I inherited a 2002 dodge pick up with only 62,000 miles on it a few years ago. The truck belong to my father, who let it sit in the NJ snow for long periods of time due to the fact he had a second car, and his health was failing.I brought the car to GA but it still had major issues with rust on the undercarriage on the brake line system, also major electrical problems. For example, if you blew the horn, the windshield wiper would come on, or if you turned on your radio, the left blinker would start blinking and a host of other electrical issues.I brought the car twice to two different Dodge dealerships for them to charge me an excess of $600 just to be told they couldn t fix the electrical problems.I coincidently met one of the guys from brakes and wheels who told me he had a 1999 Dodge Dakota that runs like a charm I said no way! I brought my car to then and within a week they returned my car, which now only has 64,000 miles on it for a 2002, running perfectly with no electrical problems, brakes working, horn working, windows, and much safer for the new driver in my house to drive once she gets her license!

Jay helped me quickly diagnose an issue with a brake sensor while on a road trip. He reset the indicator lights for me and was incredibly helpful, professional and friendly.Couldn't recommend someone more for good, honest work. Support this man and his business!

Took my car there to get it fix , left it there for a day and they let someone repo my car when it was paid off . They car that had a repo was in there parking lot the whole time so not sure how they got that mix up ! Don t go here they don t pay attention!! They will give your car away and not care !!

The disappointment in trying to support a black owned business they re unprofessional and rude,The place is filthy for real, owner is nonchalant act as if you owe them something screw up your car and keep trying to blame other things instead of just taking ownership and fixing the problem that you paid for with no problem. Save yourself the headache and money and go somewhere else these people aren t mechanics, including the owner. They re just taking a gamble on your car so DONT DO IT!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

The owner Jamel was very professional and explained to me what was wrong with my truck and what may have caused it. The office manager and staff were also polite as well. Brake and wheels had my truck fixed in reasonable time. I will do business with them again as well as recommend others!

It's good last chance place to go. Listen and be patient. And they will get your car right. Emission repair or mechanical. I can only suggest. But, when somebody else screwed you over. They're willing to fix, and break taboo of going behind another mechanic. And if they can't do it, it may be a small fee for diagnostic. ( Might be waived also) but will send you on right path to get your auto problem resolved. It's basically on you to try.

For over 10 plus years, Brake &Wheels has consistently exceeded my expectations of service. From emissions test to complex engine repair, there's no other facility I have yet to compare. Coming here is not only about supporting local business but also investing into my community. It's an amazing place of service where I and my family are treated with respect and integrity.

Man I don't recommend this place to anyone, they discuss a price wait for you LEAVE to pretend to be working on your vehicle only to inform you in an hour or two that you now need this part or piece so that will change the price. I get it but when you call again and again because other parts are needed for a simple emissions test....My car sat for days with them saying we are working on it but not....PLEASE STAY AWAY. I eventually had my car towed away in a worsened condition....I NEVER WRITE REVIEWS BUT I HAD TO SAVED THE NEXT CUSTOMER FROM THIS BAD OWNER WHO IS VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND NO REGARDS FOR YOU THE CONSUMER!!

I would not recommend anyone to visit this place. They will jack up your car and have you return days or weeks and still have the same problem. Do not waste your money but please go somewhere where they will respect your car. I've went there for brakes and my brakes are still squeaking. I've also went there for a replacement air conditioner and they gave me the run around of what I needed and THOUGHT they fixed my car, when in actuality they almost had my car break down on me. So please save your money and go elsewhere with more knowledgeable mechanics because the ones there are drug addicts, alcoholics and perverts. They're only good for changing your oil but I wouldn't even trust them with that. If you happen to actually want to try them out don't EVER leave your car there. I've seen with my own two eyes what they do with people's car when they leave them in brakes and wheels care. Don't do that to your car let alone your pockets.

I tried to support my people s but the way they are short staffed and also said one thing was wrong which I had replaced in 2019 brand new and all it was was a little radiator piece, smh. They told me to take it to the person that put in my new radiator two years ago. Good thing I didn t go back I saved a lot of money. I just hope they do better by their people in the community. I knew it couldn t be the whole radiator. I m also use to companies calling saying this is what s wrong no phone call I had to call smh.

Efficiency for services are not often consistent. I prefer a more dedicated type service rather than a for profit only establishment. Customer services should be a priority; if I pay good for your service, I expect good service. Not a half done job.

They are terrible with communication and worse with workmanship. If you want to have a lecture on why they take so long and do a half job on your car (because they are not a dealership). You should take your care there.If you want professional and kind service. GOO ELSEWHERE!!!

Worst possible experience EVER! Took my car there for an emissions related issue on a Thursday, a week later my transmission wouldn't work after my car had been driven 369 miles! The issues it was taken there for were minor and were NOT even fixed fully after I had already authorized parts to be purchased. I attempted to give them opportunity to remedy the situation and upon coming to check on the status of my car (Mind you, I had to pop up because communication is ZERO! The owner, Jamel, NEVER answers his phone and the actual shop phone is NEVER answered, nor is their voicemail EVER empty in order to leave a message.), a supposed "technician" drove my car into a vehicle parked next to it and knocked my passenger side mirror off! The owner himself is NOT even a mechanic, and is only able to offer you "quotes" from supposed prior experiences from other customers.I would strongly advise you to take heed to the detailed comments hereunder, because no doubt the owner and other ppl who work there probably have had friends and family fluff the ratings on this platform. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else reputable. I don't even believe most of the so-called "technicians" are even ASE certified or properly taught and trained to even work on automobiles.

I had an awesome experience. After a check engine light, which had been on for a year, numerous trips and repairs to Toyota, and a failed emissions inspection, I was running out of options. I was recommended to visit Brake and Wheels by the emissions inspection employee. Long story short, the issue was electrical, which was fixed. They also ran it through emissions and it passed. Toyota of Union City quoted me $5,600 (3,600 to reman transmission and 2K for ECU) for a 98 Toyota whose maximum blue book value is ~$800 in fair condition. I paid ~$300 for repairs at Brake & Wheels.

I took my car to Jays Break and Wheels On Jan 12th to get a water outlet. One day later, my car start smoking and leaking antifreeze. On Jan14th, I took it back up there, the man said he corrected the problem and after leaving, I notice my car started smoking again and was leaking antifreeze. Three days later, I returned for the second time and was assured my car was repaired properly this time, however, on Jan 26th I was driving when my car start smoking again, my check engine lights came on and car started running hot. After pulling over, I popped the hood and find that the WHOLE water pipe had came off and antifreeze was all over my engine. After trying to turn my car on again, I was unable to and found my car unresponsive. On Jan 28th, I had my car towed to the dealership and was told that because the water pump was not placed on correctly, It caused me to blow a head gasket and now its at the dealership with more than $3000 worth of damage. I tried to call Jays Break and Wheels several time and Mr. Quick the office manager was very rude and even hung up in my face. Now, I grew up on that side of town and stay 35 min from the shop, but because I wanted to support a black owned business and put money back in my community, I choose to get my car serviced there. I am now suing Jays Break and Wheel not only for damaging my car, but also for money I continue to lose renting cars to get around and most recently, a medical bill that I got from having a panic attack from going through everything. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this company to ANYBODY. As a woman, they thought that they could get over on me by damaging my car, but little do they know, when its time to stand trail, not only will they find how SMART I am (Score very HIGH ON THE LSAT and got accepted in LAW SCHOOl, but they will also discover that my family is filled with LAWYERS. I have collected ALL DOCUMETS needed to stand trail even going as far as to personally have a few people retest the part and also find out where they went wrong. When Im done, Jays Break and Wheel will READ MY NAME.

Please do not take your car here!! The reviews are correct!! The mechanics are allowed to work on your vehicle based on relation to the owners not experience! Went in for a minor repair and two hours later my car is smoking like crazy and my steering wheel locked up on the highway and I was in a bad accident.. Save yourself, save your car & possibly your LIFE!! Find a reputable place!!!

The owner is cool but he doesn't work on cars. They ruined my car based on the fact that he has inexperienced or half handed mechanics who are totally unable to do anything more than change a tire or brakes. I had to take my car to a real shop. Everytime I have someone look at it, they show me something that was messed up from the job they did. I only gave them one star because it was a requirement in order for me to post this! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR THERE FOR ANY KI D OF WORK THAT REQUIRES SKILL. ONLY SOMETHING THAT YOU JUST DONT HAVE TIME TO DO YOURSELF!!! Like replace the windshield wipers. Sad!

They got my emissions done and my engine light off after installing a catalytic converter. More than 6 Months later and I didn't havent had a problem with their service

Went to Firestone because they were the "name brand" to see why my brakes were smoking. They quoted me $2200 worth on extremely unnecessary work. The guy there swore it was my master cylinder. Went to brakes and wheels, paid less than 200, and found out it was just my calipers. .

Went in for a diagnostic to find out why it was misfiring . They had my car for a week when I found out that the guy working on my car had been arrested while trying to figure out what was wrong . A mechanic said it was 100% better but the car was still misfiring . I wanted my car back to take it somewhere else .He got angry and did something to my car because it leaks oil when it did not before . I took it to a dealership and got it repaired.Service: Electrical

They messed up my car and I came back the next day the inexperienced staff told me it was my struts when the noise was clearly coming from my brakes come to find out they never put one of the guide pins back in my calibur I could been killed driving the car in this shape then when I told them about the faulty job done they got mad at me telling me about a 90 day warranty to why they couldn't give me my money back when I came in the next day I would never advice anybody to go here for repairs unprofessional environment

My Favorite Mechanic Shop in Atlanta. I moved to Marietta and still travel to Campbellton Rd for these Guys! They are True stand Up Black Man Helping And not running game . I Love These Guys

Don't even waste your time going here. Unprofessional and I'm sure there are multiple OSHA violations occurring. Go to a REAL professional who will actually fix your car properly.
