Needed my brakes changed . I told Ray I needed it done by 2 , he was nice enough to get my car in and fixed and was done in about hour. Even tho he had other cars before I got there .Him and Pete was very professional and sweet. Highly recommend!

My son was away at school out of town and had a flat tire and was stranded on the side of the road. I did a quick search and called Pete s Mobile Mechanic and they were more than happy to help out. They made it to my son in less than 25 minutes and he was on his way. Courteous folks! Thank you!

I had a great experience. I broke down on the interstate and Pete came and fixed the issue very fast. He also gave me very useful information on what all my vehicle needs done on it. Very friendly and 10/10 recommend

Pete s mobile mechanic has done a great job every time we have needed help. Both of my UGA students know Pete s can get it fixed. He works quick and has good prices. As a parent he has been our GO TO GUY.

If you know what is wrong with your car, then DO NOT use Pete's. They only want to do diagnostics. Thankfully I found a competitor that came to install the parts I wanted in my car. If you have no idea what is wrong with your car, get ready for Pete's to whip up a quote for you. A big quote.

DO NOT GO HERE. I took my car to get my tie rods replaced and it would obviously need an alignment. As a mechanic, they should have let me know that they can t do alignments but they didn t. After I paid so much money, now I have to go somewhere else and get an alignment done. They should have been clear on what they can and can t do and were unprofessional.

Edit: I don't give out 5 stars because all businesses have room for improvement/growth. I paid the full amount for a pre-purchase inspection that I didn't get to receive, at no fault of your own. I am not lashing out or angry at your company. I will increase it to 4 stars because you did reach out within 24 hrs of me making contact with you and kept in contact.I utilized the online contact to inquire about pre-purchase inspections. I was notified that is service that is offered and the price. I paid in advance and sent the dealership the information. I contacted the sales representative at the dealership to let them know the mobile mechanic was coming that morning. Once Pete arrived they didn't allow the inspection due to the car being possibly sold even though he had been there a 40 mintes or so.. I paid for a inspection that could not be completed and wasted time. Good customer service and responsive.

I am so glad I made the decision to use Pete's business! These guys are awesome, down to earth, and get the job done. Pete helped me decide the best route for replacing my transmission, was very professional, and also easy to talk to. Wanted to drive the car a bit more before leaving this review. Blew out a tire and had 4 service lights on in the car. Wheel also wasn t turning as smoothly. Dealership told me it would be $300 just to move some parts and diagnose the issue.Called Pete and he told me to bring it by. Ray in the shop got everything fixed for $150. Dropped it off around 12 and picked it up at 4:45 with no service lights on and the wheel operating normally again. Ray did a great job explaining the process to me and even told me to bring the car back if the lights came back on. Great shop, will definitely use again in the future

Pete was very friendly and helpful. He repaired our old Honda that was stored in our garage and got it back on the road. The fee was reasonable and he ended up saving us a tow. I recommend highly!

well.. I'd rather choose professional mechanic shop. Our car was stopped suddenly and google search gave this shops and he was available to check. First, he had no clue what was wrong and I had to Google and spoke to one of my buddy and told him that it could be coolant leak. That is when he was able to figure out. The charge was $350 to replace the coolant hose (I thought is expensive but ready to give as i had no option that time). He charged 4% credit card fee which I didn't expect. I was trying to ask him if he can waive credit card fee, he was a bit rude and said van won't leave the lot unless I pay full amount. The van was kept at his garage for 4 days until the part arrived. I had asked him if I could pick later. He was asking for $25 per day. I'd stay away from him. Hope this review helps at least somebody

Can't recommend Pete highly enough. He responded extremely quickly, arrived right when he said he would and replaced my battery. Great service, great communication and very fair pricing. So I recently used Pete s mobile mechanic service. Didn t have the best experience! Charged me $149 for a weekend diagnostic. (Makes you pay before he comes out) He came out and performed a diagnosis but ultimately could not tell me what was wrong with my car. Tells me to bring it into a shop the following Monday, turns out it s not his shop. It was some place not affiliated with Pete where I m being charged another $150 for a diagnostic. A bit dishonest, it was not communicated to me that I d have to pay for another diagnostic! I don t doubt that he s a good mechanic (knowledgeable about cars) but if you need a diagnostic, please take it into a shop. Just in case Pete can t determine the problem with your car off site.P.S. he is a bit rude!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I checked out Pete's service after reading all of his outstanding reviews. Being a graduate student, I was concerned with pricing after my car wouldn't start over the weekend and am still getting to know the businesses around Athens. Furthermore, with car repair I have always been uncomfortable in those spaces both as a queer person but also as a human who knows nothing about cars. I always had the feeling I was being overcharged and told to fix things that actually weren't a priority. Pete is a really warm individual, prompt and knowledgeable. I can attest that all the stellar reviews are accurate and appropriate. I felt comfortable as he quickly assessed I'd need a new battery, helped me purchase the right kind at Auto Zone and installed it all within 30 minutes. And his prices were very affordable for someone with a tight budget. I saved the costs of a tow truck and the charges from a traditional garage and also didn't have to be in an environment where I was treated poorly or cheated. It was one of the best experiences I've had with car maintenance and customer service. He reminded me of buddies I have back home! I am grateful to support my local community mechanic and be helped by someone in my community who knows his stuff. Will be taking my car to Pete the years I'm in Athens. I was visiting my daughter in Athens for weekend and then my car wouldn t start. Called Pete s Mobile Mechanic and they were able to replace battery and discovered starter was also bad. They were able to fit me in at the garage and get it repaired the next day. Amazing customer service!!! Makes me feel so much better now that I know there is someone to contact if my daughter needs car repairs while attending UGA. I definitely recommend them!!!

Pete's Mobile Garage was quick, professional, and reasonable. Pete helped my daughter, who was stranded at a gas station. He was there within 15 minutes and had her vehicle back running within an hour. What a relief for a dad that is three hours away. Called on a Monday morning after having trouble starting our car after we already replaced the battery. They said they were very busy but they would check it out for me. I dropped it off and they called not too long later and had already fixed it and given me a fair price! I appreciated them explaining to me exactly what they did too. I was extremely hesitant to bring my car anywhere else but the dealer or a shop that I was familiar with. After dropping my car off outside of their hours, there was great communication the entire time that my car was there. I felt that the mechanics were honest and reasonable priced. When I picked up my car the guy working in the shop explained everything that they did to my car as well as provided me with advice to buy a new car. I am incredibly thankful to finally have found an amazing company in town to trust any auto problems with! I cannot sing their praises enough!Pete was honest right off the bat, as we had assumed there was an issue with the starter, when it turned out to be a combination of the battery needing to be replaced as well as bad/dirty wiring and some parts in the alternator (that is about as accurate as I can be not being knowledgeable to the mechanics). Pete Got it starting And running again, but there was still something very off. He had another appointment He had to get to, but he got back to me promptly and advised I drop it off at the garage location.Even though they were slammed, one of his mechanics named Greg, was stumped by what was drawing power from the battery and causing my vehicle to run so unreliably. I am so thankful that Greg was bothered by the not knowing why because He cleaned up all the wiring, replaced some minor parts or wires here and there and got it running better than I d ever felt it running.Not only did they go above and beyond with their customer service, Pete and I had chatted a bit and with everything going on this year, he charged the absolute fairest price he could to keep his business running and not take everything from me. I just got home safely From New Orleans with another 1200+ miles on it and am planning to recommend him to anybody and everybody in Athens and take all of my business there as well.Also, they were all simply, kind, real humans as well and We all need more of those interactions.Thank you!!!

I called ask for price he told me I need to bring my car so I told him I wanna learn price so I can bring he told me we are very expensive and hang out !!! What kind of attitude that !!!!! Don t recommend at all !!

My daughter is a student at UGA and her car didn t start in the morning. Texted Pete s Mobile Garage and received a reply right away. He was flexible with my daughter s work schedule and met her at her dead vehicle. He diagnosed a dead battery right away and had it replaced within minutes. He also followed up with me and provided warranty details and an itemized receipt. Would highly recommend!Service: Battery

Over Labor Day, I hydroplaned and shattered my ball joint. Called Pete and he told me he had a lift available and he'd hold it open for me. I had my Jeep towed and it went right onto the lift. I had a price quote about an hour later and work was completed by lunch the next day. I have since driven interstates and potholes in ATL, so the work has been quality and the price was very fair and accurate. The service was excellent all around. We gave Pete a call for a quote to replace a starter and he was able to do it for half the price of what the dealership wanted. The communication was efficient, easy, and convenient. He said they could make it out to us the next day around 11a and they were out here by 9a and done by noon. Pete was awesome! He came to my house, identified the problem, and replaced the part in less than two hours. He also helped me get to the auto store to purchase a new battery. Since then, he has followed up with me regarding my truck and provided helpful advice. I would definitely recommend him to someone in need. His customer service and pricing is excellent!
