Charlie's is the only place I will take my vehicles. Rick is an honest man and does quality work. Prices are very fair. Best auto shop in the area.

We have been looking for a car service garage that is like the one we had in our small town and we finally found it with Charlie s Service and Rick. A place that you can trust will only do what is needed and is honest as the day is long. Great service, honesty, and fair prices. We would recommend Rick and his garage to anyone. These folks are shady sheisters, and will rip you off - big time (see below)!!!My mother had her 2011 corolla towed to Charlie's recently due to a check engine light and rough idle.She was told the repair would be $365.55. That said I called a spoke with Rick, who advised me that the error code pinpointed a bad ignition coil on cylinder 1. Rick told me the quote of $365.65 included replacing all 4 spark plugs, plus the ignition coil. I told Rick my mother was on a fixed income and all we wanted at this time was to replace the ignition coil, and have the spark plug positioned in cylinder 1cleaned. Rick's response was "EITHER WE DO ALL OF IT, OR YOU CAN TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE." That's like taking your car to ntb, asking to replace 1 tire and having the service manager tell you "either we replace all four tires or you can go somewhere else."I live in St. Louis, otherwise I would have done the work myself.Please keep in mind the parts cost, per Rick: ignition coil @98, and 4 plugs @18 each - Total 180. It literally takes less than 30min to replace these parts, yet they charged almost 2 lhrs for labor (rate @100per hr) !!!DO NOT HAVE YOUR VEHCLE SERVICED HERE!!! They will overcharge and do work that does not need to be done.You stay classy, Rick!!Service: Engine repair

Have been getting my cars repaired by Rick Bragg at Charlie's service for many years. Great mechanics.. They always do their best and are most importantly straightforward and honest about the work that they do. 5 stars all the way.Disregard unfair negative review above about the added cost of doing business with a credit card. They could just take cards and add to everybody's costs, but are able to keep costs lower for many of us by charging the convenience fee.Keep up the good work Rick.

I am very pleased with Charlie s automotive!! These guys are the best in town! And I have dealt with some SHADY mechanic shops in this town! When I thought hope was lost, I was recommended to these guys. They did a great job figuring out the problems with my F-150 (can t stand Fords anymore!!!) they charged me less than they estimated and did a great job! A week later my truck had a wobbling problem and took it to them since they did a good job last time. They discovered the problem was a bad tire, which they referred me to a tire shop to have replaced. I asked how much for the service, they said no charge! Very much appreciated and these guys are highly recommended!!

Our family has used Charle's Service for several years and until this time I was very satisfied. When my wife went in to have her starter replaced on her 2012 Sonata they quoted a price that was more than other vendors average price (like Firestone) charged but we stayed with that price so we wouldn't lose the diagnostic fee. Then when she went to pay the bill the owner told her that she would have to add an extra 3% because she is paying with a credit card, which is illegal in Florida with the exception of tax collectors and utilities. Then when she asked him about the charge he became short with her and said she didn't have a choice unless she paid cash. No one in my family will ever use Charle's Service again.

We have been using this mechanic for the past year or so. He has gave us estimates and they are either spot on or cheaper. He could have easily made unnecessary replacements and we would have never known. Rare to find an honest and reliable mechanic these days.
