I brought my Dodge ram 4x4 to the shop for AC service, install new muffler and oil change. Also asked that they check out and flush my cooling system. AC service was great. Still working and Cold Air! They replaced my radiator as it was clogged and corroded. Glad I had them do that. Completed oil change. Muffler was too short. Mechanic said he could install a section to make it fit. Owner said it might not run right so he ordered another muffler. Went on four day trip and all was good. I came back to the shop the following week to have the muffler installed. Now he tells me that I will be put behind cars he took in recently. He was the one who made my return appointment. I had paid cash up front for all the repairs. He returned $300. Then just recently I decided to try them again. For two days I never saw the tow truck that he was going to send. Never called. I called him. I took the Camaro to another shop. Won't be bringing anything to his shop ever!

There are no words to express my thanks for not only a great deal but for the honesty and friendly transaction I had with this company. I picked up a vehicle with 20K miles on it and a good price. Was in and out in decent time and was treated with respect and kindness. Thank you to Steveand Harry for everything. You guys are awesome! I will come back again for sure.

While towing our 30' trailer back to Michigan i developed engine troubles and after contacting my road service arrangements were made to tow my Silverado to Honest Engines. Since it was minutes before closing I was advised that I would be contacted as soon as the issue and cause was determined. I was not only contacted in the morning I was given a list of the parts needed, what caused the issue and the cost for the repair. Long story short, the truck was repaired and at half the price that I expected. This shop is one of the best that I've dealt with in over 50 years.

Worst place possible to take any type of vehicle. They will charge you for things that are not broke and not even fix what you came in there for.The manager flirts with every female in there.Best advice, go to Ice Cold Air, better, friendly and cheaper.

HORRIBLE place!!! Both vehicles we bought from them had issues from the very beginning. OF course, right away they say they can fix it and actually I ended up leaving with more problems. I paid cash for my vehicle and my husband did payments and service was not good with either buying option. When discussing issues they are very condescending and say things like you bought as is...which makes no sense when I was having them do an alignment and before they touched the car -the car did not jerk to the left. If a company is doing a service it has nothing to do with the purchase of the vehicle but everything to do with what they are fixing!! Any place that has to make sure to put HONEST in their name is obviously trying WAY to hard to scam people!!! By the way both vehicles less than a year later have had many repairs costing over $3,000 and both are back off the road. Customer service sucks too... as soon as you call them out on their lies and bad mechanic services. I don't know who these clowns thought they were talking to when they tried feeding me all kinds excuses for why my car was worse after their service than before they touched it. I had to literally threaten to get 8 on your side down to their car lot for them to get my money back since twice they put my car on the alignment machine and both times my car got worse instead of better which then after the fact they claimed I must have other issues with the car making the alignment off. I later heard that they were having issues with their machine...well then they should have immediately refunded my money instead of arguing with me.

I initially came to Honest Engine for a bad wheel bearing. On 5/1 I went to Toyota in Wesley Chapel to diagnose what was wrong with my car (wheel bearing- documented). I took their estimate to Honest Engine where Richard (csr) assured me it would cost $212 and be done by that day. Upon receiving my car back, I noticed my ABS light was on (it hadn't been on when I dropped it off). Richard assured me the mechanic (Matt) would take a look. Matt explained he had accidentally forgot to reinstall the ABS, that he would and that the ABS light would turn off in "a few miles." I left, started driving, the light stayed on and my car started to make a very loud scraping noise when turning. That night I took my car to another mechanic who immediately knew the ABS sensor was broken but informed me to stick with getting my repairs with H.E. The next day 4/2 I went back to the shop, spoke with Richard who informed me that Matt had been fired & that he would work on my car although he wasn't a certified mechanic (he has 2 months left of school). I asked to speak to the owner, to which he responded that "he was busy and couldn't be bothered." I respected that and trusted Richard to fix the problem. He informed me that Matt had damaged my sensor, that he was ordering a new one and that the problem would be fixed that day. I waited 6 hours and when the work was complete, the sensor was off, however the scraping noise remained AND when I pressed on the brake, the car vibrated. By this time, it was closing time, Richard explained he would fix it. The next day 4/3 I returned to find Richard still unable to answer what why my car had these problems, called a "neighboring mechanic" and suggested I go there because possibly Matt had incorrectly put on my wheel bearing. I made the 20 min drive to the other mechanic who couldn't diagnose because my lugnut key had been damaged by Honest Engine. I called Richard in a panic, who explained that I could drive to Lexus of Tampa and that he would pay for a brand new one. I made the 40 minute drive, to find out that they didn't have an account there, therefore I had to pay for this on my own. I called Richard back, explained that after this many attempts I would have to take my car into a professional mechanic, seeing as the owner, still refused to take my calls, speak to me in person and that he was the only mechanic ("forced to work on cars"- his words, not mine). On 4/4 I showed up to Honest Engine at 10am, where Richard met me outside. I showed Richard the bill for my lugnut key, which he explained he wanted to pay out of pocket for, I didn't think that was fair so again, I asked to speak with the owner. Richard explained the owner had been giving out a lot of refunds for poor work so he was in a bad mood but I insisted that it was time we had a conversation. Upon meeting Steven, I introduced myself, whereas he responded "I know who you are." I explained how I had brought my car in for a repair 3 days prior with Matt who had been fired right after (he explained Matt was back) and that I was experiencing worse problems. He blatantly spoke to me that my car was "12 years old, the lugnut key was bound to break, that he would pay for that, but would not address the poor repairs made by his employees." I had asked for just half of the money back, he said no and that he was done speaking about it. He went into his office with Richard & Matt & then Matt walked out with a paper check for $40 for the lugnut key. I then went to Toyota (Brandon) had a master mechanic check out my car who explained, the wheel bearing had in fact been incorrectly put on (I had to order a new one), the steering knuckle had been damaged and that the ABS sensor was incorrectly put on. These new charges totaled almost $600.Stay away from this establishment.Do NOT be a victim here like I was!UPDATE* 2022A response after 5 years!!! Your customer service is disgusting, just like your work. Do yourself a favor and stop responding to reviews and START hiring ACTUAL technicians! :)

Do not buy from here, will tell you whatever you need to hear to get you to buy from them and the second you drive off it all becomes a lie. Anything they would do or fix won't happen. They will try to act like they never said instead will try an act like they'll cut you deal for $79hr labor charge. I bought a car that had a bad clutch bearing said they'd replace I even got the clutch kit then came time and it was oh yeah we'll do it for a price. Said they'd put new tires on nope only 2. Found body rot they had covered with a paint job. Car broke down within 2 weeks. Bottom line don't trust their words nor their master cover up aka mechanics work. Owner is not to trust as he is the puppet master

Ernie helped me out today to get my first car, he was very nice and polite, I just felt like he really understood what it was I looked for in a car, best salesman I ve gone to , I love his service , very cool guy as well

Update August 18th 2022. Called me up after 3 years and instead of asking why I gave a 1 star review asked me to change it to a higher review. I dont recommend this place.

This place is absolutely a joke the people that work here are rude and lazy.. I called 3 days in a row asking for a easy quick alignment & each day they said call back tomorrow and I live in distance where I can see the building & they had no cars on the lift no reason to not be able to do the job they turn away paying customers...
