This is my mechanic forever now. I was referred by a friend who s been coming for years. Friendly, honest, fair price service & got my car back sooner than anticipated. They even went an extra mile to put a couple screws in my damaged bumper to hold it together. So appreciate that. Best experience I could ve asked for! :)

Couldn't ask for a better repair shop or nicer people. Mrs Lee, Bob and Gary are very helpful. My lifted truck has been to several shops that couldn't fix a pop noise. They suggested a fix and did it with several other things. No more pop! So pleased with their work.

AMAZING!! I am so impressed with this small, family-owned company. After receiving a pricey quote (for what I now know was an incorrect diagnosis) from another company ($1200), I was desperately seeking a second opinion. I took my car to General Automotive and they were able to not only correctly repair my issue for a substantially lower rate (<$200), but also SHOW me that my coolant reservoir was cracked. How many companies show this much integrity in their work nowadays? AND they called me back after their initial quote stating their repairs did not take as long as originally intended for labor time and dropped my quote down another $30-40.I am sincerely impressed with this company, I will be referring all of my family/friends here. General Automotive, you are the best!!

Awesome experience with them! They were always very patient and kind, and my car is working perfectly so far after it had issues overheating. Best experience with a mechanic in Orlando.

"Wait, an auto garage that has 5 stars? That has to be a mistake."Nope. You are fortunate to have stumbled upon the best kept secret in Orlando. My family has been coming here for 30+ years, and we have never thought about going anywhere else. They will treat you fairly, price you reasonably, and do great work.

Bob and Paul are topknot mechanics who can match any of the local car dealer service departments. They inspected my car thoroughly at 100,000 and determined the engine was road worthy as is, so that I could drive with confidence. Just as they said, I'm now ready to return at 125,000 for tune-up. The garage is hard to find (no sign) but worth seeking for honest, complete repairs.Note that the negative review from six years ago is in error and should be removed by Google: General Automotive does not sell used cars, has never had a car lot and no one named Tony has ever worked there.

General automotive was a place that was referred to me by a friend. when i found out how GREAT their service was and how honest they were, i never went back to anyone else that i saw before.i have now been going to this mechanic for 6 years and won't take my car anywhere else.good people, great mechanics, and its definitely the mom and pop shop that you want to support.highly recommended!

I trust Bob and Gary with my car 100%. They are honest and trustworthy. They took care of my AC on my Hyundai in a very timely manner. I recommend them to everyone!

This is an outstanding shop! I have complete confidence that I am getting the absolute truth about what is needed for my car. This place will not try to sell you on service or parts that you do not need. Bob and Lee are amazing people! I will never take my car anywhere else!

My family was referred to this shop about 15 years ago and we've been going there ever since. They are honest and reasonably priced; they only fix that which needs fixing and they never "up sell".Note: One reviewer gave them a "poor" score because of the car that was sold to him. General Auto does not sell cars and "Tony" does not work there.

The nicest people! They get it done well, quickly and affordably and have gone above and beyond to take care of me and my car. I got off work just down the street 30 min after they closed, so they went ahead and brought my car to me! Definitely sticking with General Automotive.

My ford expedition was "skipping" from time to time. My local mechanic in Hartsville, SC couldn't find the problem. I got to Florida and it got worse. My cousin who lives in that area took my vehicle to this shop. Bob and Paul diagnosed the problem and fixed it, inexpensively and quickly! I can't thank them ENOUGH!!!!!

My daughter mistakenly thought her car broke down when she actually ran out of gas. I am out of state so could not help her. General automotive treated us fairly for a simple mistake. Highly recommend

The only Auto Repair Shop I will go to. They are fair with their prices, fast, friendly, & locally owned. I have been using them for about a year now, & won't go anywhere else.
