Sabrina and Hope are Super! The nicest women. They treat we guests so special. (They are the women who clean the restrooms) Have been traveling the US for years and they have to be the most respectful, kind women who work with the public that we have seen. All the other campgrounds can definitely learn from them. (As far as the campground goes, it's kinda hard to get a reservation. The $5 per package delivered there is too much IMO)

This is our 3rd time staying here in the past three years and it never disappoints. The staff and people make this place! Are the grounds perfect? No. Are all the sites sewer? No. Is there a few tight spots to turn in the campground? Yes but everything here outweighs the cons. The activities here are amazing for kids and adults. Such a family friendly place. The staff is actually welcoming and friendly to the children which is not often found. Every staff member went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. They offer a pump out service if you don t have sewer and the guy who does it is a great dude. The past two weeks are some of our favorite this entire winter in Florida. Thanks Peace River for giving us an unforgettable 2 weeks. Destiny and Christine deserve an extra round of applause for their activity planning. Ps. Don t miss out on the adult bingo on mondays!

I was a member for 5 years. I am trying to cancel this membership. They continue to rack up back dues and will not cancel. Horable customer service. I never stayed where they are accusing me of staying. They are using this incorrect canceled reservation to continue to bill me for a membership I am not using and have cancelled. The parks are very difficult to reserve and the sites you get are second rate. The park staff treat you as second rate. Beware of this organization they are horrible. I try never to leave bad reviews. This this nightmares needs to be public knowledge to causation the public.

The young lady that stood at the counter inside the office, and then later in the day patrolled the grounds by golf cart, had a very nasty attitude towards guests. It was enough to never want to return. The man working inside the office at the time was very polite and helpful. The same girl that was rude and harassed campers, charged 5.00 PER package, even if you had nessessary medical equipment delivered, she threatened to return your items. We offered to pay with a debit card but she only wanted cash.We needed a receipt showing it had been delivered for reimbursement..We watched her take money from several people, charging 5.00 per package, but always required cash - no receipt. She'd obviously been making a sizable amount. It was terrible, as most people there, were elderly and displaced, due to Hurricanes at that time. People had to "come back at a later time to receive their package, "when they had cash". We spent an afternoon watching people come and go from the office.... retrieve cash for this woman, and return to get their items. One elderly man (a fellow camper) advised others to get a PO box to avoid her "cash in pocket policy", but unless you stay more than once, that was even more expensive to receive your supplies. No other campground we've ever been to, had a "cash only policy" and 5.00 per item was more than the original item usually cost. All other places we visited were very polite and friendly and accommodating. This woman had to be making a sizable amount weekly collecting cash from the elderly and displaced. She was THE ONLY ONE that ever did this that we were aware of.

The resort sites and location are fine. The issue is that when you arrive you are told you can pick any site that isn't blacked out or reserved. That is it. So you drive to the sites and realize that almost all sites are taken, reserved, or have electrical issues. Us along with two other parties where driving around aimlessly, just to find an open site. We first backed into a site that had electrical issues. So we had to walk around and find another solution. I called the front desk and they said we could pick a site that is reserved as long as the reservation started after our departure. I just wish they told us this to begin with. We backed into the site to the chagrin of our neighbors since they told us the site was already reserved and they just didn't want us there. It wouldn't take a lot to keep an accurate site availability spreadsheet or map so when visitors come you can tell them what to do instead of having them driving around. That can cause damage to their rigs or others. I don't think we will be going back.

We got a good site. That s about the end of the good stuff. Doesn't seem like they are doing the septic lottery right now. I wish they would have said something about the state of the river and campground. Main draw to come here is fossil hunting. River is in flood and half the camp ground is closed off and tore up. Nature trail is under water and you can t get to the back of the campground at all. I should have done a bit of research before coming but I still feel bait and switched. If I were running the place I would put something on the site or at least Facebook clarifying the state of the grounds and river. Do your self a favor and check the height of the river before coming out here. As it is right now it s not worth the money or time to come here.. Glad we shortened our stay from 4 to 2 nights. Off to better spots tomorrow.

This place is terrible, the staff is very rude and not helpful by any means, anytime you talk with the lady's they act like you're a problem, do not fall for the membership, they will lead you to believe you have a guaranteed place to stay in including there partnering parks, but if it's busy season you're a nobody and your membership is meaningless, I hope they get some better management in there and take there members into consideration more instead of leaving people stranded, also there has been many issues with the online scheduling, then online booking will say there are open days available but you are unable to select them, please fix the booking process online, if I could cancel my membership i would, at least if i wasn't paying for that I could afford to stay at other locations but I'm stuck and when i have no other place to stay im homeless in a parking lot, please consider releasing those who want to leave the membership.

Located on Rt 17, a nice, green campground on the side of the Peace River. Easy access to the river. They have a nice pool, a small playground for kids, and a tennis court. No activities, even on Memorial weekend. They are in the process of rewiring and rebuilding after a flood. It could be nice, but Thousand Trails always seem to be rebuilding, and only half the sites open. All back-in sites. Good 2 or 3 day stop over when traveling.Walkability: A trail along the river

The park is limited due to repairs going on, the south bath house has 2 restrooms, two showers and two stand alone sinks. Only 1 electrical outlet ( not convenient) . The front bath house is closed. No where to use the bathroom at the pool. The pool is beautiful but kinda small for the size of the park. I can t imagine being here in the season.Noteworthy details: It is not a hotel it is a Mobile home park and RV park. Very limited space because of current repairs. Once it s up and running it should be really nice. I would suggest cleaning up around the perimeter of the permanent residences, first impressions are important and mine wasn t so good, but I did find a spot that I could park for a few days.

This is a beautiful campground even after the hurricane Ian damage. There were large sections closed due to damage to the sites or the electrical pedestals so the options were limited, but there were still many sites to choose from.We ended up staying at the bottom of the hill where the road is. You do hear traffic but we weren't bothered by anything other than the loudest of trucks. The site was huge with several trees while also being easy to get in and out of due to a perpendicular road.It is the season where it starts to get really hot during the day though so we hope to visit again during the cooler months next winter.

A nice park, and our kids love looking for shark teeth. But we were told campsites at the river were closed, but there were campers there. From what we were told, you have to know the right people and be friends to get those spots. Very sad because it wasn't that way last year. Lots of open sites too. And some of the people there were rude to our kids if they got too close to them in the river, and yelled at them for splashing around. Pretty disappointed with our recent stay.

Good experience for the most part but alot of people let their dogs run free and by the 5th dig running up on me and my 2, it was an issue I had to address with the staff. The staff is courteous and friendly and so are most of the others who camp/RV here. The trails are very peaceful and tranquil along the river. We eve ln saw a baby gator!! I'd certainly say try it out, just be mindful of your dogs and others- keep them on a leash for their safety also!!!

Beautiful RV park. While it s still undergoing electric upgrades after hurricane Ian damage, the park is maintained well and we love it.Walkability: Lovely well maintained river trails through the woods.

I am very dissapointed, there was nothing on the website that said they had not recovered from hurricane damage, nor that their office closed at 4pm. I arrived at 4:15 and had to ask random guests what to do. I then found that 1 of the guests that I had asked worked here and then they explained that 50% of the sites had no power restored after the hurricane damage, 99% of which was the 20/30 amp that I had paid for. I drove around the park by myself trying multiple sites to find they only had 30/50 amp which I had no plug for. After looking for an hour and a half, I finally found a spot that was severely slanted to one side, but at least I could plug in to run my ac for my dogs. Since I had already paid in full for 3 nights, I cannot get a refund. 10/10 will not come here again.

I would have given a 5 star review if the roads weren't so horrible. There are only 2 bathrooms in the park. One is at the pool. The other bathroom is very nice. Each shower is private with a locking door. The showers are nice and up to date. I loved having hot water. Each campsite is a nice size and well maintained. The electricity went out during the middle of the night on my first night there. I called the office to report the outage. I was happy when a real person answered the phone. I reported the outage. The electricity was back on after approximately 30 minutes.I am still camping at Peace River. I have 4 more days here. I expect these last 4 days to be as peaceful as the past 4.
