These guys are fabulous, friendly and honest. I wish I had known of them over many cars ago. From simple maintenance to rebuilding a head gasket they can do it all. This shop is import focused. A hidden gem.

This place has changed a lot in past year or so. Earlier they used to be honest, now they charge you more than Honda dealerships for sub standard work. For the recent repairs they charged me $300 more than the Honda dealership. My car still has the same problem.

Just called Auto Tech and they are super duper polite. They offered to clear the engine light after Toyota gave me a new gas cap and will go from their. Thank you guys!

These guys are Athens BEST! Have gone there multiple times and without a doubt the most honest and highly knowledgeable group of guys. Always spot on to resolve issues, never have to go back a 2nd time. Doug will explain issue thoroughly, what it's going to take to correct, approx time and a good price. Chris runs an incredibly efficient shop. He and his guys will treat your car as if their own, no short cuts or sloppy work here. If you ever have had a bad experience, not mechanically interested or in my case picky about quality you can eliminate concern and stress with these guys.

I have been taking my cars here for the last 20 yrs! They are always courteous, honest, and fair. I grew up working on cars. Before I could afford to pay someone else to work on my cars, I did it myself. It's great to have someone who I trust to work on my cars and also friends' and family's cars, who usually call me about their car issues. Will be doing business with AutoTech as long as I own a car.Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

We brought it my husband s car because it wasn t starting. They told us that it was most likely they starter, and that they ran a diagnostic test and it was. We picked it up and took it to another place, come to find out that the computer in my husbands car just needed to be restarted and that there was absolutely no issues with the starter. They were going to charge us $700+ for something that wasn t even wrong with the car

daniel and chris are such nice guys! they fixed my headlight and even though they don t specialize in jeeps they still took the time to take a look and see if they could replace it! super easy and quick process. i definitely will be back for any future needs and will tell me friends!! thank you

Does great work and stands by it. I've been going to them for 4 years now and they are honest and hard working. Unlike the dealership, they don't find problems with the car, they only fix what's broken and recognize mistakes. Last year I got my starter replaced, but the replacement failed and Auto Tech replaced it free of charge with zero hassle. They helped my friend with his car as much as they could, then they admitted it couldn't be fixed (due to previous damage) and didn't charge him at all. Really great place.

These guys are great. We've been taking our car (1998 Accord) and truck (2008 Frontier) there for about 3 years now, following the recommendation of a service manager at a local dealership. Honest to a fault, certainly competent and willing to make the extra effort to get you back on the road. The only downside is that they don't have a shuttle and their shop is a bit off the beaten path (behind the FedEx office on Mitchell Bridge Road), but easy to get to from most anywhere in town

Took my car to these guys because my brakelight switch wasn't functioning properly. They are friendly and honest, and you can tell they actually care about the customers and don't want to screw them over for the most profit. Me and my family have had some bad experiences with mechanics in the past and Auto Tech was a refreshing contrast to that. Will definitely be coming back!

This is THE place to get your Japanese car serviced and or repaired. These guys are awesome, I have been dealing with them since 2004. Thanks a bunch Doug and Chris and all the other guys who work here. and Daniel has joined their team. Welcome Daniel. Doug has finally called it a day on Dec 31st 2021. Enjoy retirement Doug.

Sometimes 5-stars is not enough. NEVER have I had such good service. My wife has been the primary person to work with this group and she has had nothing but great things to say. Today my wife dropped the van off because the A/C was making a weird noise (we just had it serviced by them). Turns out, somehow leaves got into the A/C unit. Auto tech called me to tell me what was up. I wanted to know what the cost would be for the repair and they said no charge. WHO DOES THAT! I expected at minimum a hour service charge. After all they did fix the issue. I'm floored right now, so I figured I'd jump on Google and sing their praises.These guys specialize in foreign cars. We use them to service our Toyota Sienna, and as you can see I would highly recommend them.

They are great mechanics; they are scrupulously honest; and their work costs much less than at most other places I've experienced. I have been taking cars to them since 1988, I think, over 30 years. I have referred many friends to them over the years and have never heard a bad word said about them.

I have used the services of Auto Tech of Athens for about four years. I took my 2011 Honda Accord there because I thought the catalytic converters were failing (my car has four). I actually told them the diagnosis which I was told never to do. The repair would have been costly and to their benefit. However, they found the issue to be a minor one. The honesty and profession repair of my vehicle keeps me using their services for all routine services. I trust they will continue to be honest if ever a serious issue arise. I am moving from Athens, Ga in May of this year, but I will continue to allow them to service my vehicle. Great mechanics and customer service!

These guys are amazing. I have been taking my Japanese cars to them for years. They are honest and will tell you what really needs to be done with your vehicle. I also have these guys check vehicles when I am purchasing them. Even sold one of my cars to them when I was upgrading to a new one. I have found them to be one of the shops that treats you honestly and fairly.My favorite story with these guys was taking them a Toyota truck after being told by Aamco that it needed approximately 450.00 in repairs. It turned out that the vehicle only needed Shifter bushings which Autotech installed for about 35.00. Never had any more issues with that truck. I have been taking my vehicles to them ever since.

Came to this mechanic for the $1000+ repair for my engine cooling/radiator because of excellent reviews online, called and spoke with them and they were very understandable/helpful etc. However, upon dropping my car off the issues began, suddenly my calls were going un-answered and as they have no answering machine I couldn't leave a message, instead just constantly calling, hoping someone would eventually pick up. Next, my car repair which was initially supposed to last three days max, became over a week long affair due to the shop ordering the wrong parts, more excuses, etc etc. I went to pick up my car and though it hadn't been an ideal affair the man I spoke with was understanding and friendly.However, now I am in a position three weeks later where all the repairs they had 'completed' I have realized were either done poorly or not completed to what we agreed upon. The car is now having the same issue, and the work they did has failed. I am not one to normally write negative reviews, but the fact that after all the inconvenience, the task they were paid to complete was not done well and has failed. I will be contacting them when they re-open on Monday but I advise anyone with serious repairs to avoid this shop. It is definitely a mom and pop type of place, and may not be able to handle these things.

Have used for years. They know foreign cars and are reasonable and reliable. Popular garage so make allowance for those ahead of you. Somewhat hidden location but don't give up. Recommend!

This is the most honest, and fair place to take your car for repairs. They are friendly and professional and they don t try to take advantage of people. Also, they re affordable. Honestly can t recommend them enough.

While they were nice, they kept my car for a few days claiming that an alternator was nowhere to be found. I had the car towed from there to another shop in Athens who repaired it in a day.

Great repair shop. As a single woman, I worry about being taken advantage of by repair shops. The employees were helpful and honest. I would highly recommend.
