I needed help installing the frame mounted factory 5th wheel puck system for my chevy truck. The team did an excellent job getting my truck done with no damage to paint. They had to lift the bed off the frame and I was very satisfied with price and work.

Sorry for the delay in leaving feedback but it's Thanksgiving today which is a great time since I am grateful for having found this shop. The readers digest version. Had taken my car in for a tune-up. That shop said they worked for hours cant get one plug out. Still charged me. Was told you will have to go to the dealer. Car towed to the worst Ford dealer in Wesley Chapel wont mention their name. And It's where I purchased this car and sadly one other. They say we have to replace the engine and you cant leave the car here. The cost would be several thousand dollars. Towed home sits in my driveway still making payments for 2 additional months. Then someone recommended DJ. Had the car towed there. Three days later car running for a little over $100. Prior to this issue I was told I needed a sensor replaced that was about $850. After about a month of getting the car back the problem became worse. Took it to DJ fixed that problem too. Cost less than half what other place quoted. If you take your car anyplace else to get repaired your getting ripped off. I am truly Thankful for finding this place and you will be too.

Great team to work with. DJ and his crew always take care of our fleet, we wont use anyone else. DJ has always been upfront and honest with prices and timeline. Had a transmission rebuilt by gearheadz transmission in zephyrhills (now closed) about three years before this review and it never was right before it completely went out. Took it to DJ s after reading very positive reviews and had a great experience. The truck is a 2001 Ram and I can t imagine it ever shift better than what it does now. DJ you and your guys did a great job thank you very much.

This is the second car I needed DJ to diagnose and fix, I had a bad torque converter with a questionable lock up solenoid in the transmission. He said it would be done in a day and I said OK! Well DJ is busy and he's busy because of word of mouth. He does exceptional work and stands behind it. His shop is not the cleanest, but I wasn't looking for a car detail. I was a master mechanic for Honda and choose to no longer pull my own transmissions. But I knew what was wrong with it. This man is honest, efficient and trustworthy. This is rare trait in the car repair world. I will continue to bring work to him and cannot recommend him enough. Yes it was complete on time and spot on quote. Also, Monday thru Thursday he pretty much ignores closing time and has been known to work past midnight... that's just how he is.Service: Transmission

This shop has been a blessing to our family. They replaced my entire AC system when I was pregnant during the summer and worked with me on payments. This morning I was having car troubles and immediately took it up to them and was told it had to be left there, so they gave me a ride home and told me if it was fixed before I had to be at work today they would drop it off to me. Such a great place with some good guys! I'll never take my car anywhere else.

DJ is awesome!No one wants to fork out the money for a new transmissions. He did the work fast and made it as painless as possible.On top of that, I came back a week or so later about a small problem unrelated to their work, which he promptly fixed. Then I explained that my truck had issues starting (battery terminals), which he then replaced for free! Definitely recommend!I wish I could leave a second review. I brought my truck back because on an oil lea (also unrelated to DJs work)and I was on a strict time limit to get it fixed. DJ did everything he could to do so!! Unfortunately, I'm moving up north, and I only wish I could find another reliable and honest mechanic like him. Thank you again DJ!!!

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. 4 days with my vehicle and cannot diagnose the problem. They said they didn t want to throw parts at it but then want to replace the fuel pump. Asked them how long that would take and was told that they were working on 52 other vehicles! Which my response was that I will go and pick up my vehicle and then got hung up on. Never in my life have I had an experience that it would be 4 days and still no diagnosis on a vehicle and even more so me having to chase down a mechanic to let me know what the problem is. Mind you I called them before I brought my vehicle to make sure they had the availability to look at it. Poor Business is an understatement of what I think of this place. If you want prompt service then this is the place to stay far, far away from.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I had taken a truck to DJ that I had just bought because it was running really rough and the A/C was not working. He said he would need to keep the truck (not a problem) he literally called me within 20 minutes with the engine misfire fixed and A/C working. He said I didn't owe him anything, I insisted he take at least $50 he refused. I've never in my life been to any mechanic shop with such honesty and integrity, this man will not run you thru the ringer. Thank you again!

I bought myself an old van. DJ'S has done great job on it so far and is still doing work on it. They are fixing everything. My son and mom both will start bringing their car here for reg oil changes or like me for everything. Very happy with them. Danny Dalton

So this guy is the man because. He has done payment plans for most of the people that has given him a bad review. The deal is if you don't pay infull then the Warranty is not valid until payment has been made. Dj is the best in town. He has a big heart and is willing to do what ever it takes to make sure your not without a Vehicle.

I recently had DJ's Transmission replace the motor in my 2001 Ford F-150 truck. I live in Spring Texas and I had to leave my truck in Zephyrhills Fl with a blown motor. I had it towed to DJ's and flew in Sep 13th. My truck was next in line for the motor replacement and was told it would take 2 weeks before it would be done. I let them know that I was staying in a motel & I couldn't wait another 2 weeks for my truck to be finished. I was not happy but understood the circumstances.DJ's is open Monday thru Friday so when I found out that Terry the mechanic worked on my truck Saturday and Sunday I was extremely surprised and very happy. Terry went out of his way to get my motor installed and me on my way to Texas. DJ, Corey and Terry were very helpful and understanding in taking care of my truck and getting me back to Texas where I care for my 94 year old father.Thank you for the great service !Thank you Terry, Corey and DJ !

My car has a serious transmission leak after being rebuilt from this DJ. I went back a couple of weeks ago to show him the pictures and the actual paper towel I used to soak up the pink fluid on my garage floor. He told me that it wasn't transmission fluid it was the oil pan gasket leaking. Oil pan is dry as a bone!! I had a PROFESSIONAL Ford mechanic look at it and told me that the transmission is leaking from between the engine and trans as well as the pan from the transmission. Point is I have a 1 year warranty and this guy doesn't want to make good on it because he will have to eat the cost of the repair. So much for giving your customers a warranty.Go somewhere else where Professional Techs work and stand behind their work. This guy should have his business shut down!!!Service: Transmission

Don is great at being practical with repairs. Honest and friendly! I don't take my car anywhere else. Audi a4 2.0t quattro 6spd manual.He did my clutch and flywheel. Doing a repair on the coolant seal into lower engine block today!Good people

Extremely disappointed in the service here. I was referred by my father-in-law, who was very happy with the work he received from them so I expected equal results. I got the exact opposite. My car sat there for three weeks, untouched. I just got it towed back home today because I was tired of letting it sit wasting time. I get it back in a worse condition then it was in. After getting it back home it would not start at all and my steering wheel was jammed up, it took me almost 15 minutes to get the wheel Unjammed and the car to start up. It was filthy, a ton of mud and dirt was all over it and inside my exhaust, also dark filthy finger prints were smeared on some newly wrapped interior panels I did not too long ago. After all of the countless definates that he would give stating my car would be worked on it never happened. I was promised every other day it would be finished, and when I would call anxious to go get my car. It was the same answer. Somebody was somehow always ahead of me and yet he told me when I dropped it off three weeks ago, there was only two other cars in front of me. I don't understand. It's only disappointing because of the fact this was a huge waste of my time and I could have taken it somewhere else to get it fixed, wasted almost 200$ just to get towed there to sit and rust then return home. When the tow truck driver arrived to pick up my car I requested he also pick up my new transmission I paid just under $2,000 for, the driver stated they refused to help him load it up because they didn't want to do it and because it was "too heavy"... seriously? Now I'm at an even larger inconvenience because I have to find some way to go all the way back down there just to get the tranny when they could have just made this easier for all of us and not be so uninterested in getting the work done. It only takes two guys to lift it up. Would not recommend anyone to these guys ever.

I have now had the pleasure of ordering several parts from DJ's and specifically working with Leo.Unfortunately we ran into an issue with one of the parts - not the fault of DJ's. As a consumer, this is where the rubber meets the road!!!Leo and his team did an excellent job of clarifying the critical details, communicating with us at each step in the process, and ultimately getting us exactly what we needed.Again, when things go right - they go right. But, when they don't go right - you want to be working with a company/individual like DJ Transmissions and Leo.Very Well Done and Very Much Appreciated Leo and Team!Service: Transmission

DJ's fixed what I thought w.c Honda was supposed to fixed, car transmission shifting smooth, been over a year!! I got rip off w.c Honda , all it needed was drained and changed, and my new filter behind air intake box!!! T.u DJ...(update) there's a transmission filter behind intake box on 2009 Hondas, it filters the fluid! It shows it on line! My Honda was surging at 15 to 21 mph, shift wasn't right! It's fine now! Since it got changed and replaced that filter,I recommend d.js!!!Service: Transmission

DJ is one of the most upstanding men I have ever met! He is honest, trustworthy, and very considerate, to say the least. DJ is extremely knowledgeable about vehicle mechanics, and vehicles, in general. I have an older, classic car, but am not very mechanically inclined, and don't have a man in my life that I trust with my car, so I take it to DJ's for anything that I can't personally handle. Now, PAY ATTENTION LADIES (and others who are not mechanically inclined): DJ's prices are more than fair, particularly for the quality of work they do, and I am confident that DJ would NEVER take advantage of a person's lack of mechanical knowledge.I've taken my car to DJ's shop at least 6 or 7 times over the last few years, always for something different (as I said, it's older), and both DJ and Terry go above and beyond what I've asked them to do, insuring that my car is not only fully operational, but safe for me to drive, as well! In fact, I don't even live in the area, so I drive a long distance to bring my car to DJ's, and as long as DJ is in business, I'll continue to do so! THANKS DJ and Terry!

I've got 2 transmissions from him and the second was supposed to be "built" both didn't make it a year. I would not recommend him to my enemy. I pulled torque converter myself after it started slipping and he "built" with the cheapest money could by.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

This is my second time bringing my vehicle there to DJ'S. They have done such a great job on my vehicle. I couldn't have found a better place to go. Very honest and up front. He will tell you exactly what you need and what can wait if need be. I have an old oldsmobil 2000 silhouette van. The thing has 217 thousand miles on it and runs like new now. He has put in a new rack n penion, fixed my heater box, ac, windows, thermostat, electric fan sencers, radio, anything and everything that didn't work, works now.
