Here's what you need to know. Don Allen runs an honest repair shop. He does quality work at a fair price. We've been sending our cars there for several years now. Only one time did we go a different direction on a repair, and that's because a friend who runs a dealership told us we weren't getting a good price for labor. We pulled the work from Don and gave it to our friend. That was a huge mistake. It ended up costing more money than Don had originally quoted, and the work done by our friend was shoddy, resulting in further repairs a week later. Repairs that we had to pay for because our "friend" didn't stand behind his work. I feel ashamed that we questioned Don Allen's integrity. Don't make the same mistake we did. Don Allen's is a trustworthy place for auto repair and I can't recommend him highly enough.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Battery

I had the brakes and rotors replaced on my vehicle. The work was completed very quickly and the guy I dealt with was very friendly, even taking the time to show me my rotors and explaining why they needed to be replaced. The online appointment process was easy and convenient and they even set up your own log-in on their site to review your service history and upcoming maintenance schedules. I've definitely found my new go-to auto shop!Service: Brakes

I used their website to book an appointment for an alignment, received multiple texts reminding me of the appointment, show up 15 minutes before appointment time only to be told, can t get to that today . The guy was very grumpy, almost as if he was mad that i was bringing him business. Definitely will not be back. My search continues for a decent local mechanic.

We have been satisfied customers at Don Allen for over 12 years. This is an honest shop owner with very good service. Never a problem. My neighbors told me about Don Allen 12 years ago. The neighbors on each side of us use Don Allen, my husband and I always go to Don Allen, even with our new cars, for oil changes. Our older car had new transmission done. Our daughter takes her car there. When trouble happens with a car, it is nice to know whatever the issue, we will NOT be lied to or ripped off. Don is the best!

I was recommended Don Allen Tire and Automotive by a local parts dealer. At the time, I was a new father and I we had just moved to West Orlando. And for the last 20+ years, I have always been extremely happy with the quality and price. Now, I bring every car (mine, my wife s and my sons cars) because I trust Don and his team.I ve met other automotive pros who have told me that Don is a legend and they take their vehicles only to him. That should say everything.In my opinion, as an adult, there are several professional you should know and trust (doctor, dentist, mechanic, painter, etc.). Without hesitation, Don is the one I trust.

I've been to Don's shop twice now for a few different reasons. He was very knowledgeable and honest! The first time I had an issue another mechanic wanted to charge me over $800 for a bunch of different parts. Don recommended we start with one part and if that wasn't the issue move on from there which ended up costing me less than $200 and my car was fixed. He was very quick in responding and sending me quotes. Scheduling was easy and in the time frame I was hoping for. My brother in law is a mechanic and said the prices were very good for labor/parts. I will be back if I have any other car problems! Highly recommend!

My family has gone to Don Allen for years and he has always been honest, fair and timely with his repairs. He has even given us a ride to and from our house numerous times when we were waiting for a part to get shipped to finish the work that same day. He is always very friendly even when he is busy and takes the time to explain what was wrong with the car, showing us exactly what work he performed on the vehicle. The support staff is also extremely friendly and they all know us by name! I highly recommend!

Don Allen and his team do it once again. My 2010 (yep) Hyundai Tucson (with well over 200K miles) had AC issues. Don not only repaired the extensive problem, but now the SUV itself is running better. I swear, all that man needs to do is STAND next to a vehicle and it runs better! We take our vehicles there and only there. He keeps them running until he can't. If he can't, he'll tell you! (Our '97 Buick finally died...). Honest, excellent work, fast and easy to accommodate drop off and pick up. Thank you Don Allen and team!Service: Air conditioning

Don Allen and his staff are the best. I have used his shop on many vehicles and inherently trust his judgment on how to keep my vehicles on the road and running. He is always understanding of helping his customers save a few bucks as well. He understands that we want our vehicles fixed, back on the road and want to be able to trust the diagnosis. I will always bring my vehicles to him for as long as he remains in the business

Great local shop. I like being able to drop off my car and trust the mechanic to repair the vehicle, and not try to up-sell me for air filters, wipers, etc. I have been using Don Allen for 9 years for 3 different vehicles. My family s been going to Don for almost 10 years. They always do a great job and are honest and upfront. Several times the bill has come out less than expected as they may find that certain parts don t need to be repaired/replaced. They re very accommodating. I wouldn t take my car anywhere else.

A great shop with honest service techs and honest management. If they tell you something needs to be done, it genuinely does need to be done. They don't take advantage of people who don't truly understand what might or might not need to be done on a vehicle. We've been using Don Allen for more than 15 years and cannot speak highly enough of his services

I've been going here for five years with our family cars and can only say good things about this business. Don and his hard workers always treat me with respect, tell me what needs to be fixed and what can wait, get the work done in a timely manner and don't rake me over the coals with inflated costs. Would highly recommend this place as your local car maintenance/repair shop.

After having quick chat for the problem in my car regarding the Brake System and Door Lock, I fixed the appointment and I was really impressed with the service I have received on my first visit. They quickly identified and fixed the problem in a very reasonable price. Kudos for the job well done.Keep up the Good Work ... !!

Don does fantastic work and makes it work for you and your circumstances. I had some issues with my Kia Optima due to a hydroplaning incident and just couldn't get all the work done in one shot. I was able to get the work done bit by bit with no pressure from Don. The work itself was excellent, the staff friendly, and I will be returning to Don for any maintenance/work I need done in the future.

Had a nail in my tire that had a slow leak. I needed it fixed ASAP as I was about to leave on a 3 week vacation and my tire would have been flat when I got back from vacation at the airport. I went to Clarks Tire and it was a 2 hour wait just to get in. I called 3 other shops in the area and they all wanted me to wait WAAAY too long for something that should be a quick fix. I called Don Allen and I was in and out of there in less than 25 minutes and at a fair price. He gained a customer for life from me.

I got my oil changed at a neighborhood drive through change place in Apopka. Yea, that new one near the catflish place. My oil started leaking immediately. Took my car to Jiffy Lube and they kindly reseated my loose oil filter. A week later and I'm leaking again.Took my car to these guys this morning and they took the time to find that the oil filter itself was damaged. All it took was another oil change. While there I had them replace a belt that had been squealing loudly for months and they offered the best price for that also.They'll probably be seeing my wife's van shortly.

Transparent and quick. The online scheduling system is very convenient. I drive 30 mins there and back because it s worth it. It s the only place I bring my cars now.

I stumbled upon Don Allen as a new resident to FL last year. Have been coming here ever since for anything and everything for both of our vehicles. Honest and reliable. Highly recommend.

I trust them explicitly. They are courteous, fair and truthful. I live out by the Florida Mall and am willing to drive all the way to Winter Garden just so they can work on my truck. Mileage is 197,000+ and still kicking.

Don and his staff are extremely friendly and honest! I would recommend them to anyone and use them again myself if I m in the Winter Garden area again. They were quick and definitely priced fairly. Don is a no-nonsense business owner and did not try to upsell me, which I can appreciate as a young woman.

Had an issue w/ my 2003 Chevy Impala; I've had several mechanics including our Fleet Manager at work; look at the issue with the ABS light being on; and the speedometer staying at ZERO. They kept my car for a few days and drove and drove it; and fixed the problem. Come to find out the part that the original mechanic installed; wasn't connected correctly; there is a wiring plug that wasn't plugged in all the way. Of all the stupid mistakes; it took a REAL MECHANIC to find the problem.Thank you Don Allen Auto and all the Service Techs that worked on my car...it runs like it was brand new again!!!!
