Brought our 2011 low mileage Toyota Avalon here after being told by the local dealership that it needed $9K in work. A friend and her family have been bringing their cars to Mike for over 20 years and recommended him. So happy with them! Mike was very honest and didn't even look at what the dealer said the car needed because he wanted to do their own diagnosis. Only after his diagnosis, did he look at what the dealer said was needed. The end result was that we didn't need to do everything the dealership said was needed and at their exorbitant prices no less. Since we are obviously out of warranty, we are done with the dealer. When we first moved to WPB 17 years ago, we had a very honest, fair and reliable mechanic. The combination of us buying two new cars and him retiring, led us to using the dealer. No more! Mike's service was quick and he's honest and his prices are fair. Highly recommend him and Bill Tyson's Auto Repair in Wellington.

Spoke with guy upfront Mike wasn't helpful needed a simple serpentine belt replacement on one of my vehicles. His response was that they can't get it done today. I asked well what about Monday his response is they would need the car for over a day. When replacing a serpentine belt usually only takes a couple hours. Also never quoted me a price or said they could get that done better off going to some mechanic shop in the ghetto you will receive the same treatment here!

I can't emphasize how great Mike and his team are. I needed an alignment and was not able to drive my car, so Mike's team picked up my car free of charge and brought it back within a day! A month later, my steering rack completely blew. Mike's team was able to order parts and complete repairs within 48 hours. They will get right to the point with no sugarcoat. Mike kept me updated throughout the entire process, and now my car drives like new. I highly recommend this shop for any auto repair. They also utilize an app that lets you track the entire process of your vehicle, from start to finish. Prices are very reasonable. I will be taking my car here from now on.

Recommend avoiding this place for any major mechanical work, especially transmission work. Brought my Volvo here a while back for a transmission rebuild and paid about ~5k all in. I had the transmission rebuilt a total of 4 times with Bill Tyson s, I chose them specifically because they offered a warranty on their work, but after the 4th time and over 6 months of having the car collectively it s worth your time and money to go somewhere that will get it right the first time. Decided after the 4th time I wouldn t go back and I d run the car until it quit, which it did less than 10k miles after the last rebuild. Ended up stranded on the side of the road less than a year later.TLDR: Can t speak for basic maintenance, but if you re looking to have major work done, I d recommend bringing your business elsewhere.

This is my first time using Bill Tyson after hearing recommendations from multiple people and just being tired of hearing my usual mechanic say he's not sure if he could fix my car anytime I brought it in and I'll say I'm very pleased. My starter went out on my Hyundai Sonata and they had it fixed in a pretty good turnover time and picked it up for me for free and even offered delivery when I told them i'd pick it up when I could. Overall would recommend this place and would come back to have my car worked on again.

I've been taking my high mileage car to Bill Tyson in Wellington for the past 6 months. When I brought my car to them for specific repairs, they had also informed me of work that needed to be done that I was not aware of. At first, I was being cautious and put off the additional work they recommended only to find out that they were right. So, I brought my car back to them some time later for the full scope of repairs they had initially recommended. My car is now driving really well and in good mechanical condition. I feel confident in their guidance about the repairs that my car needs and I feel secure in their workmanship.

Please go this shop. Legit the most honest team I have ever encountered. Will not charge for something you do not need. Mike and D are incredible. Do not go to another shop in Wellington!!!

What an outstanding and unique auto repair center...overseen by its wonderful and helpful manager, Mike N....he's the best. I have three of my cars (an Explorer, a Jeep GC and a Volvo wagon) each repaired and serviced by Bill Tyson's Auto Repair. His estimates are always considerably less than the dealer's. Mike does not waste time.... he jumps from his office, inspects your car, takes photos and requires an online Q&A to be filled out, and boom...one is booked in, the car is serviced perfectly...and even returned the same day to you, free of charge if you're local to Wellington, FL. Where does one experience service like this anymore? Absolutely wonderful...FIVE STARS for exceptional service to Bill Tyson and especially to its manager, Mike N!! Thanks Mike!!!!

Smooth experience from start to finish!! Only slight issue was the after hours team. However, the shop fixed it. Very honest and doesn t try and get more money out of you, if the work wasn t needed. If something happens to our truck, we will definitely call them again! Couldn t be happier!

What I feared would be a major AC system replacement turned out to be a quick refrigerant recharge. They tried to trace for leaks, but none showed up. I was treated fairly, courteously and efficiently and felt that the invoice matched the amount and quality of work involved.

I was kinda hesitant when i saw free delivery and pick up sounded to good to be true. The guys over there didn't try to upsell me just a oil change and the really crazy part was they were 10 bucks less than waiting at the lube place.. thanks definitely recommend

Phenomenal service! We took our van (well, actually they came and picked it up with their free of charge pick-up service) to Bill Tyson s in Wellington because we had a strong fuel odor inside the vehicle. Mike Noon was our technician, and quickly diagnosed and repaired the fuel leak. After driving the vehicle, Mike noticed that it was driving rough and gave me a call to tell me the leak was fixed, but mentioned the roughness of the ride.I was aware of this as I had take. It for repair for that issue to a different location before, and the reason we were looking for a new mechanic was the other place didn t do fuel leaks. I explained that we had the coils replaced for the misfiring issue and the plugs, but after that did t fix the issue, the other place said it was a bad cylinder, and essentially our engine would need to be replaced. Mike said if it was the cylinder that was true, but felt strongly it wasn t that issue. I gave the green light to take a look and see what he could see.He was right! He worked on the van, corrected that issue, and found yet another issue that had a bad engine block mount (which when he described the symptoms I agreed it had been doing that).Long story longer, Mike found a few issues that needed repair and it was all at a very reasonable price!I have a new mechanic now for as long as I live in South Florida!!!!Thank you Mike!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

Been using Bill Tyson for over 25 years. He has fixed my mother in laws VW Jetta numerous times when other mechanics were stomped. Does a better job than the dealership, at a better price.

Driving in Wellington my serpentine belt broke on my work van. I had to search quick for a local repair shop before it overheated. Remembered Bill Tyson s which I used to go to years ago. Mike was very accommodating but could not repair it same day. But was able to take care of it the next day. Very happy with the prompt service and fair pricing. He even inspected the entire truck for any inadequacies which he let me know. Would definitely recommend for a futureOnce again, Mike from Bill, TYSON AUTO repair came through. With honest Repair not charging me anything for a warranted job done a few months ago. Hard to find an honest owner repair shop these days. Highly recommend!!

I was told by the dealership my car needed a laundry list of things done, but when Mike at Bill Tyson looked at it I was told I only needed a couple things that weren't all that serious. No one wants their car in the shop but Bill Tyson s makes everything incredibly easy from drop off to pickup. They stay in contact with you throughout everything and are very honest and open about your options to go forward. I always trust their recommendations, which isn t true of shops I ve used in the past. They diagnosed my problem quickly and efficiently and gave me options so I could decide how to move forward.

I was afraid that my car would not be able to make it to Wellington for repair and so their complimentary pick up and drop off service was a life saver. Because the problem may have been fixed for free at the dealership, Mike tried to contact my dealership's service department to find out. When he couldn't get an answer, he suggested that I try to get in touch with someone to see if my problem would be covered by the dealership. It turns out that it woud not have been a covered repair, but I truly appreciate Mike trying his best to do right by me, even if it would have cost him business. It was a complicated repair, but he did it within the time frame he said he would for the cost he estimated. The bill was clear and detailed, so I knew exactly what I was paying for. He did what he said he would and everything went smoothly from my end, from the hard working pickup and delivery guy and all points in between. I will always be grateful to Mike and his service team and highly recommend Bill Tyson's Auto Repair, Wellington.Service: Electrical
