Hands down the best place to shop for motorcycles, scooters, atv, etc. Shawn Poneleit the owner is so straight forward, honest, and sincere in helping you. He provided me a quote on my new 2024 Honda ADV 160 and it was $1,000-$1,500 less than Sun Sports Cycle & Watercraft, Inc. in FT. Myers, RIVA Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, and Rick Case in Davie, FL.There were no games when I came into the shop, Ryan helped me with the Honda financing and everything went smoothly. They helped me place my bike on the hitch carrier and made sure I was good to go...After taking my motorcycle class and riding a few hundred miles I came back to purchase extended warranty and some accessories and again, nothing but 5 star service! I would recommend them to everyone!!!

So my wife, Donna Whitman, wrote the other one star review a few days ago. She was frustrated - although everything she said is true, but I want to try to be fair...I had the scooter for about a year and had checked the oil a few times including a few months ago where the levels showed fine. I've been doing a little bit of research and of course there's people recommending you check your oil every week and thats fine and im sure good.... but exactly what I told the mechanic when I brought this thing in was that I had it for about a year and it has been perfect the whole time and I am by no means mechanically inclined and hadn't really done anything and figured it needed a look over and that in the past couple days I heard a ticking noise but there was no effect on performance at all. I told him I was game for whatever else it needed but that was my main concern - an engine noise that had just started. The mechanic took it for a ride and said he heard nothing. I found that odd and especially more so afterwards since when I rode it home after he recommended and ordered the parts for a new drive belt, new tires and an air filter it was still making the noise. I agreed to these $500 in repairs that had nothing to do really with the reason i brought it in, because I stress that was my main concern and of course I logically assumed that there would be further investigation besides just telling me he didn't hear anything after an initial 2 minute ride.So I got a call at the parts came in when they did and brought scooter into drop it off at which point I had to remind the mechanic about my concern over the ticking noise being my #1 concern. When I pick up the bike a couple days later they had installed all of the parts they recommended and I actually didn't hear the ticking noise for the ride home, so I figured that must have been addressed as well and was something simple. Then on my very first real ride up to work after getting it back the engine made a terrible crunching and banging noise and failed. I had it towed to their shop and phone them to let them know what happened and was very cordial. I stopped in about an hour after it was dropped off cuz I figured they might have some questions for me and I was greeted by the mechanic holding a jar of dirty oil in my face. He told me there was no oil in the crank and it was bone dry. That it was destroyed and would cause 1500 bucks or something to repair. I was basically just reeling and in the state of such despair just trying to process everything and wasn't really engaging in conversation let alone getting angry at that point. After talking to everyone I know about this abysmal situation.. this is my only transportation and not a toy - I have it because I can't afford a car right now... everyone encouraged me to go back and that it was in no way right that that thing should have ever left the shop bone dry regardless of whose fault it was or how it got that way. I thought about it and they were definitely right.I think the chances are pretty high and that that thing did go into their shop really dry and maybe that's where the ticking noise was coming from and that's why I came to them as professionals with that being my main concern. And they're investigation into that didn't go any further than a 2-minute ride? Nothing after i dropped it off and then paid 400 something for all the other stuff you recommended? Not even checking fluid levels. How could you send that thing out bone dry? Its sorry and inexcusable. Not right and everybody knows it.I think this is probably overall a decent business and serves a lot of people in a really good way. But they were dead wrong and refused to acknowledge it and make it right. They offered me $200 off of the $1,500 or whatever the cost was of the repair after I just spent 500 bucks almost on my only transportation that they sent out of their shop without even checking fluids when I complained of an engine ticking noise. A very pathetic moment

Terrible.. If I could give 0 stars I would. We brought our bike into the shop and asked them to thoroughly look it over and service it. In addition to the service check we brought it in for, they ecommended new tires, new drive belt and air filter which we agreed to.The first ride after getting the bike back from the shop the engine went due to not having any oil in it whatsoever. How do you take a bike to a shop to be serviced and looked over and they don't even think to check the fluids? They're trying to blame it on us for not getting the oil changed regularly, however they didn't even check the oil when it was in their care and sent it out the door bone dry. We asked for them to look everything over and checking the fluids should have been the first thing done. Even Tire Kingdom checks fluids before sending vehicles out the door.Total avoidance when it came to acknowledging the mistake and making it right. They tried to say "you didnt ask us to check the fluids." Yes we did, we asked for a thorough service check and were willing to do whatever was recommended. We didn't know we had to hold the hand of the professional to get basic service that could have prevented this whole situation. They offered us a $200 credit towards labor on a $1,500 job to repair what their negligence caused after I already spent almost 500 bucks there 2 days prior. Worst thing about it is the cost of the parts to repair the damage are minimal, it's the labor that's expensive.. Looks like we will be speaking to our lawyer. Unreal.

I brought my son on there to fit him for his first dirtbike! Sean and the finance lady were amazing! When I told my son the dirt bike was going home with him he started to cry which touched the staff very much and they were just as excited as we were. They were amazing and treated us as if we were part of their family! Highly recommended!

I ride a lot. I have 2018 Goldwing, which I bought 4/17/21, and I have over 21,000 miles on it. JR, Ryan and team are top notch. Skilled, accommodating, friendly, helpful, and they give a military discount. I had accessories like the truck and rack installed, maintenance, and tires. Each item was easy to schedule, and done while I waited. I only own the bike anymore. I try to schedule all my bike work when I come to Florida, and if I need work, I make the trip back if I am out of town.

I was recently in the market to buy a motorcycle, and wanted something pre-owned. I started checking cycle trader, and some other places online. I found a bike I liked at a good price, and contact the dealer (South County Honda) and Ryan replied. He was helpful, and provided some better photos and information on the bike. I made arrangements to drive down to Venice on the following weekend. I had already arranged a loan with my bank.I drove down, and had a little difficulty getting to it since the address I had did not list North or South (and of course I set my GPS to the wrong one first, lol. That and the roads are all torn up due to construction). But we arrived, and met Ryan. Very nice guy... low pressure sales, and helpful! I took the bike for a test ride... and like it. So we negotiated the price a bit, and I bought it. Ryan even gave me a nice deal on a new helmet for the ride home.Great company to do business with... very professional and helpful. They took care of contacting my bank, and getting the loan completed, and made the purchase very easy.Highly Recommended! Great people to work with!

I had the smoothest purchase for my new 2023 Honda Rebel 500 with Ryan from South County. He was very responsive to my emails and I was able to go into the dealership and walk out with a brand new bike all in 30 minutes. Ryan was able to make the process extremely smooth and was very professional throughout our interactions. I would recommend South County Honda to any and everybody looking for a bike.

Very happy with my experience here. I thought I had damaged electrical stuff on my 2018 CBR300R when I accidently tried to jump-start it but had reversed the polarity on the cables...but fortunately I just needed a new battery. I feel a bit silly not having figured this out myself. Nonetheless South County Honda figured out issue and had me back on the road quickly. No gimmicks, just a nice friendly staff and fair price.

Dropped off my bike on Saturday morning to have the rear brakes repaired, oil changed and just a good look over since it has set for about a year and a half. Left thinking I would go pick it up next Saturday maybe depending on there shop load. Then about 3 hours later I get call saying your bike is ready. I want to thank everyone for an awesome job and timing. I know it can't be like this all the time but I want you know I really appreciate your customer service and the friendly greeting. You have earned a long time customer.

South County had my bike for over 2 months. Told me it was my ECM so I bought one and it wasn't an ECM issue at all. I went in to pick my bike up because I was told they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. I pull up and my bike was outside with water and rust spots on it with a bag attached to the handle bar. The bag had my power commander inside which was cut out of my bike. I have a full after market exhaust so now I have to go buy a new power commander or splice wire. The mechanic said he had to cut it out even though it's just plug ins. I addressed the issues with the owner Shawn and he seemed to not care and wouldn't replace my power commander. And I never got an answer about what was wrong with my bike. Wouldn't recommend South County Honda to my worst enemy. Bad customer service and mechanic doesn't know what he's doing.

Called this morning to ask if the service department could put a new rear tire on my zx14r today and JR answered and tell me to bring it down and he will try to get it done but in a tone of voice that sounds like I interrupted his nap time, first time caller and that small conversation did not inspire confidence in your service department. I'd recommend not calling there either, you don't want to interrupt little JR sleep time

I escaped the wife and wnt for a ride. Landed here with a 1998 Red 1500 Goldwing greeting me. I had the Gold colored 1998 one myself. Loved the 1500. Did mad miles on mine and sold it to upgrade to the 1800. But here was a beauty sitting there. The shop was sparse of inventory as is most shops during covid. Chatted with the sales guy for a while, very friendly. Good thing the wife took my credit card otherwise I would be driving back the wing with me.

I guess some guy named Jr worked on the bike tire, and I posted a copy of the receipt and sent a copy of the receipt to the ownerI'm a front line worker at the emergency room at the trauma center at the ER Hospital in Sarasota and I cannot make it to the motorcycle shop during the week during their hours it's not convenient for me.So last week I had a friend drop my old motorcycle front wheel and rim off with a new tire to be put on as I wanted to save them some time and me some money as it's not a big deal for me to take my front tire off my bike. So my friend went in there and droped the new tire with the rim and paid the shop thirty bucks to take the old tire off the rim and put the new one on in balance it.Well when I got my new tire back on my old rim, I noticed three things... a that the rim had been all scratched up from when they were taking the tire off and they also bent the sidewall of the rim on one side where the scratches were. I also noticed that they took off every single weight on the rim and did not replace one single weight so I imagine my tire is not even balanced.I'm so bummed I don't know what to do I don't think I want to go in there and confront them because I have already been verbally abused going in there and them asking them a simple question and it is terrible customer service that I have received in the past I do not why it no way I have ever went back. I own 12 motorcycles and have had motorcycles on my life and race vintage arma motorcycles and it is hands-down be worse customer service place I've ever been to in my life and I only go in there under extreme duress and an emergency situation.I have been there in the past in the middle of the afternoon during the week and the manager has been sitting in the back drinking beer acting half drunk, just complaining and whining about customers and how bad they are.. that should have been a clue big enough to never go back in there but I just like to give local places that chance. My bad I guess..If I could give them negative points I would..

I strolled in on a whim during Covid to check the inventory and they had the exact CBR500R in red that I was after. The salesperson was awesome, informative, no pressure and answered all of my questions. I submitted my credit app on Saturday morning and picked it up when i was out of work at the end of the day, they even helped me load it into my minivan. Highly recommend these guys.

Waste of time. Immediately made me feel like an inconvenience upon arrival for even bringing my bike in to be looked at. Came in with an issue that they just couldn t be bothered to figure out. Initially they tried to tell me my bike was out of gas when I brought it in with 2+ gallons. They basically charged me to put an additional 22 miles on my bike, charged me for tinkering with it. I was told it was running fine yet when I get there to pick it up it starts and does the same thing I brought it there for. Employees were rude, lazy and inexperienced.

The manager JR damaged my motorcycle, he lied about the damage, I proved with pictures, he was still lied, the owner who I talked to he was asking me if I want to sue them, I told him no, but the JR manager and his liewill come back and hunt him with karma, never will use the shop again, bad business. Today i got respond from South County Honda, the Owner is talking around the the damage he is making things up! JR the manager was working on my 1987 Honda Magna in excellent condition, I head some rust in the tank and some debris kluged up the choke, JR used some harsh chemical cleaner, the fluid was dripping down on the air intake cover and eat up the paint, he is liar, he never started the bike so I head no idea about the carburetor was clogged up also, careless useless manager work, second time he complained to me that the Owner dont want my bike here. I believe because I have shown him pictures from my bike before was taken to the shop. Make the long story short JR repaired the carburetor for $1,160.00 the bike started in the shop but i have not driven the bike, I toke the bike home with a trailer, returned the trailer came home started the bike up shifted in first gear and she died , my clutch was compromised, thanks to JR , this shop is compromised by bad elements, will never used again and will put out the word to say away. I have all the pictures to proved, same pictures I handed over to theowner. Thank for looking.

I have been using South County Honda for 10+ years. As a younger rider Steve and J.R are very knowledgeable and have given me tips and the correct service I need when I need it. Shawn is a great and detailed sales person. I own Yamahas now and still use them for tires and routine service that is outside of my area of knowledge. Definitely the best place to go for good power sports service in Venice.

ABSOLUTELY the best and only place to buy a Honda. We bought two Honda Groms today. South County Honda went above and beyond anything we could have imagined or expected from a business to make it happen! Staff was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. Will never go anywhere else for our bikes. Thank you South County Honda, we appreciate you making our experience the very best.
