I had a great first experience with Car Doctors. I appreciated that a human answered the phone on the second ring and I didn t have to go through an automated process- that was surprising and refreshing. They were able to see me the same day I called and were knowledgeable, professional and the wait time was reasonable. The inspection process was organized, comprehensive and backed up with photos to show what the issues were. I won t hesitate to bring my car here again for servicing.

I am well pleased with the service. They have gone above what I had expected for them to work on as old a model of Volkswagen as I have. Other mechanics in the area just charged me for what turned out to be an easy fix, but they couldn t or wouldn t fix the issue. I highly recommend Car Doctors.

This is professional as they come from my opinion..i needed a proper alignment and was even walked through what my trucks condition was while they were working on it so deff 5 stars from me! Thanks guys n gals at Car Doctors off Broad st. , Derek.

When I first arrived the people in the garage stared at me and kept talking. Nobody gave my directions to park and come check in inside until the manger came out. Car doctors was doing a special on oil changes for $40 when I got there they tried to charge me full price. If I didn t speak up I would ve payed more than double that. I asked for windshield wipers they told me it would be $80 due to the $50 labor charge (this is not including the oils change). I told them no and went to Discount tires & spent $33. Discount tires does not charge for labor only the windshield wipers! Go to them instead! I felt taken advantage of because I was a female. I do not recommend.

I used car doctors for the first time and I am very pleased how they fixed my car. It came with a five year warranty! Peace of mind. I ll use them again. Highly recommended.

I have been coming here for years to do all sorts of repairs to my cars. They have done a great job every time and usually if there is a mistake they fix it with no problems. Even after I moved away from Athens, I still make the hour trip just so I can get Car Doctors to repair my car This most recent time I scheduled my appointment to have some work done to my vehicle was the WORST experience I could ever have here. I made my appointment about a month in advance and told them exactly what I needed done to the car. I arrived for my appointment at 8AM and they knew exactly what need to be done since that was explained in advance. So far so good. Since I do not live in Athens anymore and they had to keep my vehicle over a day to complete the repairs, I had to book a hotel room and wait for them to finish. I was fine with this since I desperately needed the work to be done and was willing to spend money to stay in Athens until it was finished the next day. As the next day approached, I did not hear from them until 2PM. I answered the phone thinking the car was ready to be picked up but they told me they were unable to complete the repair since the third party company (responsible for completing the repair not Car Doctors) was unable to complete the job. This was pretty frustrating but understandable since another company needed to get involved so I can t be too upset at Car Doctors as they are not the ones doing the job. This was a cosmetic repair and not really a necessity repair. But I needed to get another thing done to the car that was necessary as it was way more important. I asked David how long the other repair was going to take and he said half an hour. David said he will give me a call once completed so I can pick up my car. Well 45mins go by and no call so I get dropped off at the shop to continue waiting but that is when I learned that the repair was NEVER done!!! So why did David say the repair was going to take about 30 minutes and it never got done? Apparently another worker told me the part needed to get done needed to be special ordered and has not been delivered. So I have been told two different things from two different people. I have held my vehicle at the shop for almost 2 business days (8am day 1 - 4pm day 2) just for NOTHING to be done.This is extremely frustrating as I spent time and money that I can t get back just to get the jobs done and they never did. My question is that you knew I was coming after confirming the appointment so if the part needed to be special ordered or if an appointment needed to be made with the third party then why was that not done in advance?! I did my part in making the appointment with you, telling you what I needed done and showing up on time. Personally, communication needed to be made to me at the end of day one letting me know that the repairs have not been done. At that point I would have just taken my car and drove home and not stayed the night in Athens hoping that the repairs were going to get done when they knew they were unable to by the end of the day. Thank you Car Doctors for wasting my time and money for NOTHING. I have been loyal to your company over the years as you have done great work in the past but now I draw the line and will no longer be getting my car needs done here.Perhaps you can reimburse my hotel stay as the time lost can t be replaced but the money can. Do the right thing and fix the relationship.

Great experience here! This was my first time having my finicky car serviced by Car Doctors, and I won't take my car anywhere else from here forward. Accurate estimate, quick work, honest folks. They even offered some really good advice for future service and honestly and patiently answered all of the questions I had.

I found my new spot for my BMW!. Justice is awesome! He honored my quote a month later. The work was done in one day. And they offered me a loaner vehicle or a ride. BMW has never done that for me.I went to Car Doctor s first because they were recommended to me. I knew I had a small coolant leak that hadn t been addressed in a BMW. I also had them inspect my brakes and rotors. The inspection was only $69. After they inspected my coolant components, and brakes, I was told my brakes still had 15-30kmiles before they recommended replacing. For my cooling issue, however it would be $4,000. Asked BMW for a quote based on the work they found, and I was told about $1,000 less. So, I had my car moved to BMW; only for them to charge me $169 for an inspection, and quote me almost $1500 more, and recommended a lot of unnecessary work at the time, as if I needed to do it right then. I ll just go to Car Doctor s for the future! A 4 because I don t get a video of the inspection

I ve been taking my car to Car Doctor for routine maintenance and some comprehensive repairs since its purchase from CarMax. The technician named Vaughn really knows his stuff. He did a wonderful job on the comprehensive repairs that were very necessary.I since returned for an oil change which they did while I waited. The technician noticed some feathering in my front tires and notified me as a courtesy. I plan to have them do more routine maintenance in the future.Dave the service writer was good about keeping me advised and is very prompt and knowledgable. Good place to have repairs done.Parking can be a challenge but once there, your car is in good hands.

I was very pleased with the service I received from Car Doctors. They performed the work at a much better price than I had been quoted elsewhere and even took care of my transportation. I will definitely bring my car in for future needs.

Great first-time experience with Car Doctors! Called them cold and had my Miata towed there. Dealt almost entirely over the phone, and they provided clear process to diagnose and repair my clutch. Fair price, good service, straightforward communication.

Took my car in to get diagnosed, car was running good, but temp hand was floating, they said radiator was leaking, which it wasn t I would have seen signs in my yard, no photos was taken of leak but all other issues that was found had photos, I declined service because I felt something wasn t right when they said radiator was leaking picked car up and it was in bad shape, running hot when it wasn t before I took it in Radiator was then leaking bad when it wasn t leaking at all when I took it in, First photo is what they sent me car is dry no signs of any leak from radiator, the other 3 are when I got it back. I have used this company several time before no issues until they changed over never again, beware where you take your car.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Car Doctors team serviced my car as a walk in on Thursday afternoon before Christmas when no other shop I called was able to check the car until after the holiday. They appreciated that this is my only vehicle and leaving it for several days wasn't an option. They confirmed my suspected diagnosis and had me out the door an hour earlier than promised. The cost was reasonable and they also recommended other maintenance but didn't try to sell me something using dire predictions of calamity. Overall a good experience.

I've been taking my 2017 GTI here the past year or so after I tired of driving to Atlanta for specialized service. I've been very impressed and happy with everything they've done. Their communication is timely, clear, and friendly. Their work is great. And it feels more like a local service place than a factory service line. I've had a few lingering issues relating to my car starting (an issue that started before working with them) and they've always gone out of their way to diagnose and sort it out. I can't emphasize how much of a pain my car has been (to me and them), and they've always tackled it with energy, persistence, and happiness. They've also refused to charge me unless they've felt 100% confident in their diagnosis and work. I won't take my car elsewhere while David and crew are leading the place.

I highly recommend this shop without reservations. Recently had the front and rear suspensions of my 1993 Volvo 240 replaced and the car now drives like it did 20 years ago! Couldn't be happier!

Everyone at the Car Doctors is very kind and knowledgeable. They are great at explaining to me (someone who knows very little about cars) what issues are priority and what could be done at a later date. I have never felt foolish for asking questions. I received updates and pictures from them while my car was in the shop. Their scheduling system is very user-friendly also!

Car doctors are awesome. They diagnosed the problems quickly and took care of what I wanted. I had to have my car hauled to Audi for a recall, and they coordinated with the tow company so nicely. The staff is great too!! Very polite, I would recommend them to anyone!!!

Saw us right away and was able to discuss the work needed and the part needed to replace a battery terminal on a Pathfinder...I was dreading having to go to the local dealership or find a repairshop. This was work I could have done myself but didn't have the time or the tools handy, i was in a bind. Car Doctors came through for me and I am impressed with how quick they got the part and replaced it for us. No hassle, no attempt to up-sale or do unnecessary work. We were done inless than an hour The price was very reasonable. I wasn't familiar with Car Doctors before but now I am a satisfied customer. Would use again and recommend.

Easy to schedule, clear communication, and great work. A little higher cost than what I ve paid in the past from other shops but you get what you pay for these days. I wanted the job done correctly the first time which Car Doctors did successfully. They got my car in on short notice to make sure it was ready for a road trip. They showed me the damage the oil leak had done and gave options for how far to go with stopping and reversing the damage. I took it back for routine care and an oil valve cover replacement. They did a great job.

Really great customer service, professional, efficient, reasonable prices and they stand behind their work. I was worried about using a non-dealership mechanic after a bad experience I had when I tried that once before for an import but I m so happy to find them! I ll will keep using them for any problems I have with my car- they do a great job!

Great repair experience. Easy appointment making online, with same day availability for drop off. Communication was excellent regarding necessary repairs as well as additional suggested repairs and vehicle status prior to pick up. We will definitely use Car Doctors for our vehicle service needs going forward.

I was driving cross country when my brakes began to fail. These good folks got me in the same day, repaired my brakes, charged me an extremely reasonable price and treated me like a valued friend even though I was a one time customer. This shop is a gift to Athens, GA.

Filled my gas tank with water contaminated gas which wrecked my fuel system pretty quickly. Car Doctors were thorough and made sure my car didn't leave the shop until all the water was 100% cleaned out, and now my car drives like it never happened. They also documented the cause of damages every step of the way to help me seek reimbursement from the gas station at fault. I'd feel totally comfortable going again if I ever need car repairs.

The service was quick and excellent. I was heading to Disney on the Friday after Thanksgiving, didn't have an appointment and they slotted me in so that I could make my trip. Price was more than fair actually the best in Athens. Very appreciative of their services!

My daughter goes to UGA and we have chosen Car Doctors as our auto repair shop for her college car. It started out on a not-ideal note when less than a month after moving her to Athens, her high-schools car (a 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe with 145K miles) decided it didn't want to go to college after all, and had total engine failure. ( A known problem with that engine, actually). Car Doctors confirmed it would require total engine replacement and were very helpful in assisting me in getting the car sold to salvage from long-distance. A few months later we bought a replacement vehicle (2013 Mazda CX-5 with 130K miles) and they fixed a known issue in the gear selection switch that makes it tricky to turn off the car. Arlene is very helpful in keeping customers updated and the repair work was excellent. They understand it can be a challenge to deal with car repairs via long distance, and are supportive of college students, including offering Uber service to them. I highly recommend this independent Athens car repair business!!
