I've had several wonderful experiences here. They've always been willing to assist with even minor issues and questions. Service is quick, complete, and always address the issue. They are trustworthy and transparent. I definitely recommend!Edited for time: I've been receiving services from Japanese Motor Works for nearly a year and every experience has been wonderful. They truly follow through with their commitments and care for you and your car. If you're looking for any service, big or small, they will do it right!

I purchased my dream car at a discount due to a misfire/ timing issue. Peter and his team are a dream to work with every step of the way I was clued in on what was being done and why. The communication was second to none and even tops high end service locations like luxury dealers and specialty shops for imports. My NSX was in the best hands I could have found aside from it being back in the factory where it was built and going back 32 years. They have a very comprehensive checkup. I stay in Fayetteville and they were the only ones knowledgeable enough to fix my Acura Integra. And they tell you EVERYTHING if it is wrong with your car they will tell you. And they communicate. You are not left wondering what's going on. They do not perform services until they speak to you. Great place for sure.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices. I always feel confident that they have my car's best interest at heart. JMW makes recommendations and/or keeps me apprised of work that will need to be completed in the future, but they never do so in a pushy manner. Service is excellent. Over the years, JMW has driven me to my home in Oconee County and has given me access to a loner car.

Very professional, quality work, they do what they say they're going to do. The most detailed invoice I've ever seen post completion of the job. Not cheap, but in this case, you absolutely get what you pay for.

The service was completed fast and done thoroughly. The messaging system allowed for easy communication back and forth on my car as I was out of town for the week it was being worked on.As new items that needed to be fixed came to their attention as they worked on my car, it was easily sent over to me to approve or decline whether I wanted the new item fixed or not. A simple text message and clicking on a couple of buttons from me allowed Japanese Motor works to continue working on my car without any disruptions.All the work done on the car was immediately logged on Carfax which allows me and anyone who might own the car in the future to see the car was maintained and big ticket items were fixed as they came to light.I have a 2006 Lexus LX470 and JMW will be the only people working on it moving forward. When people are great at what they do, reasonably priced and easy to work with, it only makes sense to continue to reward them with your business!

It was more expensive than some prices I saw online, but I'm not sure how accurate those listings were. It took a long time (2 whole weeks), BUT they provided a loaner and they did great work. The car is joy to drive now. They also replaced cracked drive belt they noticed. So all in all, as good an experience as a major car repair could be. My old car feels like a youngster again.Services: Transmission repair, Oil change

They got my car back to good running condition after I'd let some basic repairs slide. They are professional, knowledgeable and do good work, but I won't be able to afford their prices in the future. Still, I'm grateful for the excellent work they performed on my car.

I really believe the company knows what they are doing. They were very detailed and their customer service was wonderful. They gave me an estimate and I got a second opinion with the Nissan dealership. The Nissan dealership did give me a better vibe and a better price. If I had a foreign car that no one in the area could service, I would definitely come to them.

Great experience from start to finish. Had my timing belt done and Japanese Motor Works offered more care for my car than the dealership for the same money. Everyone was very professional and answered all my questions prior to servicing my car. Great job!

I needed to have my entire transmission replaced. They took their time and did an excellent job. My biggest concern was alternate transportation while they were working on my car, but they gave me a loaner car to use. They also worked with me to drop off and pick up after hours, which was extremely convenient. I have used them for a while now, as has my brother, and they are fair, efficient, and friendly. I highly recommend them and trust what they tell me - which is hard to come by these days!Service: Transmission

I had several brake-related lights go on in my older Prius. I really didn't want to go to a dealer, and am so glad I found them! They were very reasonable, professional, and did a very thorough job. I even got a loaner for the day while they did the work. Super happy customer !UPDATE- I treated my new-to-me 2018 Prius to its first oil change with Japanese Motorworks. Again, they were awesome! They were super thorough since it was a new car to their shop, oil change was super reasonable, and I am confidant that they'll keep my car in top shape going forward!update: They are still doing a fantastic job with my 2018 Prius ! they are really thorough even when doing routine oil change & tire rotation. I always leave confident that my car is in great shape2023 update: my older Prius, now my son's vehicle, needed some major work done (front struts replaced, among other things). Japanese Motor Works is great! I feel very taken care of here. There s a sense of pride that permeates the building. I ve never gotten a horrible surprise in my billing and communication is absolutely second to none, including post service check ins. Japanese motor works really keeps track of your car reminding you of things like battery changes and oil changes. I ve gotten my car towed there late with tire issues and talked to the owner Peter late at night as he happened to be there. Just a passionately run, trustworthy, competent business. Always thrilled to take my S2000, which is my baby, to Japanese motor Works!
