Mike, Brad and all the mechanics are top notch. I found this place 3 years ago when we moved to the area and nothing but honest and professional. IMHO there are 2 people you must trust in this world, your doctor and your mechanic. These guys are great. The only complaint is they are sometimes difficult to get something scheduled but that's because people know how good they are. Will ALWAYS be my first call with any vehicle issues. Keep up the great work

Honest mechanics. Mike rotated my tires. About a month later I was washing my car and noticed a hubcap was missing. Called Mike to see if maybe it was laying around there from my rotation. I have no idea where it was actually lost. It wasn't there but he called me the next day and had bought me a new one, at no charge, in case it was their fault.We have also taken vehicles in for possible issues and when he found nothing, he charged nothing for diagnosing. I will always recommend this mechanic. Top notch service.

Its always stressful when looking for a new mechanic. It seems that so many people a mechanic-related horror story. So, when my car had a sudden issue, I wasn't super excited to look for a new mechanic as we recently moved to Winter Garden. I did a search in my HOA facebook group and quickly realized that Mike the Mechanic had been recommended by numerous neighbors over the span of several years.I'm glad I checked. The staff was courteous from start to finish. Because it wouldn't start, I had the car delivered to the shop the day before my scheduled appointment via tow truck to ensure they could start on it first thing the next morning. To my surprise, they were able to diagnose the issue and provide a full estimate within a couple of hours the same day and let me know that it would be ready the following day.Mike's delivered the car early and helped me to avoid having to rent a car. I'm a fan.

I have had my vehicle there twice now, both for different reasons. They have been awesome with their customer service, and the work completed has been on point and within the time frame they have given me. Price is not the cheapest in town but is reasonable for going rates. I will always recommend and utilize them for my mechanical needs.

Their integrity is defined by honest, direct and clear communication of the best, most cost-effective solutions to the auto issues causing your vehicle to require service.3. Their thorough attention to details during the inspection, diagnosis, and repair of your vehicle, reassures customers that the job is done with pride through excellence.4. They never try to up-sell or coerce you into purchasing most costly services, but more telling of their commendable ethical code is the fact that they will try to save their customers money by advising against unnecessary tasks that may compromise your budget when others would certainly take advantage of you.5. During their inspection of my vehicle for a known issue that brought me to their shop, Louis noticed two gashes/cuts along the seams on the inside radial belt on 2 of my tires that were ignored or overlooked by another mechanic shop I visited a few days before. These issues were blowouts waiting to happen at any minute and it could've endangered the safety of myself or passengers. Then Brad walked me through the issues, highlighted areas of current concern and those for future consideration, and helped me arm me with the knowledge I needed to receive credit from the sellers of those defective tires. I left the Mike The Mechanic's shop with a firm sense of satisfaction, gratitude, and commitment to choose them for all my future service needs on my 2002 Ford Focus with 260,000 miles of memories that I am not eager to trade in just yet.6. Peace of mind that they want the best for my car and for me as their customer. Thanks for the great service and dedication to value. I'll be seeing you guys again soon and I strongly encourage anyone, everyone, having auto troubles to choose Mike The Mechanic if you want the job done right by remarkably skilled professionals.*Below are the pics of the front, and rear, passenger side tires that were defective and presented a clear threat to my safety. It is their diligence and attention to detail that possibly saved my life and a great deal of money when they inevitably blew out in the minutes, hours or days to come.

Very honest mechanics. I had a code on my car and was told by another place I would need a new computer. Took my car here and they found there was just debris on the area. They cleaned it up and I was good to go (no computer needed).

Can't say I've ever taken my vehicle there, but I was an employee about 7? years ago. I recently moved to downtown Winter Garden and pass by this place daily. My time there wasn't the greatest, my fault for being arrogant and short-sighted.Now that some years have gone by and having worked at a variety of places (dealerships, independents, fleet mechanic, used car lots, and now for myself), I can honestly say that Mike and his wife Patricia are some great people. Besides being down-to-earth and easily approachable, there aren't many places that care enough to send their mechanics to continuing education classes (and pay for it). As I said before, it just wasn't my time.These are good people with good intentions.Hope you're doing well, Mike!

I took my car in to get a full diagnosis for an oil leak and couple other issues and when I tell you I was treated with respect and kindness I mean it. Unfortunately the car is in too much disrepair and Brad let me know it just wouldn't be worth it to fix and didn't even charge me for diagnosing the issues. Any issues I have with any vehicle in the future will be taken to Mike the Mechanics shop. Fantastic service and trustworthy people. Highly recommend

I scheduled a day to drop my car off, expecting a big bill for replacing the brakes. I appreciated them being honest enough to tell me the brakes didn't need replaced at this time and if I would bring it back in a few months they would be glad to check it again for me. . Also I was very happy to see that they have added a small waiting room where customers can sit if the shop just has a short job to do for them. ( Usually they ask if you can drop your car off in the morning and then they call you when it's finished) There is shopping and a few restaurants nearby on Colonial drive if you need a place to take up some time. Also their prices are less expensive compared to dealer service shop.

I think that for me, I've always heard horror stories about mechanics. I've also expirence that displeasure. This location was recommended to me by someone who when they told me expressd only positive things. Going myself can honestly say Mike The Mechanic is that and even more. Brad, who usually answers the phone, is kind and very helpful. He makes it a point that you fully understand what's happening with your vehicle. Anytime I've seen seen the staff, they have been pleasant and friendly. I can not recommend this place enough. I'm very happy with taking my vehicle here and know it will be in good honest hands.

I took my car to Mike the Mechanic to get a second opinion on a head gasket leak since my car had been losing radiator fluid. They confirmed that the used vehicle that I recently purchased within the last few weeks had engine work done to it (and evidently not great work) and likely had a bad head gasket (since it overheated once while I was driving it). They don't do any engine tear downs, but rather engine replacements (which I didn't know until speaking with the owner Mike). He let me know he would have Brad reach out to me in the next couple of days about being on the lookout for an engine to replace in my 2007 Toyota Matrix and getting me a quote. Mike ended up waiving the block test charge and sent me on my way. Depending on the the quote I get back from them, I will gladly take my vehicles to them. Patti (I think that's your name?) in the back that was helping Mike was also very helpful. I'm a full-time graduate student (meaning I'm not working right now), and the small act of kindness of waiving the block test charge meant the world to me. Mike the mechanic offers fair and reliable practices. You won t feel like they try to take advantage of you and upswell on unnecessary items. I take my 90s roadster, Jeep and Volvo to Mikes and know I can count on them for a fair priced solid repair.

Heard lots of great reviews and by word of mouth of Mike The Mechanic. I finally took my Land Cruiser to Mike due to misfire. Got the car back next day and back on the road again. The shop is straightforward, no upsell, with fair pricing and honest work. Brad and Curtis were great. Wish they also did exhaust. Think I found my go to mechanic for the cruiser!

Mike the mechanic is amazing. My wife's skid plate fell off. She took it in and they fixed it on the spot. In and out in 30 minutes. They were so great they didn't even charge her. However we made sure the mechanic got a tip.

Very honest and accommodating. My issue ended up needing repair by an exhaust specialist but they didn't even charge me for the diagnosis. I will definitely be back for maintenance in the future.

Have had a great experience with Mike the Mechanic both times I have brought a car to him. Replaced the alternator and fixed a problem with the gear shift linkage the first time. Fast, good price, quality work.Next time we had problems with what appeared to be an ignition problem to us. Took it there and they spent time to test it multiple times to get a good sense of what it was doing. Determined the fuel pump relay was the problem and they quickly got the part and got it fixed just before the holidays.Very satisfied customers.Services: Electrical, Engine repair

Well loved mechanic in the Winter Garden area. This place was recommended to me when we first moved to the area. We have had multiple positive experiences with them. They have a reputation for being honest and fair in their service and prices. Word has gotten around though so you may have to wait a bit for an appointment.

I ve taken my vehicle to Mike the Mechanic two times. Both of my visits were great experiences. They diagnosed my problems without charging me and set me up with the best plan forward to repair and maintain my car. In particular, Brad, who serves in the office communicated professionally, clearly and helpfully. I d definitely recommend their services!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My wife and I were transferred here for work. New to Florida and not knowing where to go Gator Tires was close to my office. They told my wife's car couldn't be repaired, because they don't make the parts needed for the repair. My wife found Mike the Mechanic on Facebook. I took my wife's car over on Monday. I was explaining the problem and the mechanic listened to the engine reached back inside and found the problem. I made an appointment for today. Yes the part isn't available any longer, but they made the part themselves. This is best shop great shop great machanics and good people.Thank You Ron HansonServices: Engine repair, Oil change

He's worked on my trucks for about 3 years now. When my wife's BMW needed service he was honest enough to make a referral (which was also a positive experience). I value honesty more than anything else. Price is a close second and then customer service. With Mike you get all three. Plus, the staff....they're all very helpful and kind.

My go to auto mechanic since they were recommended to me a couple of years ago. You have to make an appointment because they are always busy, which should tell you they are good. Brad the manager is great to deal with and their work has always been well done at a reasonable price. They even once referred me to a competitor because they didnt do welding and wouldnt take advantage of me doing unnecessary parts replacements. I highly recommend this business.

I just want to say, nothing more than, just a AWESOME experience at Mike the Mechanic Shop. I am from out of town, my engine light came on, I Googled and found this Auto Repair Shop, on a Friday-eve of 4th of July 2021 weekend. What a Blessing, I stumbled on Brad/Mike at this location. They were very nice and my experience was great, they took a look at my SUV, received an estimate was advised of what and when they could take care of me, and they did, I just want to say, Thank you.... I really appreciate your Professionalism and Kindness.
