So thankful to have found A&D Automotive. The most impressive qualities about this company is their communication, transperancy, and desire to take ownership for their work. Mr. Donovan and his son were courteous and helped provide me with assurance to make sure my Impala was properly diagnosed after having it misdiagnosed by another mechanic. These guys helped me out in a major way. They for sure have my recommendation. Thank you and God bless!

These guys are wonderful. I had some problems with my truck that another mechanic had trouble diagnosing, so on that mechanic's recommendation I took it to A&D. Not only did they fix the problems, but they did it all in a 1 day turnaround. Constant communication, fair price, and really friendly service means I'll be coming back here for service in the future. Very impressed.

A and D automotive is a family owned business with very personalized service. They replaced an engine for me plus they did cooling system work and general maintenance including an oil change. Very professional and always honest.I am so satisfied with the service we received that I am bringing two other vehicles for them to work on. I trust the information they give me because they are not just trying to make a buck. I ve truly never had a better experience with a mechanic. Donovan and his son (also Donovan) are extremely nice and go above and beyond for their customers. They ve got extremely reasonable prices and worked with me to make sure my car was in good shape within my budget. I cannot recommend them enough!

EXCELLENT SERVICE FROM MR. DONOVAN!!!! My battery died on me AS I was driving to this mechanic, I had to pull over on a side road not far from them. Donovan was gracious enough to WALK to my car and boost my battery so that I could pull into their lot. He replaced my alternator + belt in less than 24 hours at an extremely fair price point, kindness and good communication the whole way through. He even made a point to get the repairs done by the next morning so I could pick it up before work. Seriously GREAT service and my car is driving better than it has in a year. Donovan is an very bless Incredible Master Skill Technician. He took his time and examine my Chevrolet Cruz LT Limited until he found every problem. Once he found the problems he called me and told me.Donovan kept me informed of every detailed. He found problems that the dealers and Firestone did not find or could not fix properly. A&D Automotive is so much better than going to a car dealership. My car not only passed emissions it is running smoothly and amazing. I wasted to much money with Chevrolet & Firestone trying to figure out what was run with my car and having wrong brand parts put on my car that does not work. ***I highly recommend A & D Automotive Inc. Donovan and his son are very nice and professional. Thank you Donovan for Everything!!! God has truly bless you and your business since 1985. I pray God continue to place his grace and favor on you and your business and family. If I could give 10 stars I will.

Except for a new battery, my Honda Fit has never been in the shop, so I didn t have much experience with mechanics.I just assumed I d be overcharged and car-less for a while, so I mentally prepared for that. I found A& D Automotive randomly because I live nearby. My car had a transmission issue that Donovan found quickly. He called promptly and discussed my options with me, and even worked on my car the evening the part arrived, so I only went 1 day without my car. I felt he was very reasonable with the price (I expected everything to be a lot more).I liked Donovan s personality and customer service. I trust him and plan on taking my car to him in the future.

I had been searching high and low for a good and affordable mechanic. My car had been cutting off on me when I came to complete stops and I had no clue what was wrong with it. I m a social worker and I absolutely need my car in order to do my job and do home visits to my clients. I was in need of immediate assistance!!! After calling severalMechanics and getting the run around about time to look at my vehicle or work on my vehicle, I finally came across A&D Automotive. The reviews were absolutely amazing! I called, someone answered on the first ring and told me to bring my car in the same day! Donavon was so professional and personable! I had my car back working 72 hours. Donavon broke down what was actually wrong with my car and what I needed to monitor in the near future. The price was extremely affordable as well! And to top it off, Donavon called a few days later just to check and see if it was still running smoothly and to see if I had any other issues. Customer service was through the roof. I d highly recommend this mechanic shop. Very honest, personable, affordable, and of course professional!

I had a great experience here. Days before the holiday weekend my car broke down and I struggled to find a suitable mechanic. I had already booked a flight out of town so I was in a pinch. Donovan made time for me and my car and communicated with me through the process of repairs. I got a good price for the work he did and he had my car rolling again by the time I was back in town. Courteous and professional, stop by for just about anything car related and Donovan will take care of you.

MUST READ !!!My experience was the absolute best Donovan and his son were very informative!! Very helpful being a young lady on the road having vehicle problems is worrying having to constantly give and give to mechanics who aren t fixing the problem could be very frustrating I came to Donovan frustrated and he took care of every issue I had he put my safey first and for that I will always thank you !! The best mechanic I have been to and I m never going anywhere else thank you to both Donovan s again for being so polite and patient and so helpful I really appreciated you guys also I thought I had to spend an excessive amount of money for the issue I had with my car absolutely not !! The price was very reasonable as well they will NOT put you back on the road without putting you first !! I have always had a great experience working with Donovan. I was referred to him years ago by my brother and I've never been disappointed. I can always count on him to be honest with me concerning my car and not charge me some outrageous price to fix it. If you're looking for a shop that won't disappoint, you can depend on to be honest about what's wrong, and won't over charge you for what needs to be done, Donovan at A&D Automotive is the place to go! :)

I had a great experience at A&D. As a single female I was not looking forward to dealing with a new mechanic but Donovan was amazing. He clearly explained what was wrong and what he planned to do to fix it. He broke the price down (parts & labor). He was fair and I felt comfortable with him. Check him out! He's a hidden jewel! We were on vacation visiting Atlanta from North Carolina and the red battery warning lit up. My husband had recently replaced the battery so we guessed it was the alternator. We were leaving town the next day and needed a repair fast. After calling more than 10 repair shops, Donovan at A&D agreed to take a look at our van. Donovan repaired the van by mid afternoon (knowing we were leaving town the next morning). Amazing ... great service, alternator replaced, good price. Donovan even called the next day to check on us (a first for us from any repair shop). Great job!

Ever since buying my 3rd gen 4runner, I've been coming to Donovan for all of my maintenance and big ticket fixes. He has been extremely patient with me in explaining exactly what the problems are and laying out different options based on severity, cost, and timing. I've been going to A&D Automotive for close to 10 years because Donovan is an outstanding person and mechanic. He is always honest and straightforward with his diagnosis of issues related to my vehicles and providing guidance in what should be addressed now and what can wait. Also, Donovan has been great at assisting my daughter who now lives in DC with translating what mechanics there are saying about her vehicle and instructing her in what questions to ask them about their diagnosis and the related recommendations.

A & D Automotive Was My Authentic Christmas Miracle!'Twas three days before Christmas and I was a mess.My six-year-old import wouldn't pass the emissions test.I was frantic and worried and so out of sorts - until A & D started working and getting the parts.Donovan gave great customer service -- put me at ease.He was steadfast and patient and fair with his fees!My car was fixed beautifully and it runs to this day.A & D Automotive helped my cares melt away.So, if you have an import that "specialists" say is too costly to fix,A & D will repair with tender loving care and have your car running great-- with no nicks.This first-time customer is now a customer for life sinceA & D removed my automotive strife.If I could give ten stars, I would and the best thing of all? A & D is a jewel, two blocks away in my 'hood!

Donovan does excellent work, is communicative, honest, gives reasonable estimates, and stands by his work. After (personally) rebuilding a transmission in an old VW, he realized one of the bearings wasn't quite right and did it over again, and this time it was perfect. Highly recommended to anyone in the neighborhood, A&D will always be my first stop with any automotive question.

Donovan was remarkable to work with. He helped me understand what was wrong with my transmission, guided me through my options and kept me updated throughout the process. He even caught things that needed addressing and fixed small exterior damage free of charge. I felt very confident in his recommendation and will definitely use him again. A&D Auto is the best hands down!, if you re looking for a fair and honest mechanic than Donovan is you guy and A&D is your shop. I have 2 vehicles a work truck and a personal, if you re like me and the maintenance of your vehicles is a top priority then put your fears to rest. My family and I have been going to Donovan for most of my life, and as such he s always cared for us like family. He always does incredible work, for an honest and amazing price, and extremely efficiently. Upon moving to DC for college, Donovan would consistently cross reference diagnoses from the mechanics there to ensure I was getting a fair price and fully understood what their analysis was. He has gone and continues to go above and beyond for us; I m enternly grateful for his time and services.

I was passing through Atlanta on a road trip recently and ended up here due to some vehicle issues. Donovan was very, very friendly and helpful in diagnosing my car for me and helping me get back on the road. I can't thank him enough for his help and honesty - even when he knew I wouldn't be getting my car fixed there because I had to continue on my trip, he insisted on figuring out more of the issue to make sure I could safely continue driving. One of the MOST knowledgeable and trustworthy mechanics I have ever met.After Chrysler quoted me $2200 for repairs, Donovan fixed those repairs and more for less than half that cost.I waited a few weeks after my repairs to review his work - my car is still running beautifully.I will continue to use A&D Auto as long as I continue to drive a car.

I've been taking my cars (more than one) here for years. Donovan, the owner and mechanic, is always friendly and honest. You might find a better deal somewhere else, but you can always rely on Donovan to be honest and that the job will be done RIGHT. Every time I take my car elsewhere, usually for some deal, and something goes wrong, I call Donovan and he tells me what went wrong and why. The shop isn't in the greatest of part of town, but they do good work! If your car ever brakes down near here, this is where you can take it and feel safe.

I took my van here when I noticed a coolant leak while on a road trip. Donovan was so kind and helpful. He was honest, charged a fair price and got the job done couple of hours, helping me get back on the road as soon possible. Great service! They definitely have my recommendation.

I live in Sylvan Hills and was looking for a auto shop that I could rely on for oil changes and the regular scheduled maintenance on my Subaru Impreza. I've been to A&D several times now and the work is always quick and very fairly priced. Donovan is a very nice guy and is always willing to explain the issues in detail before the work is done. This is my home base for auto work now.

What a super guy! I had my break pads done (they were down to the bone, as it turns out) on an emergency. Donovan, the owner, walked me through everything and explained the entire process out in layman's terms so I could understand it--old school, like a local mechanic would back in the day. I'm not used to such service. Recently, I took my car into a dealer for my 50k tune up and they looked at the break pads. They said the breaks were in "outstanding" shape!!! I'll be back. Recommended and another reason to buy local and support small businesses. He even picked me up when the car was ready! #MindBlown

Mr. Donovan provided excellent description of what needed to be done. It was done very affordably and conscientiously. When I went to pick up my car, he demonstrated the repair to prove his work. I will be going back and highly recommend his services! He is a master technician!!! No run-around or B.S. Mechanics like him are hard to find! What a treasure!!

Donovan was great! I am a college student who did not know how I was going to pay for all of the repairs that my car needed. A&D car repair worked with me to fix my car. They actually take time to talk with you about what's exactly wrong with your car. They treated me with the utmost respect, and they FIXED my car! Thank you Donavan.

This is what you call AH-MAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE & CUSTOMER CARE!My front driver's wheel was assassinated by a curb, bending the strut and causing unmentionable damage to my small Honda Fit Sports. I went to several places for an estimate, leaving with a laundry list of nonsense that didn't require attention. As many mechanics will assume i know absolutely nothing about cars, they are wrong! Just a small bit of research, I came across A & D Automotive and decided to try them.Needless to say, Donovan's reception, attention, and overall survey of what I may need were the selling- tools needed for my business.This long story presented short, he replaced the damaged items, fixed what he thought could become an issue later and replaced my previously damaged mirror at an amazing cost! GRATEFUL is the best description I can muster up for this company...
