I had my air conditioner repaired at the Tampa store in August of 2022. In July of 2023, the air conditioner went out again. The manager of the Tampa store told me I was able to bring the car back to the Winter Haven store to have the repair done, because the stores were dually owned. Since the part was still under warranty, I would just have to pay for the labor.Thankfully before visiting the store, I decided to have the car diagnosed at Chevrolet to make sure the compressor was the issue. They confirmed that was the ONLY issue.When I arrived at this store at noon on Friday, they were not able to locate the part to fix my car by closing time and I would have to leave my car there for the weekend to be repaired.When I picked the car up on Monday, a rat had chewed a hole in the front seat over the weekend. The hole measured 2.5 x 2.5 . The rat also ate my sons IPad cover, chewed the underside of the passenger seat and ruined a children s book.The manager, Jonathon, was super apologetic and admitted that when they acquired the business they had a huge rat problem. He said they would repair any damage that was done.That Wednesday, I took time off of work to have the car fully inspected to make sure no further damage was done.I originally wanted the seat replaced but the owner refused the replace the seat, only to repair, which I finally accepted. I took off work and searched all over to find a place to repair the seat but the hole was too large for anyone to successfully repair, without it looking totally botched. Each place I took it to, suggested placing a new seat cover over half or the whole seat. I finally accepted that I would have to get a cover put on the bottom half of the seat and that it would not perfectly match the rest of the seats in the car. The new cover would be part leather and part vinyl.A month after leaving the Winter Haven store, the air conditioner went out again. Since it was within the 90 day warranty, I could take my car to any Midas to be repaired.I chose a store in Orlando, who noticed the Winter Haven store had not done the repair correctly. They replaced the compressor and other minor issues the Winter Haven store had done incorrectly.Literally a month later, the AC went out AGAIN! I was so fed up with Midas I took the car to a repair shop that I knew I could I trust. Within about 45 minutes they let me know that the compressor was broken again and that Midas had used a cheap repurposed part. During the repair, they noticed that the line to the compressor had been bent (most likely by the Winter Haven store to get their cheap part to fit). That was why the compressor kept breaking. They were able to bend the line back into place, but warned me that it may break again in a couple years or so. I spent another $1050 at this store.This was obviously caused by the Winter Haven store because the bent line was not noted on the original diagnosis from Chevrolet and that was why the air conditioner kept going out.I submitted both bills, the vinyl repair bill and the bill from the car repair location who fixed my air conditioner, to the Winter Haven store. The owner of both locations is refusing to pay for the air conditioner repair and is only offering to pay for the seat repair, which is around $500.As a business owner, I know the value of good customer service and taking care of clients. I feel like a nobody to them and have never felt so mistreated by a business. I have taken multiple days off work, had my air conditioner break 3 times within a three month period (during the summer) and had my car eaten by a rat and all they are offering me is $500 to just repair my seat?!? Wow.They will lose far more business from would-be future customers reading this review than it would have cost them to just pay my $1050 repair bill along with the seat repair.Please do yourself a favor and avoid both of these locations at all costs.Update: As of January 12, 2024, Midas corporate has resolved this issue.

I just went to get an oil change and a tire rotation, as it was offered for purchasing two tires at my last visit. The tire rotation wasn t done even though I was told that it was. The customer service was great and I didn t mind the 2 hour wait at all. However, this is the second time that I ve requested the tire rotation and it wasn t completed.

On a whim my husband and I stopped in today to see if we could get our brakes replaced figuring we would need an appointment. We were gotten in right then much to our surprise!! Both gentlemen at the front desk were professional and courteous. Couldn't ask for better service. Even got to exchange some stories for a laugh or two which passed the time. Thank you Marcus! And on a last note....the brakes are working perfectly. Keep up the great work. Thank you for a pleasant experience today.

I really don t understand how this place has 4 stars when the treatment I ve been getting there is carelessness and I don t give a damm attitude I bought 2 tires a few months back and was told that next oil change they would do a tire rotation well let me tell you this was a few oil services ago and they still haven t done the oil change but instead look for things that I have not asked them for. I ve called to complain about it and guess what the manager just doesn t care either now I know why this location has change managers so much it s because of the way they act to paying customers Midas I am very disappointed in the service and core values of this store. Customers don t matter

I would like to thank Midas for an outstanding service on my two cars that i love dearly and intrusted in their work. I have to brag on there speedy, friendly, cleaness and might i add affordable rates. They assured me of everything i needed and stands behind their performance .so hats off to Mgr. Marcus and his team on Winter haven fl. Come check them out they are specktacular.

They have no concept of what an appointment is. My first appointment was on Saturday at 2:00. Just before 3:00 they told me that I just needed 2 (rusted) exhaust bolts cut off and 2 put in their place. I was told the job would take a half hour. Apparently no one could do it then. I was asked to make an appointment for Monday. I made an appointment for Monday. When I came in they took my key and information again. 10 minutes later I was told they wouldn't be able to get to it that day. I will be taking any further business elsewhere.Service: Exhaust

An unexpected brake failure had me visiting Midas today. I was impressed be the level of professionalism from them. Treated me with respect and kindness. It was a long 3 hr wait. The Gentleman that was running the place made it better by talking with me when he could. I do recommend them for anyone looking for automotive car repair. Well done guys! Keep it up!

Giving 3 stars because Herbert did make it right!Brought my van in because my rack and pinion needed replacing. Got a quote for $1189 and said let's do it, one of the mechanics immediately asked to see the estimate and said it would take 6.5 hours instead of 3.5 hours. He jumped on the computer and started speaking in Spanish to the guy working the counter. Prior to this, they were both speaking English so it definitely felt shady, like they didn't want me to know what they were talking about. After they printed a new quote for $1524 they both went back to speaking English. It made me feel left out on the conversation about my vehicle and the estimate. They then told me they were "going to give me a deal" and only charge me for 5 hours of labor.I had my husband speak with Herbert because going by a standard mechanics book, labor should've been 3.2 hours. Herbert was really nice and went over the estimate with us. Midas charges $125hr for labor so we were never given a deal, we were billed for the entire 6.49 hours at $811.25All in all, Herbert seemed super apologetic and got us right with the proper labor hours. There needs to be some sort of audit though, because had we not questioned it, the mechanic was more than quick to want to charge twice the labor and lie about giving us a deal. Being diligent saved us over $400, and I hope Herbert looks into this further. It's scenarios like ours that make people so distrusting of bigger name shops.

The Mechanic named Junior is competent and thorough. It is not unusual for jobs scheduled ahead of you to run long.Even if you have an appointment, you should call ahead to ensure they are ready for you.If they are encountering difficulties with the vehicle scheduled before you, you can expect to wait 45 to 90 minutes before they get to your car.

I set up an appointment to get tires changed. They verified that they had the tires in stock. Then I show up after taking time off from work and they did not have them. I went to discount tire and got them cheaper and quicker. Lobby us also gross with broken furniture.

Did not want to honor my coupon that I got from the Midas site ...as well as didn't believe me about the online price of the service that I was in there for. Still created up an invoice that was not correct that would've resulted in me paying more money than intended. Really was not happy about that.

My wife took her car there for a front end alignment. They told her she needed struts, tie rod ends and new shocks. Took the car to Pep Boys I had them check the struts and the tie rod ends and nothing was wrong with them so I got my front end alignment there. Bottom line is Midas wanted to rip her off

Over charged me for a brake line, then lied and told me I had a rear caliper leaking and would be a extra $556, I said no and come to find out it's not even leaking. Will NEVER take another vehicle there again, also would have gave zero stars but wouldn't allow me

I had the worst time at this establishment. The man at the front desk was rude and condescending, his name was Mark. He treated me like I was less than him, he also treated other female customers that way. He was very snarky and he acted like a know it all and he treated me like I didn't know anything because I am a woman. I will not use this business again. I had a much better experience with Michelle working the front desk, she was better with customer service and she treated me with respect. She was very pleasant and kind and she explained everything to me unlike mark. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Mark deserves to get fired, he is not good with people and he is rude and he should not be in a position to work with customers because he is horrible and he has no people skills whatsoever.
