Really great! Fixed my car nicely, and even ran out to my house to fix my battery when we discovered it had been reinstalled incorrectly. Above and beyond. Highly recommend.

You always think it's going to be a headache when your car goes into the shop but with Specialty paint and body it WASN'T. The staff kept me updated as to how the progress of our car was going throughout the week and answered any questions I had. When I got our car back it was very clean inside and the work done to it was amazing. Highly recommend them.

The staff is super friendly and their communication is top notch. Jason and his team did an amazing job replacing our front bumper after a run in with a deer. Looks brand new and the paint is a perfect match!

Fantastic experience with these guys. Fought to get OEM parts from the insurance company and kept me updated throughout the whole process. I d recommend them to anyone.

I took my car in for a repair after being rear ended. After picking up the car I was greeted with spray painted wheels. My wheels were totally unaffected by the collision. The polished aluminum now has silver spray paint on it and it is quite noticeable in the sun. It appears they tried to hide damage caused while it was in the shop. I decided at the time to let it go since I was too busy to deal with it. I did email the company the day I picked it up. After not hearing back I forwarded that to Joy and Cale for documentation.However, I recently had another bad experience which was a tipping point. My rear view camera was on back order during the repair so I took the car home knowing I will need to bring it back. It finally came in and because I work in Atlanta I asked if I could have the installation done on Friday since it is my only day off. They refused to do it on any Friday even though they are open and it s a quick job. I asked if I could bring it in on literally any Friday months down the road and was told no. The person I was speaking to was almost making an effort to be unhelpful.So without any other option I m having to install this myself even though I already paid Specialty Paint & Body for labor. The manager at the Mitchell Bridge Rd location did not refund this. I would not recommend bringing a car you care about here. They have been a hassle to deal with. Nice up front but difficult when they have you locked in.

I got hit and the insurance company of the other driver recommended this repair shop to me. Front desk staff was phenomenal and always kept me updated on the status of my car and called many times to let me know when my parts were coming in. My car looked beautiful when it was done, and they left it cleaner on the inside and out compared to when I dropped it off. So impressed and highly recommend!Service: Body & Trim

I locked my keys in the car over the weekend and while unlocking the door it bent it a bit. I came to this location and they were able to fix my door that minute in the parking lot AND they didn't even charge me!I almost had to wait for an appoint(next week) but the assessor up front was kind enough to see if someone would take a quick look at it. I am so grateful they we able to fix my car so quickly and they were so kind not to charge me.

Amazing staff and service! They ALWAYS answered the phone and ALWAYS made sure to keep me informed. They did an incredible job fixing my car; looked brand new. I would highly recommend them for any car repairs. The staff was very friendly and very quick to get the job done. They will forever have my business and gratitude.

This company had my car from April -late June. Every other day it was something else wrong with my car and how they needed to get in touch with the other guys insurance to pay for this and that. I was also told that my car had a salvage title which was slowing down the process. However that was a lie because even though my car had been in a previous wreck it was not totaled. I did my research. When my husband picked up my car that day we noticed the 1 of the windows would not let down and my AC was not working (they told us it stopped working) and my check engine light was on and they weren t sure what was going on with it. My car was working fine when they received it, it had body damage from the wreck and a broke axle. No engine problems. So i repeatedly called about my window and my AC not working and i was told, we already put too many hours into your vehicle and we don t warranty parts on salvage vehicles and your car was so damaged & rusted that we can no longer put anymore time into your vehicle .Really???So i had to take my car and get it fix which cost me $730 out of pocket all because they put the wrong wiring kit in my door and they damaged a sensor while removing my bumper.I did receive great customer service up until i was given the run around about my car the whole month of June and was told basically that my car was a piece of junk. 2016 BMWI would not recommend anyone to this company.

Unless you want to leave with more damage than you started with do not take your vehicle to Specialty Paint and Body on Mitchell Bridge Rd for repair! They have great reviews online and Joy was kind and responsive initially but ended up being the worst experience I ve ever had.I m a healthcare worker and was hit on my way to work during the pandemic the week before Thanksgiving (11/20). Car was in excellent condition with low mileage. Never had anything wrong with it and regular service. Nightmare doesn t begin to describe my experience. Took me a week to reach his insurance company and had to wait on police report but got the estimate the day before Thanksgiving and scheduled for repairs first thing Monday morning (11/30). Joy was great with estimate and schedule.I was never updated like I was promised by Joy, had to initiate all updates, car sat there for over a week untouched. They blamed it on being backed up from the holiday yet I was in a rental and told to bring it in when I did. The next excuse was that his insurance company hadn t approved the supplement. I immediately contacted the insurance company and they knew nothing about a supplement but had extended the rental. The supplement was due to the fact that they ordered the wrong bumper and it was also damaged and they wanted his insurance to pay for another. Seems pretty unethical to me. Within an hour of my call insurance approved and part was ordered. I called for another update 2 days later and they said it was ready and to come pick up (12/11).Sadly I left with a filthy car with spots all over hood despite covid cleanup fee, scratches to hood and my paint along both wheel trims where they pried off the trim, scratch to door and trim they swore was tar or dirt, and broken clips so trim was hanging. The front camera was not positioned correctly and no longer worked properly with safety features. They refused to fix the scratches to hood and claimed it was normal wear. First they tried to deny other damage that obviously occurred the two weeks they had it and I had pictures to prove it. Then I was mansplained by Nick. I hate I had to get ugly! They agreed to repaint but fought me on paying for a rental. I need transportation to and from work 5 days a week. Got his insurance company to call as well and they agreed to a rental but again I was responsible for deposit ($50).They had it another 2 days (1/4-1/6) and again I had to initiate updates. Picked it up after they repainted both fenders and repaired broken clip. When I opened my driver door I heard a rattle. Found a piece of broken plastic in the door cup holder (car was empty when I dropped off). Seat was pushed back as far as it would go so I immediately started looking for what was broken and found they broke my driver seat. They seriously thought I wouldn t notice?! They could have owned it or just fixed it and I never would have known.Had to go back inside and demand repair and return a third time (1/8) for yet another repair due to body shop not accident. They told me they couldn t do anything about camera and I d have to take to dealer. Had to ask 4 times for paperwork regarding what they did.Dealer (visits 1/6, 1/9, 1/16) replaced grille and camera on his insurance but I still think body shop damaged it. Safety sensors still do not work likely due to the hand of this body shop when repairing front bumper. I ve got to take it back to dealer but have used every day off for past 2 months dealing with this and I m exhausted!To top it off, 2 weeks later (1/19) I was charged for the rental they agreed to pay for because they never paid for it. Apparently their credit is no longer good there. I can see why! Their mistake overdrew my account because I never agreed to payment, knew nothing about it, and had been refunded deposit (1/9). Still waiting on my refund. Beyond frustrated and encourage you avoid this shop at all cost!Service: Body & Trim

I came here to see if they could replace my busted tail light and within 5 minutes, two of the employees, Cale and James, were out in the parking lot helping me with my truck. The piece I bought online to repair didn t fit perfectly and these guys chiseled it down to fit, and worked on it until it was done. Best customer service I have had on my truck in Athens by far, and if I need anything else done to my truck in the future, I m coming here.Service: Body & Trim

Repaired our Volvo where it looks brand new. The only thing that's wrong is the windshield wiper lever clicks instead of light thump but I'm sure they'll fix it if I bring it back in but other than that A++++

Specialty has done several jobs for me. Repaired a fender after an accident in my driveway, fixed my girlfriend's (brand new black) car after she hit a deer and my buddy's Land Rover after he hit a deer.Every time, the work was done quickly, the quality was very good and the communication was excellent. Very happy with Specialty. They did a magnificent job blending the new paint with the old.

My car looks better than it did before the accident. This is a true family business with integrity (Joy and Mary Beth are wonderful). I hope I don t need another car repaired any time soon, but if I do I will bring it to Specialty Paint and Body.

From the time I walked in the door to the time i drove off the lot, my experience was unlike any body shop I have ever visited. I arrived frustrated and felt raked over the coals by multiple places before arriving at Specialty Paint & Body. To say I wasn't in the mood to be haggled on on labor was an understatement, and I had already braced myself for another unpleasant experience.Chris and Nick were kind, patient, and spent a great deal of time looking at my vehicle with me. They didn't have a "salesy" tactic that we all dread when going to a body shop. I drive a 2016 Ford Fusion that I bought brand new. Unfortunately, a leak in my trunk caused my trunk and back seats to flood with water as it rained heavy the night before. Before agreeing to any work, they refereed me back to the Ford dealership to see if i could get the issue fixed under warranty. Chris and Nick were looking out for my interest and I appreciate that.I went to the Ford dealership hoping they could help, considering the issue isn't a result of an accident. My mileage was 36,020 on my odometer. Ford told me there is nothing they could do under warranty because I was over 36,000 miles. ONLY 20 miles over! They wanted to charge an egregious labor price so I left.I returned to Specialty Paint & Body after leaving Ford upset. While visiting Specialty Paint & Body and working with Chris and Nick, I was treated like a friend. We were able to quickly diagnose the leak and they were able to fix it. The attention to detail and customer service that I experienced was non-comparable to any body shop I have ever been to in the past. I will absolutely be coming back for all my body shop needs. Thank you Chris and Nick.

I accidentally drove into the garage door while the door was opening. . It sheared off the spoiler. I went to Speciality Body and Paint 2 on Mitchell Bridge Road. I had been at Specialty Body and Paint on Jefferson Road several times and always liked their work.I was very pleased with Specialty Body and PAint 2 too. The customer service was excellent and we were served immediately. Since they had the right brackets in stock the attached the spoiler right away and didn t even charge me for the work. Unfortunately, I have had to use them more than once. Even though you never want to have to have your car repaired because of an accident, they make the experience a pleasant one. They even help you through the insurance hurdles. Great service and quality work.

Nick and the whole staff are extremely professional and thorough! It is nice to have a shop so close by that has such a high degree of professionalism. I am very pleased with the work they did to my vehicle. It looks good as new!
