I had a good experience here. Pricing was fair compared to a service center close to me. My only complaint is that I wasn't able to get the car looked at on the day of the appointment. That is probably because I have a Volt, and not all technicians know how to service those. It might be better to call and make an appointment instead of making an appointment online.

TLDR: this location can take good care of you but it depends on which associate you get to work with. To be safe, do your homework or take a car person with you.This was my second time having my 2002 Tahoe serviced at this location. The service was slightly lower quality than my previous experience. I was assigned a different associate this time who didn t seem as knowledgeable or intentional as my last associate. This time, She tried to sell me the service package I d bought at my last appointment, so it was apparent she didn t read my file before my appointment. I also made it clear I needed new wiper blades and more wiper fluid for both the front and rear wipers, but I didn t get more fluid for the rear wipers.I m a single woman so I know I m an easy target at an auto repair shop. My last associate did a great job of talking me through my situation and my options (I had ABS trouble) and I felt like I was able to make an informed decision thanks to his ability to take my questions seriously. I would give him 5 stars. But this time, the associate didn t seem able to answer my questions. It felt like one of those oil change visits where they try to sell you as much as possible and don t even do what you ask. It was very annoying. I would give her 3 stars.

This is a follow-up to my first survey. The service was professional and fast considering I didn't have an appointment. On my first survey I complain because the technician didn't put my lug nut cover on secure. I lost a cover on my way home. A few days later to my surprise David the service director called me and offered to replace the cover. I was not expected that and I appreciate it. The service for my vehicle was wonderful (oil change and 2 recalls). But my service person gave push back about getting me back to my home which is around 3 miles away. When she ordered the lyft she stated oh we have a cut off and it's over that so we would not be able to get you home. I explained what was told to me and she started to talk over me I asked her to not do that she continued to talk over me I asked for her manager. Well she didn't call for the manager right away she let 15mins go by then when he came back to the service department she said something to him. He was very nice and made arrangements for a ride. If they say that she is my advisor I will ask for another person or go somewhere else. I've never had a bad experience until that day.Service: Oil change

I took my car in after seeing the Stabilitrak service light come on. I was told the battery needed to be replaced which was fine. What I did not expect was when I went to pay that there was a hidden shop fee that they couldn t really explain. He did not mention that $35 when he told me what the price would be which is poor form. I don t appreciate hidden fees so I won t be back.

My husband and I had a good experience at Jim Ellis. Sonja Brown was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. Have had to take my cars here out of proximity to the house, but other than Vlad, the experience has been sub par routinely. They ll keep your car for 10+ days, with little communication and if you don t get the recommended repair, they ll hit you with a $200 charge for a report that they can t even produce/supply to the customer. I appreciate the concern about people wasting their time but for a regular customer who has 2 cars in service there routinely, it seems like an override is in order, especially when parts don t arrive in time to get all the repairs done in 1 visit.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Transmission repair

Mr. Christian Locklear was fantastic throughout the whole service process and communicated to me what the techs recommended clearly and professionally. I was also on a tight schedule, but the took me as a walk-in and had the car diagnosed and repaired within the day so I was able to return back to my town the very next day. I was I a tipe of emergency and tried many other places wet they couldn t help me but all the staff in this pace was so kind and welling to help me specially Luis Valdez and other person from (male) from Colombia sorry I forgot his name! They took care of my emergency problem and I am eternally grateful to them. They were like an angels and they took care of me an my family and made me feel that I was in good hands I can only bless them and theirs family. I paid $700 for service that did not repair my vehicle. Came in because my traction control and stabilitrak features have been alerting me they need service for several weeks. I had to schedule service a few weeks out due to lack of available appointments. By the time my appointment came around, the check engine light was on. I explained to intake that while the check engine light was on, it was not the reason for my visit. I explained about the alert I was receiving and that it was intermittent and also detailed the specific driving conditions that seemed to lead up to the alert. I was called and told that my car needed an engine coolant sensor and I asked very specifically if that would fix the traction control and the technician informed me it would. However, as soon as left the service center my car started with the exact alert I asked to be repaired. Long story short, tech completely disregarded the intake notes, stuck a computer in my car and received the error code, and did a repair and service completely unrelated to my complaint. The dealership has not accommodated me for this error in any way and I'm out a lot of money.Service: Engine repair

While the staff is always friendly and work is completed ok, the wait times are outrageous. Everytime I have made an appointment for service, I end up being at the dealership 4-5 hours. I got my radio and sunroof fixed. It took way longer than they told me. My car was in the shop for 2 months. They had to order different pieces so of course they needed more money than they told me in the beginning. When I got my car back whatever was job they did made all my pant chip on every window. When I told them about it they told me it was from the sun. I had my car for 3 years and my paint never chipped because of the sun! I had issue on my car steering wheel and I told them about it while I m doing 32, mile service. And they said everything is fine. However I m back to square one. The issue is still there and planning to go back to the dealer. I m hoping they will give me appointments to see the mechanic. I m waiting their call maybe they will call me tomorrow. My partner called Jim Ellis about 5 weeks ago to schedule her 2015 Corvette for a diagnostic. The vehicle left her stranded several times and she had to have it towed in. She was given an appointment three weeks out. The car sat in the carport and we waited. We had AAA come out and tow it on the day of the appointment and we might as well have lost it in the abyss.No communication, no accountability, terrible customer experience. The car has just sat and they shrug. She calls over and over and gets voicemail. They just want a 3rd party company to text you so they don't have to talk with you. Its all marketing and a way to make a buck.Has Jim Ellis decided that after all these years of outstanding customer service and a stellar reputation that he's made enough money? No need to bother?I was shopping a new Silverado EV the other day. I'm a proud Colorado owner and love my truck. I'd like to go electric on my next vehicle.I will not however be buying a new Chevy from or taking my Colorado to Jim Ellis in the future and I recommend you don't either.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

It took 3 weeks to get my car in for service. Needed a new battery , brakes, multiple things. Some things were still under warranty. It was still expensive for me. The General Manager successfully got my car in and got a loaner for me by referring me to Patrick. After I got my vehicle back, it sounds worse. Still have not been able to get it rechecked by their service department because they have no loaners.Services: Auto brake replacement, Battery

I normally go to Nash Chevrolet but unfortunately they were booked for the date that I needed service. So I decided to come to Jim Ellis and the customer service is good. However, it took over 3hrs just to get an oil change and my tires rotated. My last couple of experiences with Jim Ellis Chevrolet were incredible, particularly compared to previous experiences. This go around, I went in for a routine oil change and wound up having to have some extra work done. The service agent (her name escapes me at the moment but she was great!) was very communicative of what was going on, how long the work would, etc. In the end, I got my truck back the next day and all went well .and they didn t lose my keys this time! Thanks for improving on the customer service Jim Ellis Chevrolet. It s very much appreciated.Services: Wheel alignment, Oil change

I went in for my brakes and an oil change. They sent me off 5.5 hours later with only the brakes done. No oil change. I had to call them to let them know. What were they doing for 5.5 hours? Not my oil change.Great friendly staff though.

Terrible. My truck has been in this shop 5 times in 5 months. The shop has returned my truck 4 times previously, with the notion that the problem was fixed. In all 5 visits, it is yet corrected. I was given the truck back due to your mechanics were unable to fix the issue. So, my truck is still not fixed and I'm just waiting for it to again collapse while driving around this city or while I'm driving in the GA mountains. There is a real problem when your company returns my truck on the 5th time and there is no resolution. I've even contacted GM customer service, and even they are unable to find any resolution. I'm out over $3000 with a "Engine Power Failure" in my future. This is my Jim Ellis experience sense April 2022. Not something I would wish on my worst enemy.Service: Electrical

My Customer Service Representative, Catherine,"Cati" Jackson, was very helpful. She gave me the quote before hand of what it would cost to do the 30,000 mile check-up(without rax) and told me a couple of other things that needed to be done. When I told Cati I was not going to have them done that day she did not push at all. I so appreciate that.And the cost Cati quoted me was what it was at the end(without tax)She was very sweet. I had been to the service center several times regarding concerns I had about the way my car was shifting out. Initially the problem only existed when I was driving at speeds over 70. I was told that it couldn't be diagnosed until there was a system failure. As time went on the problem became increasingly worse. My problem was not diagnosed until Elise became involved. I am still not 100 sure that the problem is resolved but I do have a feel a sense of confidence that she will pursue a remedy.Service: Transmission repair

I scheduled an appointment for tire replacement and wheel repair at least (day before appointment) I arrived before opening and as soon as the doors open, I am greeted as I open my door. They ask why I am there I state I have a blown tire and I have scheduled a tire replacement and wheel repair and I have wheel and tire warranty , they sell me on an alignment and oil change which I had no issue with, knowing I was due for them. I am told to leave my car for the day to have the car Serviced(mind you they open at 7:30!) I have not received any calls by 3:00pm. I call the dealer and state who I am and what car I have. They star they are just starting on the car I then tell them I need the car by end of day 6:00 as that s when I get off. I get no response seeing as I left a voice mail. At 4:45 I get a call saying the car is ready. But they could not complete the wheel repair. I arrive to pay the bill and pick up my car the car is not washed, the wheels/tires are NOT rotated which is included in an oil change service! This should have been handled and taken csre of with the amount of hours my vehicle has been there! I have worked in the car industry for 5 years at MercedesBenz of Buckhead as a Service Advisor, so I know the expectations of a dealership! Didn't like had 2 leave for almost 2wks. I dropped Mr Malibu because he had a oil leak. My service agent keep me informed. Which I would give Five stars. Have to go back 1000 miles for recheck oil leak. Hopefully fingers crossed no more leak.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change

Our car was repaired I few months prior to this visit for the exact same problem. So it was very frustrating to hear they wanted to charge us again for the same repair. Very unhappy about the situation and we ll never return to Jim Ellis Chevrolet. Trustworthy mechanics are hard to find, most people would probably assume being at the dealership they would have better practices and morals. They do not.Service: A/C installation & repair

My back passenger rocker panel was replaced. The part cost $100 but the labor and service fees made the bill $411. It took the tech less than 20 minutes to install the panel. I am very pleased with the service I received at Jim Ellis Chevrolet on my 2020 C8 Corvette. The service advisor Retanza Grier is very conscientious and professional. She constantly keep me up to date with the repairs and was very helpful in my receiving my car back in a timely manner. Ripped me off royally. I would never reccomend anyone taking their vehicle to this place.I vet there is good people working there but this guy was rude.Took my Duramax 3500 for a diagnostic and I was told Vladimir it was a ABS sensor needed. I gave him the go ahead to replace the sensor. Called several times and left message to find out if my truck was ready after being promised a earlier completion date. I had to actually show up on him right before closing time on a Saturday.My ABS light was still on and I was forced to pay for a part they replaced that was not bad in the first place. I told him to take their new parts back and put my old parts back being that problem still exist and I need my truck back, it's been there for a week. He told me I have to pay $512 to get my truck back with problem still existing.To add insult to injury my check engine light came after leaving the dealership in less than 2 miles of driving.Worst experience ever. He was just all about the money with no care for the customer.
