Allows you to park your vehicle overnight for overnight canoe trips. We put in at pioneer Park and went to brownville Park. That is about a 14-hour trip there's a good current wide Open water and lots of places you can stop and rest lots of wildlife I seen a family of deer on my way into the park and many others on the river.

Really had a great time. Love this place. We drove am hour to get here hoping to go to the wildlife refuge. Unfortunately the refuge was closed for good friday. However there's so much more so to here. Many fun things

It's a great place to do a lot of things from walking trails to fishing, you can even hunt for fossil shark teeth here when the water is low enough, also a grratbolace to launch your John boat canoes or kayaks.

If you're into hunting for sharks teeth and other fossils, the Peace river from Wauchula to Arcadia is where you'll find them. Pioneer park offers a great midway for river access. Bring your kayak.Restrooms: CleanPicnic area: Abundant areas for picnicking in the shade.

The Park manger is very two-faced and very inconsistent doesn't stay to his word I personally feel like he targets and treats tent campers like they are a low class citizen the power keeps going out and the don't keep up the bathrooms if I could give this place a minus rating I will never go back to that place

Immaculately kept by hardworking and genuinely caring site supervisor. Beyond the well kept facilities (including bathrooms with hot water), the park supervisor and his wife are the nicest people you will ever meet. There was constant security and presence from him seemingly 24 hours a day! The nature is pure Central Florida heaven with the outstanding Peace River to paddle. You can primitive cam right on the water! But beyond the pristine camping sites and river, they have quite an impressive nature refuge too! It has a long shaded boardwalk to observe from and a shocking variety of animals. The animals are similarly very well taken care of with clean natural habitats, shade, and peace. One evidence is that every single animal was out actively enjoying their nature not huddled in a shelter. They had bears, cougar, coyote, bobcats, owls, emus, deer, turtle, racoons, and more. There were also well curated informational plaques throughout! If you catch them during the right time they have a pioneer village with cabins, blacksmith and old train. Even if this part is not open it is work walking about the outside. This would be an excellent place for kids (and the have a nice playground area for them too - though I didn't focus on that). I cannot recommend this place highly enough and the price is stunning for the amenities!

I love this campground, it's really laid back and the guys that run it are really nice and take good care of the property. I've never had a problem with any kind of electrical or water connections. All of the campers that I've met seem really nice so that's cool. you never know what kind of people you're going to run into and some of these parks and everybody around here has always been friendly and it's usually pretty quiet. The only loud noises you really ever here around here is road noise on 64 and every once in awhile a medevac helicopter has to land in the parking lot to try to get some poor soul to the hospital as quick as possible but who in the right mind is going to complain about that?

Very nice park and RV parking area. For more information go to the website it s very inexpensive and reasonable to park here.Playground: Lots to do for the kids away from the Camping area.Restrooms: CleanPicnic area: Ample space

Pioneer Park is very laid back, calm, and relaxing. I highly recommend Pioneer Park if your going for the day or an extended period of time. The staff is GREAT.
