides only.In summary, a simple tire alignment and rotation, which was quoted 1-1.5 hours turned out to be 4 hours affair.It used to well run, but sadly, recent experience turned out to be very disappointing.It needs to be better managed or with better mechanics.

Updated review: Everything went well with the exception of a damaged valve stem. It could ve been fixed when I let them know that my drivers side tire wasn t holding air after they installed the new tires. Nevertheless I took it back the next day and they fixed the issue with no problem. If you make an appointment just know that it will be most likely a 2 hour wait regardless of an appointment or not. I guess it s a rule of thumb for this company. So just make sure that you have time. All in all it wasn t a terrible experience. Gave 4 stars because of the valve stem.

I have a Honda and was rung up and continue to receive emails about a Lexus vehicle, which is incorrect. I was charged twice for 2 vehicle services and will check my statement again to see if I was refunded Monday. My valve cap was not put back on and my tires were not rotated as the service member said. I also asked if my fluids could be checked and wiper fluid be put into my car and that was not done. Some of the contents in my glove compartment were on the floor when I got my car back. It took nearly 3.5 hours for a filter change and to patch my tire. I did not have a good service experience and would not recommend this location.

Honestly, the lack of communication was the biggest issue for me. I made an appointment for 9 am and I came early to drop my car at 8:45 am. I had to call back around 1:30 pm to be told that they have not looked at it yet and I will get a call later. After that, they had to call to get parts, then the one part was wrong. Essentially, I did not pick up my car until 3:30pm the next day. It was not a smooth process and I had to move my schedule around to accomodate their delay.

So first of all on day one they quoted me for a diagnosis. They charged me $140 and all they did was plug in the code reader. I have a code reader I didn t need that. Then they tell me come back tomorrow and we ll do a smoke test. They said dropIt off in the morning and they would do it while I was at work. They knew what time I got off. It was there all day and they didn t touch it. They never called to tell me it wouldn t be done. They didn t apologize when I arrived to pick up the car. Didn t try to offer a time when they could get it done.

Mr Chip is a phenomenal mechanic and a honest man and this is a great He has a great heart and is not going to cheat you. ANY time u need help Chip is your guy. I'd trust him with my car any day any time. AMAZING SERVICE!!! FULLY RECOMMEND THIS SHOP!!!

Was in a rush and needed a quick oil change. Took them over 2 hours after a scheduled appointment. Tried to charge me over $200 for an oil change and air filter swap. This was for a 2009 Toyota Corolla. Also didn t leave a sticker saying mileage/date for next oil change nor tell me (don t necessarily need it but that s a given for every oil change I ve ever gotten). Mind boggling how this place is in business.Do not go here.

First off let me say that I don t write many reviews. In addition, I understand that one unpleasant visit should not affect my view of this particular location. However, this 1 start review is based on accumulation of things.Today s encounter is the tip of the iceberg. I dropped my car off at the intended appointment time at 12PM 11/20 for oil change, tires, and inspection. I was told I would receive a call. The location closes at 7:00 PM. I had to call this location at 6:30 PM for an update since no one decided to call me. I was told they are still pricing everything then proceeded to tell me their recommendations. I was asked if I was going to pick up tonight or in the morning. (Remember this location closes in less than 30 minutes at this point.) I elected to pick up in the morning. I said I ll be there at 7:00 AM when they open. I was told to be there at 8:00 AM to pick up to allow staff time to get organized.Today 11/21, I decided to show up at 9:45 AM to pick up my car. I understand things are not perfect, so I gave you over an hour from the time I was told to be there, in order to have things together. So why are you telling me at 9:45 the next day that you haven t even started on my car that I dropped off yesterday at the appointment time. What was the point of the appointment time?This location is highly unprofessional, disorganized, lacks communication, and I would highly recommend a different shop all together. Do not waste your money because you will be inconvenienced and your time will be wasted. Please take your hard earned money and time to a different business all together.****Time is currently 5:05PM. I m still without a car. I called at 1:50PM and was told that they are still working on my car. Granted they had not started when I showed up this morning. 29 hours later when my car arrived to the scheduled appointment at 12:00 PM on 11/20!***The time is 6:30PM on 11/21. I arrived back to Firestone, and the car is now on the rack. I m being told that it will be another 30 minutes. This place closes at 7:00PM. So now we are at 30 hours 30minuted since I dropped my car off.

Had an appointment for 10am. Got there at 9. Around 11:30 the woman behind the desk asks me what car I m waiting on. They STILL did not bring my vehicle into the garage until after 12pm. When I asked what s taking so long the woman at the desk with the little ponytail decided to get smart and proceeds to ask me what s wrong with my car even after I had already told them twice and had already put in my issues when I made the appointment online. The mechanic told me my axle was broken and to take it to the dealership. The problem was my control arms and ball joints these people will tell you anything to get you out of there. Do not even waste your time!

I went to the Firestone location (1776 Howell Mill Rd NW, Atlanta, GA 30318) on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 and requested an oil change. I was later told I needed an air filter and cabin air filter which I consented to. When it was time to check out and pay for my services, I noticed the man working obviously making an error on the computer and trying to fix it, I did give it much thought at the time. Once I paid for my service, I attempted to input my email address into the system when prompted so I could get an electronic copy of my receipt. The guy working advised me not to do that and did not allow me to do so. Once I walked out the door, I reviewed the paper version of the receipt and noticed I was charged for a Car Care Package. I was NEVER asked if I wanted this service, I did not ask for it and I NEVER consented to it. When I went back and asked the man why I was being charged for this service that I did not ask for, he proceeded to tell me that it was noted on my appointment that I had scheduled. I NEVER SCHEDULED an appointment with Firestone, so he lied straight to my face and had a smirk as he did it. He did not try to credit me back for this service they FORCED me to pay for that I NEVER asked for or consented to. I wonder how many other people they are force placing charges on and refusing to remove. I called corporate on that same day and was promised someone would call me back within 48 business hours to resolve this complaint and NOBODY has contacted me. Firestone on Howell Mill Rd basically STOLE my money and made me pay for a service that I did not request and that they probably did not even perform.

third time happening. i asked to check my tire pressures. after i got my car back, the tire pressure lights still on (yet they checked 6/6 on all my tires) they told me "drive around, it will go off" which did not happen (again. they told me the same thing before) i ended up checking my own pressures and 2/4 tire pressures were LOW. i think your mechanics are dishonest, and feel they can just tell people who do not know about cars anything. I kept trying to give this firestone chances and everytime i am being lied to. so very disappointed.

4 hours to change a tire. They had to replace some lugs and bolts but they had those by 9:00. Was told it would be a quick turnaround

My brakes were squeaking and grinding so I came in for my front brakes and an oil change. Paid over $1000 for that plus a few other services. After leaving, my brakes were still making the same noises. I'm very limited with my free time so after a month or so I returned to this location for a second inspection. I was told there was no issue with my brakes, but upon leaving I was still experiencing the same issue. I recently went to Toyota instead to have my car serviced as it was time again for an oil change. They informed me my brakes were at 60% of their life. This would be after 2 inspections at this location and only 5,000 miles difference. Thankfully, Toyota did the services I paid for and this location was able to give me a refund for my brakes. But, based off how my car has been running the past 5,000 miles and how it's running now, I truly believe this location did not perform any work on my car at all. Kudos to them for the refund, but I would absolutely not recommended getting your car serviced here.Services: Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Absolutely terrible customer service and follow up. My appointment was scheduled AND CONFIRMED for 9am to get 4 new tires. I dropped the car off and heard nothing until I called back 2 hours later; they said they couldn t find the car even though they have the keys.They finally started replacing the tires at 2:00pm, 5 hours later. DO NOT take your car here for service.

The service here always sucks! I had an appointment today at 1:00 p.m. At 2:20 p.m. they still hadn't taken my pickup truck into a bay. I asked for my keys back and left. Complete waste of my time. I hate this location...

Worst firestone I've ever been to. Extremely poor customer service. Really bad communication. I felt like they were trying to manipulate me. They misinformed me of the price verbally. I felt tricked. They also didn't originally let me use my coupon until I made a complaint. And didn't tell me when they messed up and got the incorrect autopart and thus took extra long since they had to go back for it. I felt uncomfortable at this location. I got there at the earliest time slot and left when they closed. Never going back.

$96 for an oil change lmao. When I inquired how much the service would be before I gave them my keys the attendant said she didn t know but couldn t see how it could be more than $50. I agreed and when I came back the said it was almost $120 dollars (the $96 was with a coupon she didn t tell me about until after my mouth dropped open). I also had an appointment and it took over an hour to complete the service. DO NOT come here under any circumstances.Service: Oil change

Drove in from out of town and hit a pot hole after getting off the highway and blew a tire. Called the next morning and was able to get my tire replaced and alignment fixed within 2hrs. Shop was packed but every customer was attended to and phones were always answered. Thanks again!

I have frequented this location on an off for the past 3 years. I ve never been impressed with their service but I typically only get my oil changed so my interactions were brief. After my visit to this location yesterday, I will never return again.Horrible customer service & quality of workI scheduled an appointment for an Oil change and 4 new tires for 9AM. I did not leave until 1pm.. I know it does not take 4 hours to do that. After the completion of my service I had to come back because my alignment was horrible and was pulling very strongly to the left. Also I saw a number of the employees smoking cigarettes inside of the garage .. which was crazy to me!! I m not an expert on cars but I know that fire, oil, and fumes do not mix well ..The facility was so disgustingly filthy! There were ants everywhere, the chairs were dirty, the coffee machine was dirty, the floor was not swept, the bathroom wasn t clean. It was honestly ridiculous.. Please keep in mind this was early in the morning when I arrived..

Please speak to your employee Dona, please teach her that it takes nothing to be kind and polite to people. I am a first time customer and if I was not desperate I would have left. I mistakenly pulled into a service bay (my crime) Thank you to the kind man-John who intervened, he got in my car and helped me reverse because her harshness made me panic.. when I told her she was making me panic, she scorned she said I am making her panic to the other people causing further humiliation. I literally forgot how to reverse. I am shaking as I write this. When I confronted her, nothing but more rudeness.Service: Tires

This place always has a hard time communicating what was said on the phone is available and then making sure it s in stock when you actually get there. I was told my tire would be there at a certain time, I confirmed by phone it was there and then when I got there and they pulled my car i was told it wasn t there. Then a few mins later they said it was in a different place than usual so that was the reason for miscommunication. They just don t know how to communicate well

This is the worst Firestone I have been to since my relationship started with the company years ago. I asked them to change my Mercedes Benz tires and they ended up messing up my car.I dropped the car at their store with no issues. Benz dashboard is great with informing of any issues but none was on the dashboard. I picked up the car with a MALFUNCTION error on my dashboard. I told the store about it and the man I spoke with actually apologized and said I should call the 1-800 number which I did but a rude gentleman by name of John Tumey sent me an email to say my claim was denied. Apparently after messing up my car, this company decided to create a pre-service inspection (which they never shared with me until now) indicating that whatever was wrong with my car was identified before they started working on the car. If this was true, I believe they would have shared it with me before fixing my car and even when I picked the car up but they didn't. The only time I saw this was when it was used to decline the claim.The amount to fix my car after their mess up came to $919 after paying them about $1300 for the services they rendered with a mess.Bad and costly experience.
