Was very interested in buying a vehicle from this dealer and got the most ridiculous run around, lies and poor customer service that finally forced me to give up and look elsewhere. Thankfully I found a better deal for the car I wanted at another Acura dealer that knew how to do their job and take care of their customers/first responders. Night/Day service and this dealer and it's associates (sales, finance, etc) have plenty to learn!! Definitely would NOT recommend.

We recently had a pre owned car buying experience with Acura of Athens. Very smooth, professional and felt comfortable. Patrick and his team do a great job. We got an amazing BMW X3 that was loaded and clean! I only with they were in our town so we could use them for service visits!

This was my first service with Volvo of Athens and I was very pleased with the level of service and communication from all customer facing departments!Their diagnosis of my XC90 s problems were spot on and they explained why they made the recommendations that they presented to me along with the estimated costs.We were also very fortunate to have a new S60 to drive as a loaner car.Josh Owens was very good about follow ups all the way through!I recommend using this dealership for sales and service!

Alicia did a great job! Rear view mirror came loose. I drove up without appointment and she had a technician look at it immediately. He decided he could fix it quickly. Returned the car within 30 minutes with repair completed. I have used this service department for three years since moving to Athens.The staff consistently been courteous and professional. I would highly recommend.

Any dealer can provide great service with an easy sales experience. A true measure of customer satisfaction is how they deal with absurd and extensive challenges. When my wife and I found the exact used car we needed, the purchase was smooth and easy with plenty of help from everyone at the location.After delivery of the vehicle, things went REALLY bad. A chain of system failures and problems threatened the deal. Leadership learned about the situation and called to let us know they were not going to leave us hanging in the wind. I was assigned a wonderful service rep who was always providing updates that I required. They provided realistic expectations for the timeline and updates. They were also sensitive to holiday and travel schedules that were locked in. We had the repairs completed and even a couple of things we did not notice.What could have easily resulted in us having a useless pile of metal that we could not afford to pay for or repair, Acura Used Cars of Athens stood by us to provide the vehicle we wanted. I know that an expensive used car is a tiny line item on the books of a dealership, the repairs that needed cut into their margin, and they had the option to go hands off. It is really a call back to the old days when the reputation of the place and the people really showed and mattered. I will not hesitate to recommend them since they earned it.

I'll just say that I had a service issue. I firmly believe that service issues should be graded on how the issue is corrected and handled. My issue was immediately (less than 12 hours) responded to and a resolution and plan of action was in place. Jimmy Branton and Wayne Owens were apologetic and courteous to my wife and me. They fixed the concern within 24 hours. I highly recommend this dealership and will continue to use them for our needs.

Updated: I am very happy with the sales experience, however, since purchasing my XC90 I am extremely disappointed with the service I have received at this dealership. I have had a windshield replaced and had to bring my car back to the dealership after my windshield wipers were not installed correctly. I have had my vehicle for about 2 years and the computer went out in my vehicle. After driving 3 hours back home from NC in 42 degree temperatures with no heat, I dropped my car off at the dealership and was told my vehicle would be ready in 2 days days at the latest. After 4 days of not receiving any updates I called and had to leave a voicemail. I received a text message the next morning that said they were still working on my car, but had to ask for an update on when my car might be ready and was told it would be a few more days. My only other vehicle ended up having problems and had to be towed to the Ford dealership leaving me careless. I texted the service representative to see if it might be possible to get a courtesy vehicle and was told that the person who manages the loaner vehicles was at lunch but they would check with her and let me know if they had one available. Since owning my vehicle, they have never had a courtesy vehicle available any of the 4 times I have had my car serviced, but I thought I would ask since I was stranded at home without transportation and my car was taking a lot longer to fix than what had been previously estimated. I never received any communication back as to whether or not they had a courtesy vehicle available for me to use. I am very upset with the lack of communication and customer service that I have received. I have owned 2 Ford Explorers and have never encountered such horrible experiences. I had much higher expectations after deciding to purchase my first luxury vehicle from this dealership. The sales experience at Volvo far exceeded any other car sales purchase I have had, so you can imagine my disappointment after encountering such horrible service the past 2 times I have had to bring my car in.UPDATE: After posting the above review, I wanted to share an update. I greatly appreciate receiving a personal phone call from Wayne (head of the service department), who shared that (after having my car for a week) shared that dealership would be delivering my car car back to my home the next day to save me the trouble of finding a ride to come pick it up. Wayne shared that if I ever encountered any problems that I could call him directly.My car was delivered to my house as promised the next morning around 10:30am. It was a bit unfortunate that I had to spend time setting everything back up in my car, but expected this might be the case. After 3 failed attempts at trying to set my SiriusXM subscription back up, I finally had to take more time to call SiriusXM who told me that my Radio ID had changed after my car had been serviced, and they ended up charging me $15 + tax to transfer my subscription to my car s new Radio ID (even though it was the same car that my subscription was associated with). I tried calling Wayne around 12:10pm to share that I had been charged to set my SiriusXM subscription back up and left him a voicemail. I then realized I had received an emailed invoice from a service technician that I needed to sign and send back, In this email he shared that they didn t have my paperwork ready when they left to deliver my car. So, I had to take more time out of my work day to print off the invoice, sign it, scan it, and email it back. In reviewing the invoice I noticed a comment on it, customer states vehicle won t start and they checked the vehicle and determined the battery was faulty and they had to replace it (in a 2 year old vehicle). I drove the car to the dealership and dropped it off to be serviced. I had no problem starting the car and never made a comment that was the case. I was never provided an update that there was a problem with the battery and that it needed to be replaced until receiving the invoice. As of 6:45pm no returned call from Wayne.

We came in from Columbia to purchase a RDX. Our sales guy and the manager were great, but it was very frustrating to see the finance lady leave us sitting there as she left for lunch. From the time we sat down to wait for her, to the time she came back, around an hour and half had passed by. Had I known it was her when I saw her walk out I would have said something. It was extremely rude and selfish of her to do this, knowing that we had a 3 hour drive home.

Truly exceptional service ! I recently purchased a lease/pre-owned Volvo S60. I had a brake issue that seemed out of the norm. When I brought my car in with a question regarding the brakes, the dealership took complete action to replace the parts in question at their expense! I have bought 4 cars from Volvo of Athens and have been doing business with them over 11 years and I have always had prompt, professional, courteous service all those years !! . I want to share my unpleasant experience with this dealership to save other people from the same situation. I was looking for a car for my wife. We liked a lot an RDX used with 27000 miles on it white with beige interior. The dealer stated that the car was with clean title, no accident, after I asked the car status twice. We did the drive test on Saturday, and on Monday, I stopped by to give them the check before going out of state for work. My wife picked up the car, and she noticed something wrong on the trunk, like if the right side was not aligned like the left. The next morning, she ran the car fax, and she realized that the car was in an accident. we returned the car the same day. So be careful when they state that the car is certified with no accidents. double-check any detail also on-line before bring the car back home.

Very pleasant buying experience. I felt the process was efficient and fully transparent. Our Sale rep, Patrick Seidel, was very knowledgeable about the vehicle even though it was not the dealership's brand and extremely helpful and open in explaining and answering questions. Definitely one of our most positive car buying experiences.

Like most people, I dread buying a car from a dealership. However, I found a 23 TLX for sale here and Jorge Rodriguez reached out to me. Jorge was very easy to work with through the whole process, as was the sales manager, David Bossert. I drove 2 hours to trade in my car and pick up the TLX and Jorge had everything waiting for me when I got there. I was in and out in under an hour! No high pressure sales tactics, no false promises, just a very easy in and out. Very pleased with Jorge and would definitely do business with him again.

Update: Everyone deserves a second chance.I think the hearts of the staff and managers at Acura of Athens are in the right place. Perhaps the ongoing remodel caused the disorganization that led to taking around 5 months to resolve my issue (Yikes!)... but they resolved it nonetheless.I appreciate anyone who owns their mistakes and takes steps to resolve the same.Thanks to Josh (advisor) and Wayne (service manager) to working to get my concerns resolved.I'd love to give them 5-stars.. but after taking such a long time to resolve my issue, I cannot.

This is the worst place to buy a car. Finance lady very rude. The only reason we drove an hour was the interior and exterior was color i was looking for. Sales person did not take time to show different things on car. Went to Acura in Gwinnett County and the gentleman showed everything after buying car in at Acura of Athens

Buying process was good .But I recall asking Patrick Seidel what the icon on the dash of the 2014 Acura rlx was and he told me it was the seatbelt warning. Long story short it was not time I got home an hour away every light on the dash was on I took car back to the service department good experience there kind courteous even got me a car to check mine out to drive well it all bottoms down. To I bought a car that want drive over 50 mph all lights on the dash are on parts on back order said it s looking like march ior April next year 1st and last time doing business here
